Can you imagine completely private chat / messaging features between mobile devices, in addition to private transfers of currency? That is revolutionary... and ShadowCoin will have this... tomorrow.

Seems that SDC is following same type of price pattern as CLOAK in it's early days.
I don't know but I wanted to find pattern in alt coins. And I went to Marketcoincap and looked at the top 30 coins. 180 days ... for cloak and shadow I used 45-90 days because they very young. And tada.. Darkcoin also needed some months... Vericoin has a quite similar pattern to Cloak imo as well and yeah some more coins to see the same pattern. In the end why is Darkcoin on top? Because Evan proofed that he don't go away and development is ongoing... ...just my opinion money will go through all coins and maybe Darkcoin is the mother of all "Shadowcoins" and tells us where the price goes. |

Hello everyone! First I want to say: I`m new in this forum (really new, never had an account) but not so new in Crypto. Second: My english is not the best. Therefore I might verbalize a bit laborious. I`m invested in a few coins, but mostly in Cloak. I bought in at around 60k and bought some more in the range of 200k after the drop. What I think about the current price is: It`s fair and it`s good. Why? Cloak is very very young. The Devs did a great job so far, but today nobody knows if all the promises will be realized. That`s not FUD, it`s a simple fact. And: Some investors bought in very cheap and a few probably very much because they`ve seen the potential. So its really needed, that some of them sell some of their stocks. Everyone of them could crash the price even if it would be 50 Dollar. So, distribution is really needed. But: In this early stages there is no run on Cloak. The price doesn`t recover that fast as some would like to see it. But also: If the Devs make true what they`ve intended there will be a run. For me personally, Cloak is a simple bet. If Cloak, PoSA, OneMarket etc. will work as promised, 10 Dollar would be cheap... I think 20 Dollar would be cheap (LTC were about 30 Dollar with over 30 Mio of LTC). If not, the current price is high and another coin will win the race. But I think, Cloak has the best chances. I don`t know much about coding but I understand the principals and I think decentralization is the most important. If cloak will be delivered as intended, it will be decentralized and it will be truely anonymous. That would be the cash of the net. And that means: Real money would find into cloak, not just speculative Money. I analyze simple principles and some of them more in a psychological way. I always take a look to a Developer-Team, how they communicate, how they deliver. For me, delays are good signs if I see also communication. It stands for perfectionism and thats really needed. Also I try to figure out if the intentions of a development team are honest-longterm. And sure, every Developer wants to make profits, too. But I try to find Dev-Teams on the market who think longterm and have the skills to do it longterm. And thats why I think, Cloak is a great bet. Because I see all I want to see in the project and the Development-Team. Can we be sure that cloak will be on top of the decentralized-anonymous-Cryptos? No. Will there be setbacks? Yes. Some of them just because of FUD, some maybe true setbacks. But if.... Cloak (PoSA, OneMarket and all what will come) some day will work as intended it will be huge. To come to an end: A great project needs time. A great crypto needs distribution. Everybody who think, Cloak will be delivered as intended should buy. Everyone who thinks, he can`t bear the setbacks should sell... Everyone who is sure, that Cloak will become the Cash of the net should buy as much as he can. Everyone who think Cloak will die in weeks or months should sell all (and maybe buy in later if he is wrong .... Really simple.  A great post Tempus, makes a lot of sense. yeah thinking 100k is new floor.
It can bleed to 30k-60k if there is still no promising updates or news from the devs and all it gets is a sea of FUD. Though fud is good though at least there is activity and someone still cares for the coin, unlike coins getting no hype or fud at all which is mostly headed to pure oblivion sub 10k or 1k satoshi. Funny .. please read the thread in my signature. The Developer Team delivered as promised. POSA News came.. drop by 100%. FUD today... price increase a bit.. It seems like good news, well development and hitting ETA's don't bring anything. Crypto World is different. Don't hit me with that but I remember Alty said Escrow the week after, so this week. I am sure there will be an update on One Market this week as well ( with Update I mean hopefully a testing round with X11Joe) Good that at the moment the coins hopefully going into the right pockets, still a lot of investors / believers here |

I just looked up Vericoin and Darkcoin and the pattern seem to be same.. 180 days chart. Big hype after some time (we had this last week ) then downtrend.. mostly it took around 2-3 months to grow steady.
Cloak is 1 month old. Patience.

Everybody is very unhappy because CLK has tanked.
Thread turns from constructive optimism to destructive snarling. Everybody sniping at everyone else - standard procedure for all cryptos during the price consolidation phase.
Whatever side of the debate your on, the fact is that the pump is done. Everything that the devs could possibly do to this coin was priced in to that pump to 34 and from now on, price evolution will reflect the fact that this is a "post-pump" phase coin.
Just hope the price gets buoyed enough to offload at a minimal loss.
I see it completely different. I cannot predict anything but from my critical understanding when POSA v3-4 and One Market is released and works and we get Cloakpal going (I assume something like Paypal?) then it is more worth than 1 Darkcoin.. no offense to DRK they doing great but right now from the innovation point of few we near to head up with DRK. Same amount of coins so why to be 3 times less worth than DRK? I see it the same way if the eco system of one market works this will be really huge... just think about getting investors in to make a big marketing campaign and run through BBC and Techcrunch e.g. See BTC.com ... Josh and Gawminers.. he has investors in his neck getting money to launch gawminers and spend huge amounts in Marketing to get #1 and overtake KNC. Now the hosting service struggled so he bought Zenminers which have got amazing Hosting (I am myself customer no complains at all) and now.. ZENMINER is invite only... so a fucking smart move imo. Creating a lot of desire now by limiting the supply.Now he has his Project Prime and he bought BTC.com for 1 Million $ ... lets see where this all is going , but that is how you execute imo. I don't know his books and I don't know if they make money but we will see in 1-2 years if this all worked out. Quite interesting the crypto world.. Bitcoin getting more and more mainstream lets see if Cloak can reach this goal also.. atm it's a lack of trust and understanding here at Cloak. .. I can tell everyone to test the wallet by yourself and test POSA by yourself and try to find the block etc pp. than you see if it is working or not and with ongoing development the trust and understanding will come back. |

Can I just delete everything except the wallet.dat and then restart the wallet?
I had problems with the new wallet yesterday. and for me it helped creating a new wallet.dat. When you delete everything you have to download the whole blockchain agin which may take several hours. Only way I was able to get it to completely sync was to add more nodes from the block explorer. Unfortunately I'm still showing not connected to PoSA less than 1 node available even after deleting the peers.dat file and restarting the wallet.  Please join our IRC if the Wallet Q&A is not enough information for you. As well it need some time to find Anons, I had yesterday a peak with 17. We had around 60 people in the IRC the last 24 hours and everyone helped by the community or in the end a developer. Looking forward to see you there! Cheers Chris |

Ich find den Thread hier auch echt klasse.
Kommt mir so vor als ob wir alle in 90% der Fällen Gewinn machen!
Vllt. sollten wir uns zusammen tun und quasi ein altcoininvestclub gründen.
Stell mir da eine doodleähnliche Seite vor, wo jeder seine Empfehlungen/Coins in die er investiert einträgt.
Oder so was ähnliches^^ der gedanke kam mir grade spontan.
Um die Idee von Hermann nochmal aufleben zu lassen: Wie wäre es mit einem Altcoin-Trading-NXT-Asset (eine Art Fonds), wo jeder investieren kann? Das Handeln würde dann eine Zentrale Instanz für alle Mitglieder übernehmen. Es gibt dann ein Komitee (wie bei den Rittern der Tafelrunde  ) wo entschieden wird was gekauft und verkauft wird bzw. in welche IPOs investiert wird, wann und ob die IPO Coins verkauft werden. Entscheidungen werden vom Komitee übernommen bzw. auch durch Polls oder Gemeinschaftskonsenz, bald soll ja auch eine Art voting über das NXT System möglich sein. - Realisierte Gewinne werden dann in Form von Dividenden ausgezahlt entsprechend Anteile vom Gesamtasset. Alternativ können auch neue Assetanteile ausgegeben werden. Komiteemitglieder bekommen einen lohnenswerten Bonus für das Handeln. - Realisierte Verluste schmälern den Gesamttopf entsprechend. Später kann eben dann weniger reinvestiert werden. Ich finde mit etwas Geschick, lassen sich gute Profite erzielen. Bleibt noch die Sache des Trust zu klären. Ich habe kein entsprechendes Rating und auch fehlt mir mangels Zeit die Möglichkeit die Käufe und Verkäufe richtig zu timen. Man kann das auch mit Doodle/Trello/Twitter als Kommunikationsplattform kombinieren. Wie findet Ihr die Idee? Gute Idee, schwere Umsetzung aus meiner Sicht. Nen Fond aufsetzen geht nicht von heute auf morgen, wegen dem Trust. |

Maybe we should all not discuss about the price, but think and work to let it grow?
If everyone here would spread the word about working POSA v1 , coming V2, coming Audit and coming Onemarket then we could get new investors in the coin which will help us not to rely on dump and pump in long term.
We need loyal investors who believe in this project and in the team.
Just my opinion... too much talk about the price, too less talk about the coin and Marketing itself.

It's quite funny to see a coin rising without news in crypto world. Seems like a good investment. But maybe it is again buy on rumor, sell on news ..lets see ! Slowly is good.

POSA can't be open source, now and never ! if it is open soure, then cloak trade and one market will be hack.

I will change my article. from dagger: PoSA has been a closed source build, to protect it from cloning but when PoSA v2 launches expect a full audit from cryptographer/s or code analyst/s with the aim of adding an extra level of "trust and authenticity" in our work.take a close look by yourself, it is obviours that u want misguide people believe what u said Yes that what he said and I think it is right to do so. |
