1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Suns/Mavericks) on: May 17, 2022, 11:46:32 PM

Not saying Mavericks has a high chance to beat the Warriors but I will look forward to that.

Good luck mate, tough call. Dallas on the betting lines are still undervalued, as they are the heavy underdog in the series despite the fact that they beat the Suns in the semi Finals. Luka had already prove he got skills,  but of course, fans sees the Warriors as a strong team as they are in this kind of situation many times before, and them going back to the NBA Finals, that would make the NBA finals more interesting.

Dallas Mavericks is already an underdog before the playoffs started.

They are not considered a threat before the playoffs. But looking at what they have done so far, upsetting the Utah Jazz, upsetting the Phoenix Suns, and on a mission again to upset the heavy favorite, Golden State Warriors, that's already a big achievement to them that's why even not their fans are recognizing them.

The team is underrated. I like them to win the WCF.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 17, 2022, 11:33:08 PM
the appropriate thing to really happen here is for spence to fight crawford for the unification of their belts. whereas, talking about canelo, he needs to settle his unfinished business first with GGG. so hopefully, both of these fights will happen this year. these fights will be money-making for their respective promoters.
we need to see spence vs crawford to happen very soon before they delay and delay and the are out of their prime years.

As far as I observed the current situation, Spence vs Crawford is more likely to happen than GGG vs Canelo trilogy this year. Canelo losing to Bivol really affects the possibility of fighting GGG for the 3rd time. After Canelo loses to Bivol, I don't see much hype that a GGG vs Canelo III will still take place.

Back to Crawford vs Spence, I think there's no way this fight won't be organized.

Crawford is really next on Spence's list while on the other hand, Crawford's list is the same where Spence is his next target.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 17, 2022, 11:23:22 PM
Most of us here who followed Donaire already know how lethal that counter left hook of his which I think will still be his weapon of choice, he only needs to land it at the perfect timing and you are right, he needs to watch that gas tank of his so that he still has some left in the championship rounds which is very critical for both fighters as either one of them will go for that knockout.

Early rounds are very crucial. I'm 100% comfortable that Donaire can take down Inoue in the early rounds and can repeat again the damage he gives to the Japanese monster during their first round. But as the fight will continue to last more, Donaire might have a problem with his stamina and Inoue will have a chance again to recover in the late rounds.

Another problem is, Inoue is already aware of how deadly Donaire is in the early rounds. He will surely do everything not to have to experience the same injury he received in the early rounds that make him slow down.

Regardless of my thoughts, Donaire already knows what he is lacking in this fight. Currently, or maybe for a long, he's now preparing for some changes and improvement.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 17, 2022, 11:13:03 PM
Don't we all? It would take a Dirk-like performance for Luka to lead his team and win against the Warriors. The problem is he doesn't or can't defend like Dirk.

If his other teammates could lock the other two shooters of GSW then this series could be entertaining. Steph vs. Luka or Klay vs. Luka looks like an even match.

I'm expecting to see the Mavericks vs Heat in the Finals. Cheesy

2006, 2011, possible 2022 - different lineup, different roster, and their respective Coaches face last Finals in 2011, Coach Spoelstra and Coach Jason Kidd, although the latter was part of a Mavericks roster back in 2011 (Mavericks head coach that time is Rick Carlisle).

Aside from that, looks to me that the Celtics are more of a threat to the Mavericks if ever they meet in the Finals. That's why I like Miami Heat to advance lol.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 14, 2022, 10:21:55 PM
Games, metaverse games, gambling games - seem a good idea to pick up.

Metaverse Gambling, NFTs, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, Decentralization - sounds like a start for a new scam ICO project. Someone should write a thesis on that!
 Cheesy

For familiarization and awareness, these subjects are good to pick for the thesis.

If you did your thesis before, your subject should cover all the stuff be it positive or negative. That's how you work for your thesis, a complete one discussing the pros and cons. Because of that, the scam part will also be discussed.

In that way, people won't be much that hyped about these new trends in gambling thinking the new innovation means an easy profit and winnings.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Suns/Mavericks) on: May 14, 2022, 10:02:24 PM
I think it will still be the Suns vs Warriors in the Western Conference finals. If statistics will hold true, the home court team will win the game 7 and that is the Suns.

And so it will be a great battle between Steph and CP3 and Booker will be a problem for the Warriors. Nevertheless they have players that can defend Booker. But let's wait for the outcome of the Suns vs Dallas first. This could be one of the biggest upset though, if Mavs wins tonight.

Actually, in a Game 7 pressured game series, homecourt is just a slight advantage. I know both teams are winless playing against the crowd. Suns are dominant on their homecourt while Mavericks are likewise too. But that doesn't guarantee that Suns is an automatic winner.

Another thing I want to happen is the big recognition for the Mavericks once they upset the strongest team in this season.

It's been a while since the number 1 seed is being eliminated in the playoffs round.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 14, 2022, 09:45:30 PM
I believe that Crawford has no quarrel if he will just receive a 40% of the purse cut because he can still earn some good clean money on PPV's revenue as well as this fight will likely be with Spence's promotional camp, PBC.

Agree, 40% for Crawford is expected to be big as their fight is a much-anticipated fight long and many viewers will spend money on it. Much better maybe before that he will have a guaranteed $10M to receive if he fights Pacquiao, no set purse split.

On the other hand, Spence can surely gather lots of viewers and will help contribute to the PPV being sold out again, as usual.

40% for Crawford, if he insists, I doubt Spence will still be interested in fighting him.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 14, 2022, 09:27:29 PM
Home court advantage is for the Celtics, but as what we have witnessed in the past games, a small mistake could be costly to a team, so it's just a matter of what team will make the less mistake will win.

Actually, in this series, there's no such thing as homecourt advantage. Both teams already lose on their respective home courts and they aren't distracted even playing against the crowd. This is what we want to happen, a close series where we don't know who will win until we see the final result.

One mistake, it will cost them losing. One good opportunity, it will cost them winning. Generally, both teams need to minimize their mistakes and always take advantage of every possession.

Win or go Home next game, an intense match we want to witness.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Bucks/Celtics) on: May 14, 2022, 09:12:27 PM
Regardless of who will win between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics, it will be a good match for the Miami Heat.

But I'm looking forward to the Bucks entering the Eastern Conference Finals.

Not that I'm a fan of them but if you guys remember, Milwaukee Bucks swept the Miami Heat in the last year's playoffs and I've won a decent amount betting on them. It will be a revenge mission for the Miami Heat against the Milwaukee Bucks if they meet up next series.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 14, 2022, 08:59:21 PM
so maybe we will see the same, and hopefully, they will be drafted in a weak teams to help them.

It will. Terrafirma, Blackwater, and Converge's possible picks and choices are the best of the best.

However, as far as PBA politics are concerned, maybe these prospects might end up in SMC teams as always. Once the giant company in the PBA sees the potential of these top picks, always expect the unexpected.

Then we will see once again surprising news and PBA Chief will call it a fair trade if you know what I mean. Smiley
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Suns/Mavericks) on: May 14, 2022, 08:46:02 PM
I will get back here with my analysis once we have the winner between Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.

Personally, I will go to Dallas Mavericks for a change. Then I will bet again on them against the Golden State Warriors. It's time now for the Dallas Mavericks' comeback at the Conference Finals and NBA Finals.

But to make my statement valid, Mavericks needs to beat the Suns first. Cheesy
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 14, 2022, 03:30:39 AM
Was it only in PH? I was curious if there is an online cockfighting that accepted cryptocurrency, I think restriction of this kind of matches should be worldwide I think most of the rooster are dead after fighting. I mean this is way more bad than horse racing since people let the rooster fight to death.

As far as the topic is concerned, and obviously mentioned in the title, this is only in the Philippines.

No, you can't expect a worldwide restriction for these. It's like saying also ban the other harmful sports which may seem unethical to others like boxing, MMA, karate, and any forms of animal-related sports and gambling.

Just accept that it's happening in the real world. Horse racing is not 100% cruelty even if you will give me data or statistics. Still, in most cases, horses are always checked if they are fit to race. This is professional gambling, not cheap gambling where everything is not taken care of.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that have most chances to come out strong after bear market finished on: May 14, 2022, 03:05:04 AM
Almost all altcoins listed do have potential. Expect that those coins will be carried once Bitcoin gains its momentum on the road on another bullish trend.

However, our decision should only be decided by ourselves. It's risky to follow others' advice but nothing wrong to refer to those. There's no such thing that we can predict what will happen next that's why even putting money on a coin with potential and real fundamentals, we don't know what will happen next.

Buy the dip, buy a much more dip, buy a more dip, dip, dip, let's be careful deciding when to make another entry.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 14, 2022, 02:44:58 AM
Another 40+ points from Giannis but he's too tired to do anything in the final five minutes. Imagine scoring almost half of the total team's score (44 out of 95) Grin

He seems exhausted but the good thing about him is that he is consistent throughout the series. It's just that there's a need for a push on his teammates. NBA fans get what they want, a decisive Game 7 series where there's no room for any mistakes on both teams.

Regardless if it's home or away, these teams will surely explode to get the ticket to the Conference Finals.

I'm expecting a close game on Game 7.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 14, 2022, 02:29:22 AM
The first 2 games at home they were underdogs, game 5 at home they were underdogs.  I'm thinking they will be dogs in game 7 if it gets there.  If it does will be an easy pick for me.  I don't think I've seen a 2 seed playing a lower seed that the spread is so high against them before.  Wierd.

I don't think that's weird though. During the last game where the Grizzlies played at Chase Center, they lost by a big margin.

Maybe that's what bookies refer to when they provide that handicap. +8.5 is still a reasonable spread for me and I don't think it's a surprise.

If bettors think that Grizzlies can cover it, they should have to take chances.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 14, 2022, 12:13:39 AM
If Embiid hadn't been injured, he probably would have played more aggressively, and the Heat would have been much harder to beat the 76ers. As for Harden, his performance in this playoffs wasn't impressive at all, and it looks like Embiid is disappointed in him. At least Embiid's comments during the last interview are no longer as enthusiastic as it was during Harden's trade.

That might be the case if Joel Embiid is just 100% healthy. It doesn't mean the Sixers will win the series but at least they can give Miami Heat a close competition on who will enter the Conference Finals. About James Harden, really expect some questions about his playoffs performance because people used to see him as consistent in having good playoffs stats even before.

Feel bad for Embiid. He always put his heart into every game and really serious about winning. One of the emotional players I have seen in an event of a painful loss. I think it's time now for Embiid to erase that loyalty as I'm sure he won't get any championship on Sixers.

Joel Embiid is the only one there who has the "Trust the process" mindset and I don't see anyone else having the same thinking.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 13, 2022, 11:57:10 PM
Why not?

However, I'm old enough to take a shot about it.

Gambling is a good subject for a thesis, however, we can't just choose random topics for a future thesis. At least here in our country, a thesis should be based on and related to the college course we take.

Games, metaverse games, gambling games - seem a good idea to pick up.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Commentary and commentators in sports. on: May 13, 2022, 11:47:39 PM
Commentary is underated in sports and commentators are not giving enough recognition for the role they play in sports.

I had this recent experience where I streamed live a recent premier league game and it had no audio, although it was expected to be an exciting game, I did not enjoy the game, not until the audio came up and i could now hear the commentary.

Isolated case. Don't generalize that it happened in most cases.

Obviously, the commentary is always part of a good experience in sports. It makes live streaming or live viewing alive, especially during the crunch and clutch time of that sport or in a situation where the turning point is happening.

They should not just be biased during the commentary as it gives a bad impression.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 13, 2022, 11:42:19 PM
Actually, the country host is always on top in South East Asia based on what I remembered.

I feel sorry myself that I didn't put focus on this event since our country just came from a hot trend which is National Elections that's why I even didn't see media outlets covering this event in a hard exposure.

Is there are open betting on this event? Regardless, I'm not expecting PH to have good odds on my preferred sports.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 13, 2022, 11:37:10 PM
This might not be related to PBA but it's still basketball in the country. UP became the champion on this recent UAAP season 84.
After 34 years, they've became a champion again. Are there people here who have been tuning in on this league as well? I've just seen it on my feed so I've thought of sharing it here since it's also a league and basketball.

I'm watching it, mate. Not a fan of either UP or Ateneo but I really like the former to win the championship. Ateneo is full of good and spectacular players from their coaching staff to players that's why for a change, I really like UP to advance.

Actually, it's related to PBA since players from these universities are bound to end up signing as a PBA draftee.

But there are reports released recently that some expected prospects skip the PBA Draftee as those received offers from overseas to play.
