1705  Economy / Computer hardware / Broken bfl Jally in UK. -Thrown away- on: July 08, 2014, 10:16:35 PM
Got a bfl Jally thats Daffy Ducked, Free to good home.

WARNING - This blew my home circuit when I plugged it into my USB port (SPARK)  Huh I have No idea why, I will not be responsible for any damage this may cause, I recommend this goes to someone who knows what they are doing, This was a first one that ran under 5Ghs.

I did not power this back up, Sold with PSU (not the plug) and Box.

UK ONLY, This is worthless, I will not send abroad.

EDIT, Now thrown away
1706  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets settle this, AMD or intel on: July 08, 2014, 10:10:05 PM

Good points. Also there is nothing official to settle this was just for fun  Smiley

I know, Just wanted to get one of these in.  Shocked

1707  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets settle this, AMD or intel on: July 08, 2014, 10:05:26 PM
To solve this you have to go a little back in time, Intel had more math co-processors, Making it the daddy of calculations (MIPS-MOPS) thus winning any office database compiling, meaning businesses preferred Intel, Now AMD was classed faster at bus I/O making it more responsive to the voodoo 3000 GPU making it a winner with gamers.

Showing my age a little here, THERE IS NOTHING TO SETTLE NOW. The difference between any same generation chip is minuscule, It is much more relying on other components for the full experience of the machine than the chip alone.

In short, I have spend far too much money on the latest best chip, Only to spend too much time on minesweeper/retro games (EMU's) and flash games.

Nuff said  Roll Eyes

1709  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fraud Alert: Beware of "CryptoStocks.com" on: July 08, 2014, 12:00:45 PM
I have had to close a project on cryptostocks, I did not realize how bad their reputation was (or fears of how they were operating) until I tried to use their platform for my venture.
1710  Economy / Goods / Re: Samsung 60" LED 3D Smart TV on: July 07, 2014, 09:39:25 AM
I like that guard dog you have protecting the TVs!

LOL.
I wonder if the guard dog is included!

Most German-Shepard dogs will lick you to death, They are only dangerous guard dogs if trained or instinctively protecting their owner.

I would place an offer, but shipping to UK would be too much, GLWS, this is a fine deal.

I was wondering why he kept sending me invoices which i could not open, they were pdf.scr.

I hope gav comes to the rescue as he has been excellent and i still need the parts as asap.

Yes, an invoice would be in xxx.PDF not pdf.scr. Anyway, I dont think OP is zyhsu815_remote911 I'm guessing he would just be zyhsu815.

I feel for you, It's very easy to get caught out, Back in the day, I lost 100's of coins  Roll Eyes hope this makes you feel better.
1713  Economy / Auctions / Re: FAST AUCTION COINTERRA TERRAMINER 1,6TH/s (3 pieces) on: July 05, 2014, 11:19:23 AM

1714  Economy / Securities / Re: Cryptostocks.com--SENIGMA--20%APR Paying monthly--Info on OP on: July 01, 2014, 11:41:29 PM
NOTICE - Due to the dramatic and constant difficulty, Coupled with the release of constant price dropping equipment, Tripled with the price per GH on many clouds like CEX/PB getting cheaper buy the day, This project is no longer viable, As soon as I have upgraded my equipment, It has become Obsolete each time, I have made a bigger dividend payout this month, I will wind up hardware and buy back your shares with as much as I can get for it.

I Thank you for your help in this project.

I would be grateful to get any comments from UK miners to see if it is worth taking further due to the additional services provided.

sure  Cool

2 Levels of service:

1: Send and Forget (Send me hardware and pool details. I take care of the rest.)
2: VPN access to your hardware at anytime (small setup cost)

this is good, most only want to use VPN, I like send and forget.

Quote
Terms:
Min 1 year term with option to swap out during that period
6 months upfront then billing quarterly.

One year is too long, along with 6 months upfront, Too much can happen in Crypto world in a month.

Quote
Billing to the nearest 0.5kw
Payment in GBP, Bitcoin or certain Alt Coins

Billing needs to be closer, as a Bitmain S2 pulls 1.1KWH meaning I will pay for the full 1.5KWH

Quote
33/34p per kwh inc VAT

This is not bad, If closer thresholds on an S2, It would cost 269.28 (24*1.1*0.34*30)

This is useful to someone keeping hosting in the uk, But IMO (genuinely) It's not worth the hassle for you, I can host a S2 in USA for £140 or less, And lest not forget, I do not have to pay import charges.

But if you like your equipment in the UK, Or you all ready have stuff here that needs to me out the way without loosing your hashing power, This is a reasonable deal for the UK.

HTH.
1716  Economy / Goods / Re: FUND RAISING FOR DOBZOMBIE [wts] Goxxed For the Last Time coins on: June 29, 2014, 09:01:16 PM
Come on, I know there are a bunch of you out there who want to help someone out and get a sombre/fun reminder of the chicanery at MtGox!

I am thinking of getting these, What serial numbers have you got left? could I also pay postage to have some sent to Dz?

Hi squall, that's great! The numbers are on the thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=508380.0

The imperfect strikes were originally meant to be 300-400 numbered, but I am happy to assign them whichever number you want.

The originals sold between 50 and 100 coins ( I do not have the exact spreadsheet open right now) and are still available for the time being, but I will be winding down these silver plated ones as the profit margin isn't really worth my time at the moment.

I am trying to move away from doing certificates and in the future all my coins will be engraved with their numbers. But like I wrote I am happy to get those sorted for you.

You are welcome to pay to have some sent to Dob, I already donated one to him, but I bet he'd like more for his museum Smiley

I will pay 0.12 for you to send a couple to Dob  Smiley

Great, they're coming out of the woodwork now.

I wonder if it's the same pricks that hacked me.

Possible, It could be staged as they knew you would have to sell off stuff, But then, Some thought would need to be involved, I dont think people like that could think!

On a side note, I did not know who you were untill yesterday, I have been reading everything about you and the good work you have been doing, your up's and downs in life, You are a fine fellow, I know you will come through this, As I am on the default trust list, I don't throw my weight around easily, But I have no problem bad repping these people, Personally they are not even classed as a person IMO.
