1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can One's Religion Compel A Compulsive Gambler To Quit Gambling on: June 17, 2023, 07:30:03 AM
Religion is but a doctrine to keep people on the right track with said punishments if they sway from that track - nothing more.

The final decision to commit a crime or do something un-religious depends on the person itself and their morals. I dont mean that gambling is an immoral thing to do, as long as it is in moderation, it can be fun.

Just converting to another religion is nothing more than a facade done for other reasons, it does not change the person. An addicted gambler will remain an addict unless they seek professional help.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: June 17, 2023, 07:25:18 AM
Any suggestion from your side which is good for long term
Its bitcoin, hands down. Stretch it a little more and you can include ETH too. Increase the risk even more you can get the rest of the top altcoins as well. To play it safe, keep it limited to bitcoin and you can sleep tight.

In any case, if you find bitcoin too pricy to buy, dont buy 1BTC in whole, we have satoshis for that - buy the fractions and continue accumulating.

Judging by your account its not a new account but you have posting gaps, I assume you got this account from someone else selling it. I wonder what you have been doing all this while because this is a fairly simple question.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any airdrop hunters here need some leads on: June 16, 2023, 07:17:27 AM
The best advice I can give, is to work on your account posting habits and quality and eventually earn enough merits to rank up to join a bitcoin paying signature campaign. Using the earning from that you can buy any coin you want or pay for your expenses if your local laws allow it. The bitcoin paying campaigns are like the holy grail of campaigns in this forum, the best side hustles you can get.

If you have any other skills use them to provide services, dont run after aidrops, they are not worth your time which I consider is the most precious thing at hand.
1704  Economy / Speculation / Re: This year is dumping ground for bitcoin on: June 16, 2023, 07:13:51 AM
All the time being this year has not really record a tangible price increase that's why people are dumping bitcoin for now. I consider more buy before now but I think is wise we use our wisdom to hold on or stay bitcoin idle for now, let's see what could have be the reason for this drastically continues price falling.
Both are good options depending on how the downtrend is affecting your mindset, because the latter is something you need to keep sane to continue normally in life. If you are hopeful and wish to buy then by all means do so as the price drops. If you are feeling bad about it and want to wait it out, no problem in that as well. For long term traders this is an advantage, they are never in a pressure to trade rapidly.

Am thinking weather is reducing in figures, or other market products have reduced its value, or have America caught Satoshi and warn him to stop this bitcoin from gaining value? Talk please, but my advise is to reduce your buying strategies and watch.
Satoshi has no control over bitcoin, the price depends on buy/sell demand in the market. Please get your basics straight here.
1705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Manipulation on Peek - What You think ? on: June 16, 2023, 07:07:41 AM
Why is it always manipulation when prices are going down, but it's all fine and dandy and no one questions it when prices are going up?
The human nature to see a downtrend as something bad or that someone out there made them lose the money invested by playing tricks on things they cannot control.

This is common in speculative trading and there the hunt for reason is futile here. But most wannabe traders cannot digest this fact without passing some obnoxious smelling wind. Tongue

I suggest users to treat them as just numbers going up and down, dont ask why its cycling like that. Then follow the buy low and sell high method and make your money. The patient waiting time in between will vary and that needs to be endured.
1706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - how low will we go in 2023? on: June 15, 2023, 09:39:37 AM
I say let it drop, let the FUD go on and allow it to reach a rock bottom. Then we will attack with our fiat stash and buy enough to overfill our bags and continue buying as the price keeps dropping. There are few opportunities which one cannot miss, falling bitcoin prices is one such. Don't be of the opinion that the price drops mean a poor asset. The drop will stop at one point and rise will happen, this can be seen from past charts.

In trading being optimistic about the asset is a major important thing and for Bitcoin this carries an immense role. Buy when you can otherwise you will lament the loss.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: June 15, 2023, 09:12:07 AM
I don't like trading. I'm just an investor who likes to spend my money to buy and hold. But if the price of the altcoin I've been buying advances to a green indication then I'll sell some of it to make a small profit.
That is long term holding pattern. That is a fine method to trade as well. If you are willing to leave out the risk and keep it simple just buy at the low and sell when the green starts filling in. The wrong move newbies do here is buying at the high when the hype pumps the price too much. Avoid that and you should be fine doing this.

Some people prefer to do both, investing for the long term while also keeping some for short term trades. For those who have a demanding job and are unable to give time all day long term is the best option.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the disagreement between the Government, Bank and Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2023, 09:02:05 AM
Bank follows government orders and act according to its rules. Now many users wants Banks to show some cooperation towards crypto users and their payments. But crypto have this decentralised nature, that is it cannot be controlled by any government or banks. Hence banks shows negative attitude towards the crypto with collaboration with the government. This is the main reason for which the disagreement still continues.
However many banks know the potential of Bitcoin. They are using blockchain for many services that they provide and development is occurring for that in many banking institutions. They might run fiat economy as per the orders of the government but things might change in future where the government becomes more lenient and start allowing crypto and then these banks will come out with their full armamentarium.

Though this might be longshot, for now we should focus on storing bitcoin as much as we can while the time is still ripe.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 14, 2023, 06:48:15 AM
while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.
There are so many ways to circumvent the bans since years. There are VPNs, Tor and so many other methods. Even Bitcoin itself is pseudo-anonymous and this the problems are low.

Truly speaking the ban on crypto is a tough thing to actually implement. The governments rarely want to do something that the people love to use. They would rather put taxes than outright ban them. Otherwise the outcry would be difficult to control.

Also gambling is a hidden pleasure for many people. So it's not stopped easily and even if it does some new method will come up.
1710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 06:16:44 AM
bitcoin is the first crypto I know, even now lay people I'm sure they won't know the name crypto but they tend to call it bitcoin investment, all coins are considered bitcoin before knowing anything about crypto. so I'm sure everyone's favorite coin is bitcoin, it can't be denied, even bitcoin has always been #1 in the past few years.
Let's hope that in future this is maintained and altcoins only if useful should be used for specific uses. But again this is bitcoin forum so the majority of the replies will be biased towards bitcoin. Of course a certain altcoin can be good but keep them limited as much as possible just avoid trying to be a cult or have a narrow vision.

Again for daily uses of the world population bitcoin was designed to fulfill them and it has been doing that till now. It is one of the big reasons why bitcoin became popular along with its high price and community support.
1711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still a digital currency on: June 14, 2023, 06:09:34 AM
Currently Bitcoin is a very valuable thing that many investors invest in, and Bitcoin is a digital currency that has been legalized by some countries, and has also become legal tender even though this only applies in some countries, but I believe there will be a special protection that will be made by the government because Bitcoin is a very valuable asset for the future, And bitcoin has implemented a high security system.
Government does not care for Bitcoin or it's security. They are rather scared of its popularity and use among users over fiat. Hence don't think they are going to help bitcoin users at all, other than imposing taxation on capital gains. Becoming a legal tender is a huge thing and there has been a lot of problems about that in the countries that allowed so. But this is something that in a long drawn process and may become better in future as governments become lenient.

For now only focus on the current use of Bitcoin, storing it for future selling and not looking at altcoins.
1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 13, 2023, 04:01:05 PM
Although I still studied, I invested a small amount in Bitcoin. I will get married if I get a good job. Many people give many things to their wives as wedding gifts, I have a different plan. I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day. Bitcoin is still illegal in my country so I invested with caution. On my wedding day I want to gift half of my investment to my wife.
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
Why would you gift your beloved a article that is illegal in your country? Maybe in the future married life you can teach her about it, but why at the start?

Consider she is not interested in bitcoin, but gold, what will you do then? Leave your wife or bitcoin? Tough question to answer if you ask me. Roll Eyes

While there are wives who are supportive of their husband's investments, you might want to consider their stance before tying the knot.

My honest advice is to keep collecting bitcoin like the rest of your country members are doing discreetly and wait for the country's stance to change. Only then there is a chance that your upcoming spouse might be willing to accept it.
1713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need signal service on: June 13, 2023, 03:55:53 PM
Following trading signals or copy trade is the fasted means to losing money since there are several realities that those signals never give accurate results unlike what we used to have before, so for that traders have constantly been advised to stick to their individually developed trading techniques.

But one fact we have to come to term with is that trading is high risk and at that, its outcome depends largely on luck and trading skills and every trader must have one of those two.
Signals are far from accurate, they are only done to fool the members of the group and not to enrich them.

Of course a trader should always develop their own methods and be honest to that and not follow others. The gimmicks known as signals group and copy-trading are all the same. Newbies always fall for these scams and they only regret it later on once they realize.

So any newbie reading this should understand the reality of such things. Learn trading on your own and develop your own skills in buying and selling at the proper times. Dont listen to what "self-proclaimed" gurus say.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 13, 2023, 06:37:54 AM
There is a negative notion among people about gamblers. This is because of the reasons that gamblers themselves have caused like taking loans and not keeping promises and taking money from people to feed their greed. This will continue and cannot be changed so easily or overnight.

People gamble because of the rush that comes with risk. But it starts from the greed that comes with big wins and seeing jackpots. Eventually the problem becomes psychological and then recovering from it becomes next to impossible.

The way to reduce this is moderation in playing from the start.
1715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take advantage of the price fall. on: June 12, 2023, 06:08:59 AM
Truly speaking no one can predict the future with 100% accuracy because then they would become super natural. What we do is use our past charts and market sentiment to predict a possibility that can happen. The price dropping means the chance to buy while the price rise is a chance to sell. This is very basic concept of trading.

What the OP did not mention is the price at which their friend bought Bitcoin. If bought at the top, then that mistake should never be repeated again. But all is not lost because rise will happen in future, since then they should keep patience. These are cyclical changes and should be followed like that.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: June 12, 2023, 06:00:05 AM
Understanding cryptocurrencies is easy because volatile markets cause broken candles,
and if you follow a project of course ,
so anyway investing right in crypto world is very different from countries like roses
What the hell does countries like roses mean? You trying to translate from another language? Don't do that.

Understanding crypto is easy if you have prior experience of trading in any other speculative market but not for people who come to crypto for the first time. Analysing charts will allow you to get a lot of information about past patterns of change and how that specific crypto reacts to the news or event. Though this is not a complete science in the long term the outlook of Bitcoin is pretty good as compared to any shitcoin.
1717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: June 12, 2023, 05:54:10 AM
Most of newbie investors don’t know about how to manage their capital but who bought crypto with overprice during hype or just before bear session, were get victim. Bedsides because of panic cell, they lost their most of the capital badly and then blaming crypto for everything. If they try to learn before taking steps, then their story might be different from pictures
It is partially because spikes in crypto price and related media buzz occurs only on a bull run or all of a sudden. Newbies trying to make money will attempt to join then only and thus end up buying at the inflated price. This can be changed only by experience and by learning from mistake and not from us telling them about it. Loss of capital can be recovered by patience in spot trading because you don't actually lose the asset you have merely converted one to another.

Though in the types of trading other than spot, you will lose money if you have no prior experience.
1718  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 11, 2023, 08:36:03 AM
I defenitely keep bitcoin lending as an asset if you consider it like that. But this only remains under your control if you are lending from a platform that you have control over and not signing up on a website and staking your money there to join the lending pool. These sites carry the same risks as exchanges when you use them as your wallet.

I consider the P2P lending done on this forum as something that has a huge potential and while veteran lenders here have already a customer base built there is a rampant spam coming from newbies looking for a quick cash grab, which hurts their business.

Similar to this is the casino bankroll investment which is much lower in recently launched casinos.

Staking though, is something I dont recommend.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 10, 2023, 12:56:03 PM
UK MPs can say what they want, it does not change what bitcoin is.

Bitcoin trading may be a gamble but crypto itself is not. I think this is what they were trying to say while making this statement. Considering the past history of volatile prices and people making money off those price by speculating, crypto trading becomes a gamble, though I feel the term is more applicable to the types of trading other than long term spot trading.

Because certain groups of people are against gambling the politicians want to rouse them by using this term. It is better to ignore these lines than attempt to correct them.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 12:48:25 PM
Asking for KYC is explained in the terms of site if they are going to ask in future, which one has already agreed to when signing up for the site. Eventually many sites will make changes to the terms and force users to agree to them in order to play there. Obviously this is because the casino has to protect its business and from their side, I feel it completely normal to implement, since there are people who are trying to exploit site's codes or use tainted source money to win.

Also the reason why so many casinos have come up recently, because one site starting KYC fiasco means the users will attempt to migrate to another while the other one stays non-KYC, will also implement KYC in a few months - its seems like a cat and mouse game.
