I bought another 200 facs this morning slowly and steadily lol.
You help me to earn. Please buy more. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Shes been buying since 2000 satoshi. We have known about faircoin for some time in the poloniex trollbox. We love the coin and support it. Probably why were doing so well. Natural growth and interest in POS/Anti-inflationary model. Those who bought Aurora also thought ... I bought aurora at 6 bucks and sold at 0.12 was nice although i only had 5 then i got hacked lol. Yikes. How did you get hacked?

This faucet updated their wallet, and was added back via a request by some person/people here. It's currently dry, so thought I'd let everyone know. Share the Mint! http://coinok.pw/faucet/mint/Thanks for the heads up!

Android wallet update: Hello everybody; I'm working on a Java MintCoin library and an Android wallet. For best security and long term development, I forked from latest bitcoinj last week. Converted it to Scrypt. Made it able to communicate with my local Mintcoin wallet over network. I just updated it to understand and accept PoS/PoW hybrid blocks, and I can announce you that it can sync with the blockchain from genesis block up to #239870, which is generated just minutes ago ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) There are some missing features yet: - It can validate PoW block difficulties (calculation is a little different in PoW/PoS hybrids than pure PoW coins, PoS blocks affect calculations, and modifying bitcoinj library for this task really had some challenges) ; but it doesn't try to validate PoS block difficulties yet (this is a security issue and will be fixed before releasing) - It doesn't verify POW block rewards (due to the fact that I couldn't find a specific pseudorandom generator implementation that decides on randomized POW block rewards). I don't think this would be an issue as the main use case would be a Simple Payment Verification wallet, checkpoints will cover our security up to removal of PoW from MintCoin (though it will be nice to have the checks in place) - Minting: It's now almost clear that minting would be possible even in SPV wallet mode. I will annonuce details later. I have to figure out validating PoS blocks first. - UI: I'm just trying to get the pure library working properly now. Once the library is working, it'll be very easy to fork/make an Android App that uses it - Bloom filters: Here is a request for the community: Current Mintcoin wallet doesn't support Bloom filters. Bloom filters allow SPV clients download only the transactions they're interested in (instead of all transactions in blocks), reducing mobile users' data usage dramatically. Please put a bounty on it so that someone can merge it from bitcoin client. Android wallet will work without Bloom Filter support in the main client, but its data usage would be much more. This is great to hear! Thank you, paspi!

If the cards haven't actually been printed yet, a very large consensus of people in IRC have agreed "Once you go black..." is needed to be changed. I don't keep up with this thread so I'm not sure if that spilled over here, but Soepkip was in on the discussions and has some ideas. I love everything about the card except for that slogan on it, it's sophomoric.
In my opinion indeed: Loose the Once you go Black. The rest looks freaking awesome. You can go with: www.BlackCoin.co Meet Black. Or indeed www.BlackCoinCard.comI prefer the www.BlackCoin.co as people will find the right information directly! As soon as they insert the card they will have all the info right at their fingertips. Will the software installed on the USB key be Open Source? can we have a look at the code? No..it is a commercial product. I do not want every coin developer copying and pasting the code, and then recreating what we have done. However, you do not have to run the software included. You can just load the standard wallet alone and lose the custom start up menu, it is your choice. The start menu is just launcher that gives you access to everything associated with BC, it also can auto update the wallet when a new version is released. If the software is built upon open source software, like every other BC wallet, then it has to be open source. Right? I want to point out the menu launcher is not open source, that was created in house. However, the wallet is open source and no changes were made to the wallet. Just think of when you insert a CD for the first time for a new graphics card, usually a cool menu pops up and then you are able to make selections..etc..etc. Well it is the same thing. However, the menu is related to everything BC. Very cool! Nice work!

I'm number 45, but my Wallet should be at about 35. Don't know why the blockchain is still recording me with less coins??
Because you have several addresses. Most of us do. Open your Coin control window and in tree mode you see all your addresses together with amounts. If you want to put yourself higher in list, you can simply send all your coins to one address. Ay yes Thank you. So I can create a new address and send from my wallet all the balance to that. Is that right? Yes, but keep in mind that if you send all of your coins to a new address all of their coinage will be reset!

I guess the MintWallet needs to be patched against www.heartbleed.com ? Or does 1.8 already include that? If not, is there an ETA for 1.9 ? Thx a million! The v1.8 wallet uses openssl 1.0.1g, which is not vulnerable to heartbleed (1.0.1 g is the fix to the bug in 1.0.1) ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Waiting for them to allow verification where I live again ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I hope they can come back to the US soon. They would need a DNA sample, a retina scan, your left testicle and your first born child. Hmm... All of that is encompassed within my left testicle in one form or another... except for the retina scan.

Are you sure the voting didnt just end and they were accepted? There was some drama in an IRC between the guys behind lovecrypto and some BC people. lovecrypto person said they were removing BC voting. The pastepin is posted somewhere on the BC thread. Sounded like the lovecrypto people were mad that BC was not buying votes to get ahead, since they didn't need to because of their vote bot scam. Lovecrypto wanting BTC + BC wanting free fake votes = clash.

Requests for 20 free mintcoin via the @FreeMintCoin twitter account have been steadily dwindling following the success of our thunderclap.it In an attempt to gain some additional interest in Mintcoin and to continue with the goal to giveaway a few Mintcoins to as many people as possible over an extended time frame - I've set-up a free web based proxy to help advertise Mintcoin and the @FreeMintCoin and @MintcoinTeam twitter accounts. See: http://mintproxy.cu.cc/ - Its on a bit of a random free domain name, although the proxy hosting is quite stable and cloudflare is also enabled. This site will draw additional interest in Mintcoin from a wide variety of PC / internet users via proxy listing websites and random hits. A one-time on-click pop-under for the Mintcoin homepage is currently being served. I'll be adding a rotator into the proxyfied pages with text links to Mintcoin exchanges and merchants in due course. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Nice! Keep up the good work!

depends which version did you use earlier?
I had 1.5 then jumped to 1.8. Should I update to 1.7 then back to 1.8? Since 1.5 was before hard fork. Im afraid that all coins you minted after block nr 220 000 are in wrong fork and lost forever. What about the coinage that was used to mint coins on the wrong fork, is it lost too? Seems like maybe since the minting never happened on the correct chain, no coinage was lost on the correct chain? If that is the case, the only thing one would have missed out on by minting on the wrong chain is a little bit of compounded interest.

just letting people no that i have just updated from 1.7 to 1.8 without any problems so far. 1.7 kept jumping out of sync for me, so far 1.8 has not jumped out of sync and synced up pretty fast idk y when i installed 1.7 i done a clean install like everyone said to do. with 1.8 i only replaced the mintcoin.conf file in %appdata% and is working really well, i have not yet received pos or minted coins on 1.8 yet as ive only been getting minted coins every couple of days with other wallets so we shall wait a couple days and see how it goes also great to see devs and the community working hard to get this coin accepted on more places keep it up guys and remember tell every one you know bout this coin recruit as many people as you can while the price is still cheap, buy as much as you can and hold n mint ill be buying more with my next paycheck, only problem is i have to buy bitcoins first then transfer them to mint i read somewhere that someone is working on a USD-MINT witch would be great but still im in Australia so i would love to see a AUD-MINT if anyone can confirm this it would be much appreciated thanks »MÎNT©ØÎN ®ÊV¤LµTÎØN« Hey! Prelude has USD and Mint in the same place: https://prelude.io/I think Vault of Satoshi will have MINT markets soon. I don't see Australia listed as one of the countries that they don't allow verification in, so that is good news.
