1721  Economy / Speculation / BTC price hitting 30k twice this year. on: June 22, 2023, 12:06:33 PM
Bitcoin price is on it again after a few drop in price at around 25-26k, but hitting the price value of 30k again as it did sometime April this year. What I describe as a gleams of the prospective light at the end of the tunnel of the year 2023.

What are your thoughts on this spontaneous rise again in the price of BTC hitting 30k twice just within the first quarter of 2023. Do you you think it's going to plummet again or do better above 40k? Or is just one of a tempting rise to fall again even below the 25k-26k it did for the past weeks after hitting 30-31k around the month of April?
Please share your thoughts about this.
1722  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Double-digit monthly returns w/ audited records on: June 22, 2023, 11:34:00 AM

Please do not waste my time and I will not waste yours.
Of course you won't waste anytime in disappearing away with anybody's money who would sheepishly want to fall into this old fashioned scam.  Only desperation and greed can make anyone buy to this idea which would only end up a great loss for. Cause there's no trading for you anywhere neither is there any doubling of cash in existence concerning this.
It is on posts as this that red tags should be left upon as deterrent...

1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 10:56:54 AM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
What could make someone feel remorse for losing at gambling is either they lose a large amount of money that's way beyond their take or it's a money that doesn't belong to them but was just meant to be  in their custody for the time being.

Outside these factors and a gambler start feeling remorse for each loss he make by gambling then it's a good sign that he has started having a rational perspective towards his money on what he could have used such monies he had loss to gambling for something more better off .

Question: Legit or SCAM ?

Mate this is a pure scam, one that is clearly written for everyone to see. Don't think twice if it may or may not work. Just flew.

1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: June 21, 2023, 02:58:36 PM
I can't say if it actually these particular games on the site op mentioned but at countless times I have noticed similar games advertised as ads on browsing sites I have visited and I am one person that's too careful about all these unfamiliar, unconventional game sites without reputation and popularity as it's better not to regret trying.
Why would I wanna play a game through some sites when I can easily and safely play such game's with a renowned online casino? After all both demands money to be able to play.
1727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 21, 2023, 10:18:12 AM

That's where risk management comes in handy.
    The strategies are;

_ Don't risk too much money, start with what you can afford to risk. Focus on the risk not rewards.
Focusing on both risk and reward would be more safer as you would have to weigh your reward against the risk am to incur. Focusing only on the risk could make you lose sight of the size of the reward you're taking the risk for, thereby  taking risk that doesn't match your potential reward.
Quote

_ Reacting to risk, use stop loss and always take profit.
For a trader with a little amount setting up a SL and TP is very sacrosanct in managing and minimizing your supposed loss that could clean up your account.
1728  Economy / Speculation / Re: This year is dumping ground for bitcoin on: June 21, 2023, 08:45:28 AM
All the time being this year has not really record a tangible price increase that's why people are dumping bitcoin for now.
Maybe you can go back to the chart again compare and contrast the price around november/december 2022 and the price of bitcoin from january to march 2023 to see if there wasn't something of a tangible difference in BTC price that had occured this year. There's no dumping of any kind for as we speak there are people that accumulating, taking advantage of the low in view of the bull run at any moment.
Quote

I consider more buy before now but I think is wise we use our wisdom to hold on or stay bitcoin idle for now, let's see what could have be the reason for this drastically continues price falling.
If anyone should choose to stay idle now, would it be when the price has skyrocketed that they should buy? For of what significant profit would it be for them waiting to buy when the bull run eventually take place to those that have already bought and HODL at the low?
There would always be a reason for a market price reaction wether high or low price, it's only left for you as an investor to make positive utility of the moment ahead of the future.
1729  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen if I change the Topic in the Subject box when making comments? on: June 20, 2023, 08:51:53 PM
"Curiosity they say is the mother of all invention". I wonder what would make anyone to want to tamper with the subject topic of another's thread for which he's not the OP.  I haven't thought of changing a subject topic that isn't mine and don't have the idea how's gonna look like if such is Ben done, buy rather for me to do so I believe it's commendable if I just place it as a suggestion or a recommendation to the op concerning his post topic and it's left for OP to do the editing.

And if such idea as you contemplated is actually possible then many persons topic posts would have a countless alterations from different members as anyone can just deem it fit to change the subject at will. Imagine where 500 persons had to change the subject of a particular post in a day. That would be 500 times of a different subject on a single post. How weird  Grin
1730  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 20, 2023, 01:06:20 PM
The year 2023 started on a good foot for bitcoin price which would have continued that way if not for the recession that's currently ravishing the world economy and the situation which has made bitcoin price to plummet creating doubt among bitcoin enthusiasts about the coming bull run  if it could still take place this year.

We are still in the middle of the year with a price of 26k+ I am optimistic about a positive end of 2023 for the price of bitcoin hitting above 40k before we get to 2024 because this recession and all other circumstances wouldn't be here for long.
1731  Economy / Economics / Re: Connect data to accelerate cashless payments on: June 20, 2023, 07:43:29 AM
Humans are created with an innate nature of adaptation in whatever ever situation they find themselves. Going cashless helps reduce the rate of security risk of physical attack of robbery by carry cash in hand, its equally seamless and stress free at a go for the traders, this and other reasons the traders must have taken into consideration and that's why despite living in a local area they still embrace the cashless trend of online payments.

Did you know that as a trader that accepts cashless transactions you're likely to have more customers patronage compared to another trader that only accepts cash. Customers are likely to return to where they received a convenient service.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 20, 2023, 06:30:43 AM

3. Or, are they a dispassionate victim of their own uncontrollable addictive gambling lifestyle?
they are, but not all of them.

btw, it is my first time hearing the phrase "dispassionate victim". I am still confused about what it means but from what I understand, it basically means "someone who shows no emotion despite being a victim or affected by something", am I right?
You are not far from the meaning, mate. The word dispassionate is an ambiguous word with several meanings, and in this context "dispassionate victim", could be said to be someone who finds himself under a circumstance that is overwhelming and beyond their control.  Within their inner part they don't feel like doing it but they do it anyway.

Foraging in the wild

There are places in the wild where fruits and vegetables grow naturally. Some are located close to official hiking trails and natural landmarks like waterfalls.
All of this is a dependant of your location. You don't expect someone living and schooling in the city to be privy things like this. OP Can you find waterfalls and wild areas on the modern cities of today?

Working part time in the food industry

The food industry is known for sometimes giving away free food and cost benefits. Bakeries and restaurants and known for throwing food away. Which employees sometimes are allowed to have.
No matter how cost effective getting food from food industries and restaurants may be painted to look like it still can't be compared to preparing the food yourself if you actually want to save cost cooking at home does much savings as you would have to have it in both quantity and quality.
Some of those foods being giving away by the restaurants are foods that are close to getting spoilt or expiration and it could be detriment to a persons health that keeps on consuming such kinds of food all in the context of saving cost.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 19, 2023, 09:46:33 PM
Gambling if not checked cam lead to a devastating condition for a gambler's life. As a gambler when you allow yourself to be controlled by gambling instinct instead of having control over it, it repercussions doesn't particularly affects only you but goes beyond just you to those around you.

A woman was giving an account of how her gambling husband has been problematic to her with his gambling attitude. She gave an instance of how her husband had to steal her jewelry and sold it to get money to carry on his gambling enterprise. And unsuspecting of her husband the woman accused their come-and-go house-cleaner of making away with her jewelry when the cleaner must have come to the house for her cleaning services that very faithful day. She got the cleaner arrested, but then, investigations where carried out which it was uncovered that the woman's husband was the one who stole her jewelry for gambling and not the cleaner.

It is difficult to grasp or imagined the level of humiliation the innocent cleaner must have faced for an act she knows nothing about.

A question that bothers me concerning this issue is;
1. Do gambling addicts ever take a second thought on what the consequences of their actions can be not just to them but on those close to them?
2. Do they in reality genuinely feel any remorse about  how those affected by their actions might be feeling?
3. Or, are they a dispassionate victim of their own uncontrollable addictive gambling lifestyle?
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: June 19, 2023, 07:08:59 PM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?
I am sure in this case that there's no gambler that would give so much interest with his money in placing bets in games he is oblivion about. We play to win buy then how do we win if we're playing blindly ? And that's why every gambling plays only games he has more winning advantage on because that's where his strength lies.

Another reason could be that they get so much fun from playing those kind of casino game or sports game. Mind you not everyone plays because he wants money, some persons do so due to how interesting and fun such game's gives them and how skillful they're with playing those games.

You don't know the owner, but what makes you sure to deposit bitcoin to exchange?.

what makes you sure that your Bitcoin arrived safely and was not taken away by the owner?
Well, since we can't trade directly from our wallet we have no option than to make use of the exchange we feel safer for us, and therefore act more safer by making sure not to leave a good amount of our funds in them. If you must then you can leave an amount that is pretty petty for you.

I had to stumble on a comment that commended that we can leave like a $100 in the account since such amount won't hurt in case anything happened to the exchange. And I felt such person is just being subjective, cause a $100 that seems little amount for you in your country may be a good amount to start with in someone's trading journey in another country qhwn converted in their local currency. So it's better just to say, leave an amount you can be ready to lose at any point than calling out a figure.

I always thought that,
same as banks, I don't want to save it for long time, because banks often go bankrupt, and the owner run overseas.
I don't know how banks are established and operated in your own part of the world, hitherto to creating a bank the bank owner(s) must have a deposited amount of cash in the possession of the CBN of the country  where they operates in the case of uncertainty such money could be used to settle their account holders mitigating a supposed colossal loss on the customers.

So running away with bank customers money by bank owners is  not an easy thing to do in this current dispensation, except such banks operates illegally not to the knowledge of the government and that's why it's important to do thorough research about any financial institution we wish to deposit our funds with.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 19, 2023, 01:41:03 PM
.

Opinion Three, this is the most important one. YOU. No one put a gun on your head to push you to gamble. You can do anything if you can control yourself by supreme rules. Like the stop-loss, stop-win, gamble hours per day......The key is self-control. Comparing the power of self-control, others are unimportant. Some people success, then they can be called professional gambler.

Let me lay some emphasis on your no•3 opinion as I have an interest there. Gambling is both an activity for some and a source of income for others. Only those that picks it as a source of income takes the extra mile to be professionals at it but only a very few makes success maybe out if mere luck or self discipline and skill pattern.

Going professional with gambling requires a lot of discipline and strategic plan you are bond to play by at any point in time no matter how the results of the gambling is going be it in your favour or not. You just have to know when to stop, how much you're ready to lose on a daily or weekly basis and never trying to ever chase losses cause that the mother of all loopholes of addiction to gambling which may end up wrecking your finances and ruining your life.
Take it or leave , going professional with gambling is something not meant for gamblers with no other huge source of income cause the wagering amount to make a good profit out of each bet is very demanding.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Volatility Problem on: June 19, 2023, 10:35:53 AM
The value of bitcoin can fluctuate rapidly and dramatically, sometimes within a single day. This can create challenges for individuals and businesses that use bitcoin as a means of payment or as an investment.
Story flash - hope you know that crude oil price also drop drastically in value too? Do your research and get it into your head on how those countries that heavily depends on crude oil as source of national income how their economy is negatively affected around those periods of devaluation. For Bitcoin each time it flunctiate downwards it rather an opportunity to keep DCAing knowing fully well that the price is going to rise, it's just a matter of time and that's why patience is a key component needed from anyone who invests in bitcoin.
Quote

For example, if someone were to receive payment in bitcoin BTC for a product or sevice, the value of that payment could decrease significantly before they have chance to exchange it for a more stable currency.
The volatility in bitcoin is clearly expressed through demand and supply, and so when you talk about the value plummeting today also, remember at different times when the value also increased significantly in price based on same volatility you're tagging problematic.  Or would you still refer to it as problematic should at the time of receiving the BTC payment the price skyrocketed leading to an increase in the value of payment? Let's not only focus on the south side of it but on both ends and try to navigate on how we can make the best use of the positive end of it against the so-called negative aspect.

Quote

the decentralized nature of bitcoin can make it difficult for government and regulartory agencies to monitor and control its use. This can create challenges in areas such as tax collection, money laundering prevention, and consumer protection.

Overall, while bitcoin BTC has the potential to offer many benefits ,its volatility and lack of regulation can create significant challenges for business, governments and us people around the world.
Despite the regulatory policies of gold by the government there's still booming good black market out there that's doing well than that of the so-called regulated market.  Too much regulations have cost more harm than good in the financial life's of ordinary people over the years and it's time people take charge of their finances in a currency  void of regulations and central control.

The last post I found about abbreviations was in the Filipino language back in 2017. I kindly request anyone here to share some slang terms with me as I believe they would be helpful not only to me but also to other newbies.

You just created an account a few hours before the time of your post, and you have already explored the forum and found out the meaning of OP in a post far back in 2017. I'm just curious how fast you are learning and moving around the forum.

All things been equal it is possible that it could be a coincidence he had to cross path with such post and maybe, just maybe that post could have been what inspired OP to create this post about more other slangs he might be missing which may be helpful to him in the future while still in the forum.

Let's allow  him breathe mate  Grin , at least for now.
