1721  Economy / Economics / Re: Can A Redesign of A Countries Currency Note Improve Its Economy? on: October 27, 2022, 09:07:44 AM
In recent news, it is the plan of the Nigerian government to redesign its currency notes. I don't know why such a project at this time is even mentioned, because other worst case scenarios that require redesign is left abandoned or nearly abandoned in total.
My thoughts is on how such a government at these time of flooding and inflation would think that by redesign the currency, such issue will be the remedy to the countries huge debt margin or natural disaster ongoing.
Do you think the effect of redesigning the nations currency note will be of benefit to the economy and nation at large?
Let's discuss!

https://nairametrics.com/2022/10/26/cbn-redesign-naira-notes/

They cannot get any benefits upon doing it since its like replacing their old money to new one so maybe we can conclude if there's a changes happen if they back up with something good things which it can boost up there economy. So if redesigning without anything good back it maybe we can see the same thing with this.
1722  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: October 26, 2022, 10:37:18 PM
What's going on here? Does Cloudbet hire a bumping shills since there's a lot newbies with copper membership keep replying in this thread. I don't think those copper member-newbie rank accounts are just accidental, not many users are want to pay copper membership and you wouldn't see copper member-newbie rank accounts replying on the other thread except on Cloudbet.
I noticed the bump accounts, too, a while back. I am trying to compile the list and then report them. My current findings suggest it's an elaborate ring of scammers who have not only stopped at setting up scam projects or coins, but also shill other scam projects. The involved accounts are so many. We are looking at 60 plus shill accounts.

Cloudbet should answer this because hiring shill cannot give any positive output on them but instead people will doubt about their intentions for doing this. They are old casino so they should know the consequences of the actions towards this and if many people will find out that they hired shills for sure this could bring them more criticism from people who doubt about their reputation.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 26, 2022, 12:05:40 PM
Both of them is important on circulation because we cannot earn profits if no bull run will came and we can't buy cheap bitcoins if there's no bear market will disturb the market. Its equal and not debatable matters but maybe there are some thinking that one of them is important since they look at the angle base on some certain situations.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contests do you want to see on the Dice platform? on: October 26, 2022, 09:46:00 AM
Other dice sites had already done this which they have those multiplier hunts or something similar or on the same concept which is really interesting for those who do have limited or small amount capital. Its true that you cant really that make that much competition aside from wager contest or hunting multipliers or numbers specially on a dice game.If OP or this new site would decide that they would be increasing their prizes or bonuses then they might really be able to get up some attention but well it cant really be that assured but it would really be getting some buzz and might be recognized by the gambling community.
At the moment we have the simplest possible solution. We thought about implementing a tournament for the largest number of bets (say 1 week with a minimum bet of 100 Sat) and the tournament table will track stats. Nevertheless, even such simple tournament parameters require at least a month of preparation.

They should set a rules that participants could only do maximum 100 sats bets and how far they can go with it if they can make this grow and reach for many rolls then they are the winner. If they side no minimum bet amount well this is unfair for small gamblers since for sure only those whales have high advantage to win the contest.
1725  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalCryptos is shutting down on: October 25, 2022, 11:30:44 AM
This is what they said, but I think it's more of a regulatory issue than the bear market. Being that they are located in Australia, whose Government can sometimes get cocky when it comes to regulations
LocalCryptos has made the tough decision to voluntarily wind down for multiple reasons. Among the reasons include personal health matters impacting the development and progression of the marketplace, an anticipated downtrend in cryptocurrency markets, as well as challenging developments in the long-term regulatory trajectory amidst the global evolution of the crypto economy.

If it's true, it would be a shame since they could relocate to country with better regulation.

It was always unclear to me why some good services just shut down. in addition to changing the country of business, maybe they could sell the whole business to some company that is already in the industry.
although I would say that this is a forced move because just a few months ago they were hiring new developers https://jobs.gohire.io/localcryptos-ddlp8az9/react-native-mobile-app-developer-63702/

Maybe the compliance has something to do with this since they will not close down their successful business if there's no government disturbing their operations, maybe they find it hard to comply what necessary needed to legalize their business that's why they decide to shutdown their business. Although what we are saying is just speculation but mostly regulation has huge factor on their decision made.
1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Advise to Forum members on PMs offers on: October 25, 2022, 11:18:14 AM
Well, I have never received such an offer. I do however wonder how much these people usually offer you? If anyone has experience, I would love to know.
It varies. You could receive offers through Telegram or from your inbox here in the forum. I ended up encountering from both platforms though I humbly decline since I do not have the time to review their projects or their ANN thread or even their main website.

Usually it is just the usual introduction to what their project is all about and sometimes they do put their main website, and sometimes they don't. They will offer you a payment of either a token or a stablecoin in an exchange. From how it ends up, I do not know since I declined.

Most of the offer like this came from dev's which doesn't have enough budget and only want to pay users by their tokens created. They didn't create their own bounty thread because they don't have money  to pay for decent managers and they try to create huge impact by asking high ranking users to be their participants without paying any valuable assets came to their own pockets and most of this offers are 100% scams and glad didn't see any weird signatures inserted on some members so most provably this asking to wear methods didn't work at the moment since many for sure will decline the offer.

Don’t forget to get your 2nd price prediction in - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415908.0

I don’t think I will be so lucky this time….surely?

 Cheesy

Good luck everybody!
I already gave my 2nd price prediction and I hope I can be the winner like you Grin

Did you get some feeling that told you not so lucky this time? I still hope you can win again, but let's see the result later. After all, the result will come soon.

Good luck too, @LFC_Bitcoin.

In the last prediction contest I was one of the winners and just posted my 2nd prediction thank you for reminding me
my prediction €19,482 when checking other predictions I see almost all predictions with the same price between 19,400 - 19.700
It means I have many competitors  Grin but it's okay luck can be on anyone's side.
You are lucky to be one of the winners in the last prediction contest. And if more competitors give predictions at your level for the current contest predictions, it will be a question mark who will get more luck to be the winner.

So in this prediction contest, it might seem difficult to win because many predictions are at $19k. Maybe that's also why @LFC_Bitcoin said he didn't think he would win this time. But the prediction is almost over so let's just wait for the final result.

The more the players joined on prediction contest the more smaller the chance to win on the contest but still its worth to join for people who can spend time in the contest since even spectators enjoying what they see especially seeing how market moves these days and how participants release their critical guesting unto this. But let see if we can see another set of winners or @LFC_Bitcoin will hit another win for this round.
1728  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this possible? on: October 23, 2022, 01:41:47 PM
Brothers and sisters is it possible for PC keyboard to get compromised and reveal your private keys to hackers? How are they doing it? I read a comment on Reddit about a guy that lost his keys to hackers through a keyboard hack, is it in form of Trojan or Malware?.

If you download unknown links coming out of nowhere then provably they can. Hackers right now are so smart and they can do unimaginable things so best to avoid seeking for something on google search since this is where you can get those malwares. If you feel your pc is infected much better if you follow the suggestions above and that is to reformat your pc to avoid any possible upcoming attacks.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Survive A Nuclear War? on: October 23, 2022, 11:35:09 AM

No.

Cash and fiat will be useless after a society-ending war. The only things that will have value will be the things that keep you alive:
  • Food
  • Fresh water
  • Medicine
  • Shelter
  • Bullets and other weapons

If you can't eat it, drink it, or use it to protect yourself from weather, disease, and hostile people or animals, then it's pretty useless.

First of all I hope the world don't have to experience any nuclear war.
Now assuming there is a nuclear war, and this things you mentioned are in high demand, definitely not every war affected areas will have these life saving things, so in other for those who are in shortage of then to have access they may have to buy it or exchange for something else, hence fiat will be quite useful in this scenario.
For you to have weapons, food, medicines, clean water and other important stuff to sustain lives through that difficult period, you will have to either buy them or get them somehow and am pretty sure you will need fiat.

For sure the internet connection will be much affected and most provably all bitcoin users on affected area will start cashing out their hidden assets since they will prepare for something worse to come. But eventhough that case happens still I believe bitcoin will still survive since its just there it will never fade. Maybe for a while majority of people will focus to buy first the basic needs but once all get back to normal people will go back to what things they left then comeback to their investments and other personal matters.
1730  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - 50K USDT prize pool: Road to Riches 💰 on: October 23, 2022, 09:47:47 AM
There are no sure things in gambling as it is all about luck. If someone is very unlucky then they won't hit a big payout even after playing for so long. Anyway congratulations to the above player.

When deciding to send money to our account then we are ready to take all risks including win/lose  Grin
It's just that sometimes we can't control ourselves especially when chasing tournaments or promotions

Forget about chasing profits especially upon participating on contest since most of the people are playing just to have fun since experience playing on contest is different compare on regular playing so much better if you just enjoy the game since you can relax yourself and get away from stress cause by unfortunate things which you can't afford to lose.

Just send what you can afford to lose and play at your comfort for sure your play time is worthful.
1731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's up with ranking on: October 22, 2022, 12:55:44 PM
Hello 👋

I can see that some people have a high rank and some are lower, is it advisable to take advice from high rank members more serious than jr member and full members?

Nope, rank doesn't mean anything because not everyone are active on this forum. There are low ranking members which is more knowledgeable than them so maybe try to focus on what content of the people and you can easily find out if they are really good and not. Anyways maybe catch multiple information and don't focus on single advices since its more helpful if you have many basis towards what actions you want to do on your cryptocurrency hunting career.
1732  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 22, 2022, 10:26:30 AM
Why ? Just why ?

Its the same with your wallet provider who ask KYC  so get used to it and its not stupid since its part of the system especially if there's money involve. Instead looking at negative side on it much better if you adopt the good side since it will just save us from several incidents which we need to prove our ownership of the account especially if there's something strange or bad happens to our account. If your worried about government tracking users then don't look at it as a problem if you are law abiding citizen but if you do illegal act then you start to worry with that.
1733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: October 21, 2022, 11:16:42 PM
The forum has a disclaimer and everyone is responsible for whatever they post and taking information as reliable is at your own risk, but that doesn't stop the moderators from doing their part, they have the right to remove any information that does not align with the forum policy, especially if it is misleading and does not convey the proper information to the users.
Personally, I believe that it is always beneficial to seek knowledge from other sources; the forum cannot provide you with all you want, such as technical aspects of bitcoin and altcoins, you cannot study a single textbook for your thesis and research, you must consult other sources.
Multiple sources of information are better rather than one. Considering that this forum is open to everyone's opinion, we are also aware that not all we read here are good enough to rely on. This is a big community already and not all are handled by the moderators, so we gonna expect misinformations are still around and can possibly inject into the mind of the readers if they don't know how to analyze it.

This one indicates that eventhough the high ranking member even how they veteran they are or the trust score they got they can still make mistake upon giving advice. We should also work to find another information so that we can justify things we ask or verify. And luckily this forum is open to everyone and we can read others opinion which we can make a basis to try on.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 21, 2022, 11:25:30 AM
I’m influenced by my favorite celebrities to a point. For example, I’m a big fan of Shaquille O’Neal so when I saw him launch an NFT charity project, I wanted to buy in to support him. I didn’t care about the performance of the NFT or if I made money, but you could say I was influenced to buy it because of his celebrity status. Does this mean I would invest in ShaqCoin or use a gambling platform just because Shaq promoted it? Probably not, but it would likely get me to check it out.
In short, we all could be influenced by our favorite celebrities in whatever they endorsed, advertised, or what they even do on a daily basis. However, it will be our own decision and critical thinking if we will do, copy or even buy what they are promoting. Just as you've said, If Shaq has made his own token such as "shaqcoin" or is gambling on a certain gambling platform, then it will be our own decision if we will be investing or gambling on the same platform, but we have already been influenced by them to check those out.

Actually its undeniable that there influence can really convince us to try what they are doing but for sure in short time span we will realize that they are just enjoying what they are doing while us trying to get some money base on their suggestion. But still it will all matter to us on how far we can take what they are promoting since for sure if we been realistic here we cannot copy what they do and for sure it will be different scenario to us then we may struggle while playing.
1735  Economy / Services / Re: [Search] Dice contest ideas - $100 in Bitcoins! on: October 21, 2022, 03:24:04 AM
Dice points race you set what number of target points to be hit by a player to be declared as a winner.

Ex. You set 100 if certain player roll then it reach 100 base on numbers(not the number of rolls but points base on the roll) he wins, but if he exceed to 101 he's point back to zero. Then try again to reach 100.

Or

You set what number to be hit.

Ex. For this round players need to hit 6 for 6 times if they got that they will be declared as a winner.

There just trying to share my wild ideas out of nowhere, also don't know if this one also exist everywhere so credits goes to them if they own this.  Grin

1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: October 20, 2022, 09:54:12 PM
What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

Chill out and try to get your attention on other things which is away from gambling, from this we can avoid to get stress from the losses we encounter.

But to avoid stressful losses which we cannot afford to happen. Well maybe much better if we have separate already the small amounts of funds we can afford yo lose because from this we can get over easily on the losses we experience.
1737  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Too risky to leave BTC right now on: October 20, 2022, 10:00:46 AM
It's way too risky to be out of bitcoin right now because people are calling for 10,000$ per Bitcoin before they will start buying,  it sounds like when people are calling for 100,000$ per BTC months ago and the opposite happened, now people are calling for 10k again, the opposite might happen again, the best way to deal with this is start buying BTC every week, maybe on Mondays? This way you will feel better.....remember, when people are calling for the exact same thing the opposite always happens.

Do not sit back and do nothing
You may be right and at the same time, you may be wrong, even though people are calling for a $10,000 price that does not translate into an uptrend price. The opposite doesn't always happen in most cases but again in some cases, it may happen.
But when it comes to Bitcoin price speculation we should always try to bring in some data analysis before arriving at any conclusions, but all I see with this kind of statement, are just predictions and nothing else.

That's how fud and FOMO works so if the same with OP also with other newbies always keep listening to the call of people about the possible outcome they might enter a phase where they are not sure on what they are trying to do. Much better if they learn a skills on trading's at acquire little knowledge about technical and fundamentals since if they can track the market then somehow get something which can make their a basis maybe from that they will know how to plan their next action base on what market condition.
1738  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Hacked?! What we can do better to protect our funds? on: October 20, 2022, 08:25:03 AM
This is a hack that happened on the BSC network and it is not related to the Binance exchange, it can be said that the blockchain field is in the development stage so being hacked is not a strange thing and it is not new. As long as they fix it in time and keep growing, we will get better and better.

Although Binance did not experience any losses, storing all assets on a centralized exchange is like holding money in a bank so it is very risky. Whether you are an investor or a day trader, whether you own a lot of crypto assets or a few crypto assets, you should take care of your own property rather than having someone else keep it for you. When entering the crypto world, you must at least have yourself a hardware wallet and that will be your own bank.

People need to understand that its separate but if they are worried about putting their money on exchange like binance since somehow anything might happen to them since hacking issues exist and they might encounter this issue again is to save up their balances and withdraw frequently once they are done or even withdraw the profits always so that we will not get hurt for huge hacking issue if that one happen to them.
1739  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - 50K USDT prize pool: Road to Riches 💰 on: October 19, 2022, 09:54:02 PM
What’s the best slot games can you recommend? I’m participating on Road to Riches: Stage 3 but I don’t have much knowledge on what’s the best slot to play since I’m not a regular player of slot games and I spend most of my gambling time on live games. There’s only 4 days left on this tournament so I want to play on slots to get double points and easily climb the leaderboard. My target is to reach atleast 100pts before the tournament is over.

I’m thinking to play Bitcasino Billion game since other user has a good feedback on it. I’m planning to have a couple of alternative slot games as change of environment when I’m already too soaked in the game.

Bitcoin Casino Billion is good one its been on header in bitcasino so most provably many people are in good playing this slot also good to go with featured ones like mystery museum or you can try the new added games like  Grand heist since this is also cool. I tried this one just for fun mode but will add this as my other alternative slot to try soon.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 19, 2022, 11:07:24 AM
Exciting fight considering we haven't seen Manny in the ring ages now and the cause was really nice. I just hope that it will be a good fight but was skeptical on what DK Yoo will bring inside the ring because the last unprofessional fight he did was not that flashy. I think he'll just be a main dish to Manny if we will expect a good fight from the People's Champ.

I'm not that well verse on this kind of fight but sometimes like this exhibition match is scripted on who will gonna win. But regardless of that conspiracy theory, It will be shameful for Manny if he will lose this kind of match since he have a good professional record and other Boxer on his caliber that done this like Mayweather keeps winning on this match.

I'm not aware on this match and I just recently watch the viral video of Pacman that being guest on Korean variety show. This maybe the reason why he is on Korea doing guesting. Haha

Its big shame for Pacman to lose this but I expect that this fight will be in favor with him since somehow I'm thinking that this fight will be scripted and they will hail Pacquaio as a winner since he is legendary already. But let see maybe my perception is wrong and they can show great fight even if this is only a exhibition match.
