should closed this thread..

We don't credit freebets everyday but like twice a week.
The promotion is still active, your feebet was not credited because there is no user with your username on our records.

New requests already credited!

We had fixed a bug that affected all our API users after our last commit (yesterday night)

Bets placed on a team/player were in fact entering on the opposite selection

All bets placed during these period involving API bets were cancelled (affecting this glitch.). Unmatched Bets were also cancelled, please free to place them again!

If you ever see again insane odds like Germany vs Nigeria paying 10.0 for Germany and /or 1.02 for Nigeria instead of Depositing and Betting, contact the support to confirm if the lines are OK

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Please make sure, your site is working right and these "bugs" wont happen again. If you also involved in making liquidity to BetBTC thats not bad, but if you make mistakes you should pay, like everyone else.

I was 95% sure you will cancel the odds, but you never know.

"If you ever see again insane odds like Germany vs Nigeria paying 10.0 for Germany and /or 1.02 for Nigeria instead of Depositing and Betting, contact the support to confirm if the lines are OK"

Odds like 5x for the favourite happens at Betfair at small markets, the difference between Betfair and BetBTC is Betfair always pay. I accept that you make mistake, but if you run an exchange don't say that we should ask if the lines are OK. If you say it, you are not an exchange, just a sportbook.

As I said before I want to make market, not betting on odds made by errors, but if I notice such a big mistakes I need to bet. I am staying and try to offer some more liquidity, but the experience of the last 2 days was very bad.

As you may imagine, the goal here is to be 100% bug-free, however and the reality is that unfortunately sometimes some glitches occurs. It happened two times in a row, the first due to our service provider, the second one due to improvements in our API methods.

Although everything is tested in a sandbox environment before going live, bugs are a real deal and sometimes some just detected on the real environment.

Please don't think now that there is the need to ask everytime if the odds are correct,  we are responsible for providing the correct information that each user is providing to the system and the majority of time they are correct, the tendency in the long run is to have a better system with fewer bugs as possible.

Just think like if you were on the other side: You have provided bets via API, your bets were wrongly transmitted to BetBTC and someone matched them incorrectly. Would you like no intervention from us?

Be assured that we are working in order to create the best experience possible, by adding more stability, security, new features and consistency to the system. That's why we keep working everyday for a better betbtc

Should you have any question or concern, please let us know.

Hey what just happened?
I just got canceled bets worth of 0.8 BTC.

We are having some issues with the feed provider. Will try to fix asap.
Expect some downtime on the next few hours!

------------

EDIT

Problem fixed. Some markets starting soon were canceled (stakes refunded)

We apologize for the inconvenience.

We were receiving incoherent data from the football feed provider and had canceled all live and starting soon matches to avoid wrong settlement (We rely on feed information to determine winner and loser bets)

We have already fixed the situation and future football events won't suffer from this bug (situation not covered)

Once again we apologize for the situation. It was the first time it ever happens on betbtc history and we hope and believe it won't happen again.

Other users please be advised that these bets were canceled more than 2 hours before the event starts

There were only 2 NFL matches, one is still in-play:  New Orleans Saints vs Houston Texans
The other will start in 75 minutes. Have you canceled any other market than Arizona Cardinals @ Oakland Raiders?

There were no matched bets on the other Event at the time of the issue, because of this the market wasn't automatically cancelled by the system. However we have canceled it manually but with a few minutes of delay.

Thats true, you cancelled the live event after my post.

After the news Paddy and Betfair will join I thought its a good idea to move some of my betting from Betfair to betbtc. This was my first bet in the last months at your site, but after this happened I don't feel safe to bet here. Also it might be a very unlucky coincidence.

It was really an unfortunate coincidence, we act as a betting exchange and we decided to cancel the bets because it would turn to be a much more complicated and embarrassing situation if the event was settled incorrectly. If that happened it would create a big mess and we would have much more resolutions to process and troubles to fix.

Your 0.8BTC withdrawal was already processed and we hope to see you around soon! Wink

maybe you can give more liquidity to each market with a sort of promotions with "free" cash only for bet
They already give this promotion few days back you can check in Games and Round section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=954547.0

The PROMO is still up.

You can get there your freebet up to 3 mBTC

i am from india and i am not using any proxy or like that , i use 3g dongle , other sports betting websites are opening without any problem, only your site is giving this type of problem.

i mostly use trading for cricket , soccer and tennis sports matches.

Please message us with your IP address.

would you be interested in selling the script of BetBTC?

I think your site has not enough liquidity currently (not even 0.050 BTC in most markets and too big spreads) and I would be interested in buying it from you  Wink

The software is not for sale. Contrary to what you wrote, betbtc is growing each day and we are verifying more liquidity every month Smiley

Let´s look at an example match, champions league qualifier between Tel Aviv and Basel  Wink
Quote
3,25 Back / 3,75 Lay
2,14 Back / 2,42 Lay
3,40 Back / 3,85 Lay

Market "depth" at the odds posted above:
13 mBTC Back / 26 mBTC Lay
531 mBTC Back / 335 mBTC Lay
2 mBTC Back / 1 mBTC Lay

Conclusion:
-market depth / available volume is a joke, the only selection, which is remotely acceptable is the volume for Back or Lay Basel... and even these numbers are way too low
-spreads are way too big (and I have not even included your commission in my calculations)

This of course only was one example market, but by looking at other available matches the situation is very similar at all markets.

Don´t get me wrong, I like your site and I would be very happy if it would grow but at the current liquidity I simply cannot use it. And with these big spreads
BetBTC is no competition for most of the other sportsbooks/exchanges  Sad

You may be aware that all liquidity available on BetBTC is provided by our users, this way you can't compare with the lines offered by regular sportsbooks because the spreads and the low liquidity are not BetBTC's fault.

If you had used BetBTC since the beggining (especcially before the API was implemented, just like 4 months ago) you would know the growing that I'm talking about. At that time there were only just little markets with unmatched volumes and users deposits were too low comparing to now. Believe me, we keep growing...  Grin

Keep offering a good service, always paying on time, and keep staying on the market for long enought like the "other sportsbooks" that you are reffering to, would bring the more users and liquidity that we are missing at the moment.

We have no hurry to break our milestones. We know the amazing solution we developed, mow we need to wait and the time will talk by itself

What Sport / Feature would you like to see added to BetBTC ?
1752  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BetBTC Campaign - 3mBTC Free Bet on: August 24, 2015, 02:57:58 AM
I do not understand about the back and lay?  Undecided

Back means => "Bet On" (odd is the payout / higher odd is better)

Lay means => "Bet Against" (odd is the liability / lower odd is better)

We have hit the 100.000 Bets.

Congratulations BetBTC  Shocked

I guess 100,000 bets for almost one year is too low, you can do some campaign to promote your site or put some banner to increase your bets. Hope you can hit  200,000 bets is the next month and btw congrats for the interview in coinnewasia  Grin

Indeed, but we also need to know how many btc wagered in those 100,000bets. I guess it is not a huge amount and most of the bets were made from their free btc promotion. No offense..
And yeah, they need to do more promotion and provide more events & markets if they want to compete with other sports betting sites. But of course congrats to their achievement on 100,000bets as well  Grin

We have more than 80 BTC's on our cold wallets at the moment (user deposits).
The amount we gave on the promotions is irrelevant comparing to that. On the best chance we only give 0.003 to each user. We have spent less than 0.3 on freebets and other promos (all-time).

Contrary to what you told, the majority of bets were placed automatically via API. We already have some dozens activelly using it Smiley
