16641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning to Litecoin investors on: July 06, 2013, 08:58:11 AM
Litecoin price has kept up better than bitcoin, however, I think chances are high that it will drop a lot more than bitcoin once bitcoin is bottoming out, just like it skyrocketed much more than bitcoin when bitcoin was topping out. On top of that I think Litecoin has a higher chance to die and never come back as the arguments for it's existence can be debunked with strong counterarguments (in contrast to bitcoin).

I might be wrong and anyone that is able to help me see this I would be very grateful for as in such case Litecoin will present a much larger opportunity than bitcoin if the holders start to question it's survivability and sell it to depressed levels comparable to bitcoin in 2011.

edit: Maybe this thread should be moved to altcoins, not sure. I'll leave it to the moderator's discretion.

wtf are you saying dude?

denial is strong in this one.
16643  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low is it going to go? $25, $15, $5, $2? on: July 06, 2013, 03:52:14 AM
tokeweed, this is the speculation subforum.

always put a caveat when making bullshit predictions. some people talk as if they know what their talking about.
16644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nothing Changed in BTC, selling today =give up your future income. on: July 06, 2013, 03:50:22 AM
yup i'm scared.
16645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Too many new users posting FUD (part XVII) on: July 06, 2013, 03:48:07 AM
It's amazing how so many people are willing to register to Bitcointalk just to come to this subforum to post about the end of Bitcoin™

So tell me new users: what are your reasons? who is paying you?  Cheesy

my reason:  borrowed bitcoins. sold them @ 110+. enjoying watching the crash. waiting for the right price to buy back hoping it is @ single digit levels (highly unlikely but one can hope).
16646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nothing Changed in BTC, selling today =give up your future income. on: July 06, 2013, 03:43:31 AM
nobody in this subforum actually cares about BTC's success, everyone is just trying to sell high and buy back lower because of greed

This is why the value went so high so fast, but now people obviously lost faith in the ability to make money on it, and are bailing out while they can. The price is crashing!

money and idealism.. oil and water.
16647  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bears can't give a proper explanation to the suddenly drop of BTC/USD on: July 06, 2013, 03:41:08 AM
We should think that manipulators, bears are going to take out the advantages of what you selling today ...because every bear want to buying back at lower price ..

why should we help them to achieved what they want Huh? just unbelievable....

because people are sheep. oh and good luck holding to your coins waiting for them to go back at 100+. it could take years before btc will get back at 100.

it could go sideways for a while cos the hype is gone.
16648  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bears can't give a proper explanation to the suddenly drop of BTC/USD on: July 06, 2013, 03:38:46 AM
If people see the ETF news and the return of a licensed Mt. Gox as reason to sell... I'm glad. More for me, the uber bull.

lol @ more for you.

more for people who sold above 100 and buy back at lower prices.
16649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nothing Changed in BTC, selling today =give up your future income. on: July 06, 2013, 03:36:00 AM

16650  Economy / Speculation / Re: 70 Will hold on: July 06, 2013, 03:25:14 AM
At least for now... That's my prediction gents.

Don't think we'll even touch it, but please sell down to 71, as I've got a buy order set Smiley

did it hold?
16651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nothing Changed in BTC, selling today =give up your future income. on: July 06, 2013, 03:23:41 AM
Things are much better than backed to beginning of April... Why should we sold BTC at the price much lower than beginning of April??
I can't figure out ,since nothing too bad...BTC are more recognized by the public than before , Even more entrepreneurs are under developing their BTC related projects.... As I am writing this  I just arranged a fiats transactions to the exchange ...I hope this a good time to buying.

denial's a bitch.
Go sell at this price, if you think I am denial, then make this thread here, we come back month later ,determining who is denial....

who says i am not getting back in when btc starts trending up...

oh fyi, i hope btc goes down to 1.

Greedy is not a rational strategy , if people all think in you way , BITCOIN become zero-sum game , you benefit out ,someone loss out ..

-> People Trade
-> Liquidity begins to Exist
-> Merchants use this liquidity to sell their bitcoins as they receive them so that they can accept bitcoins risk-free as a payment method.
-> Other merchants see other merchants accepting bitcoins which serves as a backing for the currency and thus decide that they want to hold bitcoins rather than selling them as they receive one
-> The world benefits from free, fast, and efficient payments

=/= zero-sum game.
So ,please tell me whatever reason you want to sell at 60s , the only reason is you want to get back when BTCs are cheap...
Why should we going to dumping and allows you to get it back in cheap price ? Am I stupid ?? if nothing fundamental of BTC has been changed, there are not logically reason to panic like this...
Um, I'm not selling in the 60s, I am wiring money in to put a buy order in at $57.

Of course there is a logical reason to panic, its because people are looking for a support and there is none, until $55-$57, so they sell, so you could have gotten a better deal if you had waited.

Everyone impose the same tactic, I do not think you will be work out , just because price are undervalue of BTC...From my point of view , I will never selling my precious BTC because some people are panic ,then I am panic as well...this just a too stupid tactic .

denial's strong in this one.
16652  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low is it going to go? $25, $15, $5, $2? on: July 06, 2013, 03:22:03 AM
It's going to drop, but how low?

Let's take a look at the long term spec...

There are three simple areas that stand out (The elephant in the room). Just take a look at the difficulty level, and how it traces through history.

If you remember back in 2011 the last time this happened, there's a similar pattern occurring...

1. The difficulty spikes, and shortly following is a nice spike that went up to ~$30.
2. Diff level's out... BTC value drops to ~$2.
3. Because BTC is on a whole new scale, and maturity level, it's just occurring again but on a bigger scale.

It's not going to drop to $2, but it's going to drop to something lower than $30.

For example, if the price where to drop from $30 to $2, I think that's big drop. Now if that same type of drop from $260 .... You get the picture.

please enough predictions. we all know btc is falling and nobody knows how low.
16653  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reason BTC is dropping in price. on: July 06, 2013, 03:20:23 AM
Its bubble deflation. Speculators are getting flushed out.

Get ready for $30 Cheesy

Btw, I expect the same thing to happen soon in the stock, bond and most other financial markets - when people realize how crazy the politicians and central bankers are, and that practically every financial market is in a bubble.

Watch from the current BTC collapse and learn. It's called "bubble deflation". This type of collapse, currently affecting bitcoin, is coming to all other financial markets soon

speculators/traders made a profit. holders catching all the low blows.

it is not panic.

sell 100 btc @ 60
buy back 200 btc @ 30
watch it go back to 60
profit.

that's reality.
16656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nothing Changed in BTC, selling today =give up your future income. on: July 06, 2013, 03:10:31 AM
Just a bunch of panic selling SOS don't mind just go pile up some bitcoins or sell out the equity postion and trade with profit  Cool
those no reason panic sellers ,just beyond my logically understanding ..... Whatever I still believe those panic sellers are weak and they will be regret month later what did they today .... Unbelievable why people are so essay to be manipulated....

It happens even with ASIC to be honest the true value is lower till the panic calms down
Worst case or predictable case reminder this is all speculation
Is an average 20-40 bucks then flatline for a while still double what it was before the giant rally
http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg730ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zv
http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/volumepie/

Alternative case is that the market realizes it's being silly and puts it up a bit once the attention returns to bitcoin
Spotlight logic lol
Say that 6% on the Volume Pie for China rises to 20% due to all the media hype by the Chinese if you recall in the ASIC thread Smiley
backing to logical, become bitcoiner for whatever you believing ,selling at 60s just mean you reject the basic principle of BTC and you do not trusting it...very well, we will hold on and makes you regret....

keep holding unto those falling coins bro.  you didnt have to stress if you sold them at 100 and buy back later. btc is not going away.

16658  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive rebound incoming on: July 06, 2013, 03:02:24 AM
I predict a massive rebound up into the triple digits next week. Right now there's lots of fear in the market and people are sending their coins en masse into MtGox to sell. Fiat however doesn't move as fast, it takes a few days to arrive and up until last Thursday USD withdrawals were impossible which doesn't help either. I mean who wants to send in their fiat when you know your USD will be stuck in there? So let's sit back and watch how after the weekend lots of fiat starts pooring in to scoop up some cheap coins which will lead to a massive wave of panic buying. You've heard it here first, don't be left behind when it begins. Cool

ok. sell your mom and buy bitcoins with the proceeds. you might make enough to buy two moms.
16659  Economy / Speculation / Re: To me this looks like an inverse bubble on: July 06, 2013, 12:24:26 AM
In a bubble people race to buy because price is increasing faster and faster and thus they want to get in and profit.

Now? The same, people race to sell so they can buy later at a cheaper price, everyone of course hoping to buy at the lowest price.

To me this is a bubble too, eventually it will pop and people will stop selling. Then people will start to buy again as fast as possible before price increase too much. Ye well, except of course the one who apply the "buy high sell low"tactic  Cheesy

Or maybe i'm wrong and price will drop to 0  Smiley

borrow btc, sell btc @ xxx, watch downtrend, buy back btc @ xx (or hopefully x), return borrowed btc, profit.
16660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market cycle : where do you think we are ? on: July 06, 2013, 12:18:52 AM
