Bellingham and Matheus Nunes seem to be the current midfielder targets for Liverpool.

However they might not get lucky about Bellingham as he is more of a Real Madrid fan at the moment. His father seems to be thinking the opposite and he might try to convince him for Liverpool also. But I doubt he will be successful on that duty. Especially while Liverpool are in a situation like this I understand Bellingham's decision more. But maybe his decision would have still been the same even if Liverpool were very impressive now. Maybe Real Madrid is the dream club for him.

Of course I don't see anything guaranteed here. I want to point out that the gap is getting bigger with Arsenal as long as Manchester City continue to lose points. Because Arsenal don't stop anywhere. They just defeat their opponents no matter what team they play against. Maybe they will do the same thing to Manchester United up next also. So Guardiola had better make his players be more consistent. Otherwise their championship chance is going to slip through their fingers.

There is still no news about Liverpool's intention to buy a solid midfielder. We are already halfway through the transfer window and there is still no serious move by Liverpool side. I guess that they have postponed their intention to make such signing to this summer. They are already in a terrible condition in the English Premier League at the moment. It is going to be quite difficult for them to save themselves from this situation. Even if they make it still it will be too difficult for them to finish the season in top four.

Hopefully next season we will see Liverpool pulling themselves together with the right transfer moves. Nunez is still a disappointment for example in my opinion.

Napoli have already played against one of the strongest teams in Europe in the group stage. It was Liverpool you know. I know that Liverpool weren't having a good time then and they still aren't. However their Champions League performance was way different than the EPL one. They played very strongly except the first group match against Napoli. It was a disaster for them as Napoli destroyed them completely. But in Anfield they changed roles and Liverpool got a deserved win.

We might see them facing Manchester City also this season in the Champions League. I think they would put up a great fight as long as they play like this.

Manchester City will definitely be under pressure in their Tottenham match. The gap has already become eight points with the leader Arsenal. In fact Manchester City have the best squad in the league that can deal with such bad time periods. Guardiola needs to find a way to motivate his players for the league championship again. They need to regain their mental strength at the beginning of the season. I know that their main goal is to win the Champions League title as they still haven't. But they can't just throw their PL championship chance this easy.

Besides I remember a much worse time of Manchester City in the past and their incredible comeback for the title as well.

Nothing changes for Sevilla even when they have only La Liga matches and a more comfortable schedule as a result. Because their form hasn't been due to the tightness of their schedule of course. They have been continually getting horrible results since the beginning of the season. The Getafe win was like a hope for them but we didn't see a winning streak continuing. They were still weak at defending as we saw it in their match against Girona also.

The manager change hasn't helped either and we have understood that the main problem isn't the manager. I really don't know what Sampaoli needs to do to motivate his players to increase their effort. We are getting closer to the end every week and they are still in the relegation area. Sevilla have become like La Liga's Everton now.

Juventus have a really bad record in home matches against Atalanta in the recent years. They got three draws and one loss since the last time they defeated Atalanta in Turin. Last week was really absurd for both teams. Atalanta are going to be way more motivated than their opponent undoubtedly. Juventus will need to work harder to make up for that terrible loss against Napoli. Their defensive weakness is a big question mark now. They can be in a big trouble while Atalanta are having a very productive period.

Juventus are favoured for the win of course but I would rather add both teams to score to my parlay and move on. 

Arsenal are favoured by 1.95 and it is 3.75 for Manchester United in their matchup in six days.

I would like to remind you of their latest rendezvous in the Premier League firstly. Manchester United had a really solid game against them and managed to defeat them by even a satisfying 3-1 score. Arsenal were going on great back then also therefore this loss was shocking for them. Manchester United were even worse than their current look but Erik ten Hag still knew what to do in Old Trafford in such big matches. This is another big match but this time it is in Emirates. Arsenal have a solid history in home matches against them. Plus they got a very solid win against Tottenham last week. I believe in them to win here also.

I don't know why Simeone didn't start with Morata in the centre-forward position. We watched Correa playing there for a long time and Morata entered the match quite late. I know that Correa scored their goal but still he could have played on the right wing too. I think Morata deserves chances in the starting eleven. Because his scoring performance so far hasn't been that much bad. He seems motivated to score for his team. Even his beginning to the season was really surprising to me as I was thinking him as an overrated striker.

Anyway the match is still going on 1-1. This is normally a match Atletico Madrid should win easier than this. But this season is just terrible for them unfortunately.

There is no need for Barcelona to sell Depay and bring some other player instead. They will need to fill his place in that case that's for sure otherwise Lewandowski won't have a natural centre-forward alternative in the team.

But like I said Barcelona aren't in need of taking such action. Depay isn't a bad player. Before Lewandowski came to the team Depay was already performing quite decently. He was making a good contribution with many goals. Maybe he isn't as productive as Lewandowski but he is still a great backup player for him. I think Barcelona should even extend Depay's contract instead of releasing him on free by the summer. This isn't one of the periods Barcelona can spend a lot of money comfortably. They need to drop the need of signing players to minimum from now on for the sake of their finance.

It is going to be Atletico Madrid's first match without Felix in two days against Almeria. Atletico Madrid have Griezmann, Morata and Carrasco left in the attacking line now. Carrasco is injured and out until late January. Because of that there will be no striker substitute for Morata - Griezmann duo. Maybe Lemar could be Simeone's choice beside one of these players in case of changes. He has had some experience with playing as a forward player also. But Atletico Madrid might not continue like this anyway. Maybe they would make a move for a striker in this transfer window for a short time period at least.

I respect all of the opinions about Manchester City. However I would rather become more realistic about their matchup against Leipzig. This is an easy peasy round for Manchester City. If we were in the group stage then I would have given some chance for Leipzig to defeat them especially in Germany. Because Leipzig did it already against Real Madrid in a home match in that stage. But now we are in a more serious stage and there is no room for big mistakes. All the teams will be fully concentrated on advancing as much as possible.

Manchester City should be able to take advantage of their amazing squad and finish off Leipzig without having very much difficulty. Maybe we might see a more competitive match in Germany but I expect nothing more.

I don't see any other candidate than Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title now. It is better to be realistic because Bayern Munich are in a very good shape again. Of course there has been a long break and we don't have much idea about how the league teams will return from this. But I think Bayern Munich will be the team staying the most consistent. They have improved their potential of scoring a lot in the recent times despite not signing a top striker to fill Lewandowski's place in the best manner.

The Bundesliga is easy for them even though they haven't made such signing. It is only risky for the Champions League because Choupo-Moting might not be very beneficial in each one of their matches there from now on.

Felix is going to stay as Chelsea player until only the end of the season. Therefore this isn't a big deal for Atletico Madrid considering the long term. But for the rest of the season they had better fill his place in the team. The season is already going on like a nightmare for them. They can't afford some level of drop in their squad quality also. Maybe Felix could have played much better for Atletico Madrid but he was still one of the decent players. He was a regular in the starting lineup also.

Atletico Madrid seem to have long-term plans for him as they want to extend his contract to even 2027. This might mean that we won't see Simeone as of next season. Because these two haven't been getting along with each other well.

It was unexpected for me to see Joao Felix in the starting eleven right away. This is a risky choice for Chelsea in the end because he has just arrived at the team. It would have been better maybe if Potter preferred him in the lineup by the second half or so. But who knows maybe Felix will even score in this match already and surprise us. For now I can say that Koulibaly has just scored the equalizer finally.    After all that big effort to score they really deserved this truthfully.

By the way it must be felt interesting for Chelsea to concede that goal from their old player Willian. Anyway now there is a 1-1 tie in the match and this score can help Chelsea fight for the win harder. They need the win so bad here otherwise they are going to be further away from upper positions in the standings. Top 4 is already like a dream for them but they can still try their best.

The Champions League is nothing like the Bundesliga or the Europa League. Frankfurt had better be ready for a much bigger and more difficult matchup against Napoli. Matches aren't played on paper of course. I'm aware of how big threat Frankfurt are to Napoli also. But I would like to remind you of another fact that Frankfurt had a really big difficulty in qualifying for last 16 round. They managed to do this after the results of last group matches. They lost five points against Tottenham and lost to Sporting also.

Napoli are going to be even a more challenging team to defeat for Frankfurt. Especially if Napoli keep a good form in the Serie A until the first leg then Frankfurt had better focus on their defending especially. Because Napoli can easily be unstoppable in offense while they are in-form.

Wolves are after Atletico Madrid centre-back Felipe now and he has six months left on his contract now.

After this news Atletico Madrid are speculated to be interested in Leicester centre-back Caglar Soyuncu who is only 26 years old. It would be nice for Atletico Madrid side to fill Felipe's place with a much younger defender. Because he has got really old and the team didn't have any long-term plans with him from now on. The only question mark here is whether Caglar Soyuncu will be able to start playing strongly again. Because he hasn't been playing properly for a long time. He has played in only 3 matches in total in the whole season. Otherwise he is normally an impressive centre-back.
