1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 09:43:53 PM
If you plan to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment in a physical store, it indicates that your government permits the use of Bitcoin in your country. Without such approval, accepting Bitcoin as a payment method would be extremely challenging. It is crucial to adhere to government regulations to prevent any potential issues. Nonetheless, embracing and holding Bitcoin is a commendable step forward. It would be beneficial to assist your mother in understanding Bitcoin, enabling her to manage payments seamlessly.

As OP said that their government frowns at Crypto which means that there is a possible ban or restrictions on Crypto placed by the government in their country and at such, they should apply caution if they should make bitcoin a payment option because if the government should get rid of it, it might cost them alot but if OP insist on accepting bitcoin, then p2p would be the best option and should be done quietly.
1702  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: General Crypto on: July 06, 2023, 08:03:23 PM
What is the most unhackable crypto platform?
I will likely say that decentralized exchange are not too porous to hackers because there is not too much concentration on retention or safe where  holders store their crypto assets or funds compared to the centralized exchange which is always a target for scammers and hackers. So therefore, it invariably means that platforms are possibly still hackable irrespective of how strong their security architectures are. The hack on the FTX exchange  should be a case study OP.
1703  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: July 06, 2023, 05:51:58 PM
I think 'Ignore' feature is like when you don't like someone but you don't want to have a direct conflict with that person so you just don't want to see their post. Knowing someone ignores you will make you wonder what problem they have with you, and then there will be conflict. My point is, make Public Ignore List will negate the feature.

Ignoring a user could also be another way of having encounter with such user over time on the forum, maybe such person is a shitposter or have being suspected to be engaged in anything you would always like to do without, you may not want to keep seeing his repeated posts that could be so annoying, or maybe you may ignore the user to avoid repeated reporting to the moderators of their nasty posts on the forum.

Possibly, constant reporting of ones account or post as you have said is likely a sign that you are likely on the ignore list of that reporter. Maybe they detest your post and would want to do everything possible to put you off but i think it is for your own good because it would make you to sit up by doing the right thing and also making valuable posts  and contributions. In all, you will have no knowledge of who is behind it all and that is amongst the numerous reasons why this platform is unique.
1704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 05:25:49 PM
It is nice you have such a good plans for your mother. I believe she would welcome it in good fate as it is a good development but you said the government of your country frowns at it. I really do not know about your country and does it mean that there is a possible ban on crypto in your country since it happens that government frowns at it? Anyways there is no big deal about it. You can actually succeed in doing it as it would be more of a p2p transaction in the sense that her customers will pay directly to her wallet without having any third party interference.

You can interact with her customers or tell her to do so which would convince her clients but since you have more knowledge about bitcoin than your mother, you can help her because there would definitely be some client who are into crypto and would also give in to making payment with bitcoin.

I  would advise that you do not hodl all her income in bitcoin but rather there should be some certain percentage for which she should take as cash for her profit, some to reinvest in her business while some percentage be paid in bitcoin for her hodling as you have said.

Your plans for your mom is quite a good one.
1705  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it nomal for BLACKJACK.FUN to investigate for more than 6 months? on: July 06, 2023, 04:44:53 PM
I really do not think it is normal for a casino to investigate an account for that too long but if it happens that it involves a third party, then it might be up to depending on how grave the crime or accusation is. On a normal, investigations should not take up to 2 months prior to notifying the account holder pending the time the investigation started. So OP, as i have read through some response , i saw where they said some thing regarding a third party so i guess that was why they gave an estimate of that long time interval and also, seems your case has been resolved as stated by the representative here so you can check in your account to verify for yourself.
1706  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Stealing $10k from me on: July 06, 2023, 04:28:03 PM
Rollbit is well known here to be a reliable and reputable casino and have been running a campaign here for quite some time now with no complaint of scam or any other accusations against them. Am very surprised at your accusations against them and as a matter of fact, i will get the link to their official announcement thread here and possibly the link to their representative here so that you can communicate  with him. At least this could help you get through to the rollbit team to helping you look into your complaints.

1707  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: sigft.com is a scam website that steals your crypto on: July 06, 2023, 03:59:38 PM
So sorry about your experience. There is every reason to doubt you because your accusation lacks proof and evidence to show. Possibly, you might be hired to defame the purported trading platform you claim they scammed you while looking at your profile. How could you have don such trade without conducting due diligence when you know it involved  funds and come to talk of it, no trading platform could demand that you fund your wallet more for easy withdrawal.

Learn to do your own research when you are engaging with any unpopular site so you do not fall victim of any kind in the nearest future. Members her are very wise and smart. As you can see, a member here  was able to unravel the identity of the said trading site very fast for you to  see which means that you barely did any personal research n it and possibly someone referred  you to that site which you probably do not ant to talk about.
1708  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to get mod jobs on any crypto platforms on: July 06, 2023, 03:08:06 PM
Getting such jobs is not difficult, but most projects would want to pay you with their tokens, which may not have been listed on any exchange. It's always as good as doing a free work. The others that pay with bitcoin is difficult to get, because the project always need experienced people to take up the position. The only method is to keep on searching until you get one, you can also take the free jobs to build portfolios for a better mod job in future. Visit crypto subreddits and freelance forums, there you can find such openings. Also keep an eye on some projects shilled on telegram and reddit, a few of them may need mods for their channel and groups. Goodluck!

I had similar experience where I was contacted for a moderating job on telegram. I had to send them my  portfolio.  After which, I was told by the team that they would pay in their own native token which is not professional. I had to let them know how it is been done  but I was considerate enough to accept their local token in a lesser percentage but the insist I had no option than letting it go because of my past experience with such agreement and at the entire end it didn't go down well with me as I made a huge loss. My time, my efforts, my commitment, my expertise all for that project, just like that. It really weakened me but I had no option than to move on. The experience was not worth it. So if you have any negotiation of this nature in the nearest future with any project you would know what to do and be plain with them.
1709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why can't I upload an avatar on my profile on: July 06, 2023, 11:52:50 AM
OP, protocols are necessary in every platform, organizations and where ever one finds him or her self. So therefore I believe it is applicable here that one must grow above the rank of a junior member before one is deemed fit to upload avatar. So in that case, you would have to rank up to a full member before you can be able to use an avatar for your profile.

Nevertheless, there is no restrictions to one putting avatar unless otherwise and if it comes to wearing signature code, the restriction is that the account is banned from activities here on ground of fluanting the forum policies and regulations.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UAE now a pro-Bitcoin mining destination in the Middle East on: July 06, 2023, 11:38:54 AM
UAE has long been on the limelight to being a Crypto friendly nation. They are strategically positioned to take charge of the Crypto market by preparing a framework for the Crypto community. The UAE saw the future of Crypto currency and were quick to swing in the same direction with it by creating an enabling ecosystem for easy adaptability.

With this development and based on the research findings of MOProgress, UAE would be the next destination of miners citing the enabling ecosystem and environment created by the government and in return, revenue would definitely be generated by the government from the miners that would want to establish their mining farm there.
1711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How lost Bitcoins might be handled in the future... on: July 06, 2023, 10:36:15 AM
It is quite interesting your proposals but you must know that lost bitcoin are part of the existing and already minted bitcoin. There is only 21,000,000 maximum bitcoin supply so anything contrary to this I think would be frowned at and would not go down well with the bitcoin community. But instead missing or lost bitcoin would make the  existing bitcoin more valuable and a scarce commodity.

Nevertheless, of lately, wallet addresses holding large volume of bitcoin started waking up and these are the wallets assumed to be  holding lost bitcoin but it wasn't as the thought goes. So it would be very difficult to decipher if a wallet holding bitcoin for long without any activity is assumed to be a lost coin unless otherwise if the owner of such wallet comes up publicly to declare that such wallet holding certain volume of bitcoin belongs to them and possibly verification is done that is when it could be said that such bitcoin is a lost one.
1712  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My Simple Solution For Speedy P2P Trading on: July 06, 2023, 07:35:12 AM
OP so far I have i barely hear about complaints of CEX p2p having any issues. I see you mentioning binance but do you know that binance seems to be the easiest and fastest p2p trade, their features looks more feasible and flexible to scale through and very much easier than kucoin.

You don't need to check your bank apps multiple times before verifying p2p transactions because bank to bank transfer for Opay and Palmpay are instant 0.01 seconds  Wink Wink ;

This is the reason why people get scammed and loss assets and funds. How can you say that you do not need to confirm with your bank app for payment before releasing Crypto. Do you know how many people that have made such mistake of not confirming before releasing Crypto.

As a matter of fact, this is what CEX p2p  platforms advise her members to do before releasing Crypto to their buyer. They advise everyone dealing ie sellers to confirm payment before they release assets so that they don't get scammed as they do not have control over p2p deals.  Be it same bank or otherwise, one needs to be very much sure before releasing Crypto because any Crypto that moves out of your own custody is no longer yours and if you make any mistake, you are on your own.
1713  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can BTC or crypto users play politics in Nigeria? on: July 06, 2023, 07:08:30 AM
No cause for alarm for wetin op dey ask my guy. Things dey happen naturally only if you dey ready to grab am. You must live ready for time to come meet you. Anybody wey dey inside crypto runs fit aspire for any political position for the country, in fact e go even make sense self so that those people go follow liberalize the system for me. This one wey CBN dey do with account wey dey with binance no go dey happen.
I no doubt your opinion. I believe say currently, some of our big politicians and leaders dey run crypto and bitcoin parol but nobody know and possibly, them fit don save some loot in Crypto currency so that nobody fit know or trace.

Like you talk about Crypto enthusiast dey into political offices, I strongly believe say the process don even begin sef. Why I dey talk so na because our national assembly dey really put Crypto talk well for their talk agenda and Dem no gree to ban am even when cbn governor talk anyhow about am them tell make him come defend himself. So this one make me believe say we already get leaders wey dey into Crypto for the political leadership matter for our country.
1714  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: July 06, 2023, 06:41:52 AM
I too have been wondering how possible to know and see if someone put you on their ignore list without the person telling you or saying it.  Possibly, the forum administrator thought of it and decided to do away with it being public otherwise there would be series of confrontations here as to why one would be
put in such list and be ignored in such manner.

Seriously, not everyone like hearing that and as a matter of fact, there is every tendency that most of your good post would not get due attention and rewards when such happens.

It is better the ignore features remains that way as no one should know who put them on their ignore list and who is ignoring who here otherwise there would be reactions from members who see themselves on people's ignore list and possibly, it would not be making any sense the outcome.
1715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kyc for accounts or wallets on: July 05, 2023, 11:47:04 PM
There is no non-custodial wallet that will request or require their the user to pass kyc verification, except their counterpart like centralized exchanges, custodial wallets and so on..

If at any point a wallet that is supposedly a non-custodial wallet starts asking or suggesting their users to pass kyc verification to probably enjoy some premium services, then know that such a wallet is a custodial wallet and also have a high risk of being hacked, there is even the possiblity of the builders of the wallet having unrestricted access to your fund since they may likely have access to the private keys.

I was wondering too because it is never possible for a self custodial wallet to demand for KYC and personal details only CEX could demand for such and if any the self custodial wallet does that, just as you have said, there is likely a possibility of that wallet being porous and it would not be advisable to make use of such wallet for the safety of ones funds.
1716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stories about lost Bitcoin on: July 05, 2023, 10:59:26 PM
All personal information related to Bitcoin is never to be shared with anyone.

Ofcourse it is true all personal information as regards bitcoin is private and never meant to be shared by any third party but some people still fall prey of scammers without any idea that their details have been hacked. This act is perpetrated through links sent to them via email social media handle and lots more unbeknownst to them are vulnerable to invading their devices with malware's when they click on such link and possibly download whatever was sent to them through that link.

Many people have lost access to their accounts as a result of these carelessness and it has cost them alot. That is why it is advised not to click any link sent to your email or anything account of yours If you are not expecting mail from such or you do not recognize such email better still you delete it all at once.
1717  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature and Forum Campaign Question on: July 05, 2023, 10:42:44 PM
At first, signature campaign managers have every right to formulate the rules to their various campaigns so as to meet with the demand of their clients whom they promote their various projects here. Managers want active boards where signature is visible and  the visibility of the signature brings about benefit to the project and as such increases the popularity of that project onboard the platform.

Nevertheless, some campaign requires some specific board for signature campaign participants to be constantly engaging so as to attract more traffic to them. For instance the gambling board as we know is basically for gambling exercise and casinos. So therefore any casino project would definitely want their name to be visible there and this requires their campaign participants to constantly be active there so that their casino can gain the attention it desires.
1718  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to get mod jobs on any crypto platforms on: July 05, 2023, 10:17:47 PM
OP, getting a mod job should not be a problem but rather have you got any experience? Do you have a portfolio?  because nobody would want to hire a novice to moderate their community because that alone is a disaster not to talk of when he or she is being paid to do the job.

If you lack experience, you can start as a volunteer at first and doing the job for free would grant you more exposure and experience so you could build your portfolio and CV. Then you do your own self marketing.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to banned addresses? on: July 05, 2023, 10:04:06 PM
Well this question is very pertinent and coming from an established member here but I think a banned and blacklisted accounts are dealt with in  different ways just as a poster replied here.

Account banned or blacklisted can still transact as long as it is still onchain. As a single owned wallet it can transact with other wallets but if it transact with a CEX wallet there is every tendencies that whatever comes from the wallet would be flagged and get frozen because CEX have the mechanism to do such task.
1720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 05, 2023, 08:33:24 PM
OP, I believe anyone here onboard this platform must be a full ardent bitcoin enthusiasts and as such, one would say that there is every possibility believers of bitcoin would definitely hold as halving is around the corner.

Patience is just the key to achieving that but do you think with pressing needs and demands one can be able to make such attempt to hold?
I do not think ignorance is the issue,
Fear of price decline should not be an issue,
What i really think is the economic crisis ravaging the world currently, people are going through lots and would want sustenance for the moment so they would not mind withdrawing the little they have converting it to fiat and settling some pressing needs at hand, maybe family, school, medical etc. which one can not tell the reasons for their actions and they can do whatever they deem fit with their funds and assets.
