At the start of the competition, Sadio Mane really managed to captivate the day of the Die Bayern fans.  he can adapt quickly at the beginning of the season, but as the competition progresses. Sadio Mane, has difficulty adapting to the many changes in strategy and rotations made by Nagels. as a result in the last few matches, Mane did not contribute to scoring goals.
no doubt Nagel often uses Mane as a Finisher to replace Lewandowski's role, but it seems that Mane does not fit the position that Nagels wants. so Nagel had to rack his brain to change his strategy when playing his matches.

As a result, Bayern can't play at their best.
I can't say Sadio Mane is a flop now, but he still hasn't found the game he's used to playing like at Liverpool. Bayern Munich still haven't found the chemistry between their new signings. I think he still needs time for that, to get the best out of him. Even though it takes time, I'm sure Mane can show something that is his strength. The league has only started a few weeks, it's not as expected but we have to be a little patient to see Mane.
Sadio Mane is not a flop, Bayern Munich might not be performing on a high level but you cannot blame one player for it or point Mane out for not performing well, it is a team effort and I'm sure at his own level he is performing and contributing to win games. Bayern Munich need a striker someone to play from the middle of the attack, someone who can run into spaces and score goals.

Barcelona are undoubtedly in good form right now. Although they lost against Bayern Munich, they still played well. They missed many opportunities. After Xavi came to Barca as a coach, the Barcelona team completely changed. Hopefully Xavi will have a long time with Barcelona and do well.
Barcelona are on track for real form again now, as Xavi never tire of continuing to make Barcelona better and able to compete with other great teams this season. Both in the Champions League and in Laliga, but what needs to be seen and remembered is that other teams have also experienced not bad developments this season so that Barcelona's strength, which has finally improved, seems not to be so visible against big teams like Bayern Munich.
I think Xavi's focus is not on the Champions League. Barca is very good at the moment in La Liga. there will be 2 matches in La Liga that will be done by Barca before meeting Madrid. however, the meeting of these two teams will be a match that draws a lot of attention.
I think Mallorca and Celta will be quite important opponents to build the confidence of Barca players before facing Madrid.
this season Barca does not want to lose the La Liga trophy.
I think it is a good idea for Xavi to focus on the league in this first season as the manager and work on building the team asI don't think Barcelona is ready for the champions league competition. It is much easier competing in the league than in the champions league, Xavi should focus on the league that way the players will build better chemistry and get one understanding this season.

Thomas Tuchel is reportedly on the shortlist to replace Julien Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich! He was sacked recklessly by Chelsea's management team. Big clubs, however, are always looking for good managers with a record. Bayern's management highly rates the former Chelsea manager. With his German roots, he might be better suited to Bayern München. Respect and better treatment are due to you. Is it helpful to change managers in the middle of the season?
I am not in support of Thomas Tuchel's move to replace Julien Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich. Tuchel have been sacked in two teams for almost same reason, lack of communication with the players and always whinning and complaining about the team and players after every disappointing game. I don't think Bayern Munich are ready to part ways with Nagelsmann yet, they still want to give him time to improve.
1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: September 23, 2022, 09:28:16 PM
If both play as well as they are now, yes. Haaland top of his game, Messi in some magical moment (hell, even Neymar is already up to half his regular season quota).

~snip~
Interesting, Many people guessed PSG deserved to be in the UCL final in the next few seasons. But they always fail, the best achievement seems to be they reached the Final in 19/20 after winning in the semifinals against Leipzig. But in the Final they had to lose 1-0 against Bayern Munich. Whereas last season they only reached the round of 16 because they lost to Madrid. There are always surprises for UCL, it's hard to decide the final is PSG vs Man City from now on. Maybe when you enter the knockout phase it will be easier.
In the past two seasons, PSG have been predicted as top favourites to win the champions league but they always fail. They always go far in the competition but when it comes to the final stages to fight and try to clinge the title they always fall off on the way probably because they lack that winning mentality to fight for trophies, it's a new season and another opportunity to try again, lets see how well they will perform this season.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 23, 2022, 10:22:40 AM
One problem I found with Arsenal is their inability to play big teams and win. They can be able to get 100% record against average teams but when it comes to big teams, they may not be able to get out with just a point.
Unlike Tottenham who knows how to play big teams, by playing a counter attack and surprisingly they could lose against small teams. That left me think between Arsenal and Tottenham who will be more successful this season.
I prefer to win against small and average teams and losing to big teams than losing to small teams and winning game, how many small teams are there in the league and how many big teams in the league and calculate how many points to be achieved from winning small teams and losing to big teams. You get to gain more points than losing small games and winning big games.

James Musiala is one of the best talents in the world today and at his age and playing for Bayern Munich also one of the best clubs in Europe has created that atmosphere to improve and play good football. His skills and playing style is really amazing which has become a major boost in his market Value. 80 million Euros is a huge sum for a player at his age and I can't say he is not worth the hype.

Manchester United preparations I'm confident for the winter transfer market. it will open in January next year. It has been reported that Manchester United is one of the clubs that will be very aggressive in the transfer market next year.
Well, i don't think Manchester United will be big spenders in the 2023 January transfer market, it is very difficult (not impossible) to sign players of top quality in that time of the year, and not only that, Manchester United have spent a lot of money this summer already, i am not so sure if they will be open to spending big again, just few months after. The acquisition of Antony, Casemiro and Martinez cost the club a lot of money, so they will prolly be reluctant to spend big again.
Manchester United haven't been lucky with lifting trophies in the past season despite their gigantic spending in transfer window. The board and fans are much contended with the players they have signed this summer, I'm not saying that they wouldn't sign when the January transfer marking open, but opening bids amount will reduce as they wil only go for few players. Erik ten hag really did a good job by landing some of his priority players this season and he's doing well for the team. Manchester United have won their key games, like Liverpool and Arsenal.
Winning trophies and winning games isn't just about luck, even when you are lucky you still need a good performance to push that luck to yield good results, Manchester United have been very poor throughout last season we all witnessed the poor form until Erik Ten Hag came in and it looks like things are finally turning around for better so we shall see if they can maintain this form and push their luck this time.

Except the unfortunate point loss against Vallecano, Barcelona are no different than Real Madrid in terms of strength these days. They are even better in defense compared to Real Madrid as they have conceded only one goal in total. Comparing this Barcelona to Koeman's, there is a huge difference. Thanks to Xavi Barcelona are coming back to their old days. The competition for the title will be really hard of course but finally I can say that Barcelona also have a huge chance for the title.

It is of course only the first weeks of the season but it's not difficult to see some key points at both of Barcelona and Real Madrid already now. After a point these two teams would have a big gap with the others by pulling away from them.
There is a difference between this Barcelona and Koeman's Barcelona, there is so much difference between the two. Xavi has really improved this squad with many talented players this time. In the time of Koeman, Barcelona looked like an average league team, nobody feared them last season but Xavi has been able to transform the team to some sort of standard to compete with Real Madrid in the league.

The premier league will be on break this weekend because of the international friendly games and after the break we are going to witness some really tough games between rivals I can't wait to see, Arsenal are taking on Tottenham and Manchester United going against Manchester City. So much tensity already even before the game because this will be a test of consistency in both games to see how well all four teams have improved and are ready to take on the rest of the season.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 21, 2022, 08:51:55 PM
I don't think Ronaldo will be staying after this season in Manchester United, it is time United start searching for a suitable replacement.
Ronaldo is not a problem to Manchester United,  they don't really depend on him, so if he likes he stays or leave Manchester United won't be affected.  Manchester United are doing well in performance presently not even because of Ronaldo's. Ronaldo has only score 1 goal for Manchester United in the Europa League and has not score any goal in the premier league this season. Manchester United has other good stars who are contributing alot for the club to come out best this season.
Ronaldo surely was not the problem at Manchester united and is not the problem, we shouldn’t point fingers at him as the cause of the overall failure of the club. The problem of the team was generally lack of team work, togetherness, good tactics and presence of average performing players who were not even ready to play. I can’t  forget that Ronaldo was the one that put Manchester United on sixth position last season helping them qualify to play European football this season.

Bayern Munich's need of a striker is getting bigger by every week. Some people believed that they would still do a good job with Mane there but they couldn't do this so far obviously. Because Mane isn't mainly a striker in the end. Rather than playing like that, we need to see him on the wing more. He should be allowed to play similar to his role at Liverpool. They need to solve the striker problem until the end of the winter transfer window. If they don't bring anyone in the middle of the season then the remaining time period also would be very tough for them.

I know that it is really hard to find and convince a striker who can contribute as much as Lewandowski in the middle of the season. But if they want to be successful this season the only way seems like dealing with this quickly.
I'm surprised to hear Bayern are seriously in need of a striker, when Lewandowski was leaving the club, Sadio Mane was signed to be his replacement. I thought Mane was meant to fill in the top striker position but it now seems the coach prefers playing Sadio Mane in his actual position that is playing from the left wing. The window is already closed now, Bayern will have to wait until January to go for a new striker and will have to make use of available players until then.

The speculation about Allegri being sacked continues to grow and the rumors are that Zidane is a prime candidate if that happens. in recent years, Juventus did not get any trophy and this shows that juve's performance continues to decline, changing coaches could be the best option for juve so that their performance and strategy can be updated.
From several sources said Allegri can still survive because the Juventus management still has full hope for Allegri to be able to correct his mistakes and hope he can recover players quickly and can get a win with the strategy that Allegri must prepare. It is likely that they will recover in the coming season because for this season Juventus points are already very far behind and it is impossible to catch up.
The problem is that when he is forced to stay it is clear it will also upset the harmony with the fans especially when the pressure is getting bigger now for Allegri to be sacked.
Right now if he really wanted to survive then he couldn't help but rack his brains more because the chair he was currently sitting in was very unsafe. The slightest mistake will obviously trigger a bigger reaction from the fans.
I won't blame Juventus if they contemplate to sack Allegri because of his team's previous loss to Monza. They have not been able to win any of their last five games both at champions league level and in their league, losing three and drawing two so I'm not surprised that the board is thinking to relieve him of his duties.

At present, they sit at the 8th spot, and if a solution is not gotten, they could well be on their way to relegation zone and possibly be kicked out of the champions league.
I do not like the current form of Juventus, they have good players. I don't seem to understand what is wrong, why their form have dropped and the poor performance. Probably Allegri isn't so good after all, probably he doesn't really understand the players and how to use them to their best potential. Not being able to win a game in their last 5 games is really poor.

The signing of Robert Lewandoski brought good changes to the Barcelona team because with him so far the performance of Barcelona has improved better than last season that  they were struggling to win matches, Barcelona made a good number of changes but Real Madrid team has been good shape since last season even till date.
I am happy that in the end people are starting to think that Barcelona have managed to improve the quality of their team well so far. Together with Xavi Barcelona has played a role as one of the strong teams both in defense and attack. They have some talented players like Pedri, Gavi, Balde, Ansu Fati and Xavi very willing to give enough time to these players.

This season, the arrivals of Raphinha and Lewandowski have saved enough time playing Ferran Torres, Depay and Ansu Fati as strikers. Xavi prefers to experiment by pairing Raphinha, Lewandowski and Dembele as strikers. It has produced good results for the team and Barcelona's attacking performances, but unfortunately Raphinha and Dembele have not had many goalscoring records as wingers.
It is true that Barcelona have managed to strengthen their squad this season, they have very talented and very experienced players in the squad now so it is expected that the team will play better and compete for all titles this season. The addition of Dembele, Raphinah and Lewandowski have improved the squad, boosting the attacking options and have transformed the team to a better goal scoring team.

Unlucky? Seriously?
How can being unlucky could be beaten 3-1? Football is not only about ball possession that they have but also the effectiveness. From their match, it can be seen that Man United played more effectively and accurately moreover on the shots on target. Arsenal often missed the chances to create goals although they had many chances. Lost is lost, let's see if Arsenal faces other big clubs again to see their exact performance.

Well, Chelsea vs Liverpool is still postponed. I am pretty curious about how their performance. As we know that these are two big clubs, but they made so many jokes about the match results during this match. Their position is also depending on the result of this match, whether they can maintain their position or being taken over.
Yes I’ll say Arsenal were a bit unlucky. Firstly before the Manchester United game, two of their first team defensive midfielders were ruled out of the match. I knew there was going to be a problem because their defensive midfielder (Partey) is instrumental to how Arsenal play, especially in the games they’ve played so far. Going forward into the game, we could tell that his absence was missed. Whenever Partey is in the team, there is just this level of calmness and confidence in that midfield and team overall. It's either they find a way to keep him fit for the course of the season or get someone who can do what he does at a great level.
When I read Thomas Partey was injured I wasn't so worried because I knew Zinchenko could also play in Partey's position until I also heard Zinchenko was injured also, at that point I knew there e as a problem, losing both players at once before a big game is a big blow to the morale of any team but the team played very well, showed good character but was unlucky to lose all three points to United.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 20, 2022, 09:08:40 PM
New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been compared by midfielder Bruno Fernandes to Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp because of the way he instilled discipline and a certain mentality at Old Trafford.

Manchester United appointed him as permanent manager in May. However, the Dutchman's tenure as United manager started badly when he lost his first two games.

But since then, the results have improved, and United have won four Premier League games in a row to move up to the top five of the table.
I cannot support this statement because Pep is an outstanding manager, he is not just outstanding because he coaches or have coached a number of big clubs but I say he is outstanding because of how much he has achieved is this time coaching these clubs. He currently holds 5 Premier trophies, 4 of which he has won in a space of 5 years. We don't often see this type of record in the premier league, his sight for good players makes him even so outstanding.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 20, 2022, 09:05:16 PM
First of all Maguire is a horrible player and should not be played, there isn't a situation where he is the best defender they have, he could be removed and they would have a great team, Varane and that other defender I forgot his name the short one, those two would be good enough, if you put them and then Ronaldo it should work. They have casemiro to play at midfield as well, so that team should be fine enough.

Thankfully Erik ten Hag doesn't prefer Maguire in the starting eleven of important games anymore. He started to choose him in only Europa League games lately. He isn't a reliable defender for any big team at the moment. I think that he might be sold after the end of the season also if they find a better replacement for him. He shouldn't be even the last resort for Manchester United I mean.  Grin

If Ronaldo also leaves the team at the end of the season then Manchester United should go for a good striker transfer. They can't continue with only Rashford. Antony has been brought here but he isn't a striker. Some people think that he is here to replace Ronaldo so that's why I wanted to say that. However Ronaldo might decide to stay if Manchester United make it to the Champions League this time.
Manchester united fans would be delighted to see Erik Ten Hag finally solving the problem of having Harry Maguire starting every game for Manchester United knowing fully well how bad his performances have been since last season. A number of times the fans have called for the benching of Harry Maguire but their plea have not been attended it will please the fans to finally get their plee attended to. The teams is playing well now since Maguire started sitting on the bench. I don't think Ronaldo will be staying after this season in Manchester United, it is time United start searching for a suitable replacement.
1697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 19, 2022, 10:28:47 PM
Moreover, currently Atletico are ranked seventh, quite far behind from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
I have never liked how Athletico Madrid approach football matches, they don't play football like the fun sport it is, they are either setting up a brick wall in defense, or diving into dangerous challenges that can leave opposition players injured, and then their fans are always hostile and their chants towards V. Jnr in yesterday's game should earn the club some punishments.

Athletico Madrid can't win the La Liga title this season, they must improve and play better if they are to finish even in the top four, the race is going to be a two horse one between real madrid and barcelona, barca look really strong, but it will take so much for them to take that title from real madrid.
Atletico Madrid style of play is so good, they come into every game with so much determination and seriousness, they are either defending aggressively or marking their opponents strongly, they take every game seriously and want to get a point from each game. Real Madrid are likely to win the league this season also with the kind of form they have, I think it will be difficult to win the league from Real Madrid.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 19, 2022, 10:22:16 PM

Indeed, Roma didn't deserve to lose, they played well and got a lot of chances. Unfortunately, Roma's finishing was not good, so Roma couldn't score
a single goal. Looking at the match statistics, we can conclude that Roma dominated the game. Several times Tammy Abraham had chances, then in
the last minute a heading from Eldor Shomurudov was almost right on target. The conclusion is that Roma were unlucky, while Atalanta did not create
many chances, but managed to score one goal. Atalanta defeating Roma is an ugly win, but that's football, sometimes a team that plays well
doesn't necessarily win.

It seems difficult to expect Mourinho to change his playing strategy, Mourinho will not do that. Because whichever team is handled by Mourinho,
Mourinho's strategy remains the same and does not change. Mourinho is not concerned with beautiful games, Mourinho prefers defensive play and
prioritizes winning. That is why the number of goals scored by Roma is very different from other big teams in Serie A.
Looking at the match statistics, it is obvious that Roma dominated the game and had the possession right but lacked good finishing which is very essential and important to win games. When you fail to convert your chances and  score the goals you always stand the risk of losing games. Mourinho needs to look again at his tactics and attacking strategies and see how well he can transform his attack.

Finally Brighton have sealed and officially announced the deal with Roberto De Zerbi as their new head coach who will become the second Italian coach in the premier league. I really doubt the new manager will be able to maintain the level at which Brighton has improved, I will really miss Graham's tactics and strategies and how well he has improved the team.

Despite the current crisis at FC Bayern Munich, coach Julian Nagelsmann is not up for debate. He continues to have the full confidence of board member Oliver Kahn and president Herbert Hainer. The German newspaper TZ is reporting on the topic:

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1571873278293065728

I would have been pretty surprised if FC Bayern had rushed to sack a promising coach like Nagelsmann.

IMHO, Nagelsmann will get the situation under control and we can expect FC Bayern to start winning again. For now, the speculations about Nagelsmann's future should be over.
Bayern Munich issued a statement in the weekend stating their enormous support for coach Julian Nagelsman, saying he is not up for debate and the club is willing to continue working with the coach, Nagelsmann has been impressive especially in the champions league where they beat Barcelona in the group stages or the game, I think Nagelsmann is a good coach and suitable for the club.
