1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: September 10, 2021, 08:19:15 PM
I guess we can't expect that the odds will be available soon since the fight is more than a month from now. I don't see anything special on both fighters, even on the undefeated one as they just have an average KO power.

I just want to add, that indeed with a long enough time duration, this is too hasty for us to guess and determine the 50% probability of all the advantages of this boxer. I may not really know exactly where this choice is going.

However, I thank the OP for providing the information beforehand, even if it's too soon. But that way I will have plenty of time to review all aspects of the advantages and disadvantages of both sides.

I suggest you start analyzing when the betting odds are available, that information is very important so you will know what people think about this fight. The record will be the main basis of the odds, but there are a lot of factors to consider, and that's what you will find to know who is underrated or who is overrated in this fight.

here's the comparison between the two fighters.

1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 10, 2021, 07:44:09 PM
Now that De Andre Jordan is officially a Laker, we'll most likely see an announcement on Marc Gasol trade (or not Grin). I don't think Lakers will want to start the season with four centers but I don't get why they seem not interested in letting him go. There are probably two or three teams that wants a center like Gasol and acquiring him won't be expensive.
Yeah, probably Marc Gasol will be traded, they already have Davis, Howard and now DJ. So we don't know how Gasol will fit on that rotation, although he can still contribute with his outside shooting.
But it's better for the Lakers to move Gasol out, how about him going to Nuggets to back up Jokic? Or Bucks to add depth? Yes, Giannis can play the middle, but it's better to have a true center in Gasol to help them out.
That's a good team to land for Mark Gasol, he is a defensive-oriented player so he will be a big help especially for the Bucks whom they beat before. I'm sure the Bucks will get him if the Lakers will ask too much for him in return, and for sure they will not ask a big man in return for the trade.

The same question arises in my mind as well. You will hardly play all of your four centers, so you can easily let go of at least one of them if not two. That might open some chance to acquire some young players into the squad. And with the addition of De Andre Jordan, Lakers look like a pretty solid team this season. An overall well-rounded team in my opinion.

What the Lakers has to ensure now is the health of the Centers, Howard could probably survive as he only played with limited minutes, but Davis health is very important and if in case he will be injured again, Deandre Jordan and Dwight Howard should be ready to take over and don't forget, Lebron could also play the Center position if he likes, now that there's Westbrook, it will be more easier for him to adjust in any positiion.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more effective in the future on: September 10, 2021, 05:43:11 PM
Although there are conflicting and sceptical predictions at the moment, I am confident that bitcoin and crypto will become necessary to the globe in the future. Bitcoin has the potential to revolutionize the financial world.
I know its way is heading almost there. We have seen bitcoin adoption continues to grow and probably since El Salvador started it all, then most likely other neighboring countries will follow its path. And when we think that bitcoin has already been adopted, then it will surely be more effective when everyone is using it.

I always have high hopes in bitcoin because i know how big its potentials to help us improve and make progress and hopefully this time since its adoption is in a fast rate then we can expect that it will be more beneficial for us seeing its value will even grow more.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 10, 2021, 02:18:13 PM

IMO, Canelo may not be bothering too much about Plant. And perhaps that is the reason why he ignored the trash talk from Plant. Canelo is someone who has faced the world's best, including Gennady Golovkin, Floyd Mayweather and Amir Khan. Canelo himself is being regarded as one of the legends in the field of boxing. For him, Plant is just a sitting duck. If the intention from Plant was to provoke Canelo, then I am afraid that it is not going to work. It could have worked 5 years ago.. but definitely not now with all that experience.

The trash talk may not bother him, but every fighter fighting inside the ring has fear of losing running in their minds, and with Canelo's status he has everything to lose and Plant everything to gain, Plant is more hungry here if you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, you will likely take the chance, the fighter who has everything will be more careful to lose, but let's see I could go wrong.

IMO, both of them have something to lose as they are holding their own respective championship belts, only it is Canelo who is more popular than Plant and he holds three belts but if we analyze this fight it is Canelo who is hungrier because if he wins this one, this would be his personal record of unifying all the prestigious belts in his division, a history made for him. That is why I could say that he will be preparing for this fight as if he is the challenger for that prestige.

Right, I can't remember who is the last man to reunify all the belts in the super middleweight division. But if Canelo win, then he will be in the records books as well for getting all the belts, another big accomplishment for him.

So yes, both are hungry, both are motivated to win. And then we have our own bets to put. But what's important is that they give us a good fight because this is highly anticipated by fight fans.

Inoue will no longer be undefeated if he will lose against Casimero in their fight, that's why this fight is very important to him so he can continue his journey, while Casimero is also looking to shock the world by beating the monster that everyone is struggling to beat, so it's a must watch fight, it was already announce by one party only, hopefully it will be confirm by a formal announcement with a proof of contract signing.
1725  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 10, 2021, 01:04:36 PM
^

Corruption is a kind of a hard control mechanism of subordinate people as at any moment an unfit person who has stopped following unspoken instructions can be sentenced to several years in prison and in some countries more severe punishments can be imposed. That is why corruption exists in all countries and absolutely in all spheres of our life. It is just that some countries are more thorough in hiding corruption cases.

We are talking about corruption in sports, and normally our understanding is that what is happening is "sports fixing", some people may not be too concern about it, but for gamblers or sports bettors, this is a big thing as they can use this as their basis on making a decision, and I believe that some sports bettors believe that no sports are clean or safe from sports fixing.

1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What risks will you get in investing during the COVID-19 pandemic? on: September 10, 2021, 08:58:01 AM
Crypto investment always risk if you Don't know how to work market and demand and supply, and when investor research and know how markets react then it's safe to invest
In all kinds of investments there will always be risks regardless of we are in a pandemic or not. That is why we need to be more cautious in every investment that we take that it will never fall so as not to make financial losses too. But it will never be predicted for sure. So invest only on the amount we  can afford to lose so that we can also minimize the risk of the investment itself.

This covid-19 pandemic has made a lot of disasters to everyone and while most of the companies are closing due to loss of sales, crypto is unexpectedly rise up even more and open opportunities to all kinds of people. So crypto should always be given value for that.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Two basic things that can give you an advantage on: September 10, 2021, 08:24:05 AM
You are right but some times when you buy the dip the dip goes dipper lol, just imagine if bear market is already around the corner? You will see your coins lose huge amount of value and you will have to wait a long time for good recovery, it's smarter to take profits most times and only hold coins you are ready to hold for long term.
The best thing to do is learn how to seize every opportunity so we will never regret what we have should done and what we have not. When bullish season comes, do not be greedy and learn to be contented with the price. Sell some of your coins and re invest it again if you want. When bearish comes too, its not necessary to buy everything that have low prices. Choose the best coins and those that will grow long in the future.

Keeping yourself calm is a very good behavior towards unexpected events in the market. The market is so unpredictable and this is the reason why we should not rush things to happen because what we might see today will never be seen by tomorrow so be patient as it is.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you want NON KYC coin on: September 09, 2021, 11:47:37 PM
Just interested to hear people's reasoning for wanting NON-KYC bitcoin.  Im guessing its so that one can deny ownership from "the man"
The main reason is that to keep anonymity is important for everyone and a lot of people are looking for this to avoid paying tax as well, if we are going to have KYC then we can have a tax for every transaction we may have. This is the reason why the government cannot put a tax in a decentralized system because they cannot track who is having the transaction.
That's also my point. I would love to keep my personal details privately so as much as possible, i will choose a non-KYC coin so that if i end up gaining huge profits then i won't have to pay the tax that will be associated in it. Its definitely a hard time for us investors to pay the tax that we cannot benefit in the end, yet we are obliged to pay.

But since most of the coins right now are already asking for KYC then we have no choice but to comply with it. After all, at least we can help others through our hard earned investments.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choosing the right time for profit on: September 09, 2021, 11:07:40 PM
It is really important for an investor to be aware of this. This prevents greed a lot also. For example, I set some price goals to sell the amount of my coins that I determined already. Otherwise, I know that greed could take the control of me and make me do really stupid things. Rather than waiting for more, acting according to a price goal is much safer I believe. I know that there are people who just make an investment and forget about it for even many years but I'm excluding them while talking about the situation.
Once we enter into investments, atleast we have set already our goals and exactly the best time when to take profits. And since the market keeps on fluctuating so it will be a brilliant idea to set a target selling price before greed will control your plan and lose everything in the end.

For me, our main goal is to make profits that's why we're here to invest and so if we see already good profits that will satisfy us then grab the opportunity. The next day might never be a perfect time to gain your profits.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: End of bull run so we sell everything? on: September 09, 2021, 08:46:43 PM
You should not look at this situation as the Bull season is over not. You should know how to come out in numbers that satisfy you. Because no one knows when the Bull season will end. If the knew, everyone would become a millionaire and there would be no one left to invest in the market. For example, you have deposited $1000, and when this money is $10000, satisfies you. In this case, you should not be greedy to earn money from the market. Otherwise, you will inevitably lose money.
For me, if you are already satisfied with the current profits that you are making, then sell them as much as you can. We don't know exactly what will happen next or an unexpected dump will occur so grab the chance while its there in  front of you. Do not be greedy. Sell them and make profits. And then start buying at the dips and set new target goal price. In that way, you will feel inner peace.

I have been here in the market for long and so i know the feeling losing just because you are overthinking that the profits will still go high and so i ended up being greedy and literally lose all my expected profits. I learned from it and won't do it again for sure.
1732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be too desperate to make earning on: September 09, 2021, 08:17:34 PM
Many lose cash from HODL because of the assumption for a major return and some bring in cash by one way or another in a brief period.
Not that really. I'm holding and I'm mainly in profit whether the price of bitcoin goes lower than what it has right now. Honestly, is more rewarding than doing day trading for me. I'm not a very good trader and that's why I've found myself to be at my best with patience through holding. Someone who's desperately wanting to earn more are likely to do many things and ways that they don't mastered yet and in the end, they're prone to more losses which will make them restart and back to zero.
Day trading does not mean short profits all the time because there are definitely those who are good in trading and make huge profits even if they only trade in a short term. It might be more risky but somehow its rewarding as long as you know how to do it right when all of a sudden the market crash.

But i know most of us here are really into long term trading as they believe that they can yield better profits compared to short term or day trading. Being desperate when it comes to your finances will only worsen the situation so as much as you can keep calm and wait for the market to give you good chances to earn and not that you want to earn eagerly even if the timing is not right. Good earnings definitely come when you know you are making it out from your hardwork and patience.
1733  Economy / Economics / Re: knowledge and Capital which is Very important in Business or Investment? on: September 08, 2021, 10:06:48 PM
Both are very important in supporting success in investing, even not only investing but also for other sectors such as trading. Where knowledge will be very influential, especially when balanced with very sufficient capital, it can also be added with a good attitude, this positive mindset is all a complete package that I believe will be successful and last a long time.
But not all investor or a trader has that. Its either one has the knowledge but lacks in capital, and its vice versa. But if you really aim for a successful investment, you should be ready and prepared to accumulate both knowledge and capital because they are both essential when you want to run a profitable investment.

Although knowledge alone can create good ways how to earn an income but it will be more advantage if you have a good amount of capital too. The best positive result will definitely happen if you are both prepared to learn and to earn.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Ethereum reach 10k? on: September 08, 2021, 09:33:58 PM
Everything is possible in crypto especially Ethereum is an Altcoin with a level of trust that has been recognized but in fact at this time which has entered mid-September the price is still heading towards $4K while Bitcoin today has already reached $52K. Maybe or not, Dogecoin has passed the predicted price let alone Ethereum.
I do agree that ETH is doing bigger than what we would guess at this point. 4K is something we wouldn't really guess if it was any other situation, but we are in a small bull run right now which is why it is totally possible. I say 10k for ethereum and 65k for bitcoin is definitely in the plays, maybe even 100k for bitcoin.

This means that we need to turn this small bull run into a huge bull run like we had last year, if we could do that then we could definitely see huge numbers. However, without a big return on ethereum and basically having a huge bull run then we are not going to be able to make that much money, it will definitely be something that is difficult to do. Huge bull runs do not come twice a year, haven't seen anything like that yet, not saying it won't happen but it is something very rare and we already saw so much increase this year during last spring.
Ethereum has made a huge step upward with those previous days and then it suddenly dump causing its price to go down a little too. But i know it will always recover after this price correction and expect that it will go beyond its last price. I think $10k is very possible for ethereum but i cannot assure that it will happen this year. Probably ethereum will hit that amount the following year.

But if bitcoin and ethereum will continue to be bullish after a little price correction then maybe i can assure that this $5k new ATH for ethereum will definitely happen this year. And bitcoin will break its new ATH too creating a bullish market for the whole crypto.

1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is not Legalized Despite the Many Benefits on: September 08, 2021, 07:29:54 AM
Cryptocurrency poses a certain threat to the national currency, and the decentralization of cryptocurrency is not controlled and influenced by the government.
National governments pay more attention to their own interests. Some countries do not legitimize cryptocurrency because they cannot control it or obtain benefits from it.
Bitcoin price volatility will also have certain risks, which will cause some economic losses, and it will not be accepted by more people.
If only the people will have the power to legalize the use of crypto but sad to say the government officials will always have the final say and that their decision will always be fixed and final. And knowing that the government is totally opposed with the decentralized nature of crypto so it has no way that it will be ever legalized. But of course the government laws and policies will always vary like El Salvador had and so they come up legalizing bitcoin and eventually adopting it as a legal tender.

However, there are also reports that crypto or certainly bitcoin is involved in different scamming and money laundering so maybe the government is also considering that case and think that it will never bring any good to the people.
1736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel uncomfortable if I don’t buy on: September 07, 2021, 11:16:36 PM
I started putting 1k into Bitcoin every time it drops by 5k since 60k. And I ran out of funds a little while ago.

The fact that I can’t buy this dip just makes me extremely uncomfortable.

It makes me feel shifty and nervous of the fluctuations. Whereas before I looked forward to it falling so I can just buy.

I guess this is the part where I wait.

This is a very risky thing you do in terms of having a quality life. In my opinion, you shouldn't invest all your funds into Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in the market. These are very volatile currencies and the amount of your loss would be really huge. Instead of doing it, prefer to buy some Bitcoin periodically with smaller amounts. This will help you allocate some of your funds to do something different. Don't be dependent on only cryptocurrencies.

But he has not mentioned if he is only investing in btc or any other crypto. We actually don't know his other investments by those few statements. Anyway, it seems the OP is getting "addicted" with btc market and he has to evaluate himself if he is ready for this roller-coaster ride in crypto. He should learn how to control his emotions. Otherwise, it may affect his mental health.
I guess OP seems very emotional when he was not able to buy at the dip. If he will always be that way, then maybe crypto won't work for him. He should work for it and as much as possible  be more patient at all times so that he won't miss another chance. I think most of us have experienced of lacking funds sometimes but it won't end up like how OP feels. I suggest he should be more flexible and never be carried by his negative emotions as it won't help him all throughout his trading journey. I know in time he will be able to develop what he needs to. It just a matter of experience accumulation and definitely learn from their mistakes.
1737  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: September 07, 2021, 07:15:42 PM
I will introduce them from the age where they are mature enough and they should think about the future and I hope they will get it very quickly because according to today's technology everything is growing really well and the crypto is so advanced and today every one likes to invest in it like never before.
For me, as much as i want to introduce crypto trading as early as possible, but i know i cannot force my child if he likes to focus on some other stuffs for now because that will make his life happy and complete. But in the near future, when time he becomes more mature then i think introducing about crypto trading might be a good idea. I guess its a matter of right timing.

Crypto trading is definitely a good way to make your life profitable so i will always want to share it to my children so they can also start learning how to do it. But for now, i think they are still much engrossed with childhood stuffs so maybe i'l just wait for the right timing instead. After all, providing money is not yet their concern.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your investing Strategy on: September 06, 2021, 11:04:27 PM
I am currently investing in an old altcoin that I trust, which the coin is already based on my research. Because based on experience I will choose a coin that is strong and held by a bearish market and quickly recovers. For NFT is currently trending, if you have more funds, it can be adjusted to your current capital, and of course the risk is borne by each.
For me, it will be more profitable if we come up investing in those potential coins that are still developing actively in the market and has a good community demand, and those trending NFT games that are currently creating huge interest on the part of its gamers and might still want also to invest in
NFT projects as they have potentials also to be more valuable in the market.

We all have different strategies  when it comes to our own investments and probably your strategy won't work for me or the other way around. So it will be a good idea to continue exploring new investing strategies as they can be more helpful in achieving our goals in a clearer picture.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7th September 2021 Bitcoin becomes legal tender first in history on: September 06, 2021, 10:34:57 PM
El Salvador is not US or China or any country that has economic power, when it was announced that El Salvador will make Bitcoin a legal tender some months back, no notice effect on the crypto market, I do not think this would result to any positive price trend, but this is a good news though.

While I'm not sure how much but El Salvador news did help the last market sprint. It was one of the bullish news that rode bitcoin to the all time high price around $63K. Like you said, it's good news even though it might have little to no effect on the market at this point. But there's a lot to expect from this as plenty of El Salvador citizens would start using bitcoin, making payments and transacting among other peers.
It was a good news by then but for now, i think there is no more effect on the market anymore. But if there will be a new country who will start to adopt bitcoin and use it again as a legal tender, then definitely it will cause another huge pump on the market and may even cause to hit its new ATH earlier as what we expected.

Perhaps not all people living in El Salvador are excited to use bitcoin as a legal tender maybe because there is no clear education about bitcoin that should be initiated by the government and so retirees have made a protest. But i know as much as the leader of the country knows best for its governance, then hopefully he will be able to produce a mass education for all so that all the citizens will be able to understand what they need to know about bitcoin.
1740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make $5,000 a month day trading? on: September 03, 2021, 08:54:38 PM
With your capital of $15000, you are making at least 33% return every month, I think that's unrealistic, you can never be consistent in making profit in a monthly basis, because if you do, then there should be no problem increasing it as you can easily increase your capital with the profit you will accumulate overtime.

The question is, "is it possible?" yes, but unlikely.
