Hello!
We, all crypto users are wish a long life to bitcoin to it continue to bring us some extra profit on different ways. But one day something new will replace bitcoin. My question is - how many year you give to bitcoin before it will turn totally useless?

As long as people are alive it will always have some use.

17363  Other / Off-topic / Re: I discovered a baldness cure on: March 25, 2019, 09:26:55 PM
Along the same lines as the op I discovered significant hair growth for my self and my hair is less gray then it was.

But this was due to having untreated high blood sugar  which  caused some hair loss and some graying.

When I went on a keto diet  my a1c was reduced from 12.1  to 7.1  with no meds.  Just tons of protein and very little carbs.

My hair growth increased and my hair is more brown then gray.  It used to be more gray then brown.

The keto diet is not for everyone  and you may not get my results.

But if you find you have a lousy a1c number  you could give keto diet a shot with a doctor's supervision

17366  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I thought Trezor's were suppose to be secure? on: March 25, 2019, 06:42:46 PM
I haven't been keeping up on Cryptocurrency in a while. I went to go log into my Trezor and found out I needed to do an update. When I was able to login all my Cryptocurrency was gone. I restored from my recovery seed and same issue.

I noticed now when I recover using my Trezor recovery seed that the Trezor stays with the default settings, my logo is gone, the security is gone, transactions are missing...etc.

Has anyone else run into this issue and if so were you able to recover from it?

first off how much did you lose

and I am sorry for your loss

Never never never never never never never do a firmware update with coins in the wallets.

have a second trezor  that is fully updated and empty.

move all coins from outdated trezor
update it
check that your passwords are good.
doublecheck your seed.

move coins back to  updated wallet.

I have 3 trezor wallets
coinbase wallets
blockchaininfo wallets
and some core wallets on pc's with clones of the hdds

it is easy to lose your coins  without a shit ton of backup options.

Silicon lottery aside for the moment, at default frequency, what's the lowest voltage people have been able to maintain? At 710.4mV right now, 598MHz, seems to be stable, HW errors are reasonable

I had 598 at 740.1 mv errors were 0.6%
I am now testing

598 at 722.85 mv  errors are 0.9%

Cool good to have a comparison, at 710.4mV, I'm running 1.3% errors. At stock voltages and frequency (eco mode not custom) i'm around 0.9% error to 1.1% error.

If I go to 697.95 volts
and         559Mhz freq

I get 93.92 hash with 1% errors

and I can set fan to 10%  temps are 54.88/50.22 in a very warm room.
I will run this for a day

I suspect  if you don't mind losing a little hash rate

you can set lower

lowest volts is .644
maybe with 500mhz freq
5% fan

The four pdus arrived well packed I am testing them out.
17370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: March 25, 2019, 01:49:33 PM
Still same as before, the s9's and the dr5's  that's it.

They know how to work the sales.

I am sure many are hot to buy gear.

My T15 arrived running on low setting doing 20.9 th at 5 amps or 240 x 5 = 1200 watts

so this gear does 1200/20900 = 57.5 watt a th  that is much better then the specs

I will be looking for another meter to confirm that.

So the pdu meter reads 5 amps  and 5 x 240 = 1200

my more accurate meter read 5.45 amps and 5.45 x 240 = 1308 watts

so 1308/20834 = 62.8 watts a th pretty good but not the less accurate reading  numbers.

So no gear in site.

m10's = sold out
s15's = sold out
t15's = sold out

m20's = preorder
s17 = ?
t17= ?

oh my power reads 239-241 volts this will be moved to the Clifton Solar array on tues which provides 228 volts and I have 1 protection transformer left over which will do 220 volts.

All in all the t15 was a good price and on low speed is good with power at 62.8 watts

No info from fedex on trump tax I will post an update if they hit me with it.

Not sure what I'm missing, but it took 2 weeks to get .1 LTC Is that what others are seeing? (running on Turbo mode)
Hard for me to say because I have other miners running but that doesn't sound right.  What's in your pass field?

that is what it should earn 0.05 ltc a week

Most people mining don't mine at a standard pool I solo mine mine ( funny pun mine mine).

I think mining at a standard pool on turbo is not how to use these.

@ the op  I went to you website to buy one today and I was told the 10OFF-LAST-STOCK Is not valid.

That promotion was only valid for a week, turned it back on but only have like half a dozen units left so better be quick Wink

Got busy let me check it.

ordered second one #1811

thanks.
17373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: March 24, 2019, 03:47:59 PM
It is tough for me  I am no longer a garage 2x 30 amp 240 volt miner.

between my garage and the two solar arrays  I have access to 26x   30 amp x 240 volts.

about 134 kwatts  not all solar but if I pushed and did  100 kwatts mostly solar subsidized

it is  30 m20 king size units  that is 72 x 30 = 2.16ph

we are pushing 600th now with lessor gear.  We hope to move the lessor gear to a new site and fill every old site with

m20 +

I want to continue with whatsminer gear.
As it is good in price and efficiency.
It has also been decent in RMA service.

buying 33 units of m20+  will be over 66k plus trump tax of 18,216  this is a hard move for us to do.
that fucking tax is a bitch.
and now a rma worry makes thing worse.

One of the reasons I did the psu was to try to see how pangolin really is about rma of gear.

So I now will wait to find out what happens.
17374  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: power consumption on: March 24, 2019, 02:30:50 PM
let us try this again  you want the meter the have the correct receptacle ?

that is a no go

the meters  will have this

cut psu wires and add this

or make 1 adapter cable

I am getting 4 of these tomorrow

https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/accessories/apd/a7067536?

vosk sold them to me.
17375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: March 24, 2019, 04:27:12 AM
I hope they fix this now.

I really what to use them as they have been pretty good so far.

I am looking to get at least 10 new m20's if the demo works well,

maybe 20 new ones down the road.

Having a second company with good gear at a decent price helps.

At the moment they seem to compete with bitmain gear.

I can work direct with pangolin. use btc and bank transfer.
I can work with pangolin and minefarmbuy to order with PayPal.

I can not seem to order with PayPal and offordscott.

I am waiting for a reply on the m20 72th from pangolin.
I hope helping out with this psu has not ruffled feathers.
17376  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: power consumption on: March 24, 2019, 04:03:14 AM
what is the best way to measure power consumption? I see a lot of people reference the killawatt devices but I do not see any 220v version for US outlets. currently, all my miners are on L620P  - is there an easy way to measure or do I need to change all my outlets? I would not mind changing one out but again all the killawatt devices I can find are for 110v outlets

maybe I am blind and missing something?

some 110 will do 220 up to 1800 watts

wait for link

this will do under 10 hours and under 1800 watts

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0777H8MS8/

this will do 24/7/365  up to 22 amps at 220

https://www.ebay.com/itm/APC-AP7841-Rack-PDU-Metered-24-Outlet-Zero-U-30A-200-208V-20x-C13-4x-C19/192588091262?

you offered to do via escrow and buyer would pay escrow.

So I will offer to escrow them .

Buyer can send 920 + shipping plus 20 dollars for escrow to me.

I will hold coins till buyer gets the gear.

Then release coins to seller.

I have done a lot of escrows with no complaints.

Best regards

Phil

there were  acorns and the 1525's

the acorns  were not programmed or offered proper software.

the 1525's came late.

most likely  they held eth it crashed and that explains the 1525 issue.  my guess is  very bad money  management and the lack of

understanding of the risk of price crashing explains the FPGAs 1525's.

This is a fuckup ,but not criminal intent as such still not good. Stinks of a lawsuit big time.

But there is no info on why Acorns claimed to be able to do abc with software
and there is zero proof that software ever was around.
My opinion is  that sql will get sued over the acorns. Possibly get charged with fraud.

Since they have never proven the claims they made were true in the first place.
