16461  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin in Bangladesh on: December 27, 2017, 07:44:30 AM
Bitcoin was banned in Bangladesh ages ago, and it remains as such even now. I would advice you not to take unnecessary risks. I am not sure about Bangladesh, but Nepal recently arrested a lot of Bitcoin traders for trading in banned assets. Why risk your career and life for a few coins? If you really want to trade BTC, then travel to India or Myanmar, and do the transactions there.
16462  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Are Faucets Useful Now? on: December 27, 2017, 07:41:54 AM
I really doubt whether any of the faucets are working now. You need around BTC0.002 as transaction fee to withdraw your earnings (I assume that there is a lot of dust associated with the faucet wallets) and you can reach that threshold only after regularly visiting the faucet website 200 or 300 times. And a lot many of the wallet sites turn out to be scams.
16463  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: you think Trezor is a safe way for bitcoin ! on: December 27, 2017, 07:39:12 AM
The recent incidents are quite worrying. I never thought that coins could be stolen from hardware wallets such as Trezor and Ledger. I was only concerned about losing the recovery sheet and backup. In case if Trezor is also vulnerable to theft, then what is the point in spending $200 on each device? We can rather store our coins in Blockchain.info.
16464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: December 27, 2017, 07:35:34 AM
It is a very tough decision to make, when more than 90% of all your savings is in the form of Bitcoins. Now if I have to make the decision, what should I do? Sell a part of the coins, which make up for 90% of my portfolio, or dip in to the small amount of equities and mutual funds which make up for less than 10%? There is a big psychological barrier to overcome.
16465  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should Europe repay Africa for Slavery on: December 27, 2017, 07:33:22 AM
anyone asking for reparations is just lazy and looking for an excuse for free money

You have a point there. Also, anyone asking for repatriations should be ready to move back to the country of origin of their forefathers, and they should pay the US government for all the facilities they have enjoyed (including education and healthcare). If there was no slave trade, then they would have remained as illiterate tribesmen in Nigeria or Congo.
16466  Other / Off-topic / Re: Meaning of terrorist on: December 27, 2017, 07:31:14 AM
Dissent is terrorism. Anyone who opposes current system will eventually realize that only real possibility is violent overthrow of that system.
And one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

Violence is never the perfect solution to any issue. I am not saying that it should not be used anywhere, but it should be the last resort. Before trying out violent methods, you should try the peaceful methods, such as democratic opposition to the government policies in the form of non-cooperation and strikes, as well as attracting international intervention.
16467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Communism Vs Capitalism Which Do You Think The Better Economy System'? on: December 27, 2017, 07:28:25 AM
Everyone would agree that communism is a failed ideology. Capitalism is not perfect, but in the modern society, it is more practical. The main negative with communism is that it fails to recognize that the skill level of different people can be different. If you give all of them equal salaries, then there is no incentive to learn new skills, or to improve your skills.
16468  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: December 27, 2017, 07:26:37 AM
Okay, you are an atheist, so what? It's your choice. What's your business in other people's religion? Everyone believes in a thing which makes them feel stronger and safe. If it is science for you - okay, what's the deal? Why so much hatred?

Other people's religion doesn't matter, as long as they are not bothering anyone. Take my case. Since I am a Hindu, my Christian friends have told me that I will go to hell. The only way to "save" my soul is to convert to Christianity. I told them that hell suits me better, since most of my friends are also Hindus.  Grin

I’m not religious, but people like the OP and yourself need to put things in perspective. Your Christian “friends” tell you that you’re going to hell for not believing in Christianity while Muslims periodically slaughter Hindus for not  practicing Islam. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_India

I never said that I like Muslims. They are a very violent bunch, at least in India. But among the Christians also we have a lot of similar types. Especially in the north-eastern India, we have Christian terror outfits such as the NDFB, NSCN, and the NLFT. They have slaughtered Hindus for decades, for their refusal to convert to Christianity at gunpoint.
16469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Germany getting near the end? on: December 27, 2017, 07:24:33 AM
Germany is not nearing it's end although it does have problems. The EU however i think is on course to disband perhaps in the next decade. I think more countries will secede then.

Now one is happy with the German dictatorship within the EU. Neither the western European nations (especially Italy, Netherlands.etc), not the eastern members (Poland, Slovakia, Romania.etc) are happy with the current state of affairs. The EU will not survive secession by another large member. It can be Italy, France, Netherlands, or Belgium.
16470  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women empowerment? on: December 27, 2017, 07:21:42 AM
Copy/paste

Yeah. Here:

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/miscellaneous/women-empowerment/articleshow/56019792.cms

BTW, what is the point in "empowering" women. I am a female myself and I can't understand this concept. Does that mean that we don't have any power right now? What I want is equality and respect. And in my opinion, more than 99% of the males respect the women and treat them with dignity. IMO, there is no need for any "empowerment".
16471  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the causes of climate change? on: December 27, 2017, 06:03:43 AM
The causes of climate change is that the humans are increasingly influencing the climate and the earth's temperature by burning fossil fuels, cutting down rainforests and farming livestock.

Burning of fossil fuels and deforestation remains as the most important causes. I am glad that the fossil fuel consumption is going down. But unfortunately, the decline is not sharp enough to save the planet. There hasn't been much progress with the electricity-driven vehicles during the past 2-3 decades. The Lithium/Cobalt batteries remains very expensive and we need to invent new technology to replace it.
16472  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Main Cause of accidents/road safety on: December 27, 2017, 06:00:30 AM
hardheaded pepole driving without helmet texting calling while driving ang most driving with the spirit of alcohol

Driving without a helmet causes a lot of accidental deaths where I live. And the most tragic part is that the overwhelming majority of such casualties are composed of people in their teens and early 20s. The guys simply refuse to wear the helmets, despite so many awareness campaigns. They say that they would like to show off their skills and the helmet is an obstacle in doing that.
16473  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe all of the religious people are bad ? on: December 27, 2017, 05:57:44 AM
Not all are bad, some are still ok, why i said this is because any religion does not teach anybody to be bad, its just people that want to be bad by themselves.

I have to disagree with what you have posted. Certain religions preach that anyone not believing in that faith will go to hell after his death. And even worse, there are certain other religions, which will offer 72 virgins to anyone who murders infidels. So it is wrong to say that the religions does not teach anything bad. There are a lot of examples to prove otherwise.
16474  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about Sofia the Robot on: December 27, 2017, 05:55:04 AM
I am not much bothered about the robot. But what is the point in granting citizenship to a robot, when people who have spend 30 or 40 years in Saudi Arabia are still refused the Saudi citizenship, just because they are not Muslims? Granting citizenship to a robot will not make the Saudis progressive. It just shows how hypocritical they are.
16475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump just killed Rule 1031 all BTC trades now taxable on: December 27, 2017, 04:14:38 AM
This is a very stupid decision which can never be implemented. Those who are having altcoins will be the most affected. For most altcoins, there is no alt vs fiat trading option available. So in order to cash out, they first need to convert their coins to BTC and then to fiat. And here, they will be hit with double-taxation. I am curious to know how this can be implemented.
16476  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe all of the religious people are bad ? on: December 27, 2017, 03:54:08 AM
Most serial killers/rapists etc are religious.  They believe they can do whatever they want, then simply pray for forgiveness.  :/

I thought that "forgiveness" is unique to the Catholics. As far as I know, the evangelicals and the protestants don't give much importance to it (at least in the United States). Anyway, there is a lot of propaganda going on with this subject. Once I watched a movie called Dead Man Walking, which dealt with the Loretta Ann Bourque / David LeBlanc murders. The director tried his best to put forward his cause. But I found it repelling.
16477  Other / Off-topic / Re: Racism on: December 27, 2017, 03:50:10 AM
Come meet Brazil. The paradise of racial mixing.
I'm Brazilian Brown.

thanks,

Brazil is the same country where the native population is treated like subhumans even today. The government recently opened Indian reservations to mining activity and is happy with isolated indigenous ethnic groups getting massacred by the garimpeiros (gold miners). It may be the capital of race mixing, but it is also the land of deforestation and genocide.
16478  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: December 27, 2017, 03:47:13 AM
Capital punishment is a last resort, I believe that everyone deserves a chance and that is what prison is for. However, if a murderer, for example repeats their crime then they clearly have no remorse and society has no place for them, in that case, they should face the death penalty.

Everyone deserves a second chance (including the criminals), but only if they are giving their victims a second chance. If a criminal is engaging in murder or rape, then he is destroying the life of the victim permanently. In such cases, he does not deserve a second chance, simply because there is no second chance available for the victims of his crime.
16479  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Population on: December 27, 2017, 03:42:19 AM
Population nowadays is going bigger and bigger it is because people don't know how to be in family planning .

Lack of awareness is definitely one of the problems. But there is an even more pressing issue. That is the lack of cooperation from the religious clerics. In my place, there have been many instances in which the clerics (both Muslim and Christian) took campaigns against family planning methods. They say that children are a gift from god and every woman must have at least 12 children.
16480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Working Abroad is a lot of sacrifice. on: December 27, 2017, 03:37:23 AM
Working abroad is fun and cool. If you're own country behaves like a shithole I guess.
And if you miss your family - try to raise and earn enough to draw them all to the new place.

Who would disagree?

I agree with your post. But many of the countries (especially the GCC nations such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) doesn't permit the expat workers to bring their families. Once their contracts expire, they are expected to go back to their own nations. And it is not fun and cool always. In the GCC, you may be asked to work for up to 12 hours a day.
