16961  Economy / Economics / Re: My 21BTC Dream on: December 19, 2015, 03:32:32 AM
It's a really nice *plan*. But you're too eager, just think about mass adoption. There're billions of people and you want 1/1mil of the total coins, it won't be a good welth distribution.
Yeah, this is totally a valid point.  It's nice to have one millionth the total bitcoins in your wallet, but only one million people can do that in total--and we have billions of people in this world.  This is why price needs to be far, far higher than it is, where average folks could only dream of having 21 btc.  Now that's a bullish statement, eh?
16962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe BITCOIN in ONE word. on: December 19, 2015, 02:51:59 AM
Fascinating.

I don't have any other words to describe it.  Not a scam in and of itself.  Behaves like a stock sometimes, behaves like a currency other times.  I don't fully understand the mechanics behind it but I can't stop following it.
16963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling any one got cheated by house? on: December 19, 2015, 02:49:12 AM
In the crypto world, I am absolutely paranoid about getting scammed and I don't believe a word casino owners say about games being provably fair.  And yes, I know what provably fair means and I'm still paranoid as fuck.  I've never been cheated yet, but the night is still young.   Wink
16964  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Exchange please? on: December 19, 2015, 01:27:46 AM
It ain't gonna happen in a million years, kid.  You fucked up.  You scammed and your temper gets the better of you here as well.

If you want to start anew, just create a new account (I'm sure you have already) and don't scam with it.  Be a good boy and that's that.
16965  Economy / Economics / Re: Ok Coin , Huobi and other chin exchange..they are cheating all of us. on: December 19, 2015, 01:04:55 AM
Well I am paying an ever-increasing price for btc, so that's definitely real.

Yeah, it seems everything that comes out of China is fake.  It would not surprise me if your hypothesis were true, though it doesn't seem you have evidence for it.  It kinda reminds me of Mt. Gox right before they Goxxed.  In that case, though, the huge premium on Gox was b/c of the huge risk of trading there.  Nice, steady climb is what we need and go screw the bears.
16966  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm dumping my bitcoins so you should on: December 19, 2015, 12:04:03 AM
It belongs here, not the speculation section.

<snip

Comparing bitcoin capitalization with gold's is fucking ridiculous, too. Gold has got history of thousands of years and a lot of applications. Meanwhile Bitcoin is just a virtual asset that's been known for about 7 years and has got very poor applications. What is worse is that bitcoin is not really scalable.

<snip
I agree with this, and it's what I've been saying in other threads, that btc is a bitch to analyze because it's not a standard financial instrument.  I'm not so sure about the scalability though; I think there's enough to go around.

But I take it you lost money on bitcoin.  You have my sympathies, sir.
16967  Other / Meta / Re: Most annoying person on bitcointalk on: December 18, 2015, 10:50:27 PM
I like this topic quite a bit, but there should be another one along the lines of Annoying Folks on Bitcointalk.  It's hard to pick just one.  My new favorite is Ecardking, the dumbass who left me negative feedback for no reason and he keeps calling me a dirty Indian.  It's so annoying when people I've never dealt with do that.
16968  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ecardking << CHEAPEST GIFT CARD SHOP FOR BTC on: December 18, 2015, 10:47:00 PM
Dude, you're a dishonest asshole as evidenced by the unwarranted feedback you gave me and your accusations against me of being Indian.  I am not, sir, I assure you.
16969  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy going GOX? on: December 18, 2015, 10:25:50 PM
I'm hoping they don't Gox, but I can't fathom them doing much business after this.  They've lost the confidence of a huge number of their customers, and how do you recover from that?  And it's not like they let everyone know what's going on--what they did was to let rumors fester.  I'm not sure they're trying to steal money, but it'd be nice if they communicated about whatever problems they're having.  It's sad, really.  I used them for a few months and they were good.
16970  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: December 18, 2015, 09:52:23 PM
I buy basically when I have extra money, which is a couple times a month.  Slow accumulation is the way to go for me.  I'm of the belief that no one can time the market, so I don't try to buy at the bottom or sell at the top.  It's never worked for me before in the stock market, so my take is that bitcoin is no different.
16971  Economy / Reputation / Re: WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!!! on: December 18, 2015, 08:49:03 PM
Lol magnesium,  I almost.feel sorry for you but I had to laugh at your -64 red trust.  Quite a change from yesterday,  but sometimes when a scam is going on, a negative feedback gangbang ensues.  Doubt you'll recover from this.
16972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you buy on bitcoin black Friday? on: December 18, 2015, 04:18:30 AM
I bought absolutely nothing with bitcoin.  I don't own a lot of it and so what I do have, I want to hold on to.

This is what drives me nuts about btc--the deflationary character of it discourages the spending of it.  It's the same reason why I never like to sell stocks.  As soon as I do, the price usually goes up and I miss out.  So for now I'm going to keep accumulating.  Maybe next Christmas I'll have enough so that I'll be able to spend some.  I'll buy this forum a fucking beer.
16973  Economy / Services / Re: Serious Moderator on: December 18, 2015, 04:07:41 AM
Stop wasting your time here. No one is going to make a newbie mod for any kind of activities. If you're hinting at becoming the forum mod, dream on. It will take around 5+ years from today if your account survives with great support to the community. That being said, lock the thread to avoid incoming massive shots of sarcastic comments.
This. I think even if you have great experience as a mod and would do a great job, all the mod positions here are taken.  Why do you want to be one here anyway?  You know this isn't a gambling site, right?
You obviously dont read the OP at all when you post. He updated a long time back that he wants to be a mod on a gambling site.
I absolutely read what OP wrote and did see his update.  What am I missing here?  He wants to be a moderator of a gambling site, and thus I wrote what I wrote here in bold.  If you can tell me what I did wrong, fine.  If not, go fuck yourself.
16974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price cycles on: December 18, 2015, 04:04:18 AM
The price cannot be predicted. Only the major adoption news of bitcoin will increase the price. Nothing else.
I agree with this x infinity.  Bitcoin is not a stock that can be analyzed like a stock--though technical analysis believers think this is true.  Only if and until there is widespread adoption of bitcoin will the price 1) rise and 2) stabilize.  Everything else is just a bubble, and that can happen too.

It's a nice analysis you did, but I'm not sure how true it's going to turn out to be.
16975  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: 1-3 years Aged YouTube accounts for sale on: December 18, 2015, 04:00:35 AM
Just wondering, why would anyone want these accounts?

What can they do with them? Are they really worth 0.02 btc?
I was wondering the same thing, and I'm not sure there is any value to be had with an old account.  I think the fact that this turd's thread is so old and he's had no visible offers speaks volumes.

Dude, erase your old bumps out of courtesy.  Please.
16976  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Any one try bloombtc? on: December 18, 2015, 03:57:29 AM
You don't even need to visit the website to know it's a scam, and I'd bet that OP is a shill as well.  Anytime you're promised hourly returns, it's a Ponzi or some other nefarious scheme that needs to be stayed away from.  Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but this forum does tend to foster such a feeling.   Tongue
16977  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: December 18, 2015, 03:48:25 AM
Women might not be bright enough to use Bitcoin. I'm basing it on the fact that that they are willing to allow men to spray something in them that will make them sick for nine months then commit the next 18 years of their lives to destitute servitude. That doesn't sound too bright to me.
Lol how true.

But seriously, I don't know anyone in real life who actually owns bitcoin, much less a female.  This whole shebang seems to be a giant boys' club.  Is this how the cavemen did it?
16978  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Never trust an online wallet, for those who don't know on: December 18, 2015, 03:43:34 AM
<snip>
I dont like using blockchain as it has a high transaction fees.
and it takes so long... and also blockchain is always down. thats what i dont like
with it. and yeah.. even in coinbase i can use 2fa and even cp verification in every transaction.
so i think its still safe. but thanks for the information.
Yeah, you got that right, and that's one of the reasons why I don't use that anymore.  I use the moon faucets pretty frequently and so I have a Xapo wallet, but I transfer the btc as soon as it reaches a few cents worth.  I trust them as far as I can throw them.

Mycelium is the only wallet I really use and it's been good so far.  I don't claim to be an expert on btc, but you have the private keys with them, right?
16979  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will halving affect the value? on: December 18, 2015, 03:39:06 AM
This is what I don't understand, and I've posted this in another thread about the same thing:  I think the price of bitcoin already reflects the halving.  It's not a surprise, and so there should be no reaction to it once it happens.

Does that make sense?  I'm not a huge believer in the efficient market hypothesis, but I think it should be true for this.
16980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you play loteries ,did you won something on: December 18, 2015, 03:36:48 AM
I fucking can't stand lotteries, but I'm not much of a gambler to begin with.  I don't trust bitcoin gambling sites, even if they say they're provably fair.  And as far as real life, I think I played Powerball a few times several years ago.  I did have fun but won no money whatsoever and I haven't felt the urge to do that again.  Maybe I will.  I'd probably be a degenerate gambling addict if I actually won something, but I never do!!
