1681  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-31] INDIA COULD ‘LEGALIZE’ BITCOIN NEXT AS PUBLIC CALLS FOR REGULATION on: May 31, 2017, 03:42:22 PM

At the same time, Bitcoin appears to be spreading rapidly in India, which can be see by a constant rise in trading volumes and increasing merchant adoption throughout the country.

Increasing merchant and an increasing number of users is good for bitcoin and could give a good push toward its adoption
The sick part is that it requires a political approval!
1682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: May 31, 2017, 03:26:41 PM
That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500, and then 3 days later someone buys it at $2000. But I'm guessing that it's the risk involved in investing, so what do I do now? Sell? Or hold on them?

That moment when you bought 1 BTC at $1000 then 1 month later or so you sell it at +$2500 then you buy it again at $2000 and wait to sell it again at a higher price  Wink
1683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: May 29, 2017, 04:15:11 PM

In 2014, all the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin was banned by the government in Ecuador. This was followed by the introduction of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.

However, defiant Bitcoin users still continued using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin use in Ecuador has spiked due to the recent price rise.

Do you think that the Ecuador government will freely allow the use of Bitcoin as its popularity increases?

Accepting bitcoin or not shouldn't be a problem for bitcoiners since they can use it freely 24h/24h even if it was banned in several countries...The worst scenario, they will transfer funds to an international credit card and ta da!
Back to the Ecuadorian gov, it is silly to ban an unbannable thing  Wink
1684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any thoughts on the price drop today? on: May 25, 2017, 11:11:24 PM
Hey everyone, I was wondering what you guys think attributed to the price drop we saw today.

I found it normal and very expected... The price jumped +$600 in less than one week and +$350 in less than 12 hours! Then the big whales are selling their assets and they bought again after the price crushed
Big and huge profits! Well calculated
1685  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new milestone 2000$ on: May 21, 2017, 11:41:30 AM
What's going on in okcoin? Huge gap comparing to the other, it wasn't like that before crossing the $2k barrier

You should only pay attention to the price of OKCoin's CNY-USD ratio. Right now it's CNY-USD $2020 versus USD $2140. The USD side of OKCoin's trading platform has a very poor orderbook (both buy and sell side). In that regard, it takes a low amount of capital to pump the price up to much higher levels, but it also requires a low amount to dump the price $500-$600 lower. Nothing special here.

Ah ok thanks 1Referee, didn't pay attention for this point since I just take a look of the okcoin's price in the tradeblock.
BTW GDAX price crossed $2100 few minutes ago before returning to $209x

1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2017, 11:22:48 AM
We all expect a dump coming soon. I´ll expect it around $21xx and probably will go down to $1600 or so ish... Of course I´ll hodl through like I did the last 5 years  Cool

Any predictions?

The price will continue its rise to $2300-2400 in my opinion before a correction could take a place...if ever will be a correction before $3000  Tongue
1688  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new milestone 2000$ on: May 21, 2017, 11:19:44 AM
No one has ever imagine beginning 2017 that we going to touch $2000...

This was a big surprise for me, I remember telling someone that bitcoin would only reach $2000 at the end of the year. Who could have imagined that it would reach $2000 so soon

Expected it to reach $2000 before July this year but woohoo the price made an unexpected record and almost all the exchanges passed the $2k barrier except the Chinese -$30 to go

Chinese exchanges lagging in the price is simply the impact of the bitcoin fake volume issue that got resolved months back causing a big price drop. Soon the price on the Chinese exchanges too will cross the barrier $2000 as the regulations on bitcoin withdrawal in China is going little liberal slowly.

Yes as expected +$2000 in all the exchanges now with bitfinex and gdax $2098-2099 meanwhile $2170 in okcoin!
What's going on in okcoin? Huge gap comparing to the other, it wasn't like that before crossing the $2k barrier

1690  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2,000 threshold reached on CoinMarketCap on: May 20, 2017, 10:14:19 AM

Looks pretty nice, doesn't it?  Grin

Looking to the exchanges i see only okcoin right now crossing the $2000 barrier, exactly $2010 and the majority of the other exchanges having a price between $1980-199x
I think today will be a historical day Wink
1691  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,800 HIT (Next goal is $1,900) on: May 19, 2017, 10:38:35 PM
And the title should be updated to $1,800 $1900 HIT (Next goal is $1,900 $2000)
BTW the price is approximately between $1960-1970 in most exchanges
1692  Economy / Speculation / Re: A price correction is happening now on: May 12, 2017, 08:57:53 PM
< $1000?

Wow, too optimistic out there, the duck has spoken  Tongue
Would say +$1500 in my opinion, not less than that
1693  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,800 HIT (Next goal is $1,900) on: May 12, 2017, 08:54:50 PM
Why $1900 when you can make your goal into $2000 price ? As we can see the price is getting increased often although it is dropping a bit in a while it still appear that it can recover so quickly . Nobody knows when this huge increase will end but for sure many people are hoping that after reaching $2000 they will start aiming for $3000 .

I would agree with you, $2000 goal shouldn't be hard to achieve before July even if the price dropped to $16xx for the moment. Another buying wave will take effect shortly in my opinion
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7.5 Billion People / 21 Million Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin For Every 357 People on: May 09, 2017, 06:09:41 AM
Once bitcoin will reach high prices and get an interesting number of users, people will make their deals with mBTC so often then with satoshis and so on...  Wink
1695  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,600 HIT (Next goal is $1,700) on: May 09, 2017, 06:02:12 AM
Whoever is the OP must not have updated the title of the thread, sadly. Next goal that I've set of 1700 myself could well be hit by the end of this week. Let's all see where this goes and HODL on Cheesy In the end only the HODL matters and nothing else.

Well it appears that some exchanges have already passed the $1700 barrier but it is not until now consolidating over it
The road to $2000 seems widely open this summer  Cheesy
1696  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-07]Litecoin Value Increases by 700% As Politics Still Prevent Bitcoin F on: May 07, 2017, 07:53:32 PM
But then again, why are we testing Segwit on Litecoin again? I understand that Litecoin block size limit hasn't been maximized not like bitcoin so I don't know why are they activating Segwit on it.
SegWit helps with transaction malleability.  Also, Litecoin has less to lose so it's nice to see a fairly similar coin to Bitcoin adopting SegWit.  If it works well, it'll help people to trust that SegWit works.

Maybe the article is correct on pointing that it is being used as testbed for bitcoin technology.
Yeah, pretty much.

I think Coinbase has been supporting Litecoin before so I don't think it contributed to the rise of price of Litecoin in the market.
False.  They've just started supporting Litecoin.  Before that, they only supported Bitcoin and Ether.

For coinbase, i confirm that they recently implemented Litecoin since I never saw it as an option before
In the other hand, why didn't I bought some shitcoins before? Should I buy now? Shit, the history will repeat itself?
1697  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,500 HIT (Next goal is $1,600) on: May 07, 2017, 07:44:41 PM
Wow! $1500 si now hit. I just want to asked because i don't know where would be the best exchanges that we can see the real price? Because in Poloniex $1600 break when bitcoin price still high. But i definitely not say that poloniex is the exchange that we would see the real price.

I don't think that there is for the moment a precise exchange that can give you an accurate price
Before i was looking in bitfinex then gdax then Bitstamp to take an idea. Back then the prices wasn't too far from each other but now the difference gap can be $100.
Just estimate the average price between the different exchanges
Personally I use GDAX and Bitstamp
1698  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-22]Billionaire Investor Has 10% of His Money in Bitcoin & Ether on: May 01, 2017, 07:30:50 PM
Investment in cryptocurrency? Without any credit rating from a top rating agency?
Unbelievable!

Oh, sorry, I leave out that he is FORMER hedge fund manager.

Everyone decides what to invest in. I, too, am ready to invest a large amount of money into the cryptocurrency. And not 10%, but more

He took the risk and he made right now a $100 pure profit in one day for every 1 bitcoin he has. Lucky guy... I want a time machine!
1699  Economy / Speculation / Re: [UPDATE] $1,400 HIT (Next goal is $1,500) on: May 01, 2017, 07:21:36 PM
Can someone explain to me

On https://bitcoinaverage.com/en/bitcoin-price/btc-to-usd => It shows USD 1416,96 at the moment.

But when I click on

https://bitcoinaverage.com/en/exchanges/gdax/btc-to-gbp => USD 1327,40
https://bitcoinaverage.com/en/exchanges/bitstamp/xrp-to-usd => USD 1390,81

So why is the above price higher then the only 2 exchanges bitcoinaverage has listed?

Bitcoinaverage is buggy though
Take a look on GDAX website, the price is $1458
Btw bitfinex +$1500 right now
Not sure anybody takes Finex seriously anymore, but anything is welcome. I reckon if we don't get dumped to oblivion we could get to 1500 by the end of the week. Good stuff, nobody could have predicted this!

I don't think that the bitcoin price in bitfinex is reliable for the moment but I feel it is kinda leading the other exchanges...somehow
Wouldn't also consider the Chinese exchanges as reliable but when its price increases, it is confortant. That's my opinion  Smiley
1700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can kwukduck ever recover from this? on: May 01, 2017, 03:47:54 PM
The price is rising so the duck turned to an ostrich

Until the price goes down so he will appears again talking about fundamental issues.  Wink
