1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos and Tech Devices on: February 23, 2023, 05:51:15 PM
One of the rarest topics I have seen discussed on this gambling board is devices and online gambling. We know that in the past, the only platform through which gamblers could have access to online casinos was by using laptop or desktop devices. One reason for this was that online casinos used a technology called Flash, which at that time worked on computers only and not mobile devices.

However, things turned around with the introduction of a new online programming language, HTML5. When HTML5 was introduced in 2008, it was made with an eye toward both mobile and desktop computers. It was much simpler to get anything to operate on a variety of devices if it was coded in HTML5. This was fantastic for developers since it allowed them to create fewer websites for less money, but it also meant that a single website would function on any device that had an HTML5-compatible browser.

We are no longer restricted to playing on desktops and laptops, but can now enjoy playing our favorite casino games on our smartphones, iPads, and other mobile devices. Personally, I am still stuck in my old ways of using my laptop to visit an online casino to play. Which device do you find most convenient when accessing an online casino: a laptop or desktop, a smartphone, or an iPad? Secondly, which do you find more convenient: playing a casino game through their app or through their website?

I certainly remember those days, not too long ago yet they sort of feel like it now.  I personally prefer to use online casinos whether it's placing a sports bet or playing a casino game like blackjack, poker or roulette via my desktop.  However I love that when I'm out and about that I can just whip out my cell-phone and place bets or play a quick game of poker or whatever.  I tend to prefer websites over apps, but it all depends on how well built the app is.

Fucking Brits.  It's called football, we won a fucking war so we can call it that!

San Francisco Sixty-Niners...  I don't hate that.

I love sending my British friends I've met on the forum memes on the 4th of July, normally stuff about how their tea is shit and what not lol.  I love that, San Francisco Sixty-Niners...much better name if you ask me.

In regards to the XFL and some of the differences between how they play it and the NFL, I agree they are doing some pretty cool/fun things.  The XFL will actually be sort of a test market for the NFL in this way.

Looking forward to watching some of the games this wknd.

As a long time licensed financial advisor I can attest that you are correct, people in that "middle" area do complain a lot about their finances and not having enough money for this or that but as you perfectly stated, will come in to my office holding a Starbucks drink that just cost them eight dollars.  This is a very typical issue with Americans, as I'm sure it is with all people across the globe.

When it comes to me and my job, I have to at least try and teach them, but to be honest so few every take good sound advice and just continue on living in a poor economical fashion.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 22, 2023, 05:31:53 PM
I bet on Team Lebron yesterday around 3-4 pm not even realizing the rosters hadn't even been picked yet lol.  I dont know why my betting app even let me..kinda some bs..but I guess that's on me for being dumb.  I thought it was just the typical East vs West all star type format and I knew who was playing from both conferences.  Once the teams were picked I was happy that I had picked team Lebron, they in theory are the MUCH better team.  But hey, it doesn't always work out in favor lol
Injury issues.
Then, Dame and Tatum both shot like the three point range is too close for them. Dame especially who made a halfcourt shot like it was nothing for him.  Cheesy
Well, Team Lebron are actually the favorites before the game started, if only he had not injured his hand/finger then it could've changed the way they play ball. He plays competitively when that final quarters comes and I guess that's why Team Giannis are the underdogs.
Let's hope they can come with some new type of playing ball because this one is not working anymore even if they insert that it's for a charity.

Lebron wanted that MVP badly, you could tell by the way he came out guns a blazing from the very get go. Also that throw off the backboard dunk he made, holy shit that guy can still move for a 38 year old.  Being around the same age as him, makes me feel pretty bad about myself lol.

But yeah, that game was TERRIBLE and it's pretty universally thought as such.  They need to get rid of that scoring per quarter thing.  It makes no sense in my opinion.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 22, 2023, 05:22:29 PM
Is it good to accept bitcoin as payments? Sure, why not! I don’t own my own business but I offer bitcoin as a payment option to anyone anytime I sell things alone. Like yesterday I listed a few window AC unit for sale on Facebook marketplace and offered up bitcoin as a payment option and actually had a few people say they would be willing to pay in btc if they decide to buy it.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: February 22, 2023, 05:13:07 PM
I honestly hope that Biden Vs Trump never happens and I think there is a good chance that it doesn't.  Biden has of course lost the favor of many Americans who voted for him, as well as there's countless Americans who can't stand Trump.  Even the Republican party is starting to turn on Trump, so I'm not sure either of these two old farts will even be chosen or choose to run again, or hell even be alive by the time election day rolls around lol.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: show us your stadium visit ⚽🏈🏀🏉⚾🏏🏐🏎 on: February 22, 2023, 05:10:52 PM
i don't see any problems if someone takes stadium pictures with his username/profile, which then also shows us that the user was actually in the stadium.
the probability is rather low that at this moment of the photo shooting someone is standing at the side, who recognizes the forum or your profile and knows what it's all about

@MinoRaiola @ChiBitCTy nice photos of both of you. too bad you didn't see a home win for frankfurt.... but napoli is currently very strong and has a very good run. but just to hear the cl anthem in the stadium is already an experience (i know what I'm talking about).

I don't see any problem with it either, what so ever.  Some people on here choose to be known, some choose to be pseudo-anonymous, and some choose to be completely one hundred percent anonymous...either way, point is that it's up to each individual user.  If you believe showing a photo of your profile screen as well as whatever stadium you are at is doxing yourself and you don't want to do so...then don't, simple as that lol.
1649  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 22, 2023, 12:37:31 AM
The fact of the matter, and this is something that I have been arguing with people a lot lately, TRUE AI/Artificial Intelligence, does NOT actually exist, not yet anyhow.  ChatGPT and other programs of it's ilk are simply learning via machines we've built, with our own limitations.  Once a program becomes "self aware" and starts to "self learn", then we will have reach true Artificial Technology and bitcoin and everything else will be under a whole lot of potentially issues.
1650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 22, 2023, 12:35:02 AM
This is a pretty popular topic that's been proposed quite a few times over the years on this forum.  The truth of the matter is bitcoin can't be stopped, not fully anyhow.  If there is a "ban" on bitcoin, I suppose it all comes down to how bad this ban is first of all, next if it's say the US "banning bitcoin" then it's going to absolutely put a hurting on it's "bottom line".  If US regulators restrict the US of US citizens from operating on exchanges, that's going to sink it's value, but it'll come back under new leadership eventually.
1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: show us your stadium visit ⚽🏈🏀🏉⚾🏏🏐🏎 on: February 22, 2023, 12:17:00 AM
This is a great idea for a thread.  I've got some more recent stadium visits ill share, but in honor of the ending of the NFL season, here's a couple cool pictures from some of the more fun games I've been too.

The first one here is a Soldier Field in Chicago.  This was back in I want to say 2009 when Tom Brady and the Patriots were facing off against my Bears.  Brady lit it up in the epic snow game.  The picture doesn't do all the snow and how crazy it was justice.  Brady lit Gronk up this evening, and I believe Gronk had two TDs ( I also think it was his rookie season).  The other photo is of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium in Tampa from a couple years ago.

1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 22, 2023, 12:06:24 AM
So the Chicago Bulls signed Patrick Beverly..and my only question about this is pretty simple...WHY?  I really don't understand that current state of my beloved Chicago Bulls.  It just doesn't seem like anything that they're doing lately is making any sense.  I was all in on Arturus when they hired him to be President of baskeball operations, and god knows anything would be better than Gar/Pax...but I just don't see his vision what so ever right now.  Again Patrick Beverly, no freaking thanks.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Do Gamblers Do This? on: February 21, 2023, 11:43:39 PM
It's like the same thing as someone whos addicted to drugs.  If you haven't ever been fully addicted to anything, I suppose it would be hard to understand.  For those who are gambling addicts, it's like a drug, and they get addicted as well as they get a "high" of sorts.  For the vast majority of people, you have to hit "rock bottom" until you're actually able to change your life and move forward in a better manner.  So that's why, it's a high addiction that doesn't really hit you in the negative way it should until it completely hits you ( you go broke ).  Those who are lucky wake up and change their ways.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to surprise a friend on: February 21, 2023, 12:41:00 AM
You should consider getting them a funded wallet/cold storage item.  Either maybe like a pre-funded OPENDIME  ( https://opendime.com/ ) , or perhaps something even cooler like a bitcoin collectible.  Basically you can buy a fancy cold storage paper wallet.  Here's a lot with a cool collectible https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5440438.msg61792917#msg61792917 .  These chips are funded with .001BTC each.  Now it's not a lot of bitcoin, but they have a lot of value in collectability and your friend might find them pretty cool (especially if they are a collector or more specifically a coin collector).

There is a phone number on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/kryptokeepsafes

Looks like their twitter and instagram accounts have been deleted

These were shady from the get go.  There was like 20k thousand something followers that they had paid for after their account had been open for like 2 weeks.  If you've been on Instagram long enough it's very easy to tell when someone's bought followers (which are mostly just fake accounts).  This is a big red flag.  They did/do remind me very much of Cold Storage Coins, and I would not be shocked if that's just yet another outshoot LLC of theirs.  Maybe it's wrong of me to speculate out loud like this, but whatever...I'm normally not wrong about these things and they're not fulfilling orders now, apparently.

Has anyone else had this issue, if so, please share here or with me privately if you'd not like to do so publicly..

1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 21, 2023, 12:23:15 AM
I believe that AI can help you to predict outcomes but we should remember that in online gambling it is also run by algorithm, i think the accuracy of the AI is not that high in terms of this, and casinos might changing their algorithm now or using another strategy so the result will not be same 100% to  this predictions of the AI. We can also say that with the use of AI we can see some patterns but these patterns cannot be our assurance.

To be honest, I've never tried using Al, so I can't speculate much about how artificial intelligence technology can be used as a reference for predicting the outcome of a match. as we know, artificial intelligence technology can actually help us solve complex problems, including making our work easier.

However, I really doubt if AI can be applied to predict a sports match, let alone to be a reference for gamblers. because IMO, sports are more complex, cannot be predicted accurately, there are no exact calculations like an algorithm. in fact we can only guess, even after a series of analyses. maybe, if AI is used to find all the latest information related to sports. I'm sure it's very helpful.

I first off don't believe legitimate true AI really even exists, as there are truly no self learning programs yet (like you see in the movie Her or iRobot), that being said it can definetly help you make a decsion if you're stuck between which teams to pick, programs can run all sorts of numbers to try and help predict the outcome.  This is basically no different than Saber Metrics, which is highly used in Major League baseball, so much so it's in fact changed the game. Coaches and teams rely on this data to do all sorts of stuff these days. It doesn't guarantee anything, but it helps...the movie Money Ball explains how this started.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 21, 2023, 12:19:36 AM
The bookmaker I use (mybookie.ag) turned scammer halfway through the season apparently :/ there are tons of shitty reviews for them everywhere. They performed one cashout for me once, but it was so long ago, may have been 2021.

After I tried to do a withdrawal they said they didn't like my BTC address as I hadn't used it before. They locked me out of my account and gave me a non-working customer service number to call. I opened a support ticket and got a generic response telling me to call the same (invalid) number.

Sorry about the experience. It's definitely my first time hearing about the casino (would you mind sharing its link?)

There is nothing much members here can do to help recover your money especially if you deposited in crypto.

https://mybcasino.ag/

I was surprised by the title of this thread as MyBookie is a pretty bigtime operation; of course their URL is different:

https://mybookie.ag/

Turns out the casino is owned by MyBookie, at least according to this review.

They advertise on a few podcasts I listen to... they spend a lot of money on advertising, too bad the hosts don't know they have such an awful reputation.

Oh the irony... if only I had read my own comment before making a deposit there.  Roll Eyes

That sucks and honestly unless the book has provided constant cash outs for other people I don't know how they get business.  Too many stories of people getting locked out of their accounts under the premise of the "company" not trusting the deposit lol.  Wierd how they continually operate and nothing ends up happens to them.

Yeah this is why I don't leave too much money / bitcoin in my casino accounts, you just never know.  Duelbits the company we have a campaign for (wheelz, talking to you on this one) seem to be very legit, run ads at pro soccer stadiums over in Europe etc (I know I know, so did FTX smh) so companies like that seem to be a much safter bet and ones that should be used.  I use Bovada mainly (duelbits doesn't allow for US citizens) and they actually won't let you use the same btc address more than once to cash out, so just the opposite of "we don't recognize this address" which is total nonsense.

I watched a little XFL this weekend. Mostly highlights.  I saw Josh Gordan is playing for a team and had a nice TD.  I'll prob try and get in to it a little more.
