17041  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S5 power suply on: January 07, 2015, 11:59:32 PM
This is the PSU I buy for most of my miners.  I haven't had any issues and would recommend.

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-1300G2-ATX12V-120-G2-1300-XR/dp/B00COIZTZM
17042  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Bitmain Antminer S5 on: January 07, 2015, 11:21:06 PM
Hmm, I wonder if the 660W is due to the 110V or a lower quality PSU?
Here in Aus (240V), my S5 is doing a little over 1.1THs on my pool ( https://www.kano.is/ ) but at the wall it's only 600W
(default settings) but I'm using a Seasonic 1200W Platinum

I'll switch it out for another PSU and retest later today.

RETEST:
I went ahead and hooked it up to a EVGA SuperNOVA 1300G2 80Plus Gold Power Supply.  I also downclocked it with the 325M frequency.  The results were...

1.05TH/s at 563 watts or 0.53W/GH

17043  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: NastyPoP vs Standard P2Pool on: January 07, 2015, 09:33:41 PM
Great thread, jonnybravo0311! Thanks for all the work you've done, and the statistics. Very interesting.

Might switch 5 undervolted S1s I have contributing heat my mother's house over to nastyPOP. Seems like they would be perfect candidates! Only thing that bugs me a bit is the highish 108ms average ping from her place. Too bad there isn't an east coast NA server.

A US server is something that is currently being worked on.  We have the hosting and equipment but nonnakip has some development work to do before that is a reality.  This thread actually inspired a much more thorough look at the NastyPool node to see why we saw such shortcomings compared with jonnybravo's node.  While some of it can be written off as latency, there are certainly other factors at play here that have been identified and are being resolved.  Positive changes are on the horizon that will help both the Standard & NastyPoP payouts made by NastyPool.  I think the disconnect evidenced by jonnybravo's results is going to have a positive impact, and I am thankful to him for that.

Well has anybody bought anything and not received it?

He didn't deliver on the unit I had funds in escrow for and never even gave an excuse.  He is clearly a scammer and not very good at it.
17045  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 07, 2015, 04:30:19 AM
They are being sued in UK, this I know, and they will be losing this game now I think

where can I find information about the UK sue?
thanks

Where did that quote from OgNasty comes from? I didn't see that line in his current post.

That quote is not from me.
17046  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [6 Pre-Orders Left] 5oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: January 07, 2015, 03:26:35 AM
Getting close.  Hmmm...choices...choices.

How big are these?  Based on other 5 oz silver coins, my guess is around 65-75 mm depending on thickness.

What do these come packaged in?  Any airtite, slab and/or presentation box?

They are 2.5" in diameter.  They will come packaged in an airtite capsule.

5 spots left...

Can not say no to all the free stuff. Sign me up for two please.

I got you added on.  Thanks!

EDIT: 1 more sold.  Only 6 pre-orders left.
17048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 06, 2015, 07:48:02 PM
So now after a year they've run out of delay excuses. They've decided that it's more cost effective to charge a $60/mo storage fee per X3 than to actually ship the fucking miner to your customers you pieces of shit low life faggots.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I understood is that if you refuse shipment, that is what they will do.

What I don't understand is where this storage idea came from.  There are still orders that are 15 months old and haven't been delivered, yet BA is acting like they've got a warehouse full of miners and the customers aren't taking delivery.  It's ridiculous.  Charging storage fees for an item that doesn't exist takes this scam to a whole new level.  Instead of charging storage fees, they could easily ship the miner to the next customer in line.  There is no way any reasonable person would find that a company can charge storage fees for a backordered mass produced consumer product.

A quick glance shows that I'm not one of the 50 most trusted members here? That's somewhat shocking to me. I also see that bobsag3 who openly scammed me and had his original username scammer tagged is on the list, adding positive trust for companies like Black Arrow who have stolen hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars from this community.  Very disturbing because I thought the trust system we had in place was working out great and holding up well as evidenced by BFL_Josh's failed trust sabotage experiment. If you pay close attention to your trust network and use it appropriately, it is quite accurate in my opinion. I worry that this new method is already off to a bad start when I see known repeat scammers on the list who would give newbies a positive trust rating for companies like Black Arrow. Again, I just took a quick glance.
17050  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 17 BFL monarch cards IN HAND - Up for sale. on: January 06, 2015, 05:21:11 AM
Probably way off-topic here, but can you give a comparison how noisy/silent they are?
Like a regular desktop computer?

Quieter than my desktop computer.  I'd say it's noise level would be that of a fishtank pump or loud power supply.  In other words, you could sleep in a room with it.  I've owned a lot of miners, but I've never owned a quieter one (except usb stick miners).
17051  Economy / Services / Re: [50% OFF!] [VOUCHED] Papa John's & DOMINO's 4 Cheap! | BTC on: January 06, 2015, 05:17:45 AM
If you'll escrow, I'll place an order tomorrow or Wednesday night.

Yes, that's fine. I allow escrows.

Cool.  I might have to give it a shot as well.
17052  Economy / Securities / Re: NastyPool official on: January 06, 2015, 04:45:52 AM
Some people say a product is not a product until it has a web page. Well now NastyPool has a web page.

https://nastyfans.org/nastypool

Awesome.  I like the username generator.

Bitmain Antminer S5
I picked up our Antminer S5 tonight and got it all setup.  I've got it underclocked for temperature/noise reasons so it's only getting about 1.05TH/s, but it's off and running with no issues thus far.  It's mining with the username AntminerS5-PoP if you wanted to check the miner page to see how it's running.
17053  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Everything I have - MUST LOOK on: January 06, 2015, 02:48:40 AM
Nothing will be shipped.

I know, from how he carries himself it is obvious he is not someone who has thousands of dollars of equipment.  It's funny because he's bashing BTC yet there were lots of us willing to buy this hardware for several thousand dollars instantly.  If that doesn't show some bullishness, I don't know what does.
17054  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Everything I have - MUST LOOK on: January 05, 2015, 09:21:19 PM
Most likely he will not send me a tracking number, will claim the SP31 units were all bought with cash, and we can all move on from this thread.  Although I'd love to be wrong and purchase everything he has.
17055  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Everything I have - MUST LOOK on: January 05, 2015, 09:03:39 PM
OgNasty - I have no printer ink , Address's are written on A4 sheets of paper and attached to the sides of the boxes with sellotape.
I am sorry to inform you that I only have 6 SP31's Left and If I get cash for them before 11am tomorrow morning I won't be sending you a unit and cancelling the escrow.

Red flag #4 & 5 if anyone is counting...
17056  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 17 BFL monarch cards IN HAND - Up for sale. on: January 05, 2015, 06:30:44 PM
They're still quite profitable and the quietest miners out as well as nice little space heaters. I'm not entertaining offers, just saying what I would accept. I agree they are overpriced.

More lke Nonsense-priced

For most people, sure.  Why would anyone pay a higher $/GH for lower efficiency?  Seems dumb.  If you needed a default miner that would warm a dorm room without making noise though, they are probably the best out there currently.  I do agree that for a vast majority of miners, it makes absolutely no sense to purchase a Monarch at this point, even at my 70% off of retail price.
17057  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Everything I have - MUST LOOK on: January 05, 2015, 06:26:33 PM
I am finished working for today due to running out of packing tape and red bulls lmao

When do you think you'll be sending out tracking numbers?  Seems odd that you'd box them up and not print the labels while doing so.

I think all device's will be sold by tomorrow if the current trend continues.

From the thread it looks like I'm the only one who has purchased anything.  I assumed people would wait to see if this is legit before placing orders and that they would publicly share who they are using for escrow to help other interested buyers.  Buyers, please trade safely and always use escrow.
17058  Economy / Goods / Re: BitDroneStore - Buy Drones with Bitcoin on: January 05, 2015, 06:16:32 PM
Lol, came here wanting to buy a Drone with BTC, and it ended in scam.

Ya, that totally sucks.  I probably would've ordered one as well if they had the bebop in stock.  I guess you even have to use escrow when dealing with reputable looking merchants nowadays.  I miss the days when newbies would sign up for this forum, post some jokes, and get BTC donations for making people laugh.  Now instead of people joining here trying to actually provide something and become a reputable and respected member, they all just scam.
17059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Review] Bitmain Antminer S5 on: January 05, 2015, 06:11:28 PM
By the way, lucky you with BFL Gear!!!  Great to see those pictures!

(Want one of them...  yes i know it is more pricy when it comes to $/GH but it would be a cool item to have for a display in the future)

I'm not sure "lucky" is the term I would use, but I do indeed have Monarchs.  PM sent.
17060  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Everything I have - MUST LOOK on: January 05, 2015, 05:41:33 PM
OgNasty,

I was about to PM you for the escrow. But are you serious right now.  Please keep us posted and let us know if you bought  all the SP31. He had a similar post here > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=914507.msg10045672#msg10045672

Let us know when you get the tracking

I purchased 1 SP31. I'm as skeptical as everyone should be, but figured my reputation would make me a good guinea pig here. I'll definitely report back on my experience. I also want to go through the GBP transfer process for myself before seeing if acting as an escrow for the rest of these deals is something I want to do.
