Wouldn't it be great to see Sebastian Vettel taking the job? 

It has been a meme since Binotto resigned of course. But honestly it wouldn't be bad to see him having an important role at Ferrari also. I know that his most successful times with Red Bull but Ferrari has a special place in his heart for sure. When it comes to who will take the team principal job it is really difficult to predict now. I just hope that they find a person who knows what he is doing. Binotto didn't seem likely to make changes in his crew so this might be the main reason why he was expected to leave his job. I assume the new team principle would build his own crew instead of going on with the current one.

I haven't heard a rumour such as Real Madrid are interested in Kane these days. There was a time in the past that they thought about transferring him seriously but they didn't go for him. They haven't felt the absence of a solid striker so far actually. Because they have done an amazing work with Benzema for a long time. He was like one of the best players in Europa last season. However he has been facing with an injury in this season and he couldn't make much contribution to the team.

However Real Madrid are still a very disciplined team that they have still done good in the absence of him. But I don't think this is sustainable. Benzema is also aging and I don't think he can keep the same level of effort in each season as of now. We will see if they will make any attempt for a striker but I don't expect it in January.

This is a pretty dangerous score for USA that's for sure. Their one goal wasn't counted also and it was a really debatable decision by the way. Because they didn't even check VAR and they just let the match go on directly. USA should be able to answer this in the best manner. They were really fully dominant in the first half but things aren't going the same in this half now. Iran have started to balance the game which is a big advantage for them. They are a big threat in such situations.

Because for example we know what they did to Wales after Wales couldn't manage to find the goal they needed. Even one point is enough for Iran here so we had better be ready for a surprise as long as USA don't manage to find the second goal first.

I wonder if Conte would be permanent here depending on Tottenham's performance in the rest of the season. There has been some drop in their performance recently. I mean that it has been like that especially in big matches. But I still don't think that this will create any domino affect on them. Conte is a very experienced and qualified manager. He should be able to create a solution for their performance in this kind of matches as well. The job they have done so far must be satisfying for the fans. But they have a potential to do better than this also.

There were some rumours before like Juventus would have brought him to the job after Allegri's bad run for some time. But it stayed as rumours. Besides Juventus have more serious problems to deal with these days.

Money just doesn't seem to be Ronaldo's priority at least for now. Because he is still passionate about playing for teams that is a participant in the Champions League. He has achieved so many titles and awards in his career so far. He doesn't need to prove anything to himself or anyone actually. It is just about his nature that he is an ambitious person in every condition. Maybe he is this much eager to do this but we don't know how many of this kind of teams will be interested in him in January transfer window.

We have seen rumours about Chelsea maybe but they are focused on finishing the Nkunku deal for now. If they do this then they might not be eager to make another striker signing. I don't believe the rumours about PSG and Bayern Munich also.

Actually Ronaldo didn't score that goal but I also thought that he touched the ball with his head there. It was a really close call as it seems. Even they wrote the goal to Ronaldo first but they changed it to Fernandes later on. It was a really nice goal anyway. Ronaldo was so near getting rid of the "Penaldo" nickname in the World Cup but he missed it by inches.    I don't call him like that of course because he is one of the legends playing football actively still.

Uruguay have been able to balance the game a little more in this half but things are still not going well for them. If this match ends up with a loss for them then I don't think they can reach next stage. Because Ghana have been playing more passionately so far. I don't think Uruguay can beat them.

This would be a pretty interesting transfer in my opinion. I would find it meaningless for PSG also. If you ask me why I would say that they don't need Ronaldo at all currently. They have already built a spectacular trio of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. If they decide to add Ronaldo here also then there would be some problems giving headaches to Galtier. For example how will he make his choices for the starting eleven? There will be more than needed stars in the team in the end.

Let's say Ronaldo will wait in the subs mostly. Then there is no guarantee that Ronaldo won't make it a problem. Maybe we can witness him having similar problems with Galtier this time. PSG should consider all of these before making their final decision.

I respect Dortmund's policies of course. They just don't want to change them while they are making a lot of money. However they still need to improve their performance more in their next matches in the league. Because they should at least be able to keep their title of being the second best team in the league. Making important mistakes in comfortable matches caused them to lose a lot of points so far. Despite making new additions to the defense line somehow they are still struggling about conceding less goals.

Maybe the main problem is their strategies in defense rather than the player quality now. They have conceded 21 goals in 15 matches so far and I hope that the manager is also aware of the seriousness of this problem. They are in the Champions League at the same time maybe but this shouldn't cause them to lose their concentration in the Bundesliga.

The Netherlands - Ecuador match is going on pretty interesting. Including bookmakers, so many people were thinking like Netherlands would be in control and win this match. But there is a very different scenario at the moment. After scoring first I thought that Netherlands would take control of the match early. But this just fired up Ecuador even more. They have found so many goal chances so far and finally scored the equalizer also. First, Estupinan's goal in the final moments of the first half was disallowed by VAR due to offside.

However Ecuador still scored the goal in the first minutes of the second half. E. Valencia scored it again! He has 3 goals in 2 matches already and he is definitely among the players who have drawn a lot of attention to themselves already.

Their main issue in the Champions League was that they were playing really poorly against powerful teams. They were able to defeat only Plzen in the group stage. Can you imagine that? They collected only one point after playing four matches in total against Inter and Bayern Munich. This is like the most alarming issue for Barcelona these days. Otherwise they don't make simple mistakes against weaker teams. Their La Liga performance is the best example for that.

Like I said in the La Liga topic before, Xavi needs to take the tough matches more seriously. He has gained a lot of experience so far. This must be helpful for him in his Europa League matches for example. They have a really tough matchup against Manchester United ahead of them in the end.

Barcelona are actually playing really impressively in general. But somehow they just fail hard in big matches. Maybe it was due to some missing players in the defense line also but it can't be the main reason. Because they were obviously having struggles about scoring goals also. They lost many points because of this in the Champions League especially and it caused them to continue in the Europa League. Normally they should have finished ahead of Inter in the worst case.

This must be mostly related to Xavi's player choices and strategies in that kind of matches. Because we witnessed some bad choices there and it affected their performance deeply. Xavi still didn't give up on doing the same thing in literally every big match. I hope that he has learned his lesson from now on. Because the Europa League will also be important for them.

Indeed Depay's worst times in his career have been with Manchester United so far. He did literally nothing in those times and Manchester United did the right thing by parting his ways with him. Depay isn't the same now maybe but I still have doubts about his possible performance if he comes back. Barcelona are very likely to let him go for free as his contract is expiring next summer also.

However I don't think Manchester United have added Depay to their transfer targets. There is no meaning in giving it another try considering his performance in the past. It would be like Chelsea's huge mistake about signing Lukaku back and witnessing how bad he performed again. As for a possible striker target for Manchester United, I really don't know about a candidate for now.

Arteta has really built a strong system for Arsenal and they have started to get efficiency from all this effort by this season especially. They are like one of the biggest contenders for the English Premier League and Europa League titles both. Arteta has stated before that he doesn't have any plan to leave the team in the near future. However I'm not so sure about this truthfully. The reason why is that he will draw quite a big attention to himself if Arsenal manage to win the Premier League title or even both of them.

You know that he was Guardiola's assistant before also. Maybe in case of Guardiola's departure from Manchester City in the future, we might see Arteta taking his place there. It wouldn't be a bad choice for Manchester City also because Arteta is already familiar with Guardiola's system. Plus, Arteta will be a much more experienced manager by then.

Uruguay - South Korea match was exciting in some parts even though there wasn't any shot on target in the whole match. Godin's header and Valverde's amazing shot both bounced off the goal post. These were the closest moments for Uruguay to score. Nunez also had a good opportunity to score and he tried a finesse but he couldn't find the target. South Korea also had a really absolute goal chance at one point but wasted it generously. Son was also close to scoring a goal.

This can still be considered as a good result for South Korea because they are technically one of the weakest teams of the group. Uruguay have a good potential for next round so they just need to be better at finishing.

Newcastle's clinging to top 4 is depending on especially Tottenham and Liverpool's performances. I don't include Manchester United because I believe they are still a mess now. I mean that they are far away from the spot they should be in the league. This level of performance won't be much of a help for them in the rest of the season also. If they add a good striker to their squad in January then maybe I might have bigger expectations from them. But for now it seems like they will continue to struggle about scoring more than one goal and taking easy wins.

If we come back to the Tottenham - Liverpool topic, Tottenham have struggled in big matches quite much. If Conte creates a solution to this they would be more consistent. They are already doing good in the other matches. Liverpool have been really inconsistent so far but they got two wins lastly. If they return stronger after this break they can finish the season at the third place in the worst case.

Manchester United are indecisive about making a January move for a striker or not. I think they should go for a striker at the earliest opportunity if Rashford and Martial don't improve their performances. Rashford was better than this some weeks ago. He was making use of the chances got in the starting eleven in a really great way. But he started to struggle about scoring goals again. Martial is also not a consistent player. Sometimes we see him being really productive but it doesn't last long.

If they want to be a serious contender for top 4 then they need an improvement in scoring these days. Their incapabilities have caused them to have big problems on getting comfortable wins against much weaker teams. They have really tough opponents aiming top 4 at the same time. Manchester United are like the worst one among them in terms of the amount of scored and conceded goals.

I think we shouldn't write off Inter in this title race. Technically all of these teams are far away from Napoli at the moment. But if we talk about which one of them can end the season at the second position in case of not being able to catch up with Napoli then I can add Inter also among the biggest favourites. There is already a very close gap among Milan, Juventus, Lazio and Inter now.

Inter are better than them in offense right now. Because they have scored 34 goals and it is nearly the same as Napoli's amount. Inter's main issue is with their defense. 22 goals are just too many to concede. Maybe they have some plans about fixing the problems there. One of the ways might be to make new signings for the defense line. Or Inzaghi might make some changes in his defensive strategies. They had better do this immediately as of the upcoming league matches.
