1661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC rising to 0.01btc ? on: August 25, 2016, 04:39:12 PM
Lol. It is dying. There will be more small pumps but nothing very signifiant and nothing that can hold the price. ETC attempts to be currency / payment system, so it wants a slice of that cake. Problem is, that cake is shared between bitcoin and 100 more bitcoin clones. And ETC isnt even on same level as litecoin, dash, monero, and other currencies, mainly because in it's curent state it doesn't work, it has to hard fork to eliminate the time bomb in it's code, plus it doesn't have other cryptocurrencies features like more stealthy and so on.

ETC has the most buying volume in Poloniex of all coins usually, except now during the XMR pump which is already correcting, so a coin with top buying volume and a very smooth downtrend looks like a good buy to try to profit from a good pump.
1662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gets roasted and ETC gets support in Max Keiser's show on: August 25, 2016, 04:34:49 PM
Unfortunately, I fear that most people do not care at all of which one is the best and only care about which one will give them the most money Sad.

Even if you only care about money, ETC seems still a better way to profit from a pump. It should find a bottom soon... of course, who knows where the bottom is, good luck to guess that right.
1663  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: August 25, 2016, 04:14:40 PM
Right now its an excellent time, we are coming from a dip, the dip has already started to face and we will keep seeing an uptrend now until the next bitfinex incident, so since one just happened, it is statistically impossible that it happens again, which means buy trend.
1664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Business Ideas? on: August 25, 2016, 04:10:26 PM
There are no clear successful ways to put your BTC to work. Most business idea require a big factor of luck and going famous, virality is everything nowadays on the internet. Traffic is money, this is why signature campaigns are a big thing and move tons of money, because having your brand visible and with constant traffic of people clicking and going into your site is the fundamental pillar to start making money.
1665  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: August 25, 2016, 03:41:20 PM
I plan on buying and holding and wait for it to go to over 100k... there isn't any other way. I can't think of any business that would give me money, so im stuck with working a shitty job and living with my parents so I can have some extra income to buy more BTC at the end of the month. If I wanted to live alone, I couldn't be able to have extra money to buy BTC since it all would go to basic expenses.
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is at serious risk of becoming the MySpace of cryptocurrency" - Gavin on: August 25, 2016, 03:17:47 PM
Gavin Andresen hasn't done shit for years now except complaining and crying about stuff, meanwhile Core devs have been working hard to get stuff like segwit working, you know, the real clever stuff beyond crying for a blocksize increase. Also let's remember that this idiot wanted 8mb increase which is insane and would have ruined Bitcoin. Some people never learn.
1667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mimblewimble Paper Proposes ‘Near Complete’ Bitcoin Anonymity on: August 25, 2016, 03:06:14 PM
Once this is ready, what will be the point of XMR? And don't get me wrong I love that coin, but let's get realistic, Bitcoin is king and as long as Bitcoin be used anonymously, markets will keep using it, and we will have segwit soon, after segwit we will have sidechains, and with sidechains, the implementation of MW could render useless all of those niche "anonymous coins", as a result, Bitcoin marketcap will go up, and will strenghten his position as the de-facto crypto even more.
1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish a PromisingCoin from a ShitCoin or ScamCoin? on: August 24, 2016, 03:13:22 PM
It's too hard to know if something is being pumped for no reason or there's something behind it. "Good" alts usually offer something new to the table. MAID offers a very interesting project with 10+ years of development, XMR offers the rings thing for increased anonymity, ETH/ETC smart contracts... those are all top10 coins, yet, all of them have huge problems too, which make them risky investments, but you could at least predict that they are not going to 0, like most total shitcoins do.
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity hype Philosophy & Warning of the ongoing Monero pump on: August 24, 2016, 03:08:46 PM
I agree, strong anonimity is probably better kept as a sidechain in Bitcoin. XMR has too many problems to properly scale, so I wonder how do they intend to ever manage the amount of volume Bitcoin moves now, let alone in the future.
1670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Didn't Monero have massive problems in terms of blockchain size? on: August 24, 2016, 02:53:37 PM
Monero has an infinite supply, it's an inflationary coin... I wouldn't expect the price to reach massive amounts like BTC. If I had XMR I would sell some right now. Common sense says that such a pump cannot be sustained for much longer. Good luck, im staying out.

gold is also inflationary... infinite supply... its price is higher than bitcoin atm... sure, this pump may not last, but is it really a pump when it happens because something actually gains utility? It's not a pump because of some stupid marketing shenanigans...

monero doesn't even have a GUI yet, has a shitty website and no marketing team... still the price is $4.6... make your own conclusions

Ehhh are you really comparing gold with any cryptocurrency? If you can compare gold to any crypto, that's Bitcoin.

In any case, what makes crypto great is the deflationary and certainty of the total supply. And my conclusions is that this coin is pumped as fuck. I dont know what will happen to those "anonymous coins" once Bitcoin releases all the improvements in privacy that are coming next year.

off course I can compare to gold, gold has an inflation-rate of about 2% yearly... gold has been money and been inflationary for about 5000 years, your point being...?

Bitcoin can't even decide on it's blocksize, good luck on all the other changes that you're waiting for... maybe they will come, but until now they're just vaporware... but still, good luck

edit: btw comparing bitcoin to gold ain't right, bitcoin isn't even fungible...

best regards

Dude do you have bricks for brains? Segwit is comming with 0.13.1. We are at 0.13.0 already, Segwit code is added in testnet, we will have it in the next version. Remember when people said Segwit was "vaporware"??

Next year we will start to see the first sidechains and CT. Bitcoin is king of crypto, deal with it.

And stop comparing gold with any crypto, that is stupid. Gold has legendary network effect. It is in every human's brain to link gold with wealth. You can't compare it with any crypto, only to BTC because BTC is THE crypto.
1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC = Most obvious way to double your money right now on: August 24, 2016, 02:43:18 PM
ETC right now is one of the most obvious accumulation phases of all time in cryptoland. This is the classic "calm after the storm" pattern where whales play with people's mind and keep the coin on the low slowly creeping down, to then later on pump it again and challenge the ATH.

So if you buy 5 BTC now, you are doubling your money when we hit 0.006 again, and you end up with 10 BTC.

I don't see a better way to double your money now. All other coins have shit volume or are already overpumped (XMR for example).
You are a known ETC criminal coin shillster. ETC criminal coin is dead. And you know it.

Lol you are the same guy always shitposting about ETC and pumping ETH. Meanwhile ETH is being made fun off as the scam it is on TV:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1071&v=bpmctYSF1-w

Get real, absolutely no one outside the ETH bagholder/Foundation cult is supporting ETH.

Is there any reason ETC should pump again other than bagholders wanting it to pump? All the devs are supporting ETH... ETC looks like something that will slowly die out

XMR on the other hand... yeah it just had a pump... but in crypto land a 100-200% rise is nothing. If this coin is going to become more popular and gain valid use in the darknet markets then there should be more pumps to follow. I don't know if a correction will happen right now or if it'll have another leg or two up before the correction..

The reason is obvious. ETH will eventually fuck up again with a DAO type of disaster, and they will need to hard fork again. They also need to go PoS, which creates uncertainty. This will make ETC pump.
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE RISE AND RISE OF MONERO on: August 24, 2016, 02:38:51 PM
Theymos says it right. The idea is great, we all should have fungible coins and privacy, but the problem is the scaling of Monero is a mess, and Bitcoin can eventually become as private as money, rendering Monero pretty irrelevant at that point. We'll see how it goes, I wish I didn't sell my XMR last month, the price was stagnant and I lost hope.
1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETH gets roasted and ETC gets support in Max Keiser's show on: August 24, 2016, 02:24:26 PM

Looks like they also understand the scam that ETH is, and how ETC is the honest, true original Ethereum. It's going to be fun once the inevitable price rise begins and ETH camp starts panicking again trying to crush the uptrend.
1674  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: August 24, 2016, 02:21:17 PM
I want to reach 21 BTC goal as fast as possible so I can start taking stupid risks in the altcoin market. Once I have 21 BTC, I will not care to lose more than that, since I will hold 21 BTC long term, so if have 22, I will have 1 entire BTC to play with in the altcoin market, and sooner or later I will make a lot of BTC in a trade.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to make an altcoin to get a high volume and price? on: August 23, 2016, 04:17:25 PM
A classic way is to make a coin around a famous celebrity/known brand. For example. Coinyecoin got headlines in the news. It was a total cluster fuck since it was a trademark fight for the name. First it was Kainyecoin then Coinyecoin or something. Trumpcoin now exists and gets a decent amount of traffic. There's people doing this all the time trying to pump their coins.

You already made a ton of money man. I would be scared to hold any longer. All altcoins are is just pumps and dumps, everyone just wants more BTC at the end of the day, so its not only when you buy, but when you sell it. If you hold too long you may become delusional with the potential gains and become a bagholder.

Right now I would sell XMR or at least a good part of it, unless I bought at the bottom and could afford risking it.
1679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: August 23, 2016, 03:46:09 PM
Also, I have certain concerns about Pokemon Go - Niantic tech connection. Niantic has certain roots within security agencies/google/and so on. There is a certain paranoia about Pokemon Go being a massive spy program so people can map the insides of people's houses through their smartphone cameras and GPS (required to play the game).
1680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: August 23, 2016, 03:35:26 PM
The initial hysteria is definitely over. The first day, the big youtubers uploaded Pokemon Go everyday. Now only a few are still actively uploading Pokemon Go shit, but it will continue being relevant for a long while as they add new content. I hope we can eventually see Bitcoin implemented within the game.
