1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 28, 2022, 02:17:58 AM
Was listening to local sports radio today and just heard about how Alonzo Ball , for the Chicago Bulls, is getting ready to have surgery soon, and while he expressed a certain level of optimism they did ask him if he thought there would be any change he didn’t come back in 2023 and he simply said that’s the “worst case scenario”. Local sports anchors were saying they wouldn’t count on him coming back at all. Pretty depressing for Chicago Bulls fans.
I think that's the reason why they signed Goran Dragic. The Bulls' management knew that the procedure taken by Ball was not enough so surgery is the only best solution to take that pain away.
A bit sad for Lonzo, this is the prime of his career where he could lead the NBA in assists and be on top of the point guard discussions.
Dragic will definitely be their main ball handler but I doubt he could play at full time so Dosunmu and Coby White should always be ready for a sudden substitution.

Coby White might be the next guard in the line up. But definitely Goran might take his place because of his experience as a play maker, maybe 20 minutes per game might not be as bad for him. Although he is no longer in his prime, I think he can still distribute and score. We have seen some glimpse of his old self with the Nets last season.

As for Lonzo, it's really a gamble that he has to make so that when he comes back, he won't be bothered by that injury and hopefully he can still play at his prime.
1722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Suppose Bitcoin Price start to rise in 6 week to $30,000 -will you buy or sell ? on: September 28, 2022, 01:26:51 AM
It depends on the type of investors. If he is a short term trader then he will definitely want to sell and those who are long term holders will wait until cross the previous ATH. But the truth is that unless global conditions improve, the bearishness will last longer. Many people have doubts whether the price of Bitcoin will reach $30,000 this year or not. However, those who are actual holders of Bitcoin will never try to sell at the stated price.

And it just so happen that the bear trend could last till next year. And then we will have the halving in 2024 and the bull run till 2025. By that time, perhaps the world has recovered from the effect of Covid already and the war that it will coincide with the next bull run that bitcoin and the rest of the crypto market will undergo. So it make sense not the sell even if it rises to $30k just because a whale pushes it. Might be good to buy at the current state of the market.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 27, 2022, 10:22:00 PM
Bitcoin may remain silent but this is only the silence before the storm.

XRP is a coin that can be different from the others, when most markets are red but XRP can rise and increase more than 50%, this proves high trust in XRP after they won a lawsuit a year ago.

Nah, it's no different from any other altcoin in the market. And we can't compare it to Bitcoin obviously. What's interesting is how their case will turn out. If they win against SEC it will be a big boost for them, and for the market per se.

Just look it this way, this is the first time that the SEC will lost a case against crypto projects, so this will set a precedence, "A Ripple effect" across. SEC can't file any more cases against projects and says that they are security or any projects for that matter.

And so far this is the countries that have been affected by this malware:

1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: All Eyes On Bitcoin’s Monthly Close on: September 24, 2022, 12:55:51 AM
I am no crypto bear, I am a long time crypto bull but you need to look at the macro. Yields are hitting highs, stocks are about to break yearly lows. Last months inflation was higher than expected. Last employment numbers werent what we wanted to see.

Looks like there is going to be a major correction on housing. Winter is coming and it'll be worse for Europe.

Right now is best to stay put.

Same here in our country, we have weakening exchange against the dollar, the highest for our country in the last 10 years or so. And this could be a sign that the worst is yet to come, but blue chips to crypto. So there could be another correction to come due to inflation and the fed rate hike.

Anyhow, we could wait for everything to settle down, or buy when the price hits low of $18k to mid. And then continue to wait till it goes further down to bottom around $15k.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 23, 2022, 02:24:56 AM
No doubt about that! Haney's definitely have the higher hand here in this rematch while Kambosos's chances are much lower compared to their first encounter. We saw how Haney schooled Kambosos that made the latter look like an amateur boxer, we expected differently but Haney's IQ will always prevail compared to Kambosos.

He's more prepared, and he knows how to play Kambosos I mean like what you said he schooled Kambosos by not letting him to make a close conversion which may lead him to win, Haney's style is more on defense and just throw punches when he sees good opening, but in terms of wasted effort Haney is limited in doing that, and if that will be the same thing Kambosos chance to push Haney to engage with him do have smaller chance.

Haney will just keep what he got and let Kambosos to try cornering him, but the defense will be solid and with his quick hands countering and throwing converted punches is where he will rely.

This might be against the majority idea but I do not think that Kambosos will be idle like that without any planning and change of strategy.  I also think that Haney will be the crowd favorite but if Haney sticks to his boxing style during their first match and Kambosos found a way to crack it then we can probably be in for a surprise in this rematch.  Kambosos is capable of that act since he has done it during his fight against Lopez.

Since the rematch is in Australia then we can expect another pro-Kambosos crowd. But I won't be surprised if the crowd will be booing Kambosos if he won't let his hands go. Kambosos needs to punch in bunches otherwise he cannot out-jab a jabber. He cannot outpoint a technician. The answer is simple, he fights like what he showed in the Lopez fight and he will have a chance to win. Kambosos will become a laughing stock even in his native Australia if he losses easily to Haney in this rematch.

Yes, and I would say the fans are going to support him win or lose. But if at some point in the fight that it become boring, or not very entertaining, the fans will boo either boxer. Well he can beat him to the punch, and he should be the first one to jab Haney and then if he counter then George should go punch in bunches to shake off Haney. Hist mentality with the Lopez is very different when he fought Haney. He seems to be settled against Haney. And he pull a stunt if I'm not mistaken about not making weight the first time. So it really didn't went that way to him isn't it.
1727  Economy / Gambling / Re: Euphoriabet.io NO KYC Crypto Esports Betting and Roulette on: September 23, 2022, 01:45:00 AM
Thanks for saving me time to read about their ToS because it's clearly misleading to see "No KYC" in the OP.

In any case, we have another casinos here, and the competition is going to be tough for new ones because some casinos have established themselves.

Nevertheless, it will be a challenge to the new ones like Euphoriabet.io. Although they are more focused on Esports and I don't think majority here are into it.
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: btc alternatives to use when withdrawing from the exchange on: September 23, 2022, 01:24:24 AM
As far as I make withdrawals using stable coins there are no problems whatsoever. but I prefer to use TRX because it is cheap and fast. Some say that stable coins sometimes also have their own risks, because there is no clarity whether stable coins are really backed up or not. but I'm sure if it was BUSD they would be safe.

Yes, USDT is a good stable coin to used as far as deposit and withdrawal. I understand the risk, but so far I haven't encountered any on USDT so I still prefer to used them.

So what I do is from BTC->USDT if I'm doing P2P in Binance. I know you can do it BTC right away, but I prefer to convert it to USDT first.

As for altcoins, Doge or Xrp, I used them before for depositing in an exchange and gambling platform, they are very cheap as fast. So look for them as good alternatives as well.
1729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stressful crypto market on: September 23, 2022, 12:34:00 AM
Previously, many people could not buy BTC for the reason that it was expensive and the amount was small. Is this already on the verge of Dropping Deadline???
Better not to look in the charts or simply wont look into your portfolio so that you wont really be that easily get distracted nor tempted for you to sell on panic which it is really that common that people would really be doing such action whenever that they cant able to handle up their emotions. This market is indeed stressful but doesnt mean that you cant really able to bare on it at least because if you do make yourself that versatile
and be aware on what are the things that happening around then you could really able to adapt and this is a must thing to be done by someone on dealing with an unpredictable market. This is indeed stressful but its
part of the problems that you would be facing on if you do choose to deal with this market.

You can look at the data but definitely it's up to you on how you are going to analyze it to your advantage. And again, I'm not seeing the price too expensive, I mean can still buy at sats and not full bitcoin. So how it is expensive then for us? even average joe can buy  $50 or $100 per month.

Yes, the market is stressful, just learn how to mitigate risk and just it is around if people are afraid to trade because of the current market situations. It is very volatile, but you can take advantage of it by slowly invest on the money can you afford to lose.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 23, 2022, 12:12:35 AM
This will be his tune-up fight against Haney because I believe Haney will eventually prevail against Kambosos in their rematch and he has a good tune fight against Ortiz, the Loma - Haney is the fight that we all want to happen and hopefully, they will not fail the boxing community's expectation, there are a lot of great fights happening now and making the fight happen between the two is good for the boxing community, and for everybody's pocket as well.

Somehow I read some rumors that Haney is evading Lomachenco since the person believed that Lomachenco's style is devastating to Haney's defensive style.  Is it possibly true that Lomachenco can really crack those defenses of Haney?  Well, I believe it is more interesting to watch Kambosos against Lomachenco since watching Haney's fight is really boring since he adopted the Mayweather defensive boxing style.

And if Kambosos will win, just like what you said, Haney may wait or fight somebody else first because their trilogy will be second priority as likely the demand for Kambosos-Loma is much heavier.

I find it more exciting to see a Lomachenco - Kambosos fight than Haney - Lomachenco.  Though Haney - Lomachenco fight is quite interesting due to the question - can Loma break Haney's defense?

Well, if Lomachenko also passively conducts a fight with Haney as he did with Lopez, then it will be a rather boring fight in my opinion, yes, in a fight with Lopez he had something to lose and he acted cautiously, but it didn't work. But Lomachenko fight with Kombosos would be very interesting to watch.

I don't know if you knew that Lomachenko is injured during that fight with Lopez? He had problems with his shoulder that's what he was very tentative against Lopez and can't throw as many punches as we want during that fight. So after, it has been operated, made a comeback and beat a good boxer in Nakatani and Commey. So for sure if Lomanchenko is healthy 100%, he will not be as passive, but will continue to attack Haney in any angle and test his defense and how he will crack it.
1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top mistakes of newbies in crypto on: September 22, 2022, 11:57:02 PM
Maybe just 'invest what you can afford to lose' in the market?

I think everything boils down to this adage. If we know that the money that we invested in the first place is at big risk. So we don't put too much expectations on it.  And the worst is that it can put a tool not just on your wallet, but on you mental healthy if you think you can get your money right away with huge profits in crypto.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will not survive the bear market? on: September 22, 2022, 03:04:24 AM
Does surviving or not depend on the amount of demand?
Or does it depend on the quality of the tech behind the project? Those 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand.
It depends on several points, not only on the amount of demand but also on the utility, trust, people behind, strong team, promotions, fundamentals, and also other values. It is not easy to build the trust and reputation to make certain altcoins become very valuable. There may be projects that seem too good to be true, but in fact, they cannot realize the utility of the projects because they are once more, too good to be true.
Many projects are failed to realize their use case and also road map due to the hard competition in the crypto industry, moroeverthe projects that are only following the hype, like the meme coins, Defi project types, games, and many others. As long as they are only following, the perentage to grow up and survuve during this beairhs era is very small.
That's true, There are many factors in order for a project to survive. A project can't survive on just a single factor. We've seen many project that has a lot of demand on it's release but after sometime it's going down because project seems lacking of other factors that makes other project survive even on bear market. I believe that having a strong team, team seriousness, good fundamentals and project utility is one of the most important factors that makes project survive on every part of the market cycle.

and with those considerations, we need to accept the fact that most alts were created for the benefit of the dev team and not with real intention of surviving and diligently following up their published objectives. only few of these thousand alts can keep up with their targets. and with those few alts, you can only count with real and active usage in the market. sad to say, you can only see serious goals in top alts.

Yes, it's a open secret here in crypto market that those developers are just for pure money grab. They will create a meme coin, then market it here or somewhere else, wait for investors to come in. And when the time is right, they are going to sell their shares without anyone noticing it.

And it's going to continue, despite this bear market, there are still a lot of alts that will be born this way. Just like for example, when the Queen of England die, maybe meme coins pop up and supposedly to give respect to her. But it's not the case.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2022, 02:21:45 AM
That 4 year deal was already as a good as what he wants to make. Well, he probably have that proud issue then and thought that many teams would like to get him.

He thinks that he is more valuable than a 4-year $84 Million. Sometimes there are players who think they are at the point of their very best performance. Not wrong at all but at least he was able to open his eyes to reality. That deal is already good but since he believes other teams will offer him a $100M deal, that's not what happened.

Not late though. Schroder can show what he got on this season and see if he will be eligible for a much decent contract later on.

Yes, he is still very young, yeah, be become a sensation when he turn that huge contract and then decided to play at Celtics with just 1 year contract and obviously less money.

So it's time for him to show his talent once again with Los Angeles, and maybe they will offer him some better options next year.

Anyone heard of Jae Crowder wanted to be traded by Phoenix suns? it just pop up on my feed but I haven't read the story yet.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 22, 2022, 02:07:03 AM
The way PBC is treating Crawford, I don't they will be able to sign him if he beats Spence except for a 1 or 2 fights deal that would guarantee a title shot against undisputed super middleweight champion Jermell Charlo. After that, I think he is headed to DAZN.

As a knowledgeable in boxing, do you think that regardless of who will win on this match between Spence and Crawford, they will face Jermell Charlo next at the super middleweight?

Or a rematch is bound to happen first?

I really like that this fight between Spence and Crawford should happen now to now end the issues of who's the best in the Welterweight and finally will move on to their next plan.

There is a high chance that a rematch is bound to happen first regardless of the result, I don't think that Spence or Crawford will just move-on without having a second bout to try and settle their scores. Also, a rematch clause was stated and that's expected as this is an undisputed fight and a measurement on who's really the best boxer in the welterweight division.

I also will go with this speculation, if there is a rematch clause, then it's definitely bound to happen. But I guess it's more of the money that they will get on the rematch and so obviously, they will go for it.

154 lbs can wait for this two, their rematch will be more lucrative for least say a Charlo fight. Charlo is good no doubt, but it could sell less as compare to Crawford vs Spence II.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 21, 2022, 08:39:33 AM
Biggest news in the NBA today… LeBron has finally decided to go bald. No more crazy headband and hair plugs. I think this can only be a good thing for him. I’m expecting Bald Bron to go hard this year, as his championship window is rapidly closing. I’m glad his hairline won’t be a distraction any more. It seemed like that was taking up more of his time than it should have been.

That was crazy. Father time is indeed calling him not through his physical capacity but with his hair on his head. The hairline did not held back for long and just decided to get bald.
I am excited for the next season because there are a lot of young bloods who does looks promising. I wanna see how the old players like Lebron would catch up to the new generation players.

You mean rookies? yeah, but there is one that we will not going to see this season and that is Chet because he injured himself.

Lebron should have done it years ago, go bald because of his receding hairline. Nevertheless, should not bother him at all, it's his performance that is going to count this season. New team mates, new coach, we will see how Lebron is, how his body will perform against the young blood.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: September 21, 2022, 08:07:14 AM
At the end of it all no play to earn games can gives player the satisfying reward they deserve, there is no unlimited reward in play to earn games, the only thing that matters is how fun the game can get, people needs to feel like ' well I am ok with the fun more than the payout' its not how much people are going to be earning its how much fun people will have. The game needs to be addicting enough. Am I wrong?

The thing with this p2e is that players look for more challenge, and if you have been playing a game for so long that you might get bored and yes, you won't be satisfied as like when you started to play with it in the beginning.

So you look for other games, and then the cycle repeats until such time that the industry no longer has the hype that it once had specially Axie in 2020. Yes, it's need to be addicting at some point so that players will go back and play again and again, but unfortunately, it is not the case.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino and prisons on: September 21, 2022, 01:54:21 AM
Obviously, if these are the license providers we have known today, it's impossible that a license will be given to operating a casino inside the premises of a prison. If you are referring to big bosses in the prison, they can operate gambling operations inside even if it's illegal, of course with the help of big people outside.
I have no idea what is legal and what is not when it is about casino licensing. If it's a crypto gambling site then it can operate without having any license but they will need to build a good reputation over the years which is not as easy as to have a valid license.

Still borderline case, so it's hard to know how it can be legal to have casinos inside the prison. And it jut says the sheriff has the authority that time and maybe with the collusion with the jail warden, they allow it to prosper for years.

Mafia bosses might be a different story in prison though, we've seen and heard that even inside, they have total control of everything from inside the prison to outside.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: September 21, 2022, 01:34:39 AM
This might have a impact on El Salvador because,  President Bukele says he will seek re-election.

As per report, it's constitution doesn't allow the current President for reelection, but it seems Bukele wanted to run after his term in 2024. I think it will be critical for bitcoin as well, because if the next President suddenly make a U-turn on the country's stance on Bitcoin and vetoed, then maybe we will see the country no longer synonymous with bitcoin's adoption. Or if he is allow to run and then win again, obviously, it might continue to grow in the next 4-6 years in El Salvador alone.
1739  Economy / Speculation / Re: do u think the BTC bottom is in...? on: September 20, 2022, 11:49:24 AM
It is not easy to speculate about what bitcoin will do because it is such a volatile asset. Sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down and we never really know what happens. All we can do right now is to wait for it to go up, and if it goes down that would be upsetting but that's about it, we can't really make anything happen by ourselves, and if it goes down even further then we just need to wait some more.

Also, you failed to include about the cycle, there are two types, the bear and bull cycle. And as we know, the bear market is where the price go down hard that there are people who are afraid to invest.

What people do not understand is that you could buy to get ready for a higher price, but you can't do anything about the price going down, and that is why you shouldn't be worrying about it, just wait for it to recover, that's all you can do and maybe DCA if you have some more money.

The best thing to do is just to accumulate thru DCA in this bear market. This is a win-win situation for all of us. Maybe it's not for all, specially those that I have mentioned, they fear when the market is very volatile and the prices is down. And with that, I can only speculate that the bottom might be reach next year, right before the halving.

Unfortunately, a bitcoin addresses doesn't have a corresponding name, so it will be hard to find out who is the people behind this address.

@sheenshane - I'm not saying that it can be done, but it might cost the OP more than what he lost here. So it will be a futile attempt to contact Chainalysis or any other blockchain company.

I'm sorry to burst the bubble to the OP, but it seems that he already lost his money to this scammers.
