1701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: March 14, 2023, 01:59:58 PM
I have a lot of crypto experience, so I can't tell everything. maybe I'll say a little painful experience in 2021 when I got a coin from the bounty and the estimate was 2000 $ then I sold it 6 months later the estimate went up to 100k $ there I felt sad because I couldn't hold it for 6 months.
but i saw that there are many people like me, so i started to understand about trend up and down.
Could you tell us which coin this was, as far as I remember most of the newly launched coins have been performing poorly, I may have missed some golden eggs there. My experience with altcoins have been that only, getting a golden egg is like searching for a needle in the haystack so it is a worthless attempt to make when you have bitcoin always ready to buy.

If you did make a profit here, forget about it and move on, consider yourself lucky that the same coin did not go down in the dumps and never went up, which has been the case with most altcoins.
1702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have failed too severely, time to give up? on: March 13, 2023, 08:49:33 AM
You should continue promoting Bitcoin like always but your target population needs to change. Daily wage workers don't like complicated payment systems or something that needs them to do something extra which in case is installing a wallet software, setting it up with a seed, keeping the seed secure and converting to fiat needed, instead they would just accept fiat.

Just ask yourself, why would these simple people go through so much trouble when th end result is right in front of them?

That is where you come in. Your job is to make them take th difficult route because of some discount or something extra. This is how you should plan and not just talk but also show how easy it can be, how Bitcoin can be a good investment for future.

Just don't forget that when bitcoin drops, you will have a mob of uneducated sharp axe weilding people at you.
1703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: March 13, 2023, 08:43:03 AM
Alcohol slows your decision making so while you can literally trade with whatever is in your blood, your decisions will be poorer than when you are not drunk.

As a fun experiment we can try to do dummy trading while drunk and see the outcomes but in real life, anything that slows your brain or disturbs your cognition will hamper the outcome.

Gamblers often get drunk while playing and the effect is not good.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge really go to the moon? on: March 13, 2023, 08:39:12 AM
but I'm no longer sure about Shiba, I see Shiba Inu as playing with all its holders, besides that I see Shiba Inu as needing investors who have the most wealth like Elon Musk, without any tweets from Elon Musk then this Shiba doesn't mean anything. well, thus in my opinion the shiba inu is not worth holding for a long time
It is the same with altcoins that have no intrinsic market making capability, those which are not regularly shilles by celebs and so on, they die out a slow painful death for its investors. You can see some minor pumps from time to time but mostly they will remain low.

Here again comes in the reality. Coins like DOGE have a good base of users but th lacking is in development and introducing POS machines based on doge.

Use the coins, dammit, use it regularly and then see it's demand rise yourself.
1705  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase capital investment on: March 13, 2023, 08:34:41 AM
In my opinion, the easiest and instant way to increase capital investment is to borrow at a bank, of course it takes special skills to be able to convince, especially if we don't use collateral, but if our business looks to have good prospects and the financial reports are always profitable, then it's time to divide it into shares so that it is more profitable. easy to find investors
Borrowing is a temporary solution to a money crisis. But using borrower money to invest is an added risk on top of the investment's risk. Many people do this regularly taking one loan to pay off another, ultimately end up in a debt spiral and eventually unable to pay off their loan.

I would not suggest that to newbie but only for those who have been doing this for years.

As far as running a business is concerned, giving shares means having to go on a public market. This is a long term thing and does to apply to every business out there.
1706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience on Bitcoin on: March 12, 2023, 08:09:13 AM
So all I want to say that, don't hold any regrets on your past actions. Instead, learn from it and keep going forward. It's never too late to become successful.
I agree, holding regrets only put you in the sad zone and we dont want that. As fellow bitcoin users it is our duty to motivate each other and be optimistic about the earnings that we can hope for. Indeed we can buy at low prices maybe not as low as three digit prices which I have seen when I started, but below 20k USD is possible in the background of the USDC depegging.

While less than 10k prices are very difficult now still we can buy at these levels and hold it for future gains. This needs to be done at regular intervals just like accumulating a few well performing stocks every on every drop. Dont think that you will buy today once and get huge returns a year back.
1707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the last chance to exchange stablecoins for Bitcoin on: March 12, 2023, 08:04:12 AM
Last chance, possibly not, one of the possible chances - yes.

But stablecoins will crash like this in view of different problems in future too. People need to understand the basic flawed nature of these currencies. I hope this deters people from putting in too much money in stablecoins in future. I use them mostly as an intermediary to hedge during the bull/bear retreat to be able to maximize bitcoin volumes on the other side, luckily I did not have any trades on USDC.

Sadly a lot many people want stability in the midst of volatility, while I try to reinforce that we dont necessarily need that since the yearly swing of bitcoin is <15% of opening price vs closing price, so will still continue to buy stablecoins.

Mark my words, in a few months a new stablecoin will appear and everyone will jump on that.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto related jobs on: March 11, 2023, 02:09:26 PM
There are number of websites which offer freelancing and have bitcoin as payment option, which I am sure many members would have pointed out in this thread.

However keep in mind that the more easy method to get paid in crypto is if you are going to accept your salary in bitcoin. This is easier if your country has a lenient legal framework on bitcoin and if you have business like setup where customers pay you directly.

You could also convert a part of your monthly fiat income to bitcoin when the market goes down.

Also phishing sites can be avoided by bookmarking the site you commonly use, it is an easy and simple fix.
1709  Economy / Economics / Re: Could Bitcoin one day become the global reserve currency? on: March 11, 2023, 01:55:54 PM
I think bitcoin will be difficult to become a reserve currency as long as there are no strong countries legalizing bitcoin, if a strong country officially legalizes bitcoin then bitcoin will be more secure, there are too many weaknesses in bitcoin but if it is legalized by a strong country there will certainly be many rules, for example price controls on exchanges so that bitcoin is more stable and will not be too volatile as it is today.
A "Strong country" is a debated phrase to make, I believe you you those who have more influence on world economics than others. Now legalizing bitcoin is also an absurd term to use because it was never illegal to use it in most countries, but instead it was in "grey zone" that the government did not want to touch.

Volatility can one aspect but I believe acceptance is also low which is a bigger aspect than volatility. The number of people in a country using bitcoin is abysmally small if surveyed on a global scale, but I would be happy if proven wrong.

With a small userbase I hardly think governments actually want to make a move on bitcoin users. Hence our focus should be on bigger acceptance from no-coiners gradually to increase the userbase and then see how governments respond. Becoming a global reserve currency is a long shot statement to make and will not happen overnight.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you think second if crypto without internets? Impossible right. on: March 09, 2023, 07:58:43 AM
Those rural people are nowadays getting access to electricity and internet at homes or moving to cities with these facilities for studies and work. Thus the possible population which can take part in crypto is ever increasing.

Hence I don't think non-internet crypto should be a problem at this point.

Besides what I tried to highlight in another similar thread was that in case the internet went down, bitcoin would be the least of your problems as that would be a war like situation and all the internet based services would have shut down, like an apocalypse.
1711  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience on Bitcoin on: March 09, 2023, 07:53:14 AM
I am sure you will find many such users on this forum but the truth is that they all invested or earned bitcoin from one time and are continuing to do so over the years. The reason why they did not invest must have been outweighed by the price rise and thus the profitability.

This I don't blame them because we all like to keep our hard earned money safe and this the caution.

But it is never late to start again. One can buy Bitcoin in this market too and hope for better returns.
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you say about this investment plan on: March 09, 2023, 07:49:11 AM
Is it safe to invest in Defi projects that has it's own Stablecoin? There is one project I like but the thought of having a stablecoin makes me feel unsafe about the project, we all know how such projects always end up, the mess with Luna and it's stable coin still lives in me till date.
Having a stablecoin or not should not be your determinant. You have to do backside research on the project, check out the team members if they are being honest and talk to the advisors for their opinion before putting your money in. Every crypto project out there has been promoting itself as the best but literally zero have gone up in the last 2years.

Hence my opinion is to observe before investing. Most DeFi projects have not done well. Watch for at least a couple of years before jumping onboard.
1713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 08, 2023, 09:46:25 AM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.
If you already made up your mind that it is too risky, why bother asking?

Anyway the safer method to approach this is whether the person understands the importance of money and why they need to save money or grow it passively. If they are a careless spender, if they get more money at hand they will waste it - something that is difficult to identify at younger age but possible from upbringing.

I would suggest the kid's parents to talk to him/her about it first and set up their own piggy bank and see if the kid has interest in it. Then only go for trading on a dummy market. That is how we old school people started here, by saving up remaining change on a piggy.
1714  Other / Meta / Re: How can I increase my merit? on: March 08, 2023, 09:42:08 AM
Is merit important and should I interact more?
Merit is needed to progress in the rank ladder, nothing more.

Now higher ranks are able to join signature campaigns with higher pay so it ends up being a merit-hunting game for many users on this forum. After all who does not want some coins from discussions in this forum?

Do read old threads, post regularly, solving problems and helping others, you will eventually gather enough merits to grow your account's rank. Obviously the merit sources are biased towards older users, but you can become a "newbie of the month" too.
1715  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: March 08, 2023, 09:36:52 AM
As a result, I believe the two markets can be compared fairly because they are different.
Its an apples and oranges comparison in my opinion. They have some similarities but after all they are different asset classes. The choice to invest in stocks will be low in this forum because it is a crypto forum, ask the same question in a stock market forum you will get the opposite skewed answer.

It all boils down to being a personal choice. If you are comfortable in either you should go with that, there is nothing bad about either if you are happy with it. Stocks carry lesser risk as compared to crypto because of less volatility over time but bitcoin has itself become <15% volatile in a year, so I dont think it differs much than holding a stock in the long run.
1716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: March 07, 2023, 07:26:21 AM
Addiction is more likely to lead to negative things, especially when it involves finances. Back to ourselves, if we don't want to have addiction in trading we can manage time and finances one of them. Maybe we usually trade 7 days a week, that can be reduced to 5 days for example. Or we usually trade 8 hours a day, we can reduce it to 4 hours. Set profit targets and set loss targets, it will help us not to have addiction in trading.
In long term holding you would not even need to trade for so long, 5hr/day seems like a day job. You just need to keep an eye on the price and if your target is to buy, set the order and close the app - just forget about the market and check back the next day whether it got executed or not.

In day trading, of course the scenario changes and you are on your console almost all day and night. This is stressful and usually done as a full time job. Difficult to manage and difficult to sustain, it is not for everyone and personally I dont suggest it someone who has zero experience in prior speculative trading.

Therefore day trading can push one towards addiction way more than long term trading, just my hypothesis.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do NFTs Have Same Value as Bitcoin?* on: March 07, 2023, 07:18:39 AM
Similar in the sense they are both related as cryptocurrency - but saying say would be stretching it too much, in my opinion.

Bitcoin is a currency can be used universally as a mode of payment and NFT is like an object that can be traded but not used universally like a currency. Just being associated with cryptocurrencies does not make it a currency.

Value being same is a vague term as well, you need to sell an NFT to get its quoted price but for bitcoin you just open a trade and let someone choose that to close the trade.

Investing in NFTs is way more risky than bitcoin from what I experienced. There were shit-NFTs being propagated and sold at huge prices at one time.
1718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value till 2033? on: March 07, 2023, 07:09:44 AM
Trust me, we all are curious to know otherwise we would not be here. Cheesy

Those who are speculating on bitcoin price have a similar motif but the question how long can you sustain, till your last breath? By the time you get old in case you started buying bitcoin at a very young age, bitcoin will be huge in terms of its fiat price. So hold and keep buying more.

At the same time make sure to spend and buy back to increase your collection of bitcoin while using mostly fiat for daily expenses. Going by charts, we can say that in 10years a lot of price rise is possible and a lot of things can happen in this world. Nobody predicted a pandemic in a global scale and a war that has been going on for a year now leading to economic decline.
1719  Economy / Gambling / Re: I got frusted please help? on: March 06, 2023, 09:35:00 AM
You can find most of these in the major casinos out there. Specific requirements that you asked for might not be available but a good support team and quick withdrawal are the most customer satisfying features.

Please do check out the available casinos on your own you will definitely find your match.

If you have problems this forum is always going to help you gather a mob against the admins, usually they get solved quickly if the complaint is fair.
1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: March 06, 2023, 09:17:35 AM
Cheap altcoin does not equate to a good altcoin in terms of long term value or profit. While there might be expections (to keep your mind open), I am yet to see a shitcoin become a top coin. These coins mostly stay down and never go back up. So if you are going to buy one do some research don't just buy it because others are saying so.

In general staying away from newly launched coins is the best step to take. Bitcoin is always there to buy when you have spare fiat to spend.
