1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: June 30, 2016, 12:06:37 PM
Definitely not something I would suggest for kids to get involved in, you just have to look at the struggle that some adults face when they become too addicted, kids are too young to understand the concept of win and loss and the true value of money never mind the fact that their brains are still developing and are easily influenced.

I would leave the gambling to the adults.
1702  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Want to send BTC anonymously? Use this btc tumble site! on: June 30, 2016, 11:41:14 AM
I think there are other sites that have been around for a bit longer that offer this service and have a trusted reputation, bitmixer for example, good luck trying this elsewhere!
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What alt is the next best thing? on: June 29, 2016, 11:37:46 AM
Now that the dao and ethereum have taken a serious knockback after what looked like almost a crypto takeover who do you all think the new kid on the block is going to be? Whos mining what and what coin do you see as having the biggest potential?

It seems to me that for now the only coin worth having is bitcoin, Any other coins out there that aren't shitcoins?
I would say one to watch this year is Loyyal, it is a rewards coin and has some pretty impressive partners and people joining their board
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1508111.0

It is a re-branding from RBR (ribbitrewards) which are still available to buy now, but as to how RBR will exchange to Loyyal once it is released on a new chain is unknown but definitely one to watch.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BRXT] Brexitcoin | scrypt | MINEABLE | BREXIT COIN LAUNCH | 15% PRE-MINE on: June 29, 2016, 11:33:29 AM
Haha I was thinking that we might see a lot of coins coming out like this, now if we have other countries leaving the EU expect Nexit, Bexit, Italexit and so on, good luck with this coin but I vote to exit and leave it to you guys Smiley
1705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who next do you think gonna run away with people BTC on: June 29, 2016, 09:20:22 AM
Regarding the cloud mining sites, pretty much anything that has been setup recently or any new so called cloud mining sites will no doubt be a scam and will make some money from those new to the scene attracted by their fake ROI.

Genesis mining myself anyway I have made my ROI as I signed up with them a long time ago and took up their X11 contract, expires in November so anything else from it is just a bonus, but as of now I would not put anything further into it or any other mining company.

Outside of the cloud mining, the obvious scam will be the HYIP ponzi sites and a good portion of new coin ICOs.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling get you into Bitcoin or did Bitcoin get you into gambling? on: June 29, 2016, 08:39:20 AM
I am just curios how it started for you....

Did gambling get you into Bitcoin? Or did Bitcoin get you into gambling?

For me it was neither, I used to already gamble here and there before bitcoin.  Bitcoin caught my eye back when it was going towards it's highest price and it was on the news quite a lot.

1707  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Question -- Why are people buying member accounts? on: June 29, 2016, 08:36:41 AM
Ok thanks everyone!

What are signature campaigns?

I would have thought signature campaigns were well known to anyone who spends a lot of time in the forum looking around, I would say these campaigns and scamming people are the top reasons for somebody to buy an account, otherwise they would quite happily spend time working up the ranks.
1708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legality of Bitcoin Gambling on: June 28, 2016, 11:57:48 AM
Seems in the UK the bitcoin sites will need to apply and be granted a gambling license, sites such as cloudbet etc do not allow signups from people residing in the UK.
1709  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: June 28, 2016, 11:49:50 AM
Haha, if it ever got close to that price I think the majority of people would get shaky along the way up and already have sold their bitcoin unless you are really in for the ride.
1710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which country will be next to alight from the sinking EU ship? on: June 28, 2016, 09:15:01 AM
Whichever country it is they better do it quickly whilst they can Smiley

1711  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have u ever used Bitcoin while drunk or on other drugz? on: June 28, 2016, 08:04:38 AM
Not the best idea when drunk, many questionable trades have happened, end up moving from one coin to another only to see the first coin shoot up in price, so no more bitcoin world when I am drinking, it should be saved for a clear mind Smiley
1712  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: June 28, 2016, 07:32:36 AM
This is a good question, I have always thought it to be between 20 - 40ish age range but then kids nowadays are even more into tech then we ever were as it is more readily available, for example gaming is a huge domain where I think a lot of the younger ones will come across bitcoin as it is related in a sense technology being technology.
1713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Price will stay at 654.54$ this June to July on: June 28, 2016, 07:28:12 AM
I agree, the price might increase another $200 for the halving and then fall back down to where we are now for a while before going back up to the halving price for the end of the year.

Just pure speculation but I can see that with the EU in the state it is right now other countries might think it time to leave and then currencies will be all over the place, bitcoin could be the average person's way out.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have u ever received BTC accidentally or randomly? on: June 27, 2016, 03:50:57 PM
There was a thread recently that someone put up, they received an amount and was trying to find out who the sender was so they could notify them and send it back.

I think it is the decent thing to do in the first instance making public the address it came from and txid in the hopes that someone searches for their address to see if they can find their missing bitcoin, then if you cannot find the person at least you tried, it could be that persons last penny, you never know their situation and although they should have double checked the address accidents can happen.

Then if you can't locate them it's down to you what to do with it.
1715  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which bitcoin trading platform is easy and reliable on: June 27, 2016, 11:53:20 AM
Bittrex is one of the most reliable exchanges I would say, I have rarely heard of any issues with them and they have a decent enough volume and choice of coins.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favourite Altcoin? on: June 27, 2016, 09:48:52 AM
Loyyal is my current favorite or maybe not favorite but the one I am most interested right now, along with BRK at a close second.

Loyyal because it has been in the works for a while (it is a rebrand from ribbitrewards) and they have got some pretty good people on board and if it all works out then this could be huge, there is one major thing which is uncertain and that's how the swap from ribbitrewards to Loyyal will work, will it be 1 for 1 or something else.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1508111.0

BRK - Breakout Coin, mainly because I like Poker and I have been testing their new poker platform and it is simply great, outside of Breakout Coin and their Poker platform there are a ton of other things happening, again if this all goes well it could be rather nice.

1717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mainstream media is reporting on Bitcoin UP while stocks and fiats go down on: June 24, 2016, 01:07:51 PM
This is an ideal time for bitcoin to show it's worth and the Mirror is one of those papers that a lot of people will read in the UK.
It would be great if there was a a quick footnote in these type of articles to direct people on how to get some bitcoin, such as "to get your first bitcoin you can register at Coinbase ( or whatever exchange they feel fit )"
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is online gambling legal in your country? on: June 24, 2016, 01:03:05 PM
Gambling is legal and needs to be licensed in the UK as far as I know, there are multiple bookmaker stores around the UK and also online.

Bitcoin sites however seem to be quite scarce as they need to apply for a license to be able to operate within the UK, most of the sites you find mentioned in the forum do not allow signups from those based in the UK, although if you are so inclined you can get around that but as a rule they are not open to UK residents.
1719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin is best to invest in for future prospects ? on: June 24, 2016, 08:11:37 AM
it is all a risk at the end of the day I wouldn't go as far to say any altcoin is a "safe" investment.
One I have been looking at over the last couple of months is Loyyal, it is a rebrand from Ribbitrewards and has picked up a lot of good press and offers something a little different from the standard altcoin, might be worth your time having a look https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1508111.0
1720  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: June 23, 2016, 06:39:55 AM
It is always a good idea to buy bitcoin when you can.  The risks, you could lose some money but highly unlikely that you will lose all of your money, if you take a look over the last month we have seen a nice rise but then just over the last 24 hours we have seen a drop so just be prepared and don't panic sell if you see a drop because at some point it will go back up.

The way it looks right now we could maybe see it dropping a bit further down to the £300 mark but that's just guessing, you decide the right time to buy and buckle yourself in Grin
