1641  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: January 24, 2017, 07:15:42 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

This thing won't happen, because bitcoin is supported by us, the users, maybe it will go down but will not crashed as it was stated by the OP seems so impossible to happen then.
Bitcoin will received continual support because it gives people big amount revenue.
Yes, bitcoin will not be in that value because bitcoin has many supports that makes it in high value and increasing value.
The same thing with stability of the price the demand will increase so the value will increase too, stability is not applicable in the currencies.

I agree. Especially if it's used for trading. I think a lot of people are actually attracted to butcoin's fluctuation more so during the rate huke at the beginning of the year. I was able to convince a couple of friends within a week just by showing to them the movement of bitcoins during the first week of january and explaining to them that if the price then drops, that would be the best time to buy btc and then wait for another hike like that.
1642  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: January 24, 2017, 07:04:03 PM
Bitcoin is a global currency but still categorized as Digital Currency. Bitcoin is already popular around the world. It is currently being used for online shopping and other transactions with lesser fees. I believe that as time goes by, Bitcoin will become a major part for payments and its value will still go up.
actually still majority of people are not aware of bitcoin and specially in backward countries where most of the people do not have any access to internet or they do not afford the expenses of internet, so as time pass the users of bitcoin are increasing and hope that very soon bitcoin will be use by the majority of people. and then we will enjoy the facilities of bitcoin as currencies in most of the areas.
although bitcoin is not used my majority of people but still it is a global currency, because the users of bitcoin are present in all over the world.

I think we can say that bitcoin us used already by more people niw tban before but for me to consider something as a obal currency, it sbould be widely used as it is wihout being converted to fiat. People all over the world are using bitcoin yes, but mostly to transfer money or for gambling, but if you're going to use it for actual purchase, it would still be converted to fiat as i don't think there are too many establishments around the world that accepts bitcoin as itself.
1643  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use a Bitcoin debit card? on: January 24, 2017, 06:55:57 PM
Just curious how many users use one of these..

I've started using Xapo and its pretty good actually.
I can buy whatever I want with BTC.

They have some fees,I tried finding some companies with lower fees but no luck.

They card costs 18$,I guess it was..Actually all companies want like 15$-20$ for a debit card.
Which is a good investment..I guess..

Which one do u use and what are their fees? Smiley

Im not really aware that there are such debit cards that use bitcoin. Mkst likely with xapo, it converts btc to fiat when you do the purxhase. It's not really that much well kniwn yet though i'd love to have a debit card that uses btc so i can use my own btcs for purchase. It's just nit available from my location and i don't think it is available in mkst countries also
1644  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: January 24, 2017, 06:50:21 PM
In my opinion, both trading and investing is same. But the thing is, in trading, you'll be invest your money into other currency (even we can to goods trading) and in investing, you'll be going to invest your money on something else other than other currencies!

Well in a way we can say that investing is more on the long term than with trading. When you invest on something like a business, it's a continous process that includes maintenance of your investments. In trading, you actually monitor the movements of the coins you're dealing with to come up with the right timing. I agree that these are pretty much the same as what you do with investing can be applied also with trading.
1645  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: January 24, 2017, 06:45:15 PM
What are the features that a good investor should have? What are the characteristics of people who have enough capital and earn money from money?

What are the factors that make these people successful in their investments?

I think more than anything, you have to have patience. If you already have a high capital and are already prepared with all the information for your investment, i think it would be wise to take things slowly but surely. I've known people who've been a bit rash and at the process made key mistakes with their styles that at times resulted in losses instead of earnings.
1646  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Bitcoin became a legal currency? on: January 24, 2017, 06:24:21 PM
From the information I have, there are few countries that consider Bitcoin an illegal currency. Moreover, it would not make much difference if a larger number of countries came to declare the currency as illegal, because Bitcoin was designed to function outside the realm of governments, banks or any other centralized institutions.
It is truth. There are few contries dislike Bitcoin and because of that, the governemt decide to forbid Bitcoin. Anyone who has Bitcoin is considered as criminal. Therefore, there are any people using Bitcoin in that country. In my opinion, banning Bitcoin only causes negative effects. If you know how to compromise Bitcoin and the nation economy, that country will be much better
i do not think that any body has yet banned bitcoin, i think they are thinking about how to legalize it because the users of bitcoi are increasing everywhere and they are putting pressure on the governments to accept bitcoin as legal currency.

Till now no government has banned the bitcoin because bitcoin is completely digital currency and already it has been widely spread to all parts of the world. Even many countries are supporting it and even in some countries many people are paying taxes for using it.
sorry to say but bitcoin is not banned by a single country, although it was banned by Russia but now we can see a lot of Russian even in this forum, governments have not yet given any statement about bitcoin.
Yeah i don't think it's banned anywhere yet. Most likely governments are just waiting here and observing how bitcoin will be accepted my people and then that's when they'll make a.move towards it. Definitely bitcoin is under their radar already but not yet up there in the priority list. Though if it comes to it, i think there will be changes if governments absorb bitcoin so might as well enjoy the benefits we get from it now while its at this state
1647  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: January 24, 2017, 06:19:02 PM
Doesn't look like its dead yet, this old cat just keeps on ticking.

LOL you're right! Talk about resiliency Cheesy and bitcoin keeps on getting back a bit stronger after it goes down. I think we'll all have a good year ahead of us bro Cheesy  im just holding on to them btc's!!
1648  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: January 24, 2017, 06:10:46 PM
yes you should buy a house infact that its a good investment because our population is slightly increasing every year thats why you could sell it if you want with a triple prcice and buy another house. well it depends on your country. because im living in a third world country that's why im saying to you that having a house is a great investment of all . because right now im still saving up money in order to buy a house .

You're right. Real estate is a very good investment that mist of the time goes up in value over time. If btc goes up enough, i would definitely make housing a priority. Hopefully we can get to that point though where bitcoin would be that high. For now, i think we could just all hope for tbat time to come while holding our bitcoins.
1649  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: January 24, 2017, 06:00:54 PM
I want to start trading on a platform Smiley
Is there a platform which you guys could recommend to me ?
i think there is many good exchange to start trading but i prefer that new exchange is very best for trading and i recommend that BITSANE exchange is much more safe and secure exchange and there is very easy method for trade in BITSANE exchange.
Trading is the best one to get income source to earn money also trading can be our daily income basis i don't think that bitsane all exchange has its preference which they forming good too.

I do trading through yobit and cryptopia although i'm thinking on starting in placing btcs in poloniex as well. They say yobit has a lot of scammers but as far as my experiences trading there, it's a fairly good platform. I actually spend more time there than any other platforms
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What type of sports you love in sports betting and why? on: January 23, 2017, 01:05:25 PM
I hold soccer statistics and because of that I usually play soccer bets, I have a better chance of winning.

It all depends on individuals who has got interested in any particular game. For me, cricket is the best game to guess more accurate results because I follow most of the cricket games and I know most of the international teams strengths so I can guess results accurate but not always correct.

Well I think that's just how it goes. Most of us sports fans can pretty much have an idea of how a game would turn out by the information we have on the team and players. Especially if we've been following that certain sport for a long time already. Though we really can't remove the fact that even if a team is a heavy favorite to win a game, upsets can happen.
1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 23, 2017, 12:56:53 PM
Question: Regular Season MVP?
Russell Westbrook   - 11 (57.9%)
James Harden   - 2 (10.5%)
Lebron James   - 3 (15.8%)
Kevin Durant   - 0 (0%)
Kawhi Leonard   - 1 (5.3%)
Other   - 2 (10.5%)

Total Voters: 19

Our poll shows that Westbrook is #1 choice for regular season MVP but he didn't even make it Top5 in All-Star ballot. I'm changing poll for All-Star game. Which player will get All-Star MVP? Consider this when you vote, usually winning team's best player get the award. (There is only 1 exception in history)
Durant can be a good contender for this since west keeps winning the all star and possible that he will aimed the mvp, if he will get
more time inside the court for sure he will win the race, just for my personal opinion guys.

Well for the all star mvp I think russ would win it again this year. Being shunned as a starter, he may go out there to try to prove voters wrong in choosing steph and harden over him. And russ game perfectly fits an all star game that why he's won it a couple of times already. I see the same thing happening this year, though I'd love to see more of giannis and the other young guys play
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: has any casino ever been hacked losing a lot of money? on: January 23, 2017, 11:17:03 AM
i was talking to someone about bitcoin the other day, introducing him to bitcoin and also talking about what trading is and where he can do it.

then when i was talking about risks of keeping his bitcoin on exchange wallet and how many of them were hacked i was thinking that gambling sites are similar to an exchange, they are handling bitcoin (it may not be as large as an exchange but it is still big) and they have hot wallets.

so have any of them been hacked as exchanges were hacked?

if you are mentioning any here please add bitcoin price of that time or give a date so we can see how much money it was lost.

Well with how advanced and unbelievably smart ha kers are nowadays, it's not impossible to lose money over casinos through hacking. Especially o line casinos. So it really is a risk that we take whenever we place money as capilas for our gambling or in online wallets. We just have to really be careful and make the necessary security checks like making sure your passwords are secure and don't put all your money or btc's in the same place.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: January 23, 2017, 11:12:56 AM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?
if I didn't have the money it's better I don't gamble, trying to solve a problem with gambling it would create another problem, that's what I think and I think gambling is a problem

Yeah it's bad enough that you have a problem by your own why drag other people to it. Never have i tried gambling with other people's money nor try to solve amything through gambling simply because gambling doesnt give you a realistic way to solve any problems. Instead of gambling, i try to find other ways that won't affect the people around me or ask help and advice from family and friends. Gambling because of a problem is worse than becoming drunk as both accomplish nothing but in gambling you may lose money and add additiinal problems
1654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: January 23, 2017, 10:57:19 AM
When you guys are gambling and already doubled your bankroll, do you still play with the whole money you got or you take away half of your bankroll and start playing with your profit or not?

Good question to answer each person his own thinking when he was playing with gambling because gambling is just like addictive the more times we play the most addictive toward gambling. While i am playing gambling i already made double money than i will start saving my seed money. In this way we are in safe position to make more plays.

Yeah the longer you engage in gambling the deeper your craving would be for it. And i think the better way to do it if that's the case would be to rely mainly on your winnings if ever you have some. This is so that you won't have to delve deeper into your own pockets after exhausting your initial capital. If you lose all your capital then i think it's time for you to stop, though if you win i think you can continue gambling but only with the amount you've earned
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: January 23, 2017, 10:51:14 AM
Greediness is the main reason why gamblers are gambling, if not they would have been satisfied with their work, and this greediness keeps the gambling sites profitable

Some people are desperate enough to get more money, not because they are greedy but some are because they simply need more money so I kinda understand that they think that gambling is probably one of their last source to get more money, it is tempting and alot of people doesnt aware of the truth that you are just going to lose more

I don't agree. Greediness comes from excessive gambling and not the other way around. Not all gamblers gamble because they're greedy. Some gamble because of the enjoymebt and relaxation they get from it. Some, like professional poker players, do it as their profession. Sone do it for past time. There are other people who bet on their favorite teams on any sport. So it's not just about greed and money when it comes to gambling as people have different reasons why they do it. Ir's just that most of the time gambling is associated with greedy people who ruin their lives that gambling is placed in such a bad light
1656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again? on: January 23, 2017, 02:24:58 AM
Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again?

What are the reasons you come back to gamble?

First of gambling is most addictive one even though you lose your heart will suggest you to play again, but you cannot able to control yourself with out playing gambling. I have tried many time to control my self by not playing any more but it is not possible for me. Again i start gambling even though i lost that's how gambling is most addictive.

Well i think ypu're part of those kind of people that should never have started gambling in the first place because you're lacking the self restraint needed to play responsible gambling. There are people who knows what their limjts are and will do something about it when they feel that they're going beyond their means. These people, i think, are the ones who can shift from gambling to quitting, to gamblig again without any consequences to their lives and family. I've experienced this kind of feeling before and it helps to keep gambling in check by knowing your priorities and by this i can easily stop gambling anytime and then go back to it whenever time and extra money permits it
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 23, 2017, 02:18:39 AM

So you want to talk about the casuals as if they do not anything about boxing. But I ask you, was the fight organized only for the boxing experts and hardcore fans? Of course not or else it will not make any money. That is why they hyped it in the first place. It is more of a business and less of a sport these days. Gone are the days of the true great fighters like Hagler, Hearn, Leonard and Duran. Those fighters never disappointed amid the hype. Watching Anderson Silva in the octagon doing nothing is more entertaining than the Pacquaio versus Mayweather fight.

Accept it. It was one of the most boring fights in the history of boxing.

Haha although it's funny but you are true. I would rather watch anderson doing nothing but still entertain myself than watching that boring fight + mayweather won like what? haha are they serious?

But still the interest shows up when mcgregor wanted to fight a whore in boxing then after that if ever that mayweather would still won i would accept but he have to also get an MMA licensed and fight mcgregor inside the octagon haha.

I can see how the fight will happen right now between Conor and Floyd. Conor will go after his opponent around the ring and Floyd will counter. He can hit Conor and guess what? No knock out power from Floyd. If Conor can get one lucky straight to the chin that would knock floyd out. But we all know Floyd does not want to get it. He is there for the money.

Mayweather has been punched hard in the past and has resisted all of the big hits. People forgets he has a strong chin because he barely gets hit. Go watch more fights.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ofeqQ_ljCk

As you can see here, he has taken big shots, still managed to come back and win.

It is quite funny on how you predict the certain game. Tho mayweather loves to run i could really say that he can absorbed some hard punches because after all he has pretty much solid face( you can see it anyways) Grin Grin

Sorry but Mayweather will kick Conor McGregor's ass. He will outboxing him and make him look like an amateur, it's just how it is. Also people are judging McGregor's power with UFC gloves. With boxing gloves he would be a soft puncher, using bloxing gloves is a different game.

Well i don't really consider mayweather's style as kick ass at all. Running around and hugging opponents are a good technique to outpoint anyone and i agree that being a technical fighter, floyd has mastered these to perfection. I agree also that if the fight ever happens and if it would be pure boxing, we'd all see a very boring same fight as with most mayweather fights are, even with someone as explosive as connor. I just don't think anyone can counter mayweather's technicality when it comes to boxing
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling for Good, think for your loved ones on: January 23, 2017, 01:36:10 AM
so many people we love in this world. think of one of them, can make us forget everything. if you really want to stay away from gambling, probably thinking will make your family away from it all. Well, even if it takes time, but, believe that you can get out of gambling just to think about their future.  Quit Gambling for Good will make you better

I do not think that other matters much except ourselves.  In order to quit gambling, we can get inspiration from others but we should think first the wellness of ourselves and love ourselves.  I believe we cannot give out anything we do not have.  If we do not love or care for ourselves, how can we show care to others.  so to be able to beat gambling, we must look after ourselves.  Then use our loved one as inspiration to get out of gambling or gambling addiction if were in that situation.

I don't think this applies to a lot of people though. When you say that one has to care for one's self, sone people would give in to their personal wants, thus giving way to more gambling addiction. I agree that thinkingnof your loved ones first and how your actions could affect your relationship with them is a good motivation to quit. If you know what's really important in your life and you know what your priorities are then i think it would be a bit easier to quit gambling
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling : Your new strategy will work. But every day you need a new one. on: January 23, 2017, 01:26:34 AM
I am not searching for a shortcut, but trying to figure out where I am lagging.
But I am afraid I may end up wasting half of my life in finding out a perfect strategy.

Probably no or random strategy is the right approach ? or just searching for a new strategy is the real fun in gambling ?

I think it depends really on which gambling type you're into. When you play slots or dice, then i think a random win and run strategy eill work. That is if you're lucky enough to win a decent amount in roll. Though there are some strategies that would consistently give you earnings. Like when you bet on sports. Betting on a team or player that is overly advantaged when it comes to skill or number of good players will give you little earnings but almost a sure win all the time. Though there are upsets that may happen, it's not that often.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 23, 2017, 01:17:29 AM
Why are all the horrible teams winning against very good in performance teams?
Who the hell are portland have? Boston should of kicked their you know what and in overtime at the Garden.

Really? Did you really ask what Portland have? Do you even know CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard? McCollum and Lillard scored 65 points. Do you know Portland's record this year? They are not in play-off range right now but they are in 9th place with 19-27. Their win in Boston is not surprising result. You better watch some games before posting nonsense here.

LOL seriously! I think someone needs to check facts. Dame maybe a bit underrated compared to the top guards in the western conference but he's very well up there alongside russ, harden and steph if you ask me. And we're just mid season and portland could possibly be running for a spot in the playoffs if they geta good couple of games, which i think will come. And i think you just said that because boston is currently riding on isaiah's run of great games, but i agree that portland is very capable of beating boston there and ever higher tier times on any good night
