1721  Economy / Economics / Re: What roles does the poor play in the Economy? on: June 24, 2023, 12:07:04 PM
If people in a country are poor, it means the country is not in good hands of the government, it means the country's economy is poor. It means there is huge unemployment in the country. It means that what the country is producing and their man power is low.

Share your ideas on the importance of the poor masses in economy sustainability.
Poverty is not good and it has no importance to the economy. It can only make the rich people in such country to be more influential and be more respected by the poor people. But speaking of an economy, poverty is the opposite of a good economy.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: June 24, 2023, 11:47:06 AM
Galatasaray was the strongest team last season but I think Fenerbahce will be back this year and winning the title, their problem the last season were inconsistency and some failed games no one would have expected of them, this resulting in Galatasaray winning the title as they did not make as many errors as Fenerbahce did. This last season was not good at all for Turkish teams in European competitions compared to what they are able to achieve usually and I think in this upcoming Champions League season Galatasaray needs to go past group stages or at least to go to Europa League direct elimination stage as a minimum.
Fenerbahce made error or not, the club started with zero points as Galatasaray started. There would be some weakness in the other clubs before a club can win a title. It would have been said to be a mistake if Galatasaray won with just 1 or 2 points ahead of Fenerbahce, but Galatasaray won with 8 points. That is still huge, even if not that huge. Be it Fenerbahce make error or not, Galatasaray won before the 36 matches played.

About going for Champions League, Galatasaray will have to play champions league qualification which I thought is not a group stage but rather a knockout stage, or am I wrong?. While Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Adana Demirspor will play for Europa League qualification.
1723  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to integrate lightning network on: June 24, 2023, 11:10:16 AM
I am afraid that there will be an option to withdraw wrapped tokens on the Lightning Network, that they obtain bitcoins from customers and sell them fake tokens that have no guaranteed value, and just because its value is equal to 1 bitcoin, this does not mean that it has value.
Wrapped token on lightning network? It is not a matter of guessing, it is not possible.

If other exchanges follow Binance to integrate lightning network payment for bitcoin transaction, more people will use lightning network.
There's already quite a few exchanges that integrated lightning network like Kraken, Bitfinex, Bithumb, Bitstamp, OkeX, Bitmex etc (you can gind full list here so Binance is not really leader in that regard.

With that being said, Binance has by far the most users so them implemeting LN will have more effect than the others. Another big exchanges that sort of announced that they plan to implement LN (their CEO mentioned it few months ago) but unfortunately no news regarding that.
We have talked about this in some threads in the past, you can check a topic I posted long time ago about exchanges that are supporting lightning network for people to take advantage of low fee lightning network on such exchangs:

Using lightning for bitcoin low fee on exchanges

Also another is the lists on this thread:

Congested mempool & LN

But just that to every wallet and exchange that is supporting lightning network for bitcoin payment, lightning network usage will increase. And as you said, Binance is not a small exchange, it is the biggest exchange in the world and which will help in lightning network usage.
1724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Makers and Takers fees on: June 23, 2023, 02:24:03 PM
Taker Fee: Order Value × Taker Fee Rate (0.06%)
Yes.

Also Bybit Order history page which shows only basic info on sell  from top menu Orders -> Unified Trading Account -> USDT Perpetual  does not show transaction fee amounts, or am I missing something ?
Go to order history on your future trading account, you will see it there. Here is an example of buy and sell order 0.06% fee on bybit account:

You can see the fee paid.

Assuming the fee charged is 0.06% and you opened a position, the fee would be deducted. Did you know that another fee would be deducted for closing position? You have to calculate the fee for opening and closing position.

You can take advantage of the market maker fee which is 0.01% for closing position. You can do that by setting take profit at a particular price. Also stop loss will make the position close as a market maker. Instead of closing it yourself at a market price. But the choice is yours as a scalp trader.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2023, 11:44:49 AM
I can not sell my land or property to buy bitcoin. It will make me look like I am risking too much and which could affect me. My property remain my property and the land will continue to increase in value too. This is what I will think and I will not sell my land. Sometimes it is not about the profit, but diversification.

Out of the money I am seeing weekly, I can buy bitcoin using DCA, or can save the money weekly and keep it until bitcoin fall to certain price and buy. I use money to buy bitcoin directly, I mean from my salary, but my properties not what I can sell.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 06:47:57 AM
Futures unlike gambling. The main thing in future must be consistency. The more money you put in the future and the more profit you will get.
There can be consistency and also consistent loses in derivative trading.

Future can be a life change as long as you will able to predict the future. Remember, like some people were shoring luna before it crashes and it was giving hundreds times of return for the trader.
Remember that if the trade go against a trader's direction, it can also be a huge loss.

It is not only about shit coins, but trading shit coins is one of the reasons for failure in the derivative market and leading to consistent losses, but there are more to derivative trading.

Some people are using too much leverage and their trading asset or assets do get liquidated often.
1727  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price hitting 30k twice this year. on: June 23, 2023, 06:16:07 AM
Now, in the current resistance situation of bitcoin in the exchanges, we can notice that its motions are not so aggressive, which means that there may be positions to lift towards 33k$ if the support is broken, and if not, the motion is possible. it is still a downtrend.

So, we can't accurately measure where its direction is due to its volatility, that depends on what updates will be made on the news about Bitcoin or crypto.
You mean if the resistance is broken, not the support.

Let us see what will happen. Some analysts believed that bitcoin may first go to $28000 first, but it is like $30000 is becoming the support price now. If it maintain this, likely it might go up. But some people may still sell at around $31000 as many of them see it as the resistance price for now. If the bulls win, bitcoin may increase further above $31000.
1728  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to integrate lightning network on: June 23, 2023, 06:07:38 AM
And here you are right. Most users will not create their own nodes. Will this affect decentralization? We'll see.
Because of the lightning network technicalities, people can not go through the stress of the technical know how about having lightning nodes, setting up a channel and making use of noncustodial lightning wallets for it. Even on some wallets that are noncustodial, you can see a centralized lightning network on it in a way that only what the wallet users needs is the payment invoice, just as it was on Bluewallet before.

This is very funny, the fee for withdrawing to BEP20 is cheaper than the fee for withdrawing to the real blockchain in filecoin, it was mainly promoted because using BEP20 is cheaper and faster. It is difficult to find a faster blockchain than BSC because they are fully centralized, there are only 21 validators and these validators are all connected to Binance even if there is an error Smart Chain will be Halted.
I mean the fee for withdrawing filecoin is cheaper, yet Binance ki6ed about faster confirmation for its BEP20.

Do not trust what you see Binance doing. Filecoin transfer from noncustodial wallet to another noncustodial wallet takes some seconds, not more than 15 to 20 seconds. You can try that if you think that I am wrong. Although, its withdrawal on Binance is also fast but they are representing it wrongly.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 05:47:02 AM
Trading requires more skills, knowledge and experience, but it is not that far from the risks that gambling poses. If someone is not careful,  future trading can wreck someone's life in just few seconds, minutes, hours or days. But the chance to make more money is in future trading is higher if learned. If I should go for one, I will prefer to trade, but that does not mean I can leave gambling too because trading and gambling are different and I like the fun I derived from gambling. Some people are not gambling for money, but traders are not trading for fun.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 23, 2023, 05:38:34 AM
I was taking this as a joke yesterday when I saw this thread, I just decided not to post until I have been seeing this on other online places which I think it is becoming something serious. The martial art competition odd is even on some gambling sites by now with Mark Zuckerberg having the lowest odd of around 1.2 while Elon Musk is having odd of around 4.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu trained Zuckerberg and it is believed that Zuckerberg would win the match. I will not be surprised if the match did not occur at all, but if it occurs, let us watch what is fun.

Zuckerberg seems like softer guy in this duel. We never saw his aggressive mental even in cases at court in my opinion. On the other hand Elon always liked to play "the bully". But it was fake in my opinion. I guess Zuckerberg may have advantage over age. He is much younger than Elon. Both its hard to know about their physicality. They don't seem like heavy gym hitters. Anyways fight will obviously be very hilarious. I hope they won't cancel it saying its a joke.
Age is another thing that should be considered. Zuckerberg is 39 while Musk is 51. I do not expect a 51 year old man to be as strong as a 39 year old man. But that is not only what can be used to determine a fight. Although what I have seen to be analysed is that Zuckerberg is having more chances to win the fight.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 03:43:31 PM
Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?
Only what I can tell you is to be very careful of anyone that is telling you that you can cheat a gambling site, be it casino or sport betting. There are some people that can be decoyed to pay and are scammed, given what would be used to do the cheat a casino or sport betting site and they lose again. They are scammed and they lose money to the gambling site. Two losses at once.
1732  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price hitting 30k twice this year. on: June 22, 2023, 12:15:31 PM
I was thinking that bitcoin price will hit around $37500 - $40000 this year before it will fall back to $20000. It went up to $31000 the first time, which we were expecting, but fall back to $25300 which was a big support price as it fall to around $25300 several times in days.

This time, again it went up to almost $31000 and not going beyond that price. If bitcoin do not go up beyond this price within a week, it would be the resistant price and bitcoin may not go up further for now.

If bitcoin do not go up further, we should be expecting downtrend and if it mistakenly go below $25000, we should expect $20000 again.
1733  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to integrate lightning network on: June 22, 2023, 08:19:33 AM
Doesn't it seem like Binance is charging way too much because they use the same fee as BTC (0.0001 based on your image)? I don't think it cost that much to transfer wrapped tokens on ETH unless the network is heavily congested. I guess they do this to prevent users to abuse it and at the same time misleadingly led them to believe that Binance chain is the better alternative because it is cheaper. CMIIW.

[Note the attempts to indirectly promote BSC, cheaper fees and less confirmation time, as on average, the transaction confirmation time is supposed to be from 10 minutes to half an hour, but they mentioned an hour as an average, which is a very far estimate.

THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION FOR ANY ALTCOIN BUT JUST MORE EXAMPLE TO HOW BINANCE IS DISCOURAGING PEOPLE NOT TO USE THE MAIN NETWORK BUT TO USE BSC WITH LIES.

I have noticed Binance doing this manipulation since, not only for bitcoin but also for altcoins. Let me give you an example, as you can see in this image for filecoin withdrawal:

I have withdrawn filecoin before in the past and the withdrawal time is very fast within seconds. I am wondering why the need for those altcoins with cheaper fee to be tokenized on other blockchain like BSC because they have faster withdrawal time. Just like this filecoin, the withdrawal is fast and it has cheaper fee which is the main network. Binance estimated the withdraw time to be 40 minutes which is just manipulation.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 21, 2023, 03:11:08 PM
It is very possible that can happen to a new casino.

But the chance that a punter would win a huge amount of money to run the casino down is very low. As the gambling site is becoming known, more people join to gamble and the more profit they make and the chance that this would happen becoming low.

We should still keep in mind that we should not totally trust a need casino or other gambling sites that are new, we should gamble with far lower amount of money on such casino until the casino is gaining better reputation and having huge online traffic.

You are welcome to Bitcointalk.

I have just registered to know how it works, I first thought it would be like those trading options that you will see the live chart and price of bitcoin, in a way you will choose if it the price will go up or go down before certain time. That should be trading, but also can be categorized as gambling.

When I checked your site, I am new to a game like this, I do not know how it works. I looked for demo or play for fun without using real money yet, but I was unable to see that. It would be good if you add that so that we can use it to test how the game is.

I like the registration, only email was required and a link would be sent to the email which you can click on or copy and paste on a browser to access your account directly.

The UI is old but people will like modern UI. It would be good if you work on that.
1736  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc accelerator sites on: June 21, 2023, 10:48:05 AM
1 sat/vbyte is no longer accepted by most nodes, and therefore it will be rejected and you will not even be able to broadcast it.
Nodes are accepting 9 sat/vbyte of transaction when I check it today.

Bitcoin is so volatile, I think it's a little bit stupid to send transaction with very low fee and wait weeks to get it confirmed, o
It is not stupidity that caused it, ignorance caused it. Some people could have be used low fee and their transactions were confirmed very fast before, but the memory pool suddenly become congested and they have little knowledge about bitcoin transaction.

People that know what they are doing can use low fee and make the transaction to be RBF in a way they can increase the fee at anytime that they want.
1737  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to integrate lightning network on: June 21, 2023, 09:38:16 AM
I'm surprised to see that tweet. I was really expecting them to cancel their plans to implement LN after the fees lowered, especially when they're always trying to push their own version of BTC (WBTC).
Not just WBTC but Bitcoin BEP20 and Bitcoin BEP2  Grin

These options will cause a headache for beginners, imagine that there are 7 ways to withdraw bitcoins and that the cheapest options will be WBTC and Bitcoin BEP20 and there are uses for them or LN without the option to direct exchange it, beginners will definitely prefer WBTC.

wBTC withdrawal fee on Binance is 0.0001 wBTC. With its price at $28992, the withdrawal fee in United States dollars is $2.89, which is expensive it is only on Ethereum blockchain (ERC20) if compared to BEP2 and BSC.

All the coins are altcoins and not bitcoin, except the one with only bitcoin in the image which is the bitcoin. I am just saying that wBTC on Binance is also expensive because it is ERC20 token.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Asset Or Currency? on: June 20, 2023, 03:32:53 PM
In your opinion, bitcoin is an asset or a currency?
Bitcoin is an asset. Bitcoin is also a currency.

If bitcoins were currency, it would be complicated if bitcoins were used to buy cheap things, transaction fees would be very expensive
People can use bitcoin to purchase something. I have used bitcoin before to purchase something online. Bitcoin is a currency. There are sometimes that the fee is cheap and you can use lightning payment.

Some people are using the altcoin side chain like the pegged bitcoin on BSC and other blockchain for payment. But these are not bitcoin though.
1739  Economy / Exchanges / Binance to integrate lightning network on: June 20, 2023, 03:04:25 PM
I found this on Twitter not quite long

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1671042638592589826?t=94anbKIwe7_pXAlnPsIeMA&s=19

#Binance is working to integrate the #Bitcoin Lightning Network for deposits and withdrawals.

Some eagle-eyed users spotted our new lightning nodes recently. Yes - that's us!

However, there's still more tech work to be done. We'll update once Lightning is fully integrated.

If other exchanges follow Binance to integrate lightning network payment for bitcoin transaction, more people will use lightning network.

But one thing about lightning network is centralization, most people are not running their own node and they are using centralized bitcoin lightning wallet.
1740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc accelerator sites on: June 20, 2023, 11:43:28 AM
Broadcasting your transaction doesn't accelerate the confirmation time, it only reminds nodes that your transaction exists and they call it an acceleration.
It only makes their transactions to remain stuck in the memory pool forever until the transaction luckily get confirmed by itself. It gives the inconveniencen of not able to rebroadcast ones coin again because rebroadcasting it makes it to stay in the mempool.

People that will use the accelerator sites do not know about transaction accelerator because they do not have the technical experience about how it works.
