Each rig only has 1 card?

Yup, Got the systems, complete with an 80+ PSU for $25 each. Add a thumb drive and good to go. They will each support 2 cards, however I would need to buy a bigger PSU.

Compare the cost of even the lowest priced rig that can hold 4 cards? Much better Per Card housing.

Here's half the stack:

1643  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Sell my GPUs and Host, or Sell and Ship? on: March 13, 2012, 03:56:06 AM
Good evening community. I currently house approx 50 mining rigs. Half have single GPUs (5870's and 6950's), half have 5970's.

I'm 80% full on available power in my server room, and am looking to switch over to FPGA units. As such, I'm looking to sell my GPUs.

Wanted to hear opinions on if I should sell the GPUs and ship them, or if I should sell the GPUs and host them?

I want to sell the GPUs to raise immediate capital to buy FPGA rigs.

  • If I were to sell the GPUs, what % of the mined coins should I charge?
  • Any suggestions on how to monitor and collect the hosting fee?

Thank you and I look forward to hearing your responses!

Single
Cost of 1 unit = $599 @ 832 megahash/s @ 80 w/h
Cost of electricity per 1 unit per year = 700,800 watts or 700.8 kilowatts x 0.055 cents(price of electricity) = $38.544
Cost of operating 120 units or 100 gh/s x 38.544 = $4,632.69
Production Goal = 100,000 mh/s or 100 gh/s
Profits per 1 year based on 120 units or 100 gh/s = $127,239.312500

Cost of machine per megahash = $599/832 mh/s = 0.71 cents per mh/s

In conclusion. Lower cost of 1 unit(and total units) and lower electrical usage per 1 unit(and overall) per year. Higher cost of operating 120 units at $4,632.69.

RigBox
Cost of 1 unit = $29,890 @ 50,400 megahash/s @ 2500 w/h
Cost of electricity per 1 unit per year = 21,900,000 watts or 21,900 kilowatts(or 21.9 megawatts) x 0.055 cents(price of electricity) = $1,204.5
Cost of operating 2 units or 100.8 gh/s x 1,204.5 = $2,409
Production Goal = 100,000 mh/s or 100 gh/s
Profits per 1 year based on 2 units or 100 gh/s = $127,239.312500

Cost of machine per megahash = $29,890/50,400 mh/s = 0.59 cents per mh/s

In conclusion. Higher cost of 1 unit and higher electrical usage per 1 unit per year. Lower cost of operating 2 units at $2,409.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT ALL OF THIS?

The rig box is still a hypothetical device, not built yet, and not tested.

Have 4 hours in and few post. Still nothing unlocks?!

Guess it's for the best. People with too much time on their hands end up wasting all of ours.

The only 100% secure wallet is a wallet that on a flash drive in a vault.

I realy should have read the restrictions. I've been trying for an hour to talk about my new Butterfly Labs Single. I'm not terribly "new" to bitcoins as my rigs are 29GH combined right now

I'm only using one 6990, it's pretty amazing

I'm really just trying to get in touch with gigavps since I can't find him in IRC. I just had my butterfly labs Bitforce Single arrive. This is extremely frustrating. Why is there this restriction?
