Well, I am glad I ended up downloading the Clam wallet and importing as I found more clams than I originally thought I had left as I had dug some manually before.

Interesting idea to be able to search the blockchain for keywords etc. I'm sure this could be useful for certain purposes. Not sure I've really had the need to do it, but I'm sure it would come in handy for something.

Both Firefox and Chrome but mainly Firefox for addon capabilities. And I love my treestyle tabs!

KeePass is opensource and free and is a great product. However, if you use multiple OSes, the support for them is limited to 3rd party apps or emulator software ( which usually isn't very good ).
If you need better multi-OS support, I've heard good things about 1Password, but this is a paid product.

There are no chargebacks when sending bitcoins so trust is definitely needed in the merchant or a trustworthy escrow is needed.
I also recommended looking into their return policy if any so you know what you are getting yourself into.

Just a friendly reminder to be very careful running untrusted executables such as this.
Many will and should be wary to try this unless the source code is also posted so people can review/compile it for themselves.

The promo line address doesn't change between games. They reuse the same address for it as well.

Additionally, it is probably a good idea to spread your btc balance across a few addresses instead of storing them all in one address. If for some reason, that private key was compromised, you wouldn't have all your eggs in one basket. Spreads the risk out at least a little bit. Of course that doesn't matter if they have access to the wallet.

I'm not sure someone would double spend against a coffee shop though. Maybe only require confirmations for high value purposes or something which wouldn't be the norm at a coffee shop unless buying a lot of stuff or a gift card.

It is pretty amazing how many banks don't employ 2FA or offer the ability to use it though. I've even heard of some banks that make your password case INsensitive so people don't forget it. From a bank, that is crazy. You would expect them to put more thought into creating a secure system.

Bummer I was looking forward to possibly entering this.

Thanks for the offer. Completed the survey.

Or possibly, anyone playing with revealed server seed had a disabled withdraw/tip, so just decided to put on one last show
I think I read that Robbinhood was able to withdraw a decent amount (40 BTC maybe?) before being shut down. Yep, pretty sure I recall that he withdrew about 40BTC before being shut down.

All kinds of addictions are hard to kick, especially if you have an addictive personality. The best way is to somehow forget about it or replace it with some other activity that you find more enjoyable.
But of course we will always find ways to procrastinate from doing things that we don't want to do.

This is definitely a good question and I think one of these type of competitors could potentially hurt bitcoin. Though I think most people would not be for a governmental controlled or sponsored coin because one of the major advantages of Bitcoin is the decentralized nature of it. However, if one of these big players does try to put out a competing cryptocurrency it could certainly drive some of the bitcoin users away so it is good to think of how bitcoin would overcome these challenges.
