~All Casascius coins were paid in bitcoins -- no matter how much BTC/USD was at the time. This has resulted in pretty high premiums in general, fiat-wise.
I expect Casascius coins to hold a significant "base premium" BTC-wise regardless of BTC/USD. We've seen this already: premiums have been relatively steady even when BTC/USD has moved 20x up.
Premiums have been steady, in BTC terms? I am not sure if that is what you mean, but if so, no. Cas silvers went for 3-4 btc in 2014, 2011 errors same. Now, half that at best.

You painted these? Quite good!

I always looked at the premium in USD. I bought most of my Cas corns from 2014-15. When I did I would buy the equivalent premium in digital BTC. For example, I bought this corn when btc was around 400 usd, at the same time I bought 600 usd in digital btc via those lizard people at Coinbase. In dollar terms, premiums have grown quite a bit. I would argue that dollar terms are clearly the way to view premiums.

Hi, I'm looking to buy some Casascius coins that have documented history. Does anyone have any advice on how to find these? I'm concerned about forgeries, especially after hyperbitcoinization Thanks in advance for any advice. -HODLer ps - really fun being back on bitcointalk. last time I was here was 2013, to-the-moon-guy was posting frequently and someone was organizing a big party for when BTC hit $1k tothemoonguy was on reddit not here, no? Welcome back either way. Best suggestion I can give you is to buy from reputable sellers and use escrow. In that regard, pretty much the same as back in 2013 though the values in USD are higher.

I have sent you a PM about a potential trade, not sure how I even feel about it. I figured I would put it out there though and see if it's something we can agree on. I've had my feelers out for Samsara for a couple months, haven't seen one for a good price, so I've been hesitant.
If you'd prefer no trades, then let me know and I might be willing to negotiate for good ole' BTC.
My only concern, is that if the capsule arrived cracked, is there any marking/damage on the coin from whatever caused the case to crack? Anymore info regarding the incident?
I have sent you a PM about your potential trade. I like the idea of the silver BP roll but I can’t allow myself to trade this beautiful coin with all its special detailing. I agree that the BP roll is truly spectacular, I am a big fan of BP, but I just don’t think it is something that I can do right now. You must see the samsara in person to see it’s true beauty. It’s like watching the northern lights from on top of Mount Everest only in a coin. I know that you have been looking for a Samsara for a while and how lucky you must be to see 2 listed for sale on this bitcointalk forum. I think that the price here is very good but make me an offer and we can see if we can work something out together. The story of the broken capsule will forever remain a mystery. I suspect the elves in the post office did it as I received it that way when the I rode my unicorn to collect it (my local collection office has revelry closed). The coin is in mint condition though. As mint as a a fresh plate of bolognese that is served fresh in the farmers market. Sounds delicious.

Hi there, great to see this post here in the Collectibles section of Bitcointalk.org. The Sol Noctis is a lovely coin, quite splendid really. I particularly like that the feathers of the bird are entirely made of 1's and 0's. Today in Thursday, I like Thursdays. I am thinking Lasagne for supper. Regarding the topic at hand, I have a beautiful example of the Sol Noctis Binary Eagle in my sales thread here (Item #6): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5046428.0
