'tis the one I'm using :/ I think my desktop is using hidden cores. Showing 3, still I have 8 cores working on the other, it should do better, I'd think?? Maybe I need to set priority... will try that...
|
|
|
Can anyone help me? My 8 cores are not doing very well. Only 280 kh/s My duel core is doing at least 126 kh/s *unless the miner is unlocking hidden cores?*
How can I get them to hash better, should I have chosen Linux?

Well, during the 95 difficulty, almost everybody else bailed waiting for block 15200. I decided for the benefit of all to do what I can to push to 15200. I lost over $500 in lost revenues, but I figured we cant just be stranded for a week! Plus when we finally got there I would be able to recoup at least some of the lost revenues with more DRK.
I could have simply pointed my servers elsewhere during this drought, but I am a team player and I want to help DRK succeed. I only discovered it two days ago, but already I feel this community has great potential. With the exception of the whale and the Ddos'er.
If you feel that I have been wronged, please donate to: Xj4KK1vzBebvGrg8c5h4rr5C8kzXDojruK I doubt I will ever recoup the $500, but if any large holders of DRK want to make a block sale at a friendly price, PM me
1000 DRK sent. Thanks for all your hard work. I hope others donate to you as well. 1000 ?? wow!!! (i've got only 400). And yes thanks a lot to James the dolfin. And me I leave my 600Kh to arrive at block 15200 faster... Don't know if it help alot... 1 or 2 for me?? : XjzBJqGjvc8TmiQh5Lfr1nvtTxX1YcCSRc Sorry, all I can do I sent, but don't know if I'll ever make up for the tips I've sent out the last few days, LOL. Hubby getting mad at me, LOL

hi, I am really glad the coin got such a great new dev! I just saw there is a new windows miner xcoin-miner - but it has like 25/50 detection rate in virustotal - thats preety dark I still have the old miner drk1.2b and it only has 7/50 so what happened? I am using the old miner for now, but should the new one be much faster? Seems to be complete different than previous. I also do not find the page where the new miner got released and discussed, so please someone tell me there is no trojan or whatever. cheers, PS. and congrats to getting gravity well to work so fast!! We changed our name, then discovered that there was already a coin with the same name. Our developer talked to that developer and they merged. I'm not sure if your old wallet will work with ours though All antiviruses hate these wallets, just make sure you download the one from the front page here. Right Now! First thing you should do is join a pool and download the miner, and get mining, work out the wallet and everything else later! If you can mine, now is the time!uhm, my old wallet is Darkcoin v0.8.6.2-g542ecf3-beta and I am mining atm, but still got my old wallet adress on cpu-pool.net. Are my old coins gone? I will try to update wallet now, have not opened it since a week or so I honestly don't know if your old coins will be worth anything, don't use anything from your old wallet, just save the information! You don't have to bother with a new wallet right way, don't overwrite your old wallet, and hopefully you're mining in a pool??

That explains why it went so fast, LOL, I thought it would take until tomorrow! I sent you a thank you

Hey guys. I've been away. What's going on? Do I need to update my windows wallet? Will anything happen to my coins? Please let me know whats up. Thank you!
As I understand it, we are about to reach block 15200 which is where it has been forked. So I am guessing this needs to be done before you either buy or mine any new coins? Please don't take that answer as gospel, I'm quite a noob. No worries if you're in a pool, but yes, to trade, you need an updated miner and to solo mine. I ended up late to the game, anyway LOL, but just got set up.

>You only have to move files when going from the xcoin wallet to the darkcoin wallet Yes, my current wallet is Xcoin-wallet (v.8.6.2). What do you mean with "purple file above"? Btw, I suppose wallet doesn't sync because of Usergate. [/quote] I'm sorry, I'm getting tired, LOL, but if you look at my post above, I wrote the windows path (vista or 7) for the wallet data. Just put the stuff in the xcoin folder into the darkcoin folder and you'll be good to go

OK, panic over, some familiar little clockies with confirmations................phew.
Tante, before I forget, with azure, the clock is always ticking unless you completely delete the machines you've put all that effort into configuring. I kicked myself once and decided to shut them all down last night due to the whale, then I kicked myself even harder just now when I realised that they have to be completely deleted in order to stop the clock.
oh bother.... LOL thanks for letting me know Done, I have 186 dollars credit still... eh, not too terrible

Thanks for new wallet, but I don't understand what's all about. I've used v.6.2 before and does it mean that I missed all the coins that I got earlier?
Upgrading to the new wallet wont cause you to lose coins. That being said you should ALWAYS make a backup copy to keep somewhere else. I have heard of people formatting their hard drive or computer crashing and losing all their coins because they didnt backup the wallet.dat file, which can NEVER be recovered. Thank you. I'll check it when wallet would be synchronized. Now, unfortunately, there are no connections. I'm worried about it because I've already mined some coin when developers have done changes with it, so I missed that upgrade and got nothing of mining. P.S. would you give me some nodes, please? I already added this ones: addnode 23.23.186.131 add addnode 50.16.206.102 add addnode 50.19.116.123 add addnode 98.165.130.67 add If you had an old wallet, there is no need to re-sync. Just put the old wallet's info in the purple file above into the new one. In fact, if you're just upgrading another DarkCoin wallet, after making a backup just in case, you just start the new .exe file and it uses the old wallet's info. You only have to move files when going from the xcoin wallet to the darkcoin wallet

To make a backup of your wallet, go to Files>Backup Wallet, then save as something like DarkcoinWallet.dat It is basically a copy of the Wallet.dat that you have in your C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\DarkCoin file It's all you need to reconstruct your wallet on any machine. If you keep that .dat file safe and encrypt your wallet with a pass phrase (Settings>Encrypt Wallet) That you NEVER forget, your wallet will be very safe Keep your Wallet.dat file on at least two jump drives

I'm going to bed here soon, and I'm wondering if I should start my azure miners up now, or if those last 75 or so blocks will take all night to get through? Opinions are appreciated

Any worry about buying on an exchange without an updated wallet?
Best to leave it on exchange until you get new wallet. Just do transfers you want before 15200 I just transferred all the coins from the old Mac wallet (Xcoin) to new one Darkcoin. Could only have one open at a time, but not a problem, just have to copy new address, exit new wallet, run old wallet and send to new address. Wait a bit, exit old wallet and now you can just use new wallet James P.S. Probably much easier way to do this by fiddling with wallet.dat, but that always makes me nervous I will mess it up and lose coins. All you have to do is copy your .xcoin file contents to your .darkcoin wallet (copy and paste, so you keep a backup) and reopen your darkcoin wallet, let it catch up downloading and you are done! Make sure you back everything up too! In windows it's under user/appdata/xcoin. Or user/appdata/roaming/xcoin etc...

This is a mandatory update on block 15200! I've been working tonight on a solution to our "Whale", and have fully implemented Kimoto Gravity Well into Darkcoin. It looks ready to go, all I need is for everyone to update their wallets and daemons - If you're running on linux, please download the new version from github: https://github.com/evan82/darkcoin- If you're running on anything else you'll have to wait for the compiled versions to come out - If you run a pool please update your daemon - If you run a exchange please update your daemon Let me know if you have any questions. There is no need to worry if you are in a pool. the pool will take care of this. However, to buy and sell, well mostly sell, you will need an updated wallet, and we all need to update our wallets eventually to receive, but no big hurry there. Solo miners need to update, of course.Hey Eduffield, could you respond to my earlier question about the anonymity? "About the anonymity, can't you just piece together who sent what by looking at the amounts? I mean, there probably won't be many people sending the exact same amount. So if I'm the only one in a block who sent 10.875 DRK, is it really anonymous?"
That has not been implemented yet, there is still testing to do before he does implement it . So as of right now, the coin is like any other, however the work he is doing WILL obfuscate the incoming transactions from the outgoing transactions. OMG, I'm busting a gut, because I'm mining cpu and gpu on my computer while I write this, the lag caused me to fudge my post, causing the date of Brilliantrocket's post quote to go back 44 years, LOL

Open source will immediately kill the coin in my opinion. How long would it take for all the other coins to implement this tech? A day? Especially if its a plugin. I wish there was a way to keep the source closed but have it verified by well known and trusted people in the crypto community. These people could vouch for the codes legitimacy.
Yah, like Max Keiser

Pool admin should kick him out and make him spread the hashes to multiple pools.
Pool admin is getting a percentage, can't blame him if he's happy he got lucky...
