1661  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: June 30, 2017, 06:09:30 PM
It's not an auction, I just have some to sell off.
1662  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 29, 2017, 10:46:11 PM
Another nifty thing is following directions, because leaving things out and expecting a correct result doesn't make much sense.
1663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Electrical diagram needed on: June 29, 2017, 06:16:35 PM
You're probably going to want 2-pole (240V) breakers. Twice the equipment for the same run of wire, PSUs will be a bit more efficient and it'll draw a more balanced load from your service transformer.

The specifics of a wiring diagram are going to depend a lot on what PSUs you use, and your breaker box, and a lot of other factors. An actual good electrician shouldn't need the customer to give him a wiring diagram, especially if the customer doesn't know how to do that himself.

Just let the guy know what loads you'll be drawing in what location, what kind of outlets you'll need for plugging things in, and let him take it from there.
1664  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FOR SALE - SIDEHACK STICK] GekkoScience 2PAC - 2x BM1384 USB Stick Miner on: June 29, 2017, 04:16:19 AM
I've also got some "factory seconds" 2Pacs I'll sell, profits from which will go to the same thing as the aforementioned auction (https://www.gofundme.com/lauras-eating-disorder-recovery). These 2Pacs were ones which failed final testing because, at stock voltage settings, they either were not fully stable or ran too many HW errors. They'd still work at a higher voltage, but since they were too far out of spec I wouldn't ship them for regular orders.

So let me know if you're interested.

I'm gonna assume that means you up your bid to 0.1BTC

Which means, correct me if I'm wrong, but here's the standings:

NotFuzzyWarm - 0.1BTC
xhomerx10 - 0.1BTC
nuanicaj - 0.1BTC
jekecoin - 0.1BTC

If that's not correct, mwin58747 takes the fourth spot with 0.06BTC

Just an update -

I am currently at about 102% capacity with more stuff inbound and won't have more space for the forseeable future (at least the next couple months).

Even if I had space, I don't host GPU rigs. Don't bother asking.

I don't understand what you said.

Apparently everyone wants the benefits but nobody wants to do the work. Y'all are starting to look like Americans.

You were missing a library when compiling, I think libncurses. That's come up at least once already in this thread.
1670  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: June 27, 2017, 08:18:24 PM
Okay but you're not allowed to turn around and sell it on eBay for an extreme markup and then not support it when the buyer has issues.
1671  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: June 27, 2017, 05:32:14 PM
I'll probably put up some discounted 2Pacs too. Fully functional but either not stable, or too many HW errors, at stock voltage for me to be comfortable sending them out proper.
1672  Economy / Auctions / Re: Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: June 27, 2017, 05:00:27 PM
The question is irrelevant. Read the rules.

Auction for four prototype Terminus pod miners.
1675  Economy / Auctions / Four Gekkoscience 60W/110GH prototype pod miners, for a good cause on: June 27, 2017, 12:03:04 AM
Oh, hey guys. So a couple of things going on here.

One, I've been working on a pod miner for a while. Final-version prototype PCBs are on order, but I've got some of a previous version functional. Four, to be specific. These guys are packing eight BM1384 miners and operate off the same driver as the 2Pac 2-chip stickminer. The voltage is fixed but they're tested to 250MHz (110GH) and should be able to do that handily off a 12V 5A brick (not included, I don't really have any extras).

Aside from a very few mediocre models sent out to resellers and VH who wrote the driver, these would be the first fully functional GekkoScience Terminus pod miners in the wild.

So, here's the scoop. I've got a friend, a girl I've known and respected for eleven years and a piece, currently in treatment for an eating disorder. Her dad set up a GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/lauras-eating-disorder-recovery and all the proceeds from the auction of these miners will go to that end. Anyone just feeling altruistic can donate directly, I guess.

I will cover shipping for any winning bidders within the US. Outside the US, we'll work something out.

Here's how this will work - there are four miners, so the top four bids will get one miner each. I'll let it run a full seven days, so bidding ends 7PM US Central time on Monday, July 3rd.

Bidding starts at 0.03BTC

If that's like the one that came with S7-LN miners, I had two or three with crap fans out of a dozen or so.
1677  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 22, 2017, 02:54:51 PM
Go get VH's build in the 2Pac support thread. It's a better driver and is backward-compatible with the Compac.

Also, did you see the README file for help?

1679  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: June 21, 2017, 04:36:24 PM
Increase the voltage, unplug, replug.

That's pretty much always Step 1 for troubleshooting.
1680  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: June 20, 2017, 11:53:37 PM
You gotta consider a 2Pac at 150MHz is going to be pulling about 1.4 amps. That's not insignificant.
