Thats good to know. Thanks for the update. There might be some buyers waiting for little price drop!  We did drop to around 2300 overnight, but rebounded to around 2700. The fact it was overnight is a interesting twist too, as most price movements I have observed have previously been in European hours. Looks like Magi is spreading! Ok. Been looking in to this coin a bit... seams like a very stable coin and activate community..
My couple questions are is this coin worth holding and staking and if so what's about the min for it to stake every day or couple at most..
Also I see no updates in a while is the dev gone or this coin just that stable..
Dev is always here amigo. Magi is indeed a very stable long term currency! Magi is working on the future and nit only for tomorrow! I looks like Joe didn't post since the start of the month. what about poloniex. Why price is still 3k , what you are doing wrong , mavbe you need good manager like krypton , who did price from 2k till 30k
Magi likes to grow step by step. No rush but long-term. If a currency raises fast the risk might be a huge drop. Think it would be good for Magi to have more managers. In fact everybody in our awesome Magi community is a sort of manager. If more people work together the better the results. Seems like no buying volume though. Do you think that is a problem? Looks like there is a standoff at the minute - the main sell support is at 3700 and the main buy support is at 1700 with little coin available in between. people have been unwilling to sell or buy. The price has broken the 2900 barrier overnight, so looks to me like the price is dropping due to lack of support - however there are (currently) no bears active on the market pushing the price down so it will likely take a little longer to reach a lower level before a possible rise again. It will only take 10k XMG to push the price down to 2200. I suspect the sell support levels may drop too - but things are often crazy in the crypto world. Lets see what happens. |

Hi, you don't need to Stake for POI, you simply leave your balance in an account without touching it and 111magic will send the interest in form of payment - you have to register your address in order to participate in the scheme. i meant in general if i'm a long term holder what can i do with Magi if i can't stake it. Don't worry too much about staking. Magi staking profit is less than minimal. I'm not even staking my 30k XMG. this is a alarm signal as i stated before the incentive to contribute to network and have a 24/7 active wallet is not provided by POS the way its set up now Is Joe working on improvements for that? Might missed that during the holidays! Several people have suggested or requested that the staking interest be increased and a while back Joe acknowledged this and I think said he will be looking into it, (or I dreamed it and it is wishful thinking)  Joe has made it clear in the past that he favors mining over staking and that's how he set it all up to begin with. I think now would be a good time to give people a reason to accumulate xmg - one way to do that is to increase the staking rewards (a lot) - kind of like how banks 'used' to pay us to save money, somehow that way of thinking has disappeared. Another way is via the POI campaigns but this is only short term and actually benefits exchange trading more than the people staking. It's complicated, you make a change in one place and it affects things in other areas but I do hope the next update will reward the holders of magi by increasing the interest rate from less than 1% to a more incentivizing rate of return of around 5-10%. Who knows? Joe already surprised us with a new wallet that can automatically manage our block sizes which is awesome! In the meantime, the profits are on the exchanges. Yes indeed. Joe can you look into the above ideas? |

XMG dropped to 3K satoshi now, big drop from 4.2K. i wonder if it has to do with the delisting of many coins for no reason on poloniex
Might be. Good news is Magi (XMG) stays on Poloniex. Think the drop is ok. Few weeks ago value XMG was +- 2K Satoshi. So looks very good! |

What will be the catalyst to make this coin jump in value?
Magi usually jumps (or sometimes falls) during the following situations - Major announcement or feature from the Devs - Release of a new Feature - Some article on a popular site - Big shift in the BTC price has a variable impact - A whale deciding to invest in XMG - POI Camaign - Negative or positive posts on here (however they sometimes have the opposite effect to what the poster intended) I highly doubt any FUD post in this thread can change a cryptocurrency's price. Probably more likely the big miners selling their coins, or the whales as you've mentioned. Maybe it was just coincidence, but I noticed a few times the price moving or changing direction shortly after something being posted on here (usually only if its somebody heavily involved in the thread, and very certain that no FUD was intended). Looks like the market has settled down a bit, the price is resting between 3k and 3200k, on a marketcap level the price is the most stable at a high price its been which is a good sign. Trade volume has dropped a lot - but the price is still stable which is different to normal situations. It will be interesting to see which direction the coin goes when the trading volume increases again.
I hope for a short turn drop so I can stack my pockets Looks like buyers are waiting for a price drop & sellers are waiting for a raise. What will it be? |

Magi is playing game , and again down till 1k can be next week
Lets see where the price goes, if it is down to 1k next week then its a great chance to stock up again before the next wave. For me, I'm happy if it goes up or down, both situations are great opportunities. I agree with that! If prices goes down its a great chance for new people join the Magi community. Or a good chance for people to buy some more XMG. It's always hard to say what the value will be. Important for Magi is the trading volume. And good to hear that the new wallet is running good! No worries, it's generic info on how the connection is made. Dosen't need to be a wallet, it can be any kind of service running. Same as you enter http://a-web-site-url:81 in the url bar. You are just overriding the default port for that service Looks like Magi got a nice, healthy climb. The market has been going up and down like a yoyo today, shame I haven't had more time to be active on there, and I wish I'd bought more when it dropped recently LOL. There has been a ton of activity and price is still moving upwards on average. The lower limit is currently just shy of 3000. What another great day for Magi. I see that. Very good to see and fun to follow but as usual, didn't have time to do some buy / sell to gain some more magi. Seems to be some nice movement on both sell / buy side. Magi changing hands. So far during the up's and down's I manage to go from around 300 to 600 during a week or two Been thinking of going in with 2-3k and see how much I can accumulate playing with that instead of just a few hundreds Magi I started off with a few hundred now have a couple of thousand thanks to trading XMG - however I did take some of my low buy orders and push them into ETC and took them out again at 35% profit which helped a lot. The markets have been really active in the last month or so. I was fighting to keep the market liquid 6 weeks ago - now its flowing. Its really flowing! Look at the volume and buyorders on Polo. |
