17221  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: July 08, 2017, 05:32:08 PM
Taxes are a hidden kind of theft that legally obliges all citizens to pay money. But when citizens need help in trouble, the state in some countries will not even think of helping someone who for many years has been paying taxes for being thrown out.

You cant just blindly claim that taxes = theft; you shouldn't generalize not only in this topic but also in every topic.

It's different for every country and for every government. Taxes are and should be used to pay for economical, government property issues, etc. Not because alot of country's governments are corrupt, it doesn't mean that all of them are. I like to be optimistic and think that there are a few national governments out there that are actually using tax money good and right.
17222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to learn everything about bitcoin and blockchain and cryptocurrency.. on: July 08, 2017, 05:08:46 PM
Hello guys,

I registered here a while back but as it has become hot again i want to know everything about this industry.

I know a few thing or two but i want to know in dept about all this stufs like how blockchain functions, how does market works, how the price goes up and down, some basic terminologies that are used everyday here.. etc

Can anyone recommend any book or anything?? I am extremely curious as i think thw blockchain technology is the future and many industries will benefit from it.

My background (if anyone want to know): I am an internet marketer with around 5 years or experience and really think that i am already behind and want to catch up as fast as I can.

Sorry if there are any typos, i posted this via my mobile.

Thank you all in advance!!

Hi Coinzzz! I just want you to know that you had a very good choice by studying about the wonderful technology which is blockchain.

Just like to every beginner thread I read, I always suggest reading coindesk's guide compilation. It's enough to get you started. Link: coindesk.com/information/

Unfortunately I can't suggest you any books since I haven't personally read a blockchain-focused book, but you might be interested in some informative youtube channels. Here are some I personally watch:

17223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about the death penalty? on: July 08, 2017, 03:40:44 PM
I personally believe it's better to let 100 guilty men go free than to kill one innocent man. Therefore I am against the death penalty.

That's an interesting way to look at things. Knowing that those guilty men can and might change for the good. I personally think criminals (even murderers) should be and deserves second chances. But this has a very huge downside. If they know they can be given chances to be a free person again in the future, they might go ahead and do crimes due to them knowing that they won't be hung or be a prisoner forever. In my opinion it's really REALLY hard to decide on if death penalty should be used or not, as it depends on many many factors.
17224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: July 08, 2017, 03:10:37 PM
As i see, there's no way you could earn big enough from trading.
You're very wrong. daytrading is very very profitable if you know what you're doing. I know someone personally who does this as his daily job. Yes, he doesn't make profit everyday, but when he does make a profit, it's surely big.

I suggest spend only your 40%-30% of your portfolio. Altcoins are aIl sleeping. I feel frustrated right now because i loss big amount. But it's okay tho. That's part of the game.
Once again, wrong. Altcoins are sleeping? Have you seen the recent prices? They've went up and down sharply multiple times! I'm a very newbie trader but I've made a bit of money from trading these altcoins just buy timing it right.
17225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When investment goes -100% on: July 08, 2017, 02:50:56 PM
So I'm actually facing this dilemma at the moment. I made three investments in three coins at poloniex.
Now all three of those are down more than 100% of the value that I bought them for, so I guess I got no options but to wait it out. It may take long time to get back to the value where I don't lose too much, but that is the only option I have.
Have you experienced anything similar in your tradings? How do you deal with such situations?

hah. I've seen bigger percentages of losses on my crypto portfolio.

Since you're complaining about price crashes of more than 100%, it looks like you've just bought those crypto coins recently. If that's the case, what the heck were you expecting? Double profits in 4 weeks? You need to think clearly. If profit was that easy to be made then we should be all millionaires now. Always remember the number 1 rule on investing on cryptocurrencies.

17226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 08, 2017, 02:36:22 PM
Hi.
I've got a hundred USD which I wanna invest in some altcoin. I know this amount is nothing, but since I'm a complete noob at cryptocurrensies, I decided to begin with the small amount. So, I want to try out how everything works, at the same time I want to keep my investment safe and sound. That's why  I'm looking for some underappreciated altcoin with the bright future which will graciously accept my modest investment and bring me it back with some profit Wink
Have you heard anything about this kind of coin?

Go visit http://coinmarketcap.com/ and study some of the altcoins. Mainly, that they can do, and what can they solve in life. Then go invest on the altcoins that you think has potential. Don't just buy altcoins because they're rising, as they could only be pump and dump coins.

Since your budget is pretty small, I suggest going for the coins that are lower in price (around $0.01-$5 minimum probably?). Or you could go for the a bit higher priced ones like EOS and NEO/ANS if you're planning on investing more cash into cryptocurrencies in the future.

Goodluck!
17227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate christians? on: July 08, 2017, 01:53:36 PM
Of course not. It makes no sense hating on a person who didn't do any harm. If you hate them for no reason, then you are the problem.

What I hate though, are religious extremists. Those that say that "gays are going to hell" and the like. They miss the point of their religion, which is love and peace. They're doing the complete opposite of this. They are said to even follow people to their houses if someone disagrees with them. Very sick group of people for sure.
17228  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hollow Earth on: July 08, 2017, 01:18:45 PM
Do you believe that the earth we live in is hollow? and that there is another advanced civilization there?

Is there even proof of this? Surely not.

I mean, I'm not very knowledgeable when talking about the earth, and what its made of but simple physics would tell you that this is quite impossible. If ever the earth was really hollow, the weight of everything above it would just crush whatever is in the "hollow earth" due to the weight.

I really like reading conspiracy theories to be honest, but this is just as rediculous as the "earth is flat" theory. Completely nuts.

17230  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good without a god on: July 08, 2017, 12:15:02 PM
I do not care who believes what, the main thing is that their faith and religion do not harm others. Every job has the right to choose what to believe, but you do not need to impose your choice on anyone.

This. If they don't have an impact on you then why do you need to mind them?

The thing is. Whatever religion or belief, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, atheism, theism, or whatever; If a certain person is bad, whatever belief he or she may have then he/she's going to be a bad person either way. Which is mostly in the case of religious extremists, whereas those people take things very literally not figuratively, which is the case when reading the Bible/Koran/whatever bible. There are good christians and bad christians, just like there are bad muslims and good muslims, also just like there are bad atheists and good atheists.
17231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet The Man Traveling The World On $25 Million Of Bitcoin Profits on: July 08, 2017, 11:46:45 AM
Even though he would have gotten more money by waiting a bit more, I sure damn would have done the same. I might even cash out half of them if I were him. But damn he had the guts to invest that much money even though bitcoin was far far from mainstream when he first started investing. I used to be a skeptic.
17232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can bitcoin be used for regular transactions.. on: July 08, 2017, 04:27:08 AM
I think bitcoin is almost good enough for regular transactions. We only need to resolve the scaling issues as soon as possible. No one would want to wait an hour and pay like $3 for a $4 coffee. Also, I don't see most stores/services wanting to accept bitcoin if the price hasn't stabilized. It's just too volatile as of now and it would be a gamble for them to accept bitcoin since the price can rise and crash as much as 20% within hours.
17233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin popularity made it vulnerable to governments on: July 08, 2017, 03:36:08 AM
Do your own research on bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is decentralized. No one holds such thing as a "master key". Qnd no, the government can't take over or even ban bitcoin. For them to achieve this they have to ban the whole internet, which is obviously very unlikely.
17234  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lost 300$ of bitcoin through Coinb wallet on: July 07, 2017, 05:28:53 PM
I bought the BTC through coinbase and transferred them to my https://coinb.in/ wallet so there was no way they knew where the bitcoin went.

Oh. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I personally don't use Coinb.in, but can you check on your wallet address where the $300 worth of bitcoins was sent? You can use https://blockchain.info to trace the transactions.
17235  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lost 300$ of bitcoin through Coinb wallet on: July 07, 2017, 05:14:48 PM
I need some help  with this, I seemed to have lost some coin here the story.
I bought BTC through coinbase with a credit card. 1000$ worth
I then transferred the btc to my coinb wallet because I purchase on the darknet and its an easy wallet to have setup multisig through.
I bought two things off the darkweb for about 700$ using my coinb wallet
There should be about 300 left in my coinb wallet
I logged in last night and saw that my balance was 0
My receiving BTC adress changed obviously because I had a transaction but I cant think of anything else that could have happen?
If anyone can lead me somewhere to statrt looking or give me some advice I would appreciate it.

The first move you should definitely be doing is to contact Coinbase. I'm not sure but I don't think Coinbase employees browse in these forums.

https://support.coinbase.com/

There's a chance they locked out your account for transacting on darknet markets though. That's a bad idea to begin with, especially when using a strict service like Coinbase.
17236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good to invest now on: July 07, 2017, 04:07:26 PM
Hi Guys, I am planning to invest some amount for cryptocurrency trading. Which coins are good to invest now apart from BTC,ETH,LTC,dash,XRP,XMR. Please suggest which are suitable for small investment like  1000$. Also Please share the link for trade.

Thanks

Don't invest this way. Not a good way of investing. I suggest going to coinmarketcap.com and do research on the cryptocurrencies (read white papers, check out their forums/subreddits, the community) then pick those coins that you believe has good usability and can help solve problems.

Personally I'd go with Sia and Golem.
17237  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: July 07, 2017, 03:12:14 PM
What is the most secure wallet currently? hacking stories scaring me too much!

blockchain's wallet is decent if you only hold like less then a hundred bucks in bitcoins. But if you have a good number of bitcoins/altcoins, I'd personally invest in a hardware wallet. Either a Trezor or a Ledger Nano S (or maybe a keepkey). Could never go wrong with those. I prefer them over paper wallets, but paper wallets are very safe too.
17238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Pleads Guilty of Stealing $365,000 Worth of Bitcoin From Darknet Criminal on: July 07, 2017, 12:12:30 PM
So he stole bitcoins from criminals. Not because he stole from criminals, it doesn't mean he can't be labeled as a criminal aswell. This isn't even close to robin hood. He still stole for personal gain. I would be more light on him if he donated them instead.
17239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you follow daily crypto news? on: July 07, 2017, 11:17:49 AM
I pretty much use everything. Reddit, YouTube (Crypt0, Boxmining, Ameer Rosic), Google News, bitcoin forums, etc. It's good to have diversity when it comes to attaining information from the internet, to prevent possible bias and to have diversified ideas from people.
17240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A big food delivery service is accepting Bitcoin in Germany on: July 07, 2017, 09:04:02 AM
I think you're a bit late on the news dude.  Grin  or is this a different food service/restaurant? I've seen a similar news recently. might be different.

Anyway, I'm not sure how spread-out bitcoin is in Germany, but any publicity is good publicity. It's always like, people see the sign "accepting bitcoin"(if they ever have one) and it will spark questions among the people, which is good.
