Then they still hoped and thought noway MtGox is bankrupted. Some even sent fiat money into to "took advantage" of the low price. Now they still think oh.... First he resigns his position at the Bitcoin Foundation, next he deletes twitter posts, then Bitstamp takes a 9000 coin - 5 million dollar nosedive. gosh, missed it, that must have been when I took a shower these types of action are ONLY meant to manipulate the market, notice the rebound -- that means the market is getting smarter Seems like Mark has been dumping a lot on the other exchanges lately, he did it on his own exchange first. He doesnt have to dump anything. When you stop allowing withdrawal, the trading can be fake because noone can confirm a sell or a buy. Mean while, Mark was trading on other real exchanges. He can use MtGox to influence other market. |

I am thinking of taking advantage of their low price.
However, I wonder if putting dollars there is a good idea in the first place. If people can withdraw their dollar from mtgox then dollar balance there is not underpriced.
If people can't then I shouldn't put dollar.

I don't know about you guys, but I had some good times in my teens and early twenties playing Magic: The Gathering. Who else would like to see Mt. Gox return to it's roots?
I mean, you probably wouldn't be able to swindle people out of nearly the same sums of money, but there is definitely still profit to be had. All those cards I got rid of so many years ago are apparently worth big bucks now, and not subject to the same volatility as BitCoin.

Something interesting is happening at the moment I think. Gox remove their tweets, relocate their office and that link few pages back saying "light at the end of the tunnel for gox customers". Maybe the exchange really is being sold to some more competent people? We'll see, we'll see.
Indeed, lot of stuff happened in few hours. Resignation from Bitcoin FOundation, tweets deleted, something's going on. Mark really throwing his toys out of the pram. They've been acting dodgy for the past month and now everyone thinks something is wrong? I cannot believe people have wired money to them! Greed.... i hope those idiots lost all their money. |

Actually its about time the Bitcoin foundation should be dissolved completely. ^^^ I second that. Get rid of all of the so called reps of BTC. Bitcoin has reached another growth level where it can sustain itself on its own. It doesn't need the helping hands to keep it up. Hell, disolving the BTC Foundation would yield good in the end. The true reps of BTC are the markets themselves and the millions of transactions that are carried out via BTC. This is only grow with time. Gox going away along with BTC Foundation would have more good come out of it than bad. Better correct the big mistakes now before they become 'too-big-to-fail' problems and will have to loose an arm and leg. Nuff said  Yes. Get rid of them. I'll wait in the car.
