1641  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a leading currency? on: February 28, 2020, 10:01:31 AM
I consider it the safest investment on the digital phase most especially in term of security from outside hackers. The security still come from its pioneering state and size of adoption that made it difficult. I expect a more adoptive currency use when miners get little to nothing to earn again, though the asset use will still take priority for most investors.

I consider it a safe investment but no the safest.

We all know the risk of investing in Bitcoin, its volatility can be really fatal if you do not have the knowledge and the experience. Another thing is that despite the security of the system, the weaknesses of it are in the user and that could also affect the price since as more hackings happen, more people would be panic selling and there are those that even spread FUDs.
1642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: February 28, 2020, 08:44:13 AM
I'm a gambler but not addicted,
So, if you can't control yourself, you shouldn't gamble anymore.
You will never know if you have self control if you wont try to gamble.

What do you mean by that?

We don't need to try gambling to test our self-control. You could use your self-control to other things too, so if you want to try or test it out better do it on other things not in gambling. You are just risking your self from gambling and wasting your money on it.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 28, 2020, 08:12:34 AM
gambling is a threat for people that doesn't have self-control, its fun for the people that only play to consume free time. Just always gamble what you can afford to lose, No one wins the house.

It is not just a threat for them.

There are a lot of threats that gambling can do even to people who play it for fun. As long as they are gambling, it is a threat to them. No one knows what will happen but they can still end addicted to gambling.
It is true, even if you play only for fun, you will still getting addicted.
It is only a matter of time when you get addicted. But all gamblers will be the same in the end. Gambling is a threat due to its psychological effect it gives to a person, it makes a gambler to play deeper even how hard he tries to control himself.

Not all of them though.

We can't really say that all of the people that are gambling will be addicted to gambling. It is a threat to them since the possibility of them getting addicted to gambling is there as long as they are gambling. I know a lot of people that are gambling and I can say that there is a chance that they will not be addicted but it will not be the same to all of us .
1644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss, A life saver or a evil? on: February 28, 2020, 05:09:43 AM
stop loss must be used by all traders because it is very important if the market crashes when you are not watching the market for that stop loss is used when you cannot monitor the market

That is inevitable.

We all know that losing in this market is inevitable. You don't know what may happen and with the fast-changing price, you could lose without you knowing. Just an example the price dropped so hard just this week and if you invested at $9K or $10K, you already lost in just days. You can't stop that though you could reduce the risk in a way.
1645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So are we in bullish times or Not?? on: February 28, 2020, 02:13:19 AM
I think we are being stable.

The price really fell this week and I think someone really sold their BTCs at that time. For me it is not bullish but stabling at the price of $8800 to $8900.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Found old wallet with 0.5 BTC on: February 27, 2020, 01:08:39 PM
This really explains something.

Ledger is really safe when it comes to this and I think we should know now how helpful it is using a Ledger. Just put yourselves on the owner of that wallet, even though the OP can't really open it or access it, I would be really disappointed when this happens to me. Despite no one can use it, I just lost a 0.5 Bitcoin.
1647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin on: February 27, 2020, 12:04:42 PM
I never seen any game like this. A combination of games plus useful information about bitcoin. You have a good purpose creating this kind of unique game. If this will help people who do not enough knowedge  in bitcoin, then it is such a great idea and I do think many will suppport this  Awareness is always the key for adoption and this game of yours is simply amazing to do that kind of tasks that engage bitcoin informations.

There are a lot of games like this.

Giving information, used in the schools so children will be familiarized with the spelling of words and even familiarizing the keys on the keyboards, there are also games about Bitcoin. The problem here is that how will it gain players, if this game will be developed, someone needs to advertise this game so a lot of people would also play it.
1648  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin will appreciate forever on: February 27, 2020, 11:31:21 AM
Bitcoin will be appreciated forever because this is the big digital money that many people change their life. Bitcoin can give us hope and many people are getting rich because of bitcoin so many people appreciate bitcoin because this is the most popular crypto currency.

Not all of them though since there are some that just stop.

As there are a lot of people earning profits, taking advantage of the movements happening; there are also those people that are having a hard time with the volatility of this cryptocurrency. It will not always give hope and it will obviously not make people rich especially if you are just sitting on the wave not doing something to make an impact.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 27, 2020, 01:09:14 AM
If zion has the career most people expect, than it will be one of those games they replay as one older great versus a new up and coming great.  Zion definately looks good to this point.  He is already dominating the court at times and he really hasn't even gotten his feet wet yet.  Would love to see them make the playoffs just for the fun of it.

I don't know if you all know this site but gotta share it here.

They have these predictions and if you will be looking at it, there is a 60% chance of Pelicans to go to the Playoffs but less than 1% of winning the NBA Finals. I don't know anything about this but do you agree? PS. I do not own or advertise this site, I just saw it while browsing Zion and Lebron's game.

1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Agree To Publicize Your Journey From Being Chronic Gambler on: February 26, 2020, 12:43:58 PM
I don't know but I think I could accept the offer if he would not publicize my identity.

It may be an interesting story but I don't want to be that popular. I could just lay out my story, it may be an interesting or an amazing story I would tell the whole and true story. If he will not be publicizing my identity, I will not accept that payment as long as he followed what we had agreed on, that is enough.
There are just people who are not into publicity and that is totally fine. Everyone hides a side of their personality that they do not want to be known by other people. Although it would be a help since identity would make a literature more realistic, the decision still of the main person should be regarded.

It is not about making story good or make it realistic.

The problem is that people usually communicate with you after those interviews. It is great if people are wanting to ask for some advice or suggestions as someone that already went through with it but most them are harassments like stories being fake and being so over-dramatic for the purpose of entertainment. I shared my life so that they could be aware how hard was it and because it is possible to be avoided not because I should be harassed by the people telling me I am a fraud.
1652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: February 26, 2020, 09:16:00 AM
I think that is not risky since there are a lot of applications that you can use for that.
What applications are you using?

I am talking about VPNs, there are a lot of them, I don't to list all of them.

Also, there are a lot of ways you can do to take care of your personal files or informations in your PC when you connect to wifi. From enabling firewalls to turning off your sharing capabilities. You don't need to limit yourself from this since that would also limit your profits. I know that alot of us are just taking care of it but this really depends on us.
1653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: February 25, 2020, 11:48:47 AM
i've done it several times. but the problem is i have to connect internet from a general wifi of the office. that makes me feel uncomfortable. i don't know everybody in the office and it looked kinda risky for me.

Why would that be risky?

Unless your boss or your officemates are hacking through your PC or phone. To be honest, I am doing that at work but I am not always trading. I trade when it is my partner's shift but when it is my time, I just check the movement or the price changes that are happening. I think that is not risky since there are a lot of applications that you can use for that.
1654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie looking for some strategic advice on: February 25, 2020, 09:07:19 AM
With out having any practical experience we don't get any knowledge hear. On reading watching videos regarding Trading we con't learn anything. So do practice with demo account, it give good experience, it's helps a lot to take correct decisions at correct time.

What do you mean?

In terms of watching YouTube videos, you can learn a lot since a lot of investors from famous to not that popular share their ideas and experiences online. You can learn a lot from that but in terms of gaining experience, I guess that is what you're saying.
I remember before when I just starting do trading at first I dont know what exactly to do. And to learn the proper way of trading ang to get basic knowledge, I asked some opinion , have research, read some article about it. Then after I'll get enough knowledge I try to do what I learn from my knowledge and I succeed. I akwaus remember someone say to me the first thing I must do before I do trading is I need to know the current situation of the market then after I should be quick because the market movement is shift fastly.

That is so true.

We can't just engage in something that we don't know. As Benjamin Franklin says, "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail". We all know that we can gain knowledge from experience, but it is still good to prepare despite being a new one. That would give you a slight boost than others.
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the Black Americans on: February 25, 2020, 05:33:38 AM
Black people are being discriminated and we all know it is not just in banks and loans.

Financial freedom might be an answer but Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are not that reliable even in its run for years now. Scams and hacks are always there and we can't just recommend or suggest it to them since that might lead to another misunderstanding. A lot of white people do not want to use Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies too, I think we should not just focus on black people.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin on: February 23, 2020, 10:24:56 AM
I agree that you should really go with the story driven game but the problem is how would you stick people into it.

What are you actually planning? This is a hard project if you ask me since not all of the people would be interested in it especially in our country where the usual games are Mobile Legends and other online games. They stick into that kind of games and does not find other games that would entertain them. I suggest though a RPG game but that would be really hard to develop, you would be always busy with balancing stuffs and how would the story engage the use and information about Bitcoin.
1657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to choose correct coin for Day Trading on: February 23, 2020, 09:19:28 AM
The reason for this is changing over time, because it is unclear which one will be successful and which will fail. Every day some new coins or tokens are coming to the market and they are trying to capture the market but they are failing. In fact, there are some decisions that you have to make yourself and you will fail Because it's important that you know the details of everything.

We all know the reason of the fast-changing market, that is because of the volatility of cryptocurrencies.

That is why it is so hard to pick a good coin to trade since we don't know, well, no one knows what coin will be the pumping one or which one will give us the best profit that day. Another thing is that you should be aware of the changes every sinlge day which will be hectic if you have a lot of cryptocurrencies or your portfolio is so diversified.
1658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: February 23, 2020, 06:25:41 AM
Both decentralized and centralized exchange have their own advantages.
But I really like the decentralized platform since it doesn't need any personal informations to completely use their platform and it doesn't have any limits.

Yes, this is very important that i think always. In decentralized platform i need not personal information that maximum centralized platform use now a days. Many centralized exchanges that has limits of transaction for personal information and this is very problematic. Problem is there are less decentralized exchanges in market so that we can not exchange as like we do.

I think there are also a lot of them but the problem is that the common exchanges are still used.

With a lot users always visiting to trade, that will be the usual go-to of other traders as well. The one that already raised their name in the community. As decentralized exchanges is also popular, the volume there is not that much unlike popular and common exchanges.
1659  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: February 23, 2020, 05:50:45 AM
Countries with their own Cryptocurrency is going to be the next big trend in the industry because of the massive adoption and promotion ongoing right now, once two or three of these coins become a huge success, expect other countries to follow their leads, we will see many countries creating their own and that could give the top Cryptos a good competition in the market.
indeed it takes the first step of a country to make their own coins. moreover it is done by developed countries, they have extensive networks with other countries, so this will have an impact to transmit crypto to other countries to make their own coins. and in the end the coin can become a currency for exchange. although I think it still takes a long time

It will be added to exchanges but I don't think it will be that big thing.

Made by the government, they would be backed up by the fiat of their country. It is not something like cryptocurrencies that we know where it is sold on exchanges. It will be based on the fiats, the good thing here is just that they are using a digital currency that will popularize Bitcoin to be used in the future.
1660  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon to accept bitcoin payments directly... the real breakthrough!? on: February 23, 2020, 04:16:23 AM
To be honest, I've been hearing and reading about Amazon accepting Bitcoin but I have no updates about it and I just remembered it now.

There are a lot of platforms that accepted Bitcoin, I am not a gamer but I do know Steam accepted Bitcoin. Steam is a platform in games and one of the most popular of it. Still, it did not made any impact and they stopped accepting it in the long run. I think that would be the same with Amazon. The fact that we have no updates until now means they know the risks they will take if they do that.
