BCNext could be one of the member of the Satoshi. BUT i bet he is probably Sunny King experimenting on his modified POS system.
My guess 20% Satoshi 70% Sunny Kind 10% Other AltCoin Dev. He definitely has experience in cryptocurrency!
Sunny King lives in a different timezone than BCNext

fantastic ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I just did some calculations about important languages in crypto world - to know which languages are important for article translations. We know about a list of countries by IPs, but I had to put Autria+Germany+CH together etc, so here are top non-english languages: 727,357 Chinese
378,826 German (+ Belgium)
380,000 Russian
143,897 Spanish
125,431 Dutch (+ Belgium) 119,496 Poland 107,9 Portuguese 98,353 France (+ some people from Canada, Belgium) 82,333 Italy 70,168 Sweden 48,74 India

Uniqueorn doesn't understand that the committee Utopianfuture is talking about will have only one function:
- voting about accepting bounty requests
It means - this job needs responsibility, experience, intelligence... But not much time

Nextcoin users would probably oppose your idea. And they outnumber nxtcryoto users.
especially when one man has 70 nextcoin.org accounts

I would be very happy if you can devise a better way that actually works.
As suggested by Anon why not just set of 4 Nxt accounts and let people vote with their NXT (it is a PoS system after all)? Then whatever Anon136's opinion happens to be is how the vote goes. Not saying that he'd do that, but you see the circular logic here? there is a giveway cheater with 70 Nxt accounts there are faucet cheaters who registered tons of accounts and stole few NXTs from faucets

salsacz, very interesting data - good work. We should keep track of this datasheet. I was looking for statistics that show how distribution evolved over time! I know it decreased since IOU and that distribution is better than with btc... Does something like this exist? Something like by how much the share of founders (or the richest 0.5%) changes every week. you can add a new column to the googledoc (there is editabe copy now) and update it there

Well, I faced a moral dilemma and would like to ask for an advice...
FrictionlessCoin created a thread dedicated to NEX (descendant of NXT). I had a lot of fun reading that thread but I suspect some people took NEX seriously. The problem is that if FC waits till April when Nxt source code becomes completely open, he still won't be able to generate a valid genesis block, coz Nxt uses a crypto algo modified by BCNext (this is why we collected 10 BTC for the audit). I support all cryptocurrencies and would like to help him to create a new genesis block, competition is good for the whole crypto-community. But this could look not very good to guys who own NXTs...
What would u do?
Can't you let him make a clone on top of the nxt blockchain ? It would be moral. FC does only non-moral things..

HONG KONG CONFERENCE IN JUNE SHOULD BE HIGH PRIORITY....HONG KONG IS THE GATEWAY TO CHINA.
detailed date ? Hong Kong is Inside the Bitcoins series, if I remember well: I am not sure if I should post to both of our threads (this + marketing), but what the hell, new list of conferences: Conferences: Miami (January 25), London (21 January), Berlin (February 12/13), Texas (March 6), Amsterdam (March, May), New York (April 7/8), Canada (April 11/13), Washington (June 20/22), Hong Kong (June 24/25), Melbourne (July 10/11), London (September 10), Las Vegas (October 6/7) edit: all conferences, articles and videos are in the OP of marketing thread. There is also a new conf in: Shanghai (September)

Btw, I don't know what category my coin fits. It works on top of Nxt Arbitrary Messages and requires 1 NXT fee for any transaction. It's not a clone, more like Mastercoin on top of Bitcoin.
What additional function wil it provide that Nxt cannot? My friend would like to have a gaming currency (you can use the credits to buy cards in online trading card game now) hosted on the Nxt network without using any programmator skills. CfB already said, it could be easily done by "clonning" his new coin. It means - there could be many coins in Nxt blockchain and we could support them because they still pay by Nxt (will be 0.01 in future). Especially, if the currency would be somehow special.

If you want to get more users, and more media attention, when you have the amazing client of "nexern" , I would make the biggest GIVEAWAY ever on Bitcointalk. 1.000.000 NXT with the "unclaimed funds" of CfB
200 NXT each user, so they could use and see the amazing coin we have. We could get a lot of users, and we could take away all the FUD that we have.
thanks.
Its a good idea in general but it shouldnt be done through giveaway on the forum. It would be exploited by giveaway thread scammers. The way to do it would be a faucet giving away inordinately generous payouts and a lot of promotion to make sure that as many people as possible knew about it before hand. Captchas can not be gamed. It would be a really fair way to get a lot of nxt widely distributed among a lot of people. I wouldnt even be adversed to giving the whole 9 mill away like this. Do it in a couple of rounds so that word spreads from the first round so that you have even more participants in the second and third. This would generate a TON of buzz and a lot of involvement. Bounties are much better I think. It's better to pay for advertisement, exchanges and software, then give all to forum trolls. What I described would be a very effective way to market nxt. We should probably have a good solid cross platform 1 click client, a professionally written whitepaper, and a professional audit of the code before we think about marketing. After we have those things though, than this could potentially be the best way to market the coin. Bitcointalk trolls would write there only account from some exchange - bter/dgex/... they don't need a client now

Nxt isn't only a Bitcointalk.. btw there is a cheater on nextcoin.org with 70 Nxt accounts and 70 nextcoin.org accounts... for begging (see my blog). I am for some giveaway only for sharing our infographics and videos, but not sooner than in a few weeks

Cool
Thanks, here is a link to the application http://speedy.sh/2Anh.. for macs 10.6+. It should work for any type of file. I am sorry, but we usually do not download apps from new users here. Expert must look at your app first to proof you aren't a hacker.
