Half BTC or less would sell tons, anything over 5 BTC is for large pockets. Anyway, the new series will be out after the halving as previously revealed, 2 stars on one side 1 star on another, Bobby mentioned previously it will have 3 stars. I wonder if it's a series of coins which in total add up to 12.5 BTC loaded all from the same block, so a 0.5 BTC, 2 BTC, and 10 BTC set? Or 2 x fives and 1 x 2.5? or 5 x 2.5 BTC? It may also be a 12.5 BTC coin, very large that however much it weights the BTC content will still be worth more than if it was made of gold. |

The designs in the OP are just concepts. It will be reworked before sending it out to the mint. Anyways here's a quick 3D model of the coin concept. Please me know what you think  The packaging won't affect the price of the coin that much. It won't cost more than 5-10$ for each coin. In 3D it looks better already |

I have a few made yes. #31,32,33 Regards, Matthew I'll have #33 gold plated B or 32 if not available. What's left on the silver side? Also saw one with the B only gold plated? Is that still available? Just confused on how many versions there are. Any help appreciated. Are these the 0.05 version or the 0.1 versions? Are coins available for both? |

I like the idea and will buy the coin, however I'd expect better designs then the ones shown in the OP.
Funded is ok but 1BTC for a first coin release nowadays is way too high.
If you want these to be popular consider not everyone will have 1 BTC on top of the cost of the coin to afford it.
0.01 funding got my vote.
Also don't mention your setup or how are you going to print your PKs... The less info you share the better, people are watching.
If you get hacked all the PKs could be too.
I also would try to avoid any method of printing PKs on the coin which could reveal it under Xray.
Oh and I rather the coin costs less than having fancy packaging wrapping it.
Packaging has no value, the coin and content has, spend more money on the coin design and mint, in my opinion.

The other point is the company behind the site, there is no info about the team, who they are, where they are based and the company name itself doesn't even have a website. Is the company a registered company? CC Ltd (Creation Company Ltd). If registered, in which country? Sorry but that doesn't trigger my confidence, hence why I'm also refraining from getting the book apart from the price. And yes more info about the raffle and how it will work would be good. Which version of the Casascius BTC Bar will be up for grabs? I see Mike Caldwell himself got a copy of the book? At least we know one copy is out. |
