1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 19, 2022, 09:55:02 PM
Atletico Madrid were not weak opponents. Also, at the home, Atlético Madrid is always strong. Even then, Carlo Ancelotti took the risk. And he rested Benzema and put his faith in the younger players. And the young players did not disappoint Ancelotti. They managed to earn full points. Real Madrid won 2-1 with goals from Rodrygo and Valverde despite Vinicius not scoring.
Real Madrid was able to prove that they were able to maintain a positive trend in 6 weeks, previously Atletico Madrid wanted to end Real Madrid's positive trend at home, but in fact they were not too strong to beat Real Madrid.
Ancelotti did not risk resting Benzema, but the player suffered a knee problem against Celtic the previous week in the Champions League, which forced Benzema to rest in the Derby match, even in the match against Celtic Benzema was forced to come off in the 30th minute and was replaced by Eden Hazard.
Real Madrid is a team I respect so much, their quality and ability to win tough games against top class opponents really baffles me and Atletico Madrid were definitely wrong to think they could end Real Madrid's 6 weeks streak, Atletico Madrid did put up a tough fight but Real Madrid will always find a way to win games and that is what I admire most about Real Madrid.

Liverpool are in a really bad shape at the moment, for quite some years you barely see Liverpool losing thus amount of games at the beginning stages of the league but this time it is a  totally different scenerio, I bet no one expected to see Liverpool drop drastically in form this season even Nunez is not performing as expected joint with series of injury cases in the team.

If you read Satoshi’s posts on bitcointalk, you will find that the user made posts in British English and American English. This post is not sufficient proof to support Satoshi is British, if so then the name Satoshi Nakatomo could be used as a factor to say Satoshi is Japanese. I think Satoshi covered his tracks well, we have never know who’s the real Satoshi Nakamoto and his identity shouldn’t be important.

The coach has to do what's right for the club in terms of fitness and appropriate selection. When he starts scoring then it'll all be on the winger's to sit tight, benching Ronaldo is way useless

Manager has to do the right thing for the team and ten Haag is doing that for the team. He is measuring players equally based on what kind of performance a player puts on the team. That requires guts which earlier managers didn't had. I don't think they will bench Ronaldo completely as they are out of attacking options and I think ten Haag plans is to use him as a striker in attacks at later stage maybe a bit with change in attacking strategy so I think somewhere there is a role for Ronaldo still. The thing is how Ronaldo is handling this situation as he obviously want to start and complete the game but manager always wants the best for the team and so at the moment he is not in starting picture right now.
Erik Ten Hag has been able to transform the team mentally, physically and tactically. He has also been able to help improve some of the players who have been performing poorly, players like Darlot, Rashford and Fernandez have been playing alot better in the past 4 games so are commend Ten Hag's efforts. Ronaldo's situation I believe is just for the main time and in a short time everything will fall in place and he will get back his position in the starting eleven.

De Jong is playing very well right now. I think the reason why he didn't leave Barca was because of his love. This could be an expression of his love for Barcelona. Also, if he goes to Manchester United  at this point, it will take him a long time to adapt and there are doubts whether he can play in the first XI. These are my personal opinions.
I agree that De Jong has love for the club and that will be the fundamental reason why he decided not to leave in the summer, he wants to play for the club but wants his wages owed to be paid, in my opinion it was a wise opinion to stay back at the club where he already build a fan base and good relationship with the players and coaching staff already. THere he feels at home and will play better.

Ronaldo doesn't really have a "price", because it changes from club to club at this stage of his career. He is not the type of player who would be fine about going to Qatar or some Saudi team or whatever middle east rich persons team, or MLS, like Zlatan and Beckham did and earned a ton of money. If that was the case, I am sure you could find a team that is willing to pay 50 million for him and 50 million to him for 5 years, just look at Iniesta and how insane he is getting paid.

So long story short, that 20 million could very well become zero for the right team or fifty million for another, it all based on which team, he is not young anymore so his value is not known.
At this stage in illustrious Ronaldo's career his market value is very small shouldn't be more than £20m, but that aside I also that see Ronaldo as a player who will be open to move outside Europe. Ronaldo is a very ambitious player, someone who loves to be under the spot light, he wants to be noticed so going to Saudi Arabia will be like hiding away from the spotlight. Ronaldo can still be signed by a team for a bigger value like we see in some transfers where players are bought for value bigger than their initial valuation.

Bayern Munich will soon realize that it is not easy to replace a world class striker. Bayern NEED a replacement for Lewandowski ! Not necessarily at Lewandowski's level but at least someone who still represents a high level and understands the role of a striker. Why not bring Harry Kane? He would suit Bayern in my opinion.

I don't think Spurs will let him go unless they go big on for Kane. Kane is crucial for Spurs and to get him from Spurs will require lot of negotiations and convincing. Remember when Kane was unhappy with Spurs situation couple of seasons ago, City made a bid of around 120m/130m mark (don't recall clearly but was definitely above 100m mark) and that was denied by Spurs. So unless Bayern make a really big offer I don't think Spurs will let Kane go. Furthermore, convincing Kane is also another issue.
Sadio Mane plays much better when playing from the wings and has been playing as a striker for Bayern Munich this season, I also think it would be better if Bayern are able to get a natural 9 who will take that position it will be much better and even make room for Mane to play from his preferred position. It will take a lot of convincing for Harry Kane to make a move to Bayern, might even cost them up to £100m for the transfer.

Although some things show that the previous coach Thomas Tuchel was more experienced than Graham Potter who is currently the new Chelsea coach, we still haven't seen how Potter's strategy with Chelsea will be and it's not impossible in the remaining 4 match we can see something new from Chelsea.
At least Chelsea have 4 match left before deciding where they will go, so there is still a chance. After all, of the several clubs competing in group E, only Milan looks tougher than the others. So maybe it won't be too difficult for Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel is a more experienced coach than Graham Potter, he is used to coaching big clubs and big players. Graham Potter isn't as experienced as Tuchel, I don't think he has even coached any big team in his career, I doubt he can improve the squad from it's currently declining state. Chelsea fans have no choice but pray Graham Potter can pick up from where Tuchel stopped for Chelsea and improve the squad and return to winning games.

Chelsea will exit from the group stage without getting to the next round because it looks as if they were not prepared for the Champions league this season, and despite the quality players that they signed, they are still unable to show people that they worth the money,so far,it's only Sterling that has showed that he is worth the money spent on him, because his getting goals.

I think the team is just struggling at the main time and it happens to every team once in a while so let us not be so quick to write them off already. They need a little more time, they have a new manager now who hopefully will help improve the squad and bring in new ideas and new strategies to winning games, I believe we will see the impact of these changes in the team very soon. They will come back stronger.

Ronaldo's market value has decreased by 10 million to become 20 million euros in three months.

The main reason should be his not having much chance after starting to do his best to leave Manchester United. He hasn't played properly in the starting eleven for some time until the Europa League matches. I still don't expect him to be in the starting eleven in their next Premier League match. Actually his market value would still decrease slowly because of his age above all else. But his ineffective performance is helping his value to be lower quickly. Depending on his recent performance he has a less chance to find himself a club that is in the Champions League. So he needs to show a better performance to help Manchester United be a part of it next season.
Ronaldo is aged already and their is just little impact I would be expecting from him at this time of his career because he has just a few years left to play at top flight before retiring. According to Erik Ten Hag, Ronaldo is struggling with fitness at the moment which is normal,  I am also not expecting him in the starting line up in the next game so it is only normal to see his valuation drop at this stage of his career.

Manchester City are a lot stronger, fierce and organized now, I must commend Guardiola's for his keen sight for talent. I think he has hit the jackpot this time with Erling Haaland signing in the summer. Pep has got a real Champion squad this season and they have been very impressive especially Haaland who is currently scoring goals for fun and running through defenses. I see Manchester City as favourites to win the league this season and possibly win the champions league trophy as well.

It baffles me to hear James Rodriguez a talented young player was playing his football in an Arab league, a league synonymous as a place of retirement for players who had reached the peak of their career, he couldn't get a regular playing time in Real Madrid because of the club was star-studded, thereafter Rodriguez brief stinct at Everton couldn't yield any positive improvement in his career neither after Carlos Ancelotti signed him, I hope his return to Greek league with Olympiacos and team up with Marcelo his former teammate and possibly rekindle or revive his dwindling footballing career and get a better chances or offer to play in a big league he is a player I admired alot.
Playing in the Arab league doesn't mean a player is not good enough, I see it as an opportunity and when opportunities like this comes knocking at the right time you just have to take it. James Rodriguez is a talented player although he has struggled in recent seasons from not finding favour in Madrid to making a move to Everton which he had an impressive start playing for Everton but wasn't so lucky to have made a good mark in the team and in the league but this is a good opportunity for him to revive his career and I just have to wish him luck taking on this new challenge.

People are saying now that Manchester city are too reliant on haaland, what if he got injured, they wont do well again, am surprised why in football people has short memories, this same city has won the premier League three times in four years, they last reach the champions just last year and they have been scoring goals for fun before now,is shocking when people say bad words about this wonderful club under pep gaudiola, I just believe haaland will improve them even more.
I also believe Manchester City have been reliant on Haaland, he is a natural goal scorer, and has been outstanding this season. He comes to the rescue every time they face a tough opponent and it seems now that without Haaland Manchester City could lose some games they have come back to win because of the exceptional strikes from Haaland. Manchester City have really improved since Haaland's arrival.

Costa will be felt during the weekend displays against Manchester City. He was a deadly weapon for Chelsea not until Antonio Conte forcefully asked for him to leave privately through text. Poor from Chelsea management to let go of him though.

The English Premier League is getting more interesting and tougher with the new players that the clubs are signing and with the arrival of Diego Costa to Wolves, it's going to be a war this weekend because Diego Costa is one striker that keeps defenders awake till the referee blows the final whistle in a match. Wolves playing against Manchester City is going to be an interesting match to watch because one-man squad Costa is going to be in the game and we are going to see a war between him and defenders as he's known right from when he was playing for Chelsea as a radical striker that makes use of every given opportunity to score. About his exit to Chelsea, I think he was not in terms with the then-Chelsea coach Antonio Conte I believe his relationship with the man made him work away.
I don’t think that Diego Costa will still have that energy to be problematic with defenders in the English Premier league. Definitely he will keep defenders active in the game at all time. Wolves have got a good striker on their team. Wolves playing against Manchester city is going to be an interesting game and Diego Costa will surely be the man all eyes will be on to see how well he would perform.

The race to sign Rafael Leao is getting more serious as it seems. Manchester City are also rumoured to be after him from now on. Chelsea have already been after him for a long time but Milan haven't been leaning towards selling him yet. These teams will most probably need to pay more than 100 million euros to have a chance of signing him. I don't expect any transfer to happen in January but it will be difficult for Milan to keep him in the summer. Especially Manchester City's interest might cause Leao to want to leave the team to join them.

Rafael Leao is one of Milan's young stars since his arrival from Lille a few seasons ago
But something was different last season, where Leao had an influential role in replacing Ibrahimovic behind Milan's success in winning back the Serie A title with 11 goals and 8 assists from a total of 34 appearances.
I'm sure it's 100 million euros for this young player, but I don't think Milan will let him go unless it's confirmed that Ibrahimovic will be ready to play in the middle of the season.
Rafael Leao has been the name most sports platforms have been talking about recently, although I don't know how true this speculations are for now but he is a talented player with prospects of becoming a world class player in the future and that is why Ac Milan are placing such a huge amount on him. If Manchester city are interested then I am counting on them to be top contenders for Rafael.

Tottenham Hotspurs seems to be struggling creating chances while the star players aren't performing as expected. With Son and Kane not being as effective as they usually are. They have gotten into one of the easiest group in the Champions League and I was expecting them to be topping the group but with their loss to Sporting, they are 2nd at the moment.
Honestly Spurs was never a good team, they had that one good year and everyone expects them to do the same thing over and over again whereas they are not really good at all. Look at how many cups they won, how many domestic and international ones, look at how many league titles they have. This is a cupless team that never won anything and this puts something your DNA, you get used to not winning anything and that is why they keep on losing all the time and feel okay about it since that is all they know.

Look at most teams, they have a player that won something at least once, and that is how you gain leadership and the more you win, even if players retire or transfer you still have some left in your club.
It will be disappointing that Spurs will not qualify past the group stages of the champions league this season. I expected a win against Sporting to give them a lead and upper hand in their group but they conceded a defeat instead which was very poor. It's no surprise to me though Spurs have had zero trophies in the past years so getting no silverware this year is nothing new.

True, Barcelona had prepared a lawsuit against Atletico Madrid for Griezmann's condition, Barcelona demanded an immediate payment of €40 million. But after Griezmann has played at least 60 minutes for Atletico Madrid this season, Griezmann will soon become a permanent player for Atletico Madrid. Now that Barcelona and Atletico have reached a very close agreement, Barcelona will receive €25 million from the sale of Griezmann.
Antoine Griezmann just causing controversies with the two club. If Athletico madrid had retain him when he wanted to push a move to barça, all these wouldn't have happened. Diego simeon using him in games and Antoine might play more than 60minutes time coming because the boss really wants him to even start games for them. Barcelona sueing athletico, will soon be executed and if athletico madrid value the Frenchman, they should pay barça off and stop all the tendering problems and argument.
This is a business, who can set the strategy then he makes a profit. This may sound the same as the previous Lukaku and Pogba although there are slight differences but the point is still going in the same direction Cheesy
Hopefully with this Barcelona can make a better strategy with the transfer of players because in this case it is clear to say that their loss is definitely a loss.
This isn't Antoine Griezmann's fault in any way, both teams have a deal and are expected to hold up their bargains, Barcelona tried to play a fast one on Atletico Madrid and the club have been playing a smart one too to get the best advantage from the deal which seems to have offended Barcelona. Diego Simeon has been playing Antoine Griezmann as a substitute after 60minutes which should help Atletico Madrid over come paying that much money for the deal.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 14, 2022, 09:12:46 PM

I don't think that Arsenal will be able to hold on to their performance until the end of the season because they don't have that much squad depth. Manchester City really lacked a lethal striker for the last few seasons after Sergio Aguero left. But now as they have bought Erling Haaland, they will really try to push for the Champions League title which they have been wanting to win for the first seasons but were unable to do so.

So far Haaland has shown what he is capable of as he scored 10 goals in only 6 matches. So far Chelsea and Liverpool have been playing their game this season so Manchester City might have a really good opportunity to grab this and be the best team in England and possibly Europe.
If for any reason Arsenal will be unable to maintain this form to the end of the season it will be because of the lack in squad depth cause the players have the spirit and zeal to fight hard and win games, they have showed a lot of improvement in their performances and I think if the club is unable to bring in new signings to support the ones they have already the available ones will burn off and suffer fatigue.

Good news for all Barcelona fans - Gavi has finally agreed to a contract extension. The new one is valid until the summer of 2026.
The release clause is now an already standardized 1 billion euros - and is becoming totally pointless.

Gavi is one of the most promising youngsters around and Barca's board will be thrilled to have finally got this done and signed.

Gavi who is still 18 years old is a valuable asset owned by Barcelona, what Barcelona did by moving quickly to extend Gavi's contract until 2026
was very precise. Because Gavi's excellent performance with Barcelona made Liverpool interested in signing Gavi. Seeing that there was interest
from other teams, Barcelona immediately extended Gavi's contract, now Gavi is under contract with Barcelona until 2026. Gavi in his new contract
with Barcelona was given a salary increase too, so that Gavi did not think about moving to another club. Knowing that Gavi has extended his contract
with Barcelona, this must have made Liverpool who had been eyeing Gavi disappointed. This means that Liverpool have to look for other alternative
players, because if they are forced to buy Gavi, Gavi's release clause value is very high.
Gavi's performance for Barcelona have been superb and at the young age of 18 he is already catching the eyes of the world, I can boldly say that he has a lot of potential and with the right environment and management he will grow to be one of the best attacking midfielders in the world. Barcelona have a gem in their hands and shouldn't lose him as he will grow to be an important player for Barcelona in the future.
