Does the lite client with balance forge? Is there forging at all in waves? Couldn't find it in the OP.

It will be announced in the "Techpaper". Detailed information for POS will be officially announced in 1-2 weeks after launch Waves on exchanges, after 14th of June.

So what keeps the chain going now? Non released hard nodes?

Probably their "full-node" servers Wink wallet looks great - no problem, everything straightforward!

Noob here:)...can I mine waves with my nvidia gpu? if so can you recommend a pool, software, etc.

You cannot mine waves - there is 100m WAVES and that's it - no more, no less will be generated.

What's with all the rush to get main net wallet quickly online it's not like you will be able to trade it on exchanges, better wait and have a product that works 100% than something that is half done and will only hurt WAVES on the long term.
1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 10, 2016, 07:53:49 AM

This is also dangerous:

[...]Please make sure that you are on MAINNET before importing any account,
using any password or creating addresses with the intention of transferring real tokens.
Accidentally using TESTNET would result in lost assets!
  Shocked

Be careful guys ...

Yeah that's certainly a good to know always check if you mistakenly go on testnet address!

Lol.

Yeah for 5 seconds maybe Smiley then around 4-5x ico for first 2-3 hours bouncing up and down than a bigger dump when majority gets in to around 2-3x ico, settling in the 3x for the next few days.

Well, today it must be released lightwallet... but on my ICO page instead of withdraw option I found just subscription to newsletters ...

Wait Wink it's still a long day ahead no need to rush anything, I'm certain info will be posted here and on their website.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 08, 2016, 11:37:40 AM

If there arent enough delegates who will share with the community I will start one with other dutch user here (elitecstrike).

There should be at least 51% of the 101 delegates that use sharing with the community. This way Lisk would not be sold and be holding in the wallet and the community will get something in return.

The rest of the income should be used for promotion of lisk, dapps and personal income.

Most delegates will use the rewards only for themselfs.

Not true - if you read through most of the delegate proposals ~80% will fund BAPPs (Blockchain Apps) which should be essential at this stage and long-term success of LISK only sharing back majority to voters who will only dump it on the market won't do LISK any good on the long term.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 07, 2016, 10:38:48 AM
Is forging produces block ? Its been two weeks my delegate server is running yet not a single block was generated. With DPoS, I am confused I have voted for delegates and still no improvement on forging.

Forging rewards haven't yet "kicked" in they are postponed until later version (currently set at around 5 months from now), but it probably won't take that long.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 07, 2016, 09:59:16 AM
So any one can vote or must we hold Lisk . And how do we vote

You have to register an account through your wallet.

you can't vote if you hold  Lisk through an exchange

Must you hold lisk in said wallet or will you still be eligible to vote with a 0 balance?  Kiss

You need to have LISK in order to vote each LISK represents 1 out of 100 000 000 lisk votes available. So if someone gets voted from someone that votes with his account holding let's say 100 000 that is an equivalent of 0.1% voting weight.

Over 30 percent of all Lisk is in Poloniex's wallet. Does concern me a bit.

I mean, I don't think they would vote, but with people probably having their lisk laying in wallets they don't intend to touch for a long time and lazy people, holding 30% could be close to 51, when it comes down to voting power.

If Polo gets hacked and someone gets their hands on that wallet, the Lisk network as a whole would be in great danger…

In the early stages I think LSKHQ should make a list of who they believe are trustworthy, valuable delegates, that besides their other activities also share some of their profits, as well as simple instructions how to vote for them. (I'm not sure this can be done via the web wallet?)

1/2 of the 15% inflation going to profit sharing would be 7.5% p.a, given less than 1/2 of LSK will probably vote that means >15% interest per year for those that remove LSK from exchanges and vote, in the process decentralizing LSK and supporting delegates that are also adding value to LSK in other ways.

As the delegate system matures, LSKHQ can stop making a recommendation list for those that want to vote but don't have time to vet 101 delegates.

(A recommendation list from a centralized source like LiskHQ may sound counter-intuitive but given we're reliant on LISKHQ for the first 1-2 years of development, we're pretty reliant on them anyway. So I think anything that simplifies the process and gets people to remove their LSK from exchanges and start to participate in voting is positive at this stage.)

Nice post . I can help you with voting instructions :

Lisk team probably made some kind of an arrangement with Poloniex to need get involved with voting of delegates.

You mean that they are supposed to vote or that they shouldn't vote?

The former would be kinda bad, wouldn't it? Especially with profit sharing delegates out there

My guess would be that they shouldn't vote as they could take over the network and all the rewards and I don't think that's in their best interest as well could only fuck their reputation / LISK up and thus their main source of current income from trading.
