I don't like relaying on the pure luck in my bets or awards. So here are my counter proposals. 1. We make a bet on 100$, winner is the one who finishes above morvillz7z. if we both finish above him noting happens and bet is voided and we make fun of morvillz7z. However if we both finish below him, we both pay 100$ to my or your Sportsbet account, we each choose a pair and morvillz7z chooses one as well. We place that 200$ on a ticket with joint pairs and divide winnings in 3 equal parts if we win, if we lose though luck for us and a reminder that we should do better in future  2. Instead of prize for triple captain, let's make it for highest points in any round. That should be one of double game weeks where somebody made superb use of either triple captain or bench boost. It is a little less dependent on luck and a bit more on good planning. |

I have no choice than to root for Talon E-sports to eliminate Team Liquid now, such a glimmer of hope to hold on to  Hope for long maps then. Talon are late game specialists and if they get to 50+ minutes their chances rapidly raise against any opponent If somebody is looking for a bet, my play is over 2.5 maps in this one. My Dota prediction is almost dead now that BetBoom lost against Gaimin Gladiators. I need the other teams to step up and stop them before they get to the finals.  The other WC question at least gave me the point that I needed to secure the draw, and it all comes down to Gaimin Gladiators if i'll be getting a win or draw for this round. My Dota prediction has gone down the hill as well too, my only way out now is if Team Spirit can help me drop liquid to lower bracket and then Gamin Gladiators get to exact their revenge on Team Liquid, asides that it's definitely going to be a draw for me this week again, after being in a good position to get 3 points. If that's the case the club owners might need to path ways with the current team manager, and probably hire Jeremypwr or Buwaytress as its new head coach by buying them out of their current contracts. I was hoping to get my win before we come to the sports I know nothing about but no such luck. It will all depend on boxing/MMA. I have some faith in my answers since a lot of people went with same but still the feeling is not good. I need a draw from those 2 questions, either we both get a point or nobody gets a point would be perfect. Back on the topic here, when is the deadline for the entry fee ?, because I'm not paying much attention to other league resumptions and all, except for EPL and it's literally due to Fantasy Premier League, I'm more of a tennis addict now, who could have imagined right ? usually my summer are always E-sport betting oriented, it's been completely different this year around, thanks to the CRO2 team  Deadline is as usual, just before the league starts. For Serie A that should be Sunday August 20 if my first google hit is correct. Usually Serie A starts a week later than PL or La Liga. Also, how are things going with the signups? I've counted about 9 or 10 paid entries, which isn't terrible considering we have 3 weeks until season starts, plenty of time to fill it up.
As I said in La Liga thread I am still on holiday and my sign up tracking isn't up to my usual standards When I get home I will actually go trough all transactions in escrow wallet and have the best possible picture. For now I have been taking some names in notepad but there is possibility I missed someone. Since you counted 9 people I guess somebody is missing. Well this is a bit incorrect, you are guaranteed to get atleast 1 point from this. If either Liquid or Team Spirit lose on their next game, they will be going to the lower bracket so there is still chances for the team to get to the grand final through lower bracket . Well kinda unexpected to actually know someone will pick Team Spirit though Man I hate this upper and lower bracket system in DOTA. It's hard (maybe even impossible) to predict who will face who in the quarter or semi final games. It's much easier in football where you have two sides of a draw and no team can change sides and meet before the final. Maybe I'm just not used to this system and that's the reason why it's so hard for me to predict. I usually just rely on luck with DOTA questions... That upper and lower bracket system is the best "knockout" system I have ever seen. If you ask me I would like to see it implemented in all sports. It gives best teams after the group stage one extra life to survive in tournament. Just remember how many times it happened to Croatia to be best in the group or best in two groups and then to drop out in first game where there is no allowance to slip up in sports like water polo and Handball. While teams that slipped up before passed on. This way that group perfection gets awarded with upper bracket and one slip up is never enough to get you eliminated. This system rewards quality a bit more than chance and that is why GG is such a good pick in DOTA, they finish the tournaments strong even though they look mediocre in early stages. |

Lower number of players actually means lower competition, but I like it when it's crowded in here. I marketed it a bit in our BSFL thread, will do so again before the season begins. I'm sure we'll get last year's numbers and am always happy when we pay the entrance fees in bear markets My perfect number for pools is around 20 people. Big enough to have proper rivalry and conversations while small enough to make it a bit easier to finish in the top positions. That being said, I believe we should have last year numbers again. Old players are mostly staying while we always get some new blood.
Watching those friendly games in USA and Arsenal is looking dangerous, Chelsea also looking much better than last season. We all know City is gonna be good now we just have to see what happens with Liverpool and United. Could be a cracking season. |
