wait, 1:1 isn't leverage. why'd you get liquidated? my broker, Fidelity, calls me the morning of when i'm in a margin call and warns me to cover it by the next days afternoon so i have a chance to get my acct in order.

must suck to get liquidated by a <18 yo. Sad

I think that's an excellent guess. Just like the US conference this will end up being temporary and the march downward will resume once the dust settles in the next few days.

wrong again. no two events work the same way. more likely, this conference will result in a sustained price rise beyond your expectations. the general economy indicates that as well.

Looks like a nice little pop in PMs also. It's almost like (some) people are seeking alternatives to fiat currency or something. I've had another bout of doing so just recently. Split between PMs and Bitcoin (with the bulk going toward the former of course.) I decided, as always, to avoid paper assets given how the digital numbers in accounts are so easily appropriated these days (ref, MF Global.)

i talk alot about this in my Blog but i ALSO see a generational move away from debt investing and more toward equity. this is the cognitive dissonance that keeps the stock mkt going up. everyone thinks everything is going to go to hell.
