1661  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX Drama and Global Empact on: December 13, 2022, 06:27:04 PM
You are absolutely right, such big scams will continue wounding the market but FTX and LUNA wounds will not heal so soon, they will continue bleeding unless governments come up with strict regulations to stop such incidents before they happen. Investors have lost confidence in centralized exchange and  it can't be restored unless  people responsible for such huge scams are trialed and sent to jail.
The market factor will improve if Do Kwon and SBF have been arrested and jailed, news is that SBF has been arrested but I don't know how Do Kwon is currently without arrest attempts because he is very active on his twitter account to create statuses and respond to comments, I wonder why the police didn't catch it right away. FTX and Luna are the culprits behind the breakdown of the crypto market so it will take time to restore it because investor confidence in exchanges has decreased and actually from the start they only kept assets in personal wallets rather than exchanges.

Do Kwon is hiding in my country, Serbia... to the latest news. From Dubai (where are his offices) to Serbia, direct flight. News reporters tried to verify this by asking government officials, but until now they didn't get any answers. In a corrupt country like mine, he can hide for some time, but if some "higher forces" intervene (like the US) he will be extracted! Of course, if he stays here...

SBF is arrested and maybe this FTX story will get some closure. I know many got hurt by this, but far away that we all suffered... I didn't use FTX! I guess this is just another reminder (and we have a few in the past as well, big ones and many little ones), don't trust third-party service with all your money!
1662  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptosino Avoid!!! on: December 13, 2022, 05:04:13 PM
this is a big accusation against them. like Mahirap has said, any evidence or sources to back up this claim, especially the one regarding the investigation that will be opened by the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force? it's my first time hearing about them so I don't know much about them but I did a quick search and can seem to find anything regarding the issue you are accusing them of.

Not a word that I found about it but there is one review about kryptosino.com found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262141.msg60516355#msg60516355

But it's not even a scam accusation. Not a word about them at all besides that. No Ann thread too. The review doesn't sound like it's bad. But how can this be big like it would affect sister casinos?

Lots of casinos to which bitcointalk members were exposed to them but not investigated by Caribbean Financial Action Task Force.

It's BTCGosu review, I informed @Efialtis about this... BTCGosu has a "Blacklisted Bitcoin Casinos" page: https://www.btcgosu.com/bitcoin-casino-blacklist/. but this casino is not on that list.

As I get it he is complaining that this casino is not enforcing KYC... I guess he is in the wrong place, most of us don't like KYC.
1663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turned gambler after investing in BTC or investor turned gambler? on: December 13, 2022, 08:46:23 AM
...
Which one has a high possibility of happening, a gamer eventually becomes a gambler or an investor turns into a gambler?
But first, answer the poll which are you. Are you a gambler that become an investor or an investor that turned into a gambler?

I was and remain a gambler. Even when I invest (in some alts I like) I consider that as some form of gambling... gambling is a philosophy!

Whether someone will like trading or gambling depends on many factors. People generally like to try and experiment with new things, it's important what we encounter first, whether there is someone close to us who will introduce us to and guide us through the world of investing or gambling. There are various and incredible examples, I guess each of us learns about things along the way... so I don't think there are any rules about this matter.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 12, 2022, 10:53:43 AM
It seems to me that the Argentina vs Croatia match is not as easy as it seems... Remember how well Brazil played but could not win against Croatia... In the American qualifiers, Argentina was in second place behind Brazil... We can assume that if Croatia didn't lose to Brazil, they might not lose to Argentina either... I wouldn't be surprised if they meet France again in the final...

Both teams showed that they deserve to reach the semi-finals. It seems to me that Croatia plays much safer and more calmly, they have an excellent defense, and maybe they need to create more chances in attack, but we saw after Brazil that they certainly know how to wake up and attack when the moment comes.
I think both teams can score a goal (I already bet on it) and it will certainly be interesting if a goal is scored in the first half, I believe it will open up the game and the boys from both teams will do their best to win, it's a match for the final.

I'm not sure why OP excluded Croatia from the pool as they lost already... After Brazil, I think they have enough confidence for this game, and they have a pretty nice chance to win.

actually to go up to 100x it's a bit impossible except for Shiba coins (if you can still hype meme coins)
but for 10x the price of eth maybe when bullish comes later.

for your question i will choose bitcoin and ethereum.
Even though there are no choices, I still prefer btc and second eth

Well, Shiba can grow in the future, and there are some chances for that... but what happened to Doge is pretty much Elon's game, and something similar can happen to Shiba, but how likely?

Top coins will always be the most interesting for investing and long-term holding. OP list looks nice, some of the established and popular projects with big potential, and I have some of them. But this list should contain some new and fresh projects as well.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever tried Anti Martingale Strategy? on: December 11, 2022, 09:47:51 AM
For how many rounds have you used the strategy? Did you make a decent win of it?
I haven't yet tried it. I'm confused if it works or not & whether it is less risky or not; hence, I'm here, mate.

As with all other strategies, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. You can try it in some casinos with expert settings, like Wolf, choose some cheap coin, and just let it run on auto and you will see for yourself if it's good or not. The thing with Martingale and Anti-Martingale is that you need to start with some very low bet to be able to double after every loss, but in the end, you win the base bet.
1667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: December 10, 2022, 08:49:22 PM
Decentralized Exchange (DEX) is the future. For now, a lot of people still don't appreciate these decentralized exchanges and they have some reasons for it.
Like why they intend to stay using centralized up until now.
I'm not telling centralized exchanges are really bad, but there are just pros and cons to both centralized/decentralized exchanges. Depends from your goal if decide which one to use.
There is no future for decentralized exchanges. In a few years, most of the cryptocurrency market will be regulated by the SEC and similar regulators. Recently, in a closed group, there was a conversation with a representative of a major exchange from the top 20.
Regulators send them recommendations, but do not force them to comply with these requirements. The requirements of the SEC apply to most countries, and if a crypto exchange refuses to comply with these requirements, then it will be banned in many countries. The same applies to large decentralized exchanges. They will all cooperate with regulators.Of course, there will be ways of decentralized exchange in new projects, but they will be greatly inferior in terms of liquidity and opportunities.

I can't agree with this... there will always be decentralized exchanges. And I also think it's the future, the bottom line is that with DEX exchanges a user can keep some level of anonymity and privacy and at the same time have the highest possible protection of his funds, people just need to recognize that. CEX exchanges are holding more than 90% of the crypto market, but with time people will learn more about crypto and decentralization and that will go in favor of DEX.
DEX exchanges are fighting for "Volume", and I think it would be better for all of us to see them winning. I guess we are talking about decades here, but DEX is a lot more honest approach than CEX, where a handful of people can bully others if they feel like it (latest FTX downfall).
1668  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: December 10, 2022, 07:43:14 PM
even if the regulars of that time are no longer so active here, there will certainly be enough interested people and new users who would like to sit at one of the tables with other players.

That's what Yahoo is trying to say... after the initial enthusiasm and free rolls (with many players) we drop to 8-9 players. It's like a fact after so many series... Smiley

...
Loved it back in the days on SwC... would be on board aswell. Would love to see @efialtis on the tables aswell. :-D Loved it to crack his aces on the good ol' river! Grin
If there really is something like that planned, please tag me so I definitely don't miss it.

Maybe we would see @Globb0, @Betwrong or @SteamTyme back at the tables aswell?! (I hope I haven't forgotten a reg back then...  Roll Eyes)

If we are talking about money and sponsorship, Betnomi was more generous, but still, we didn't have enough players.

As it's said before, that passion in the first series will be hard to happen again! But like you, I welcome any try and I will try to give my best to organize my time and play.

Maybe I am a bit pessimistic, but there's a reason for that.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Bonus Buy or Not Using Bonus Buy? on: December 10, 2022, 06:09:11 PM
Don't think about profitability when you are about to play some slots... normal spins or buying bonuses it's almost the same! If you get lucky you will win something, and if you are really lucky it means you hit some jackpot or max payout on some slot, but that doesn't happen to everyone... of course, if you are unlucky you will lose, doesn't matter did you play normal spins or if you were buying bonuses.

As I said many times, from my experience, after playing normal spins (over 1000 spins on different slots) without hitting even one bonus round I think to myself that it would have been better if I had bought the bonus rounds. When I am buying bonus rounds and lose I think the opposite. But it's when we lose...
By playing "normal spins" you can hit over x100 (my highest is over x200, with ordinary spin) payouts from a single spin, and with some luck, you can hit a bonus round in the first 10-20 spins (but that doesn't happen so often). But the reality is that we often run into some long streak of dead spins, without hitting the bonus even after a hundred spins (mine is over 500 spins without a bonus round, on the Pragmatic slot with the selected option "double chance for bonus")... I lost the entire balance and I didn't have money for more spins).
Buying bonuses is definitely an interesting thing to do... but those "dead spins" can & often happen in bonus rounds as well! After a few bought bonus rounds with under x5 payouts will melt your balance pretty quickly.

Bottom line is, slots are for fun and entertainment. If you play because you think you will make some profits easily you are terribly wrong. People should play slots with money they can lose easily because with slots it's easy to lose big money.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 09, 2022, 07:43:02 PM
Absolutely! I still don't belive that we have won against the country with more registered football players than Croatia has people living in it! Really an amazing win! Now give us Argentina or Netherlands to play with them Grin

Congratz! I had a feeling that something like this could happen. I bet on goals, I was convinced that we would see goals on both sides...

Well, for now, it seems that you will face Argentina...  I guess the psychological advantage is on your side, but I will not dare to bet on the winner, I will probably try some bets on goals again.
1671  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: December 09, 2022, 05:22:30 PM
icopress and me (with the help and support of Betnomi) will definitely set up something similar next year.
but i do not want to reveal more for now ... all-in Cool Grin
Good luck getting it organized and getting players to join consistently. Seems like everyone is interested until the time comes to enter, then everyone disappears. 8-9 regulars and that's it.

Well, if they set up the "Bitcointalk Series" I guess even 8-9 would be an achievement! Most of the regulars are not so active anymore, so it's a question of who will play... sad truth!

I was thinking about some poker series open to all Betnomi poker players, the New Year series... or some special New Year GTD tournaments. I see many promotions for other games, but there's nothing related to poker... or I am missing news about that.
1672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SAM THE FOUNDER OF FTX on: December 09, 2022, 09:37:34 AM
Everyone can think what they want, but if you analyze the situation, then think about how Sem managed to build such a large exchange and who gave him the resources?
CZ gave it to him at the request of the SEC regulators when Binance was in trouble. It is difficult to prove and this is my opinion, but this situation is not accidental.

CZ is a player, and he is involved in all this from the beginning.
I already posted something about that:

Quote
Members of UK Parliament have asked Binance to explain the circumstances surrounding Zhao’s November 6 tweet, and whether the company understood the potential impact it might have.
Source: He has been blamed for sparking FTX’s collapse. Now CZ wants to save crypto

And SBF is crazy! He basically put almost everything in his FTT token, making his projects vulnerable. Of course, the question is how much did CZ contribute to the downfall of FTX itself, I'm sure he had information about what was going on, that tweet that he is selling his holdings in the FTT token... and later his "changing mind" about whether to take over FTX or not seems like playing cat and mouse when I think about it now.

Well, it's crypto in the end! Online wild west!

With some nice New Year poker tournament, or series even better? That would be awesome, we don't see poker promotions so often...

I haven't played poker in a long time, a really long time. I see some nice tournaments in the lobby, anyone playing maybe? I miss playing poker, I just registered for some Mini Afterparty satellite... $1.1 buy-in, just 9 players.

https://decrypt.co/116506/why-isnt-sam-bankman-fried-behind-bars-yet
"Why Isn’t Sam Bankman-Fried Behind Bars?
Spoiler alert: it hasn’t yet been determined whether he did anything criminal.
Gorman said that despite the fact that SBF is being investigated by “everyone you think of in Washington, D.C.,” none has made a determination as to whether criminal charges need to be brought forward. And if criminal charges are brought forward, it will be some time before anyone is behind bars. "

SBF and now have a great rest in the Bahamas.

Quote
In a discussion with Andrew Ross Sorkin of The New York Times, Sam Bankman-Fried blamed “huge management failures” and sloppy accounting for the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange.

Source: Transcript of Sam Bankman-Fried’s Interview at the DealBook Summit

Quote
SORKIN: Were you truthful with us today?

BANKMAN-FRIED: I was as truthful as I am knowledgeable to be. There are some things I wish I knew more about. But, yes, I was.

Interesting reading, I am not sure if he is just young and stupid... maybe he got carried away with billions in his pocket and all the fun at this young age. Or if he is trying to manipulate... I guess we will find out very soon, this FTX story will not end anytime soon.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: December 08, 2022, 06:51:04 AM
Which one is the best for the next bull run?

I would say BFG and Stars. With staking these two we have passive income in BTC, ETH, and BNB. We receive some other coins as well, but I guess the best coins to hold for the next bull run are top coins, so you can simply exchange these ones for some top ones (USDT and TRX)!

what are your assessment to HUNNY tokens?
they have 65% APR here are the list of pools https://hunny.finance/#/pools
found out they have multiple projects like hunnyplay.com and hunnypoker.com

Their site is pretty much the same as Betfury, and I think I saw they have a mandatory KYC... Is that true? Did you try them?
1676  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: December 07, 2022, 10:17:58 PM
so lets share your belives on strategies.
For long-term investors?
Well, just collect more Bitcoin, Bitcoin, and Bitcoin in the trusted platform. Even the platform collapsed like FTX, you can still be bale to move the Bitcoin to Binance and other trusted top exchanges.
...

I believe you wanted to say "trusted wallet", not your keys not your coins! Platforms can collapse, so never hold big amounts there, FTX is not the first big exchange that went down the drain.

The winning strategy is investing in Bitcoin and holding it, the longer the better! I think some other coins are also great for long-term holding, we can underestimate the success of Ethereum, BNB, and some other great coins. We all know that these top coins (and some others for sure) have huge potential, so investing and holding them can pay out a lot one day, especially if we invest in them in these bearish periods.
1677  Economy / Gambling / Re: The launch of LuckyRoo Casino on: December 07, 2022, 07:54:05 PM
...
I think they doing some amazing here, they are building up a huge network of players, investors and will have a fully working ecosystem when they launch their casino in 2023.

How do you build a network of players without working casino? I guess building a network of investors is something else, but I doubt that all investors plan to gamble.

Are you a big fan of Lucky Roo? do you think they doing the right thing? Lets discuss below.

How to be a fan of something we can't even try, the casino isn't working yet... except that they have their own token and some airdrops for holders I don't see anything else on their site, except maybe big words and a lot of promises. I am not sure they are doing the right thing, gathering funds trough selling tokens and they promise there will be a working casino in the future? I guess we saw some similar "investment opportunities" in the past, and most of them turned out to be scams.

1678  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: December 07, 2022, 04:04:58 PM
....
Seen your other topic you made on this board, this to me is clearly an error on the path of BC.games, things like this are bound to happen from time to time.
Data from all over the internet concerning this match clearly shows that you won the bet, but I think you are too in a hurry to tag BC.games as scammers when they have not officially said you didn't win, this, like I said before, might be a glitch and good thing is that you've brought the case to the community, I believe this move will help accelerate their response to your ticket and possibly have this resolved for the sake of their reputation here..

Shoot first, ask questions later! I think there wasn't a need for such harsh words, accusations, and threats! Surely there's a better way to draw attention to the irregularity and possible error of the casino, and BC already responded in another thread, they will fix it probably, they just need more time. Patience is a virtue, or it should be...

I am sure you contacted support Ptolemy, what did they say? I am curious, support sucks almost everywhere, underpaid people without basic knowledge about gambling, and what the word "support" means. In my experience, it's better to send mail and contact admins directly, support agents can be really annoying.
1679  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎁Welcome Pack on BetFury| 💸300 Free Spins + 150% Deposit Bonus on: December 07, 2022, 10:51:22 AM

Precisely, I was wondering the same thing, it scares me, are all casinos like that? because I live in a residence where I share my internet with some neighbors, we do that here to help us share expenses, but I have told them about bitcoin, and I have told them that I really like casinos, more duelbits, my question is the following :

If my neighbors get into Betfury, and they play by chance, if I enter to play, is that worthy behavior to be or have a ban? even though it can be shown that each one entered from their personal computer or from a phone that did not have internet data and took the same IP address?

That's a grey zone in my eyes but can probably be seen as breaking the terms. It will be best to go into livechat and ask it, they are best placed to answer this question.

More than one account per IP address is breaking the ToS! It can be a grey zone in situations like this one, but a dedicated VPN will solve this, with some additional expenses of course. If you catch some nice holiday discounts (I saw there are some nice ones ) you can get one pretty cheap and be safe with everything you do in the crypto space cause I guess this is not just a problem with crypto casinos, many other crypto services have the same rule.
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you pass stakes proof of income verfiication? on: December 06, 2022, 05:11:13 PM
I am not a high roller so I guess I won't be included in this one.
But I am kind of curious about those who will need to fill this up. Will there really be a problem since there must be a source of where the money is coming from?
About the deposit from the other gambling site. This is something else, I think it can be explained as to why you are transferring it to them.
One good reason that I could think of is the lack of availability of the games you like on the old platform that you are using.
Showing proof of it might help. I mean, who doesn't like new customers?

Well, I am not a high roller as well, so I think I would pass this "income verification" easily. By the way, this is the first time I see this type of verification needed in any crypto casino, but I guess by some "regulations" casinos can ask some players about the source of funds.

New casinos like new customers, but if they need to follow some rules it's not up to them whether will they accept all deposits without additional verifications. I wonder what can trigger this particular verification, and what needs to happen that will make a Stake team act and ask someone to provide proof o income...
