17201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we moving towards the Global Crypto Currency Depression? on: July 12, 2017, 03:42:53 AM
If you've been in the cryptocurrency world for a long time chances are you already know that these crashes are normal. As august 1 is approaching fear is going to continue to make the prices drop. Also, I think altcoins are heavily affected due to the huge number of ICOs being opened and also because you can't buy some altcoins with USD, only in exchange for bitcoin.
17202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just received small BTC randomly? Strange transactions. on: July 11, 2017, 04:24:38 PM
I just received 0.00000001 BTC yesterday out of the blue.  Looking at the transaction ID, whoever or whatever it was sent the same amount to a bunch of other addresses.  Any idea what is going on?

Transaction ID
146b436377f364dcd9d1a74e70b75e47e695cb345d1e2ba566a6afc6575f6f25

Very weird. I have like more than 8 total wallets and I haven't had such a transaction. Doesn't look like an accidental send, doesn't look like his/her intention was to give you bitcoin (or a few satoshis) either. Someone trying to spam the blockchain maybe?  Cry
17203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why bitcoin fees is $1.60 to send bitcoins on: July 11, 2017, 03:59:48 PM
Hi,

I want to know why bitcoin is charging me $1.60 for sending $1 to another bitcoin wallet address ?

Can anyone confirm how i can send bitcoin without blockchain charging me fees.

It is because of the scaling issues we've been having for weeks and months. Heres a decent article for you to get more information about it: https://cointelegraph.com/explained/bitcoin-scaling-problem-explained

Anyway, I've done a transaction recently and I only paid for like 15 cents for a 30 minute transaction. What wallet are you using? if you couldn't choose your own transaction fee, I suggest changing wallet services. Try electrum.
17204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What does 'Pump and Dump' means in crypto trading ? on: July 11, 2017, 02:35:43 PM
hi all.,

i am not a day trader , so i dont know much about these terms.,

there was trollbox on polo where people used to say pump and dump specific coins. but trollbox is gone now.,

from basic understanding dump means DROP,
does the PUMP means buy ?

Good question. As we see alot of "pump and dump" telegram groups lately.

Pretty much the group owner/leader will call signals on when to buy or sell a specific cryptocurrency.

Before the group owner/leader makes a buy call, he buys himself a good number of a certain crypto first, and then he makes the signal. So what happens? Since alot of members from the whole group are buying that certain crypto, the price will rise.

Then what happens? Probably after a few days, the leader will then make another signal. the sell signal. before he calls the signal, he sells first. So he can get the best margins from the crypto.
17205  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: July 11, 2017, 11:04:22 AM
The death penalty is too simple a punishment for rapists. They need to cut off the genitals and shut up in prison until the end of life. Women need to be given weapons to prevent such cases, this will significantly reduce crimes.

As much as I don't like seeing genitals being cut off, I think only this kind of fear can stop rapes from happening. Like, I'm in pain just by imagining it. What much more if it's actually done. LOL. They might probably think death penalty by lethal injection may be too peaceful and painless.

If she had worn this.. then he got enough punishment LOL

This actually looks like a decent countermeasure for rape lol. I can't imagine the pain that can cause. ugh.
17206  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Self-Learning Artificial Intelligence Robot "saves" little girls on: July 11, 2017, 08:47:31 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3rfAEbveWU

Before a shelf with books falls, the robot raises it's arm and saves a girl climbing it. Apparently the action was self learned. What did the robot wanted? The decision process review should be awesome to analyze.
This is all good and nice but what happens if the robot starts to learn the bad things and starts to implement it in todays society. That will be catastrophic for the entire world when the machine rises.

Looks like you've watched too much terminator dude.  Grin

Anyway, is there even any proof that the action was self learned? The robot raised it's arm the moment the girl went close to the shelf, not because the shelf was going to fall. I don't know about you but I think it's pre-programmed. With that said decision processes of robots are fascinating indeed. I need to get more info on that topic.

17207  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Trump acts as a bully in a handshake on: July 11, 2017, 05:24:28 AM
It could mean almost anything.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Trump fan.

People just immediately go into conclusions saying that "trump is showing dominance" or some other things like "trump doesn't have manners" or something. I think people are over analyzing a stupid handshake. What is he's handshaking skills are just really bad? Even though he's probably had a thousand handshakes his whole lifetime.  Cheesy

But yea, it could also mean he's a bully. Lol
17208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hedge, Hodl or Sell Bitcoins? on: July 11, 2017, 03:03:32 AM
Do your own freakin research. If we knew exactly what would happen, then we would be freakin multimillionaires already. Hold if you're a true cryptocurrency enthusiast and you think that it will rise back up anyway in the future. Sell if you're panicking and you think it will crash hard. Exchange your bitcoins for other altcoins/cryptocurrencies if you think they wouldn't crash with bitcoin.
17209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm panicking, tell me it will be OK... on: July 11, 2017, 12:26:16 AM
If you've been really trading for more than a year, you should definitely know that this drop is only going to be temporary. I honestly expect alot more panic from the newer crowd.

Should you sell? or not? If you think you can make more profit or make back your losses by selling at a loss, then go sell! Want to make profit with lower risk? wait till the price goes up again.
17210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mine alt coins and withdraw bitcoin? on: July 10, 2017, 02:02:04 PM
- I DO NOT KNOW IF I AM IN THE RIGHT FORUM IF I AM NOT PLEASE NOTIFY ME -
Hello i am wanting to mine alt coins but from what i am seeing is that most company's only accept bitcoin.
Is there any way that i am able to do what the title says that isnt nicehash?

I'm not 100% sure, but I this is only possible through cloud mining, which is something I don't suggest using.

If you use your own hardware, the simplest solution is to just mine the altcoins then just exchange them to bitcoin using crypto exchange sites in like every week or month.
17211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blacklisting of government wallets on: July 10, 2017, 01:01:22 PM
https://www.wired.com/2013/12/fbi_wallet/

The FBI seized 144,000 bitcoins, which are worth $300 million today.

Right now bitcoin taxation is impossible, with or without address blacklists.

It's not impossible. They can raid your home, seize your computer, transfer your bitcoins from your wallet to theirs and then go on a nice vacation with your money.

Yea. How could they know how many wallets you have and how much you have in the first place? Don't use wallet services where they hold your private keys for you.

Also, blacklisting wallets is a very very bad idea. Let people decide on how they want to hold their cryptocurrencies.
17212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funding a movie with Bitcoin possible? on: July 10, 2017, 12:44:15 PM
Would it be possible to fund a reasonable budget movie (say $10MM) via BTC or Ether?

What do you think would be required to get enough interested contributors including some whales?

Ofcourse it's possible. It only depends on the director/funds manager or whatever you call the person who manages the funds/finances. But most likely not soon, since crypto is still very volatile. They wouldn't want to risk their funds crashing.
17213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If we were all inmortal would religion die? on: July 10, 2017, 07:02:33 AM
if we would all live forever, would people still go to churches and pray? what would happen to faith when death is no longer a problem...?

This is the weirdest question I've read in this subforum yet. How high are you? LOL

Well, to answer your question, why not? In Christianity's perspective God is the ultimate father and our creator. So why not? Just because we won't go to heaven or hell we should stop worshiping him?
17214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Illuminati on: July 10, 2017, 05:20:10 AM
You need to stop watching conspiracy theory videos. LOL.

Let me guess, the illuminati created ethereum to compete with bitcoin?  Grin Grin bitcoin and Ethereum are two different coins with different goals and purposes.

Gotta admit though, there are some good and entertaining conspiracy theory videos.
17215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the most that you've made or lost in a single trade? on: July 09, 2017, 12:54:26 PM
Biggest loss on me trading is only $50 as I am very careful about my trades and I usually play safe. It was on ethereum. Ibthought the dip would stop at 340. Well guess what. Were on the $260 range lol. Thankfully I only managed to buy a small amount that day.
17216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think President Trump should do about North Korea? on: July 09, 2017, 12:31:22 PM
Just bomb the hell out of Kim Jong Un. China won't retaliate, they may just take over the bombed-out country.

Think about it. If they nuked North Korea to kill Kim Jong Un, don't you think that alot of innocent lives will affected too?
17217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: a Student wants to work on: July 09, 2017, 11:32:31 AM
Will this bitcoin thing will help me as a working student?

Depends on what course youe studying. It's better if you're in the IT/CS field.

If you're in that field, probably get a entry level job or an internship on a decent company that provides jobs for your specialization, then after gaining a few years experience, you can now move to companies that use blockchain technology. Not sure if they are currently hiring, but companies maybe like Bitpay and such.
17218  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Introduction of mobile phones on: July 09, 2017, 10:35:47 AM
It can be a boon or a bane. It just completely depends on the person using it.

It becomes a bane if people use social media in public places instead of actually socializing with lets say, your family or friends.

It's a boon if you take advantage of smartphones by the way it's supposed to be used. "information on your fingertips". It should be a tool for easily accessing information on the web, not mainly for selfies.
17219  Other / Off-topic / Re: What top three youtube channels do you guys watch for Bitcoin news? on: July 09, 2017, 05:00:34 AM
There are lots of youtube channels that provide info about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, but here are my personal picks:

Boxmining: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxODjeUwZHk3p-7TU-IsDOA
Crypt0: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdUSSt-IEUg2eq46rD7lu_g
Ameer Rosic: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaPSoa3hoxgouMd8YdlUwXQ

They're the best in my opinion as they give real information and insights, not like the others that just shove their cloud mining referral links to your face for 3/4 of the whole video.
17220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ethnic Azeri girls from Azerbaijan were subjected to sex trafficking. on: July 09, 2017, 04:24:51 AM
I don't understand how the traffickers manage to live knowing how cruel are the things they've done. Also knowing that there may be minors being sold for sex. It's just straight off sick and disgusting.

Also, are forced marriages a thing in Iran? How could they just simply marry a woman and then end it in 10 days.
