Galatasaray yesterday made me jump up from my chair and scream for them as I was really happy to see Galatasary finally having at least a decent game in UCL and obtaining 1 deserved point because frankly , Galata should have won yesterday.

Galatasaray had 6 clear chances to score in the first half. Copenhagen had only 1 scoring chance in the first half and it was a goal. Luck was really not on Galatasaray's side in this match. Of course, it would be wrong to explain everything with luck. Ziyech and Zaha weren't fully ready yet, so we couldn't take full advantage of them. Also, when we look at the running distance statistics, we see that Copenhagen ran more than us. Moreover, Copenhagen played the last 20 minutes with 10 men. I believe we can finish 3rd in this group but we will face a tough test in Denmark.

Yes but this game could have very well gone wrong. I guess when it was the 80th minute, every player and fan in the stadium would have immediately agreed to a draw because nobody could expect that double punch right before the end of the game. Now of course when they scored the equalizer everyone in the stadium was hoping for that final lucky punch to turn that game around, but that wouldn't have been fair, would it? Tongue I think a team that is the outsider and can keep a clean sheet for so long also deserves to take home at least something. It can never be only luck if you successfully defend the goal for almost 90 minutes. There is definitely passion and effort as well like the game Real Madrid vs. Union Berlin, too. Kopenhagen was hoping for more of course.
I actually thought it was the red card that caused the whole game changer for Galatasaray because the opposite team actually played very well and also going two goals wasn't just luck as they perfectly played and calculated their tactics very well and I believe if not the red card the game would have been a totally different results because all Galatasaray could have done was if they can manage an equalizer goal.

Everyone needs motivation to give their best and if you don’t get rewarded for your work you maybe discouraged, maybe that have been the reason some of the members here don’t like to engage in discussions and who knows if it might have been one of the reasons none of our merit source application for our local board have been approved by theymos yet.

I think hugeblack and Cryptopreneurbrainboss have contributed much to this fantastic improvement. Let’s keep up the good work and give theymos a reason to approve our merit source applications.
Bro this is true of matter, as the rate of post and quality was already here in the forum and especially our local board here but the matter wey be day dull the whole issue na the lack of merits given to these post them but like you said this recent activeness of merits source to the local board has indeed awaken some of the sleeping quality poster and I believe say if this continues our local board will be ranked as the most active and lucrative board here for the forum. I aslo pray that this recent increase in quality post also reaches out to theymos to add and make source of our reputable member as merit sources too.
1683  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: September 20, 2023, 07:38:26 PM
I want to ask @light_warrior: Do you use any special tools to find so many plagiarized posts? Or do you check it manually?

I search for plagiarized posts on the forum manually. I don't have any scripts or any software for this. All manually. And the verification is of course done by special services, which are designed for this purpose and which I use. There are free, and there are paid. I use both of them. I can say that the paid ones are much more convenient. But here it is up to you. You can find the services with the help of Google. I am sure that no one can check and find plagiarism among billions of pages on the Internet manually. It is impossible. I also have my own criteria for selecting posts to check for plagiarism.
That must be quite a work you do mate, I was also wanting to ask you this particular question before I came across this when I saw pytogoraZ already did. I mean your stats on your post reported is quite amazing and like you said what you said about the impossibility about finding a plagiarized post on billions of pages on the internet that's same notion I have for doing this.
1684  Other / Meta / Re: Fun thought on Bitcointalk having this particular feature. on: September 20, 2023, 07:24:52 PM
It's a good suggestion anyway but I doubt if theymos will implement that and also what you should know is that write is the best why because some people don't speaks fluently maybe their intonation might be bad from your hearing. I could remembered a VC we did then on TG and many of our people finds it very hard to grasped what the foreigners were saying. So at the end it was summarize and documented to enable those who didn't get the whole speaking reads through the doc. So in may opinion that option should be there as well but somehow it could be very much better if this forum is like an app I think that will work very fine and smart, although it would consumer alot of space and we might be finding it difficulty to load the site since is on web.
Hmm, okay I see your point there mate but I don't think I intend it to be posted as a voice note although it will also be cool to see that but like you said alot of confusion will be in place in terms of grasping the language intonation. I actually was on the idea of user actually speaking there mind and then some kind of software actually write it down as writing clearly just like the Google voice option in the phones.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 20, 2023, 07:19:53 PM
United poor performance in league games continues, they don't stand a chance to compete with the Bundesliga giant in today's UCL game. Thomas Tuchel and his team are warmed up and prepare for the visitors, it's definitely going to be an easy win for the Bavarians if the old Red Devils play but if Erik Ten Hag and his men surprised us with a spectacular performance, ofcourse it would be good news for the club. I'm looking forward to watching the big game tonight. There's absolutely no doubt about the fact that Bayern Munich will dominate the game against Manchestet United and pull up a thrilling victory.
There is nothing sure in football, Bayern Munich is the majority guess to win the game, but Manchester United can still do something like Newcastle did yesterday. Real Madrid is already playing their first game against Union Berlin, and into extra time of the first half, no teams have scored. Real Madrid have lately been starting games slowly and playing better in the second half of games. Real Madrid will score and win in the second half to start their champions league on a good track like Barcelona.
And again Bellingham is the saviour for real Madrid again, I would have been very disappointed to see Madrid draw this game at full time because I mean come look at the possession and also the actual shot they have tried on this union Berlin goal post, a whooping amount of 26 shot and they had about 6 on target and yet couldn't find the goal till Bellingham came to the rescue of my ticket and Real Madrid good start up  Grin. The boy just keep proving his worth and importance in every game they play.

Hello friends

I would say I was rather confused on chosing the right topic head but still pardon me for the one I choose and although the topic created is just to fill up my curiosity and I would also like to have user opinion on this thought of mine.

Well so I was thinking how would users feel if actually there was some kind of Voice translation writing mode here in the forum so as to aid those who are not too good at typing or expressing themselves very well through writing to actually speak out their thought and it gets written down correctly for them  Angry.

Although I know it's a crazy idea but still it's a free community so I decided to speak out to see how many people actually have similar thoughts on the idea although I have a feeling I would be criticise on this but it's worth throwing the question out there. Lol
1687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin have grant program ? on: September 20, 2023, 06:59:41 PM
Never heard of any grant program for Bitcoin but after a bit of research, I found The Human Rights Foundation grants $455,000 to 12 bitcoin projects worldwide from their Bitcoin Development Fund.

Source: https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/human-rights-foundation-grants-$455000-to-bitcoin-projects-worldwide

So it means Bitcoin has some grant programs and I think there are more grants out there.

Hmm interesting, I never actually new there is such program on with Bitcoin and I think am not the only one on this and it's funny how you actually think such things doesn't exist till someone actually put a thought or curiosity in your mind. After seeing this reply and the Op thread, I was also curious to find out more about Bitcoin grants and I think I have made some research but haven't got anything valuable on this apart from the actual link you provided and I don't know if it's because my search engine is pretty limited as am a mobile user ?
1688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Validation speed for bitcoin transactions. on: September 20, 2023, 06:51:03 PM

I did some research on Bitcoin transaction but I wasn't too clear on some things.
Bitcoin transaction fees are the rewards miners get when they verify transactions therefore the bigger the transaction fees the more inclined miners would  be to verify the block.Does this mean that if two  Bitcoin transactions are carried out simultaneously, the transaction with larger block chargess would likely be validated before that of lower transaction fees?

Also aside from network congestion which can be avoided by transacting when the network is less populated and transaction size , how does block space demand affect transaction fees?

A perfect example of miner tending to chose transaction with higher fee will be the time that the mempool was congested with lots of transaction due to the short hype of the pepe and meme coins that was included to the Bitcoin Blockchain and these transactions at that time tend to carry a huge significant amount of fee added which was what made the cost of any transaction to flip to a very high price and miner will definitely tend to mine transaction with such fees than that with lower fee and my one question also is why wasn't there any alternative to reduce the fee rate at that period apart from using the Bitcoin lightening network.
1689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Just HODL But HODL Wisely and Securely on: September 19, 2023, 09:44:46 PM
What sucks is that if most beginners just download a bitcoin wallet off Google PlayStore/Apple AppStore, chances are, they'd land upon an exchange wallet or a custodial wallet. The way bitcoin/crypto is now, you need to learn by mistake first lol before actually ending up diving deeper.

https://chainsec.io/checklist
But funny enough as you said but it's still actually the truth because most of these beginner actually just rush or move faster than self maybe due to how they feel owning and holding Bitcoin can be easy through different way they have come across Bitcoin itself. I am saying this because I actually had a friend who never really wanted to learn but he just thought how beneficial it can be and actually made a deposit and started with his crypto journey in an custodial limited wallet he downloaded through the internet.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 19, 2023, 09:36:10 PM
Protect Your Privacy, Be extremely cautious with your personal information. Never disclose sensitive data to anyone claiming to be from the casino, as this could be a ploy to steal your funds or identity. Legitimate casinos won't ask for this information upfront.

This is going to be hard when you're asked to do KYC and your're wrong about legit casinos not asking for this information upfront. They usually don't ask for KYC right away because they have so many clients that they wouldn't be able to process so many applications in such a short time, so they sift through them by eliminating people who never won anything and did not try to withdraw.
Your data is at risk every time you do KYC, that's the truth, even if the casino is legit and registered. Many of these sites have database leaks and your documents end up being sold on deep web so that someone somewhere can make a fake ID and get a loan.
Hmm that's interesting I never actually quite looked at it from this angle because I could not imagine having  my data being leaked then someone using it for evil activity like collection of loan without my approval. Can this be possibly true? Well I don't know how often casino do get this particular breach you are emphasing on  but I do feel most of the casino that well recognize can actually secure your personal data as they claim they can.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 19, 2023, 09:24:39 PM
The fun stops when a gambler starts to realize the amount of money and time they have spent in gambling and what they could have done with all that money instead. There comes the fact that it is bad both to chase losses and also keep track of those losses (even though one is not necessarily chasing them anymore).

The happy gambler is one who forgets and forgives, who does not have any emotional need to count of lost money and the "what if" of their gambling sessions.

It is said that gambling is a hobby or an activity which can be partaken by people of all social classes, but I would personally never incite anyone who cannot afford to pay for entertainment, to venture themselves in gambling.
This can be very annoying especially when we have tried for many times to make sure that we look for how we can better our lives in gambling but after so many years of playing bets, there is still to story to write home about. Gambling is interesting to those that had been making consistent profits from the market and we need to make sure that we do the right thing before we we ever think of gambling like those that have the wealth and means to gamble anyhow they like. Gambling need to be more of patience but at the same time, we need to develop ourselves as quickly as possible.
I agree that gambling experience isn't all that good for everyone but that's normal because luck isn't same with everyone so some people experience bad luck. But I couldn't imagine consistently playing games and then nothing seems to be yeilding it's would be rather frustrating and the only option for me would actually be to stop the act because you can't expect someone to be involving in sometimes he isn't benefiting from anf still continue.
1692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: September 18, 2023, 11:47:38 PM
I did most of my DCA into BTC between November 2013 and early 2017.. . .and I did a bit of DCA after 2017 too.
That's quite a long initial journey with DCA that you are doing.... Maybe I will start like that at the start of this year until the next few years, I'm not sure how long it will last but my own target is 2032. Is that realistic? Of course I will try my best.

One thing that is so great about DCA is that you can figure out for yourself, and sure, if you end up getting a $500 to $1k bonus once or twice a year, then you are going to have options regarding how you choose to spend that $500 to $1k extra when it comes in, and you may well end up choosing to buy BTC with it right away rather than spreading out your BTC purchases.. It is not always an easy choice to figure out how to employ extra cash when it comes in.. especially if you feel that you don't frequently come across extra cash. but the more you go through with buying BTC regularly, at some point you might decide that you are going to divide that lump sum into three parts in order to allocate 1/3 towards each (Lump sum, DCA and buying on dips), and then there might be some other times in which you feel that you want to strategize your purchases to buy on dips, and you might divide the lump sum into 3, but instead keep it all in one category, which is to buy on dips.. so you might buy 1/3 right away, and then the 2/3 to buy after a $1.5k drop in price if it happens and the 3/3 part, you might assign to buying that amount upon a BTC price drop of 4,680.

Those are your choices, and it seems to me that the more BTC that you get, the less stressed that you are in regards to buying BTC right away with your extra cash, and you become more wiling to set your BTC buy prices and just wait for the BTC price to come to you, and hopefully you are not too greedy in the places where you set your purchase prices, because if you already have enough BTC, the you are not worried about the BTC price going up because you already have enough BTC.
Yes, now I understand the DCA method and know the benefits myself. Expenditures will now be even tighter after the DCA planning has started. Before doing this I always shopped for non-essential items so for now, unnecessary expenses will no longer be used and it's more important to be strict on DCA than anything else.

In a normal year I always get a bonus from work several times but this time I haven't received it from the office. What is clear is that I already have this plan and will put it in BTC, but I also have a choice between buying it in a lump sum or in several part like you said, on the one hand I want to separate DCA and lump sum with different wallets and also with different records in the spreadsheet, it's clear in my opinion the results will be greater in DCA planning than lump sum because the bonus money cannot be determined how big it is but that in my mind is separate.

Even now I have to be a little more adaptable, the need is increasing day by day, I have to save a little more so I can do more DCA well and strictly.
You can do it when you are really ready to do it. Just like this, just put your level of confidence in Bitcoin first, because if you can't control your lust for the profits that come your way, then you are not ready to enter the long-term investment zone like JJG did. I see almost everyone doing DCA for their long term investments but they don't have a strong mentality to hold it in the long term because they exit when they are already making a profit.

I think you have to learn step by step first to prepare yourself mentally for long-term investment. DCA really supports you in accumulating BTC in each Quartel if you make purchases in each Quartel, but you have to have a level of confidence in the long term early. So with what you said it seems like you are still waiting for your salary from your office to buy BTC. of course that is a pretty good decision and I think do it based on the percentage that you have, divided into your financial interests for living needs and for investing in Bitcoin.
As nothing is actually ever simple in this world to do especially when it comes to field of financial stability same thing applies to actually successful holding your Bitcoin and it's another case if you are accumulating through DCA, why? Well because it's not an easy task and most people actually just give up at the long run of it because of so many reasons and here are some.
---lack of discipline
---wrong financial income or none at all
---No proper planning
--- procrastination
--- impatient
Before anyone can properly practice DCA and still hold on to their investment for a long period these certain barriers are to be broken.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: September 18, 2023, 11:34:30 PM

Leverkusen vs Hacken BK.
Sheriff Tiraspol vs Roma.
Ajax vs Marseille.
LASK Linz vs Liverpool.
Panathinaikos (N) vs Villarreal.

Excellent games you have listed here; I believe Leverkusen can get a win at home comfortably while Roma and Mourinho should have no troubles defeating the Sheriiff clubsides in their first group game. I am touting Marseille to a win away in Holland against Ajax; while Liverpool will show LASK hows it done with an impressive victory too.

A draw in greece looks like the only possible result between Panathinaikos (N) vs Villarreal.
I think am going to cut you there for saying Mourinho and Roma won't have a problem at playing sheriff tripasol at home because I think they are definitely going to have problem playing this particular team. This sheriff boys have prone to be big disturbance to most eure tops teams and at their very best they can definitely win Roma and Mourinho because most team always do underrate them and for a game of football that's exactly the opposite to do.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 18, 2023, 11:29:17 PM
In terms of Champions League performance, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are supposed to qualify for the round of 16, but with the current teams' respective league performances, Manchester United is having a bad time and might end up not qualifying if they do not improve their performance because Bayern Munich, Galatasaray, and Copenhagen are doing credibly well in their respective leagues, and for Manchester United to start their Champions League against Bayern Munich if they lose, they might not qualify because any of these two teams with their current form can beat Manchester United.
Aside from team Bayern Munich which stands out in terms of their quality in the group, Right now from the look of things Manchester United, Copenhagen, and Galatasaray all three teams have an equal opportunity to qualify from their group, we might even be thinking that Galatasaray is next in line after Man Utd,  and we might get a shocking qualification from team Copenhagen and they come out second in the group.
Well that group looks really quite interesting because like you said apart from Bayern Munich who everyone knows will definitely rain supreme the rest teams are of same quality to qualify and that includes Manchester united aslo although I would class Copenhagen a little bit less when it comes to champions league football experience but that's doesn't mean they can cause upset in the group. As for the first game featuring united and Munich, I think with the current looks of things we all know who is going to secure the win.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 18, 2023, 11:23:25 PM
While Burnley scored with Zeki Amdouni, the big thanks goes to Koleosho's great run. Koleosho has played very well so far. Burnley may have signed a great talent.
Nottingham Forest didn't give up and did everything to avoid losing at home though. Callum Hudson-Odoi scored an excellent goal. I think we will be able to watch him more after this goal. I like that these lower tier teams in the Premier League are finding young talents and putting them on the field.
Actually, I didn't expect Burnley to score first. Because I think that Nottingham will win the match against Burnley easily. The reason I think like that is because last week Nottingham beat Chelsea with a score of 1-0. So fighting Burnley shouldn't be a big problem. But Burnley proved that they are not as weak as I imagined. And yeah even Nottingham had to fight harder to equalize. I don't know if it's just me or everyone feels the same way. That is, the results of this week's matches are too surprising. More of my unsuccessful bets and predictions this week.
well I thought the exact opposite because I knew Burnley are quite the stubborn team themselves and winning Nottingham forest would have been a really wonderful way to follow up with them returning to the priemer league.
Well as for Nottingham forest they always seem to have something up their sleeves and today again although going behind they still came back and equalized the match.
1696  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: September 17, 2023, 07:14:37 PM
I love shuffle

I am sorry, but is there any chance you are shilling for shuffle.com? Because you posted on 11th October that you received a $5 promo from shuffle.com, and you posted the same thing today a few hours ago. Now, again, you are posting that you love shuffle. Well, these one-line posting is considered low-value or zero-value post, and I don't think such posts helps you or shuffle in any way. If you are just a random user, you are making trouble for shuffle.com here by posting one line multiple times, which seems shuffle.com hired you to post these comments. The community considers this behavior to be too bad. @Shuffle, I don't know who is this guy. If he is an insider, consider asking them not to vouch in this spammy way. It will make things worse only. You guys are doing fine with the signature campaign already.
Yeah that's true because such post will only bring bad reputation to the shuffle team because this particular habit of yours is exactly what people who tend to promote scam site actually do and since shuffle is  new here it's not really helping the brand as you are constantly posting one line posts praising them which most people here would take for a different notion all together.
1697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big capital, small risk or small capital big risk - which is best approach? on: September 15, 2023, 07:45:09 PM
Different people with different approach to gambling. Some prefer committing huge capital to high probability small odds while others prefer using small capital to target big wins. There are many reasons for each of these approaches.

While those that put huge capital win more often, their losses are usually painful. On the other hand, those that commit small capital to make huge wins rare win but when they do, they win big; their losses too are less painful. There are other advantages and disadvantages for both approaches but for the sake of this discussion, let's know which approach you think is better and why?
gambling is almost similar to business, don't expect that you will get big profits if you only spend a small amount of capital, but it is important to remember that never use gambling capital that exceeds the money you currently have, it's just a trap in your mind if you think you will get more money in your gambling activities (Gambling is not designed to make someone rich overnight, gambling is designed for entertainment that uses money)
However, there are quite a lot of lottery jackpot winners who spend small capital but win very big, their luck is usually only once in a lifetime.

Hmmm I know it's true somehow about gambling high being better than low because the risk involved in this type of gambling is less than gambling with small funds because when gambling with small fund you will have to accumulate high odds and sometime you do this only with the option of using parley selection and everyone knows how parley selection is difficult when it's come to gambling and especially soccer for that matter.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: September 15, 2023, 07:12:14 PM
I guess, there is an adage that says "one man's food is a Poison to another".  Alot of people derives joy in gambling, while some takes it as a daily way to earn and also loss their funds. Just because you've made up your mind to stop gambling don't mean that others should stop. Everyone has a choice in life. How you decide to live today will tell your tomorrow so everyone bears their own problems. The only problem that comes with gambling, is it's addiction as someone who never tried it before decides to try for the first time and then "boom, he cashs out a huge amount. You don't expect such person to stop gambling. This will make him or her, to try more even when he encounters losses.
Please let's correct that statement about taking gambling as a daily source of income because it's really an impossible journey for one to actually think that he or she can make daily earnings from a casino and thats why I don't ever support such statements. Although gambling is seen as different view for different individuals but the fact still remains that it can never generate income on a steady.
1699  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Avoid Waje Games - My Personally Opinion... on: September 15, 2023, 07:07:20 PM
The game was luached late last year, 2022. I have not tried any play to earn game before and I thought you will not deposit anything but play for free from how I did saw the ad pop ups with those girls and a guy with sugar-coated mouth. I did not know that it is gambling. Although, I should have known, but I am just knowing right now.

I always disregard anything that I see about money online, especially the ones that do not look real. Example is the Waje game that those advertisers keep saying they did not deposit anything but won over ₦70000 in a week. Another example which is not about this discussion are those loan apps that give fake rate like you can borrow ₦50000 to pay ₦50250 back after 30 days. All these fakes look fake from their ads.

That game they trend all over social media but me I no say no free thing for this our 9ja so I no kuku reason am but the way they are going about this waje game is something else oh imagine they even went as far as editing someone conversation and program it to sound as if they are talking about waje game and how to make money from it, those guys have actually edited so many celebrities comments making it to look as if is them in other for people to join the waje game so people should just be careful with those kind of games.

OMO this game tire me, I don see for almost all the social media platforms and the most surprising thing be say opay don even put them as a direct deposit option under gambling or funding of betting account. No be say I no wan try this game out ooo but the way all the advertising they go about the game sef come dey make me even dey suspicious about the this and plus say anything for this naija dey always turn out to be format to use scam people.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 15, 2023, 06:23:40 PM
I am not expecting much from Manchester United. First of all at the beginning of this season I also thought that Manchester United will play very well this season and their aim is to win the title. But after watching their performance, I realized quite well that my assumption was wrong. Manchester United's performance is very poor. They have won just two out of four matches. Despite winning two matches, their performance was not very good.
I also hoped for a much better performance from Man United this season and while they’ve been playing below what I had hoped, I wouldn’t consider winning two out of four matches played as being a very poor performance. Sure, it’s not the performance that had been expected of them so far, we shouldn’t ignore the fact that it’s only four games that have been played before hastily passing judgment on their performance.
I am hoping for a Man United win in the game against Brighton. It may not be an easy one as Brighton is no pushover but I think United would win the game. I also think we could see goals from both sides.

Manchester United have won two out of four, which I wouldn't call a bad result either. They still have a chance to be in the top four of the points table. But even though Manchester United managed to win against Nottingham Forest and Wolves, I don't see good performances from them. The team secured a narrow 1-0 win against Wolves. And despite managing to score 3 goals against Nottingham, they conceded two goals. Nottingham Forest's attack is relatively weak. However, Manchester United conceded two goals. That's why I think Manchester United's chances of dominating against a big team like Brighton are very low. My guess is Brighton will win or the match will be a draw.
If anything Brighton has been holding the formula  for beating Manchester United and with the current form of Brighton I think they can have their way to successfully win this Manchester United club again. Manchester United have really performed under my expectations because with the way they were playing with ten Haag the whole club and expected them to do better.
