Just an update on Mintpal voting https://www.mintpal.com/voting#NLG

Monday morning - votes = 1915
Tuesday morning - votes = 1970
Wednesday (missed the number)
Thursday morning - votes = 1950

Someone here is voting for us with a bot...... and we are being penalised for that. We've lost an estimated 120 or more votes.

Not only that, we're dropping in the rankings. Currently we're 70 - we were 68 previously. This isn't only due to the bot-votes removal, but because other coins come along, and vote stronger than we do!

This needs to be a constant community push by everyone.

We can do this Smiley

I don't think it was bot votes we got, I think it might of been someone with 2 or more accounts on mintpal voting for us so it was coming from same IP/machine, real bot farmers cycle IP addresses so the real cheating coins don't get picked up. Read this thread I found.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=639308.0

From the looks of things as a community we will need to mail Mintpal directly and get onto the exchange when the time is right for the coin. They sometimes list coins that go the extra mile but according

to the mintpalbot dude he says you have to give them btc to be added straight away.

Lets see what swisscex is doing with there exchange on Saturday, it might be a good upgrade to bring more volume and even though Mintpal has more volumes I actually trust swisscex more.

English wiki also online now Cool https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guldencoin

Network hashrate now about 460 Mhash/s. (Was 514 for a while). Diff is now 15+.

Damn you guys are working fast! Awesome that we on the English Wiki too.

The coin is growing slow and steady and that is evident with more miners slowly coming and mining for future growth as we not the most profitable coin to mine right now.

1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBECOIN PRICE CRASHING! DEVELOPER DUMPED ALL HIS COINS? loq abandoned shibe? on: June 01, 2014, 02:59:31 AM
Guys I have had my fair share of buying shitcoins at one stage, I finally found a coin that is actually making progress without shouting it's mouth off to the world. You can take a look if your interested.
I know the feeling of backing a coin where the dev abandons it and it's a pretty sinking one.

As a community we should start getting behind coins that are promoting cryptos, not coins that just are "innovating" the block chain. At the end of the day currencies are simple, money is simple. It's not about building a rocket to the moon.

About our new website

It isn't finished. And by that we mean its never finished because we will keep updating it, with content and support topics. We will listen to your feedback and keep improving. A lot of stuff will be added in the coming weeks.

Support Rewards Program

Also we will launch our "Support Rewards Program" effective immediately. What does this mean? Every well written support article will be rewarded with 5000 NLG. Subjects could be how the mobile wallet works or how to mine. Anything that can help the community. These articles will be published on the official site with credits (or anonymous, its up to you).
And thats not all, multi language articles (dutch and english) will be rewarded an extra 1000 NLG.

Damn the new website is so classy, great job to the web designer!! Wasn't expecting a complete new look. Smiley

+1
Besides the homepage being a massive overhaul in the positive direction,
I also noticed 1100 Dutch people have claimed rewards, this my friends goes to show what a honest team this is. There was a certain other coin claiming that over 45 000 people which is impossible. The crypto community is very small and it just shows how much room this coin has to grow still. Exciting and scary at the same time!

100% agree with Tami here!!

This new website is a lot better introduction to first time users. This coin is really showing great value, hidden gem indeed.

I have been told that the new website changes will be going live tomorrow. Smiley Looking fwd to seeing the update!

So it's a update to the current homepage then?

Is there a price point the NLG team is aiming for with the coin as in Euro value?

I would say if NLG is at 350-450 with btc price going up, I would be more then happy with that. Subway sandwiches will become 5-8 times cheaper. Wink When you holding fiat the prices only go up...

Hmm, better 2.20371 NLG vs 1 Euro... as before. Then your sandwich is becoming verrrry cheap, what? you can buy your favourite subway along with your sandwich.  Grin
No joke, why would 350 be a good price?

I think 350 - 450 is a good price because it's good for a large supply coin in the short term and I think with bitcoin price going up it will increase both ways in value.

I have no idea what this team plans to do with the coin and what the end result will be.

To go over to positive again and a message to all of us, don't get divided and stay positive!

We are going to put stickers on Euro's to get awareness and also other "scan-me"-stickers.

Those scan-me stickers we place at busy centers and where people have to wait for a while.
When scanned, they can see a message, "De gulden is terug in digitale vorm. Wilt u meer weten? Ga dan naar http://guldencoin.nl"

Translate: "De Guilder is back in digital form. Want to know more? Go to http://guldencoin.nl".

If some of you have ideas as well join us on: http://guldencoinforum.com/index.php

I think that's a great way of marketing!

Once these Euro's have been released, I think they will be spread quite fast.

That is wicked!!! Lovely job.

People lost a over 1000% on EFL so I can imagine they want to do fake pumps to try get suckers to buy some of there crap and at the same time push NLG price down to make EFL look good.
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — NEW MERCHANT IN AMSTERDAM'S CITY CENTER on: May 24, 2014, 04:18:32 PM
Really nice to join coin-swap I can do some nice trades there.
And now we have some merchants who accept the coin to.
We only need a price increase, so next time im in Amsterdam i could buy some snacks with my coins!

I think if the team come out with more updates within the next 2 weeks then we know this is going to be one serious VC.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — NEW MERCHANT IN AMSTERDAM'S CITY CENTER on: May 23, 2014, 09:20:20 AM
Did you actually consider changing from Scrypt to something which can not be mined by ASIC's? I think as soon as the ASIC hit mainstream a lot of the current scrypt coins will lose all it's value? I'm talking about those 60MH miners not small gridseeds.

It's tough to know what the effect will be, but litecoin will most likely be the coin that get hits hard with Asics initially. Since there is enough volume to support people dumping out. On the other end of the scale people buying gridseeds have big money, esp the ones from KnC that cost close to $10000. Now if it's someone that has dipped into there life savings and needs to ROI then they will be dumping out which could initially effect coin prices or make it so it costs more to mine the coin with the price/hash ratio. The later would only be a problem though if all POW scrypt coins became unprofitable to mine cause a person mining to ROI is going to take the best current priced coin and mine it via multipools.

On the other end of the spectrum you will have a rich investor who will buy some hw and also mine a coin they supporting not to dump out but to use and even buy more up. This is why POW coins with no USE will die out with ASICS and the rest will carry on.

Changing to a different ALGO means you are supporting people who can only afford graphic cards. Wink

The above is just my opinions of course and could be totally off.
1714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — NEW MERCHANT IN AMSTERDAM'S CITY CENTER on: May 23, 2014, 07:20:58 AM
Is NLG thinking about going proof of stake? I find it nonsensical Proof of Work currency can be a national currency, due to it's potentional vulnerability to 50% attack and other attacks.

Casinocoin has now Digishield implemented: https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin

Maybe an idea? Not for now, everything is going well and there have to be not that much updates in a short time, but maybe later on. Also less total coins that will be generated could be considered?

Yeah this is a tough one, having POW means you will have a whole mining segment behind your coin that POS coins won't have, I know some POS coins have got multipools to support them, but the major problem with POS coins is that people generally hoard or trade them. With POW coins there will always be sellers and people willing to spend them as they can get more a lot easier PROVIDED THE COIN HAS USE! that is the most important thing. In the crypto world a lifespan of 2 months is above average for a new coin release because the intention is just to PnD.

Less coins should be considered if the coins demand can't meet supply,  at current prices if everyone had to dump out everything they mined it would need 391 btc to support the coin over 365 days (1 Year). That is a drop in a bucket considering the Netherlands has the 16th biggest economy in the world, so if this goes mainstream it's better to have more supply, if it will stay in the confines of the IT industry less coins would be better. So lets see where things go. Smiley

Just a quick update from the team. After an awesome month with good results it can feel a bit quiet... But thats only because we are currently focusing on some important projects behind the scenes. One of those projects we can show you next week and I think you will like it. The other project is more long term, but we believe its very important for our ultimate goal, making sure people can use Guldencoin. And the way to do this is being realistic about the way merchants can accept Guldencoin. Its already very simple, but it should be the most simple payment method...
But even without some big news this week I still see a lot of amazing stuff from our community. Almost every day I see good ideas here or at the guldencoinforum, there are stickers being developed, t-shirts designed, websites launched (this is so cool: http://betalenmetguldencoin.nl). Thanks all!

I am so happy to hear this, the best coin there is, i'm a little nervous

At this stage even if the team took a 1 month holiday and did nothing it would still be better then 90% of coins out there. Smiley

Hopefully that is not the case though.lol Smiley

Well done all, we just hit 1200 on mintpal and position 87, we should be well into the 70s by the weekend!

In 3 hours from now we will see how many votes we are pushing over 24 hrs for NLG on Mintpal, so far it's exactly 50.

Great Coin! Gread Development! Im totally in and mining this!

+1

also seems like we have a Mexican standoff on bittrex. No direction but that might have to do with the large sell order at 154

You call that a sell wall Wink . I think people are waiting to see if anything else is going to happen with NLG. I think a good price for NLG is around 550.

lol, I see that sell wall got destroyed. Smiley Seems like more buyers starting to notice this coin.

if you have time
put the alarm every hour and vote
if we are 100 people who vote 5 times a day resulting 500 votes per day, in four weeks we get to Mintpal

Even 20 people would be great, right now seems like there is 4-5 consistent voters.
