When do you guys think Bittrex will open BCC deposits?
Probably when more miners support the network and not run by just the one or two so possibly never may just end up being delisted Yup this. This thread posted in altcoins tells you its just an altcoin withe only 12 blocks. It will be a long time before you can deposit https://cash.coin.dance/blocksSince there is supposed to be 144 blocks per 24 hours and its currently 123 blocks behind there are only 21 blocks left and thats a whole day behind and its not even a day old

When do you guys think Bittrex will open BCC deposits?
Probably when more miners support the network and not run by just the one or two so possibly never may just end up being delisted more miners will join with this price So what you are saying is that its a race to get miners on board before the users that bought give up and the value becomes worthless.

Corrected for you

The latest Bitcoin Cash block appeared more than six hours ago. Assuming honest timestamping, we can expect block #478576 to trigger REQ-7, resulting in a 20% difficulty reduction. Bitcoin Cash could really be dead by then, exchanges are likely going to delist it if more miners pull out, causing further transactions delays. A delisting would mean cerain death as there'd be no incentive to mine therefore pushing BCash in a vicious cycle. So do you mean Bch has no future? It will fall soon? Well so far is the slowest coin going lol hours to just get a single confirmation I know it will change as difficulty adjusts but still not off to the best start just 2 miners working by the looks of it and almost a full day (122/144) behind the BTC chain

I just lost my unique BCH. I used Electrum, after the fork i sended my BTC to Bittrex, i download the Electrom Cash, used my private keys and saw my BCH, everything is ok, until after a little time Electrom Cash send my BCH to the same BTC Bittrex address. So is a lost right? did Electron Cash send your coins without interaction with you Anyway you should contact Bittrex support, maybe they'll be able to help. Maybe try using a different wallet or use a different server by default electron cash showed my balance as 0 because it had unconfirmed transaction because it could see by BTC transfer after the fork ? Using a different server by balance showed up and was able to send to a new offline wallet where the new finds will stay until I am able to deposit them to an exchange

... The point is you deposit 10 BCH for 1 BTC then withdraw the 1 BTC then the rogue miner makes the chain invalid and the exchange looses both the 1BTC you withdrew plus the 10BCH you deposited that has just been made invalid by a rogue miner or ~$3000
The exchange loses nothing + gain exchange fees. It's the buyer and other BCH holders who would lose money if that happened. It would depend on if the exchange made good for allowing withdrawal of "bad" BCH and refunded due to the backlash from all the angry users now out of pocket

seems miners keep their hashing on "the old" BTC, think we can survive for 10 more years with segwit . BTC withdrawal/deposits are open now, does anyone know when the BCC deps/wds will be open?
With the low highly centralised hashing power the exchanges will be taking extra precautions some big miner could come and wipe out the current chain very easily making all existing transactions invalid That is the whole point of this new project TO BE CONTROLLED BY CHINESE players At the end WTF do exchanges care as long as they get their part (commission). WTF most folks here care as long they get free money actively helping to destroy BTC? This is a big theatre played and the only goal is to make money nothing more and nothing less. The point is you deposit 10 BCH for 1 BTC then withdraw the 1 BTC then the rogue miner makes the chain invalid and the exchange looses both the 1BTC you withdrew plus the 10BCH you deposited that has just been made invalid by a rogue miner or ~$3000 The last 5 blocks have been found by a miner that no one knows anything about

An updated and cleaner version of the Bitcoin Cash branch. If REQ-7 Trigger hits 720 minutes then difficulty will drop 20% making mining more profitable and giving us faster confirmations. Height | | Time (UTC) | | Size | | Coinbase Text | | REQ-7 Trigger | 478559 | | Aug 1 18:12:41 | | 1916 kB | | /ViaBTC/Welcome to the world, Shuya Yang!/ | | 121 mins | 478560 | | Aug 1 18:33:06 | | 44 kB | | /ViaBTC/Hello World!/ | | 111 mins | 478561 | | Aug 1 18:37:19 | | 21 kB | | /Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong/ | | 97 mins | 478562 | | Aug 1 18:52:58 | | 90 kB | | Pool 1 Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong | | 95 mins | 478563 | | Aug 1 19:37:44 | | 408 kB | | Pool 1 Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong | | 60 mins | 478564 | | Aug 1 21:05:15 | | 463 kB | | Pool 1 Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong | | 335 mins | 478565 | | Aug 1 21:35:44 | | 108 kB | | /ViaBTC/Hello World!/ | | 325 mins | 478566 | | Aug 1 21:39:21 | | 10 kB | | /Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong/ | | 328 mins | 478567 | | Aug 1 23:38:29 | | 421 kB | | /Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong/ | | 343 mins | 478568 | | Aug 2 01:07:01 | | 377 kB | | Pool 1 Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong | | 386 mins | 478569 | | Aug 2 02:51:49 | | 376 kB | | /Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong/ | | 469 mins | 478570 | | Aug 2 03:15:01 | | 86 kB | | /Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong/ | | 203 mins |
So who is this "Genesis Block 269-273 Hennessy Road Wan Chai Hong Kong" that seems to be creating 75% of blocks and with owning that ratio of the network hashrate I would not trust it

presumably we can create a paper wallet with bitaddress.org?
i'm gonna dump some and keep the rest.
Yes a bit address wallet works great for storing them
|
|
|
so is there a time limit to claim?
Im guessing safest way from btc core wallet.
Create a new wallet - move all btc there. Then get private keys from old holding wallet and input them in bch/bcc wallet.
I will wait a few days before doing this of course.
What can go wrong? i mean if all your btc are locked down in a new wallet how can it be risky to send your old private keys from your old holding wallet to bcc/bch?
You are not really claiming anything the chain was copied so you can use your key anytime now or 10 years time

First Block has been found

|
|
I have no easy way to dump this... oh the horror.
I know these fast transactions are unbelievable I would give it a few days
|
|
|
So far 21 Blocks behind so im suspecting <5% hashing power

No you are not correct they are BRAINLESS idiots I have reserved my front seat for party 10+ posts ago. Honestly speaking i am ENJOYING IT VERY MUCH so far. I am expecting posting of said stories to begin any moment For those who do still did not put into risk their BTC PERFORM NO ACTION AND FORGET THAT THIS SHIT EVER HAPPEND
Otherwise i am all years to hear your said stories The way its going right now it may as well have not happened

i have my coins on coinomi which is open source and a very old and trusted wallet. they added bitcoin cash as an update and i see my balance there......coinomi should be good right?
I would still transfer your BTC to a new wallet first
|
|

I agree. BCC will be a very huge scam. I wonders how many BTC private keys the hackers will stole.
They can do what they want with my private key I could even post it here publicly (im not) because I will have already transferred all my BTC to a new wallet before I even consider importing it to any BCC compatible wallet and draining its funds after that the wallet will be dead to me
|
|
|
This will be interesting.
Be cautioned... I wouldn't keep BTC in any address that matches a privkey you import to this fork. You should send your BTC to a fresh address IMMEDIATELY after the split is proven... and never use that new privkey in the new coin.
Not saying for a fact there will be trouble... but due diligence demands protecting and separating these two.
Curious to see how the next two weeks goes... how much hashrate will BTC lose?
*popcorn time*
Agreed I already have a new wallet ready to transfer all my btc to before I even consider doing anything with this coin.

Interestingly, but the difficulty will remain the same as for the main Bitcoin network? Then the blocks will be in half a day.
There will be a huge difficulty adjustment but all the hashing power will probably be pretty much centralised
