1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 11:43:15 AM
I’m not even sure if his supposed betslips are genuine. He has a partnership with Stake, that’s obvious. Do we really think he’s making these large bets or are Stake just giving him them to post and paying him to do it.

I run a successful ladies clothing store online, we have had many public figures make instagram posts wearing our line. They didn’t pay for any of the clothing, we paid them to model it. I believe Stake do something similar with Drake. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s the modern day version of advertising, paid promotions.

Personally, I don’t believe Drake makes these bets with his own money.

I'd love to know if you pay the influencers their complete ad money after giving them clothes. Similarly it could be what Drake and stake is working on. Personally, I knew drake as a gambler when he wagered a million dollar on stake casino. Then, later I found he's their ambassador. Many people knew drake as a gambler through stake and vice versa. The casino can easily fund his account, and he won't withdraw the funds even if he wins. As he losses, no problem. I've not seen screenshots of his, signifying a successful withdrawal. It can be fabricated. But, nothing of such have appeared on his page, while I was following him on Instagram. The complications to the truth here is, drake is a successful musician. He can fund the money. So, they should be a benefit of doubt, regarding who funds him. Stake has the money to do that as well. Otherwise, on a marketing perspective stake is doing what you did with Influencers. You can't advertise on your page what you don't use, and expect massive leads. Rick Ross for instance, always goes along with belaire rose drink almost in all his photos and videos. Such marketing technique helps to memorize the product on the brain of his fans. Have you thought of trying out a single influencer with huge following, doing same thing for your clothing store? Instead of moving from one influencer to another. I tried this with two twitter influencers, the generated lead was average because it was just a month marketing campaign. Going with one big influencer for a long time, definitely builds relationship between the product and their followers. The followers will love what the influencer promotes and would love to wear the kind of clothe they're putting on. Even coke take promotional photos meant for advertisement. By having a celebrity hold a bottle of coke in the photo, then share on his or her social media page.
1742  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people needs productive mindset to be happy in life on: October 16, 2023, 11:13:46 AM
Do you wish to alter their mindset? Believe me, it's quite challenging. For most people, the 9-to-5 mentality is the path they tread. Creative and productive thinking often faces apprehension due to the associated risks, while working 9-to-5 poses no risk other than perhaps the occasional scolding from the boss, with a steady monthly paycheck being the norm.

From my observations, more individuals tend to utilize their free time for productive pursuits, such as delving into textiles, video editing, photography, or other activities typically linked to their hobbies. Everyone yearns to engage in riskier ventures only when they feel financially secure. And the productive behaviors they undertake often carry high costs. Thus, it's usually their hobbies that bring them joy.

With the economical problems in the society, it doesn't make entrepreneurship the safest zone for everyone. Working 9-5 is also productivity. Division of labor increases productivity. When beginning a business alone it takes up time and requires additional help from people to stand the business firm. So, not everyone can follow that route. They'll prefer to do 9-5 work and grow their skills there. Provided that the employee is been treated well, there is no need of leaving 9-5 to venture into personal business. Many graduates that do corporate works, enjoy it. I'd only advise people who don't enjoy their 9-5 jobs to venture into other businesses. Also, it's important to follow up our skills, such that when we decide to stand alone it won't be a hassle. If the skill turns hobby, then it's a good thing for the person. They can also stay consistent with it, and build strong reputation. On the other hand, most people may not be able to remain consistent even when the skills being exerted is their hobby. Not everyone can be a boss. Some are or become productive, when taking orders from their boss. Such people when left alone to start a small business, they'll fail to do the right thing. Without a mentor, present. I've seen friends, who don't need to entangle themselves with the risk involved in running a business. Hence, they do work hard for the government or boss, not to be yelled at by their boss. It's a matter of orientation and personal behavior in the establishment or company they work.

Currently, it is very necessary to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in undergraduate graduates so that they are not too dependent on work because it is difficult to find work, because what companies need is expertise and experience.
And most of them also have a high sense of prestige, and most of them will refuse if they are accepted into a job that is not in line with their profession and the salary is not appropriate. In fact, that is where his career and success will begin. Because as long as they start from the bottom, they can develop their abilities and also learn from the work they do, so they can be promoted when there are vacancies or they are needed.

That's why entrepreneurship was integrated into the school curriculum, to help undergraduates understand what the labor market looks like. It's funny to say that, students, some, believe they'll get automatically employed after hitting 4.0 and above GPA. And a good number of them get frustrated after performing well in school and faced with no job. It has led many to venture into bad activities that land them into a more difficult life situation. Hence, with entrepreneurship being thought in school, students will easily learn about fresh skills. Build it from school days, until they graduate. At least if they have 2 year skill experience before graduation. They can practice that skill, after school. Earn some funds through it, and improve the quality of the skill. While looking out for a company to work. Luckily, when such a person gets hired s/he will be proficient in the company.
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 09:05:42 AM
Now, the big question is this.... Is Drake being funded by Stake.com to make these huge bets, because he is an affiliate and a brand ambassador for Stake.com.  Huh

The same thing apply to his occasional gambling streams, where he gives away tons of money. It is one thing using your own money, but paid streamers are playing with casino money.

Will we ever know what happens behind closed doors.... right.  Tongue

I think you have a valid idea there. For instance, celebrities affiliated to wine companies get free supplies for advertisement purpose. But, from the look of things, Drake gambles often and doesn't win often. Which resulted to the drake curse. Any team he support doesn't win. Do you think stake is getting their funds back from his losses and milk the publicity to their own personal advantage. A lot of drake fans, can easily switch to stake casino for their gambling activities. Most celebrities that doesn't promote online gambling, mainly gamble offline. Also, they don't flaunt their gambling lifestyle. Drake shares screenshots across his social media platforms, which is doing his work as an ambassador of stake casino. He is yielding the casino lots of profits and may be given the privilege to receive additional funds for gambling. It is certain, money spent on streams is sponsored by the casino for promotional purposes. I know celebrities for gambling indoors with other celebrities. Mostly card games. Although, from his deal, he may be restricted from using other online casinos, that's why we may not have seen him staking on other online casino aside stake. But, since, he is making fame too from his huge wagers, Stake may not sponsor all the money. They could pay for some percentage, while drake completes it with his own money. Probably, what the casino pays him as a brand ambassador.

I wonder how his endorsement deal with Stake works. Their brand is all over his Instagram, where he has over 143 million followers. Every time he posts a bet slip it gets noticed by major publications. The reason why Drake's Curse is even a thing is because of the enormous publicity he receives. It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume he is making as much money as some of the highest paid athletes in the world. Betting a few hundred thousand is probably nothing to him. What he earns from the endorsement is more than enough to cover his losses.
He is very popular and wealthy, which makes it easy for him to attract people with his updates. If he were to promote a gambling site, which I believe he is, people might follow him in gambling on the same site. I'm not sure if the amount he lost is real or if he's just trying to promote a gambling site in that way. But as long as it's less than a million, I think it's quite reasonable, given his millions in net worth. I think he bets on various sports because I know he also wagers on NBA games, not only betting but also attending games courtside during playoffs.

He wagers on other sports on Stake casino. That's what matters. It's been a long term deal, and the both parties must have built some rapports. They work together to receive the best results. Stake is getting what they're paying for, and it's drake's duty to give them the best publicity. The argument can be, whether he uses his earnings from stake to play games or stake provides additional funds for his gambling activities. If he is playing his music money, I don't think he'll wager often times huge amounts like that. The real money comes from stake; endorsement money and commissions. Stake offers good commission to advertisers and Drake could be getting some of it for the people playing because of him. But, I'm not sure how they track the traffic he's pulling to stake casino.
1744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 16, 2023, 07:51:47 AM
I understand that gambling shops are popular in some parts of the world like Africa and Eastern Europe... people visit these shops to place their bet via agents of the big casinos and betting companies. A good percentage of those who patronise these shops are the elderly and less educated people who do not know how to go about registering and playing online. So they are constrained to patronise these shops.

A good number of knowledgeable players use these shops to stake games. Mostly for virtual games. The interesting thing about gambling shop is the social activities. Some gamblers would want to discuss with other like minds. It's fun.
I agree with you regarding the social activities and fun part of the gambling shops. Just like you said, VFL is one aspect of gambling that is booming and mostly played in the shops even though it is also played online.
However, that does not remove the part that majority of those who actually gamble in these shops are the least educated and probably the elderly. I have visited such shops on several occasions just for the fun part of it but even while in the shop I gamble with my phone online. I replied you just to make this clarifications so that we are on the same page.

Sure we may be on same page, but what would you have to say about gambling shops in campuses? where students go out in numbers to stake games. Despite being aware of the online games. In the society, they're places filled with less educated people and vice versa. So, you may be referring to the environment you found yourself. I think the gambling agents pay immediately compared to playing with the platform directly online. The withdrawal processes and all, could be the reason why most players still prefer to use or stake game in gambling shops. Circling the majority of such gamblers as less educated isn't correct. Unless you mean less educated about online gambling. It may be easy to accept. Most of the educated people, read and write. Yet it doesn't mean they'll be able to do some things by themselves. It's safe to think that any educated person can gamble online. If no one introduce them to it, they may not have the idea. Some before they began gambling online. It'll look impossible to gamble without the gambling shops. Because they don't know it or haven't practiced it. Until a friend show them how the online gambling work. And how many working days it'll take for withdrawal to reflect on his bank account. Maybe not everyone would be able to wait for the processes, as patience has nothing to do with being educated or not. However, anyways, the disadvantage of not being able to wait for the processes, still follows as the example in this thread.
1745  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people needs productive mindset to be happy in life on: October 15, 2023, 05:01:21 PM
The life we live now is so unpredictable, no one can be sure of practicing their desired career from what they have learnt in school.

I think if people really want to be happy in life, expecially undergraduates and young graduate they should learn not to give all expectations of having living job from the government.  If people create the mindset of being creative and productive in this era they will live a more happy life than putting all expectations of getting a dream job from the government.  A productive mindset is what young people needs to make life easy and worth living.

To be able to generate wealth, one must know how to join raw products together to create what people need or want. So, it's natural to make money from being productive. In any form, online, offline or drop shipping. What matters is figuring out the lacking services in a neighborhood, town, or city then implement it and watch profits flow. They're neighborhoods where people buy cooking gas in a distant place. Opening such a shop in that neighborhood would be solving a huge problem for the people there. Yet it doesn't stop the person from venturing into a government job. Generating money from different sources is encouraged for young people. Because most times the income we see online or even offline may fluctuate. A single business may not flourish at all times. Hence, having other little ways of generating money, can be a strategy to sustain us during the hard times in our main business. The mistake young people make is that they enter businesses they can't market. A lot of small businesses, yield huge profits. But, today, everyone wants to start big. Not knowing that making sales is the primary aim of business. Not having a nice office. There think one needs huge capital to be productive. Some home processed drinks still sell out in the market. What matters is having the product. How well organized the place is or how many workers you have is not crucial. Giving the quality product is what makes us more customers. Countries like India with big population, pay so much money to restaurants. Opening a food business in India is very profitable. Managers of such business make upto 1 million dollars, yet maintain a low key lifestyle. Agriculture is also nice, and requires few capitals to fit into the market and scale.

On the side of the courses we studied in school. Graduates fail to offer what they've learnt in school as a service. And, also, not searching to get hired, they've concluded within them that they is no job out there. A lot of good courses; computer science, mathematics, business, agriculture etc are easy to monetize as a graduate. Only students who don't know much about their discipline would see no light in venturing into the course they've studied in school as business. Consistency is what makes us successful in this era. Hence whatever we do, it's important we stick to it. One day can level up or level down one's enterprise.

Some gamblers would want to discuss with other like minds. It's fun. But, these mistakes is what keeps most people like myself away from gambling shops. Although, while in the shop the agent can pay cash, or convince the winner to come the next day. I think the agent used such technique to dismiss the player. Then made his moves to wherever he is today. Leaving behind the gambler. Since nobody helps them in booking the game, then most of them are learned people. Managing such a business is not easy. It requires a high management skill. A lot of gambling shops crumble, and they'll be waiting for a big win, boom rug-pull. He can't take giving out huge amount to his customer and remain with no fund. Adding that the money came through him. You see, these agents have a plan B. Some will shut down and never pop up again, while others can be opening from time to time. Reasonable agents while away work hard to replenish their customer, such as to open their shop again. Volatility can happen in their business, and not being able to hold the money and utilize it well, can be a problem when a huge amount is meant to be paid to a winner. I know they have their own profits, each play. With good business strategy, they'll have enough left to take care of wins, without feeling like stealing it.

Above all, the agent should be penalized by the company. Their moves affect negatively the reputation of the gambling platform. If some shop survive the business, and see great profits through it. I think those who have difficulty managing such a business, know little about the business. Before setting it up. Some rush to hire multiple staff, which managing them would be another expenses. So, while using gambling shops, we need to know who we're going to their shop. Whether they have good reputation and history.

1747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 15, 2023, 12:13:10 AM
With the skills you'll still need some luck. Even the poker player require luck to win. Although when we win, it's like the skill helped. But, unlike other enterprise, a skill doesn't work often or is not certain of playing out same results. The method that got you a win, may get another lose when applied again. Hence, gamblers should think fast and follow their instincts. Most times I doubt my instinct while playing roulette games and my instinct was right. I lost the game. It works like the house knows our next move. Hence, being 100% sure doesn't exist in gambling. That's why most players wager for a long time, so they'll definitely win, at some time. Every, almost, member that gamble use bitcoin to stake games. Because the casinos accept bitcoin. And are also advertised in the forum. A lot of casino reviews exist in the forum too, helping users to make the right decision when choosing a casino. So that you could get a reliable casino, that'll provide some winnings to spice your day.

Does anyone here really utilize these online crypto casinos to place bets in bitcoin and have you had much luck with it? What have you found to give you the best odds in winning? Is there any skill involved in any of their games or is it all purely chance?

Yes, there are lots of people who already won a huge amount in gambling. Are they lucky? Yes.

It won't be called gambling if everything is that easy to achieve. Though luck is really necessary to win big, there are gambling types where strategies can be applied such as sports betting, card games, sports, and any types of strategy-based games. In these games, you are not relying purely on luck but there's a method where you can increase your winning chances.

If you are asking what gambling type gives most gamblers the best odds of winning, and you will follow it for the sake of testing your luck, that's a wrong move. You should choose a gambling type that you feel comfortable playing with. We are risking our money here that's why at least you have an interest in what you are gambling for.

Same with the number of members who have lost lots of money in gambling. And it's as a result of not understanding how gambling works. Certain advise that sounds like techniques or gambling skills rove round the forum looking for addicts and lose chasers. Outside cutting loss techniques, and maximizing wins. A strong and reliable skill of winning games doesn't exist. In football, a lot still lose money. Despite looking like a game with nice odds of winning. Yet most big losses come from sport games. People gamble with emotions in sports, which affects their winning range. They bet always on the side of their team to win. It's wrong gambling. Your team cannot win all the time. Some bet because of a player they love is in the pitch or will be. These things makes sport games, complex to win. They'll have to figure out ways of analyzing their opponents too. Then follow it up with possibilities of who will be the winning team. Any injured player, top player, in the team. These weaken the strength of a team. With such analysis, a player can be a bit sure of who they staked their money.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 14, 2023, 10:56:15 PM
I may need clarifications on this. Does it mean the customer can't withdraw directly from the betting website. Where they booked games. Is the agent affiliated to their payments? Agents work for the website. Players can easily stake games online with their gadgets. And avoid these agents. It's really a sad regular story. Lots of players keep having problems with the agent not having sufficient money to pay their wins. Despite being credited by the betting company. I don't understand why people use the betting agent to stake game. And not prefer gambling completely online. No where is safe for gamblers. Similar kind of problem we always see about online casinos ripping player's money. The offline agents doing such thing are meddling with their reputations. Because people will never patronize them again. And he'll also lose out lots of profits as a result of not being punctual to work. By running from his customers.

A reputable gambling site can at least give you an assurance but still it is not guaranteed since they can also run away and take your money as well so better not to be complacent about it.

What happened to that gambler? Is he filling charges against that agent and still hoping for his money?
Too bad if the agent becomes greedy and run away with your winnings, maybe that business is not doing good and can’t pay the big wins from the gambler. If you know this kind of businesses make sure to know who’s the owner so you can file a case against him.

The owner of the shop is the agent, I guess. But, he is affiliated to the company. Knowing the owner of the company is quite difficult. They can be known by their online profiles, but seeing them in real life would be hard. Gambling consists of a lot of players who you cannot trust. Even the owner, agent or follow gamblers. Most of them need fast money. That's why we seen series of bad stories tagged to gambling. The best for players is to stake carefully and not trust so much any agent or platform with our wins.

1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 12, 2023, 10:44:08 PM
Ever heard of cross addiction or suffered from it?
What do you think?

I just found out there is a method like this, changing one addiction into another. I will not talk about addictive substances because I am not a user. But if we are a gambling addict and obsessed with other games like PS4, I think this is very interesting. However, PS4 addiction will not be a serious problem because the rental costs are cheap and if we buy a PS4 there are no monthly fees. Of course this is better than a gambling addiction which can cost $100 - $500 per month

But I'm not sure gambling addicts will be interested in PS4 because it's less challenging, there's nothing at stake like gambling where money is at stake. But there's no harm in trying it, I would recommend this to my friends who are quite addicted to gambling, I hope it works

His level of understanding in gambling could differ from what you think. PS4 contains interesting games like soccer. He'll enjoy being the controller. Not just sit back and watch television, while thinking of his bets. He has minimized his gambling addiction by this change. But, what then will replace his PS4 addiction? Op is right, he should endure and treat the addiction at once. Moving from one addiction to another, isn't a nice idea for any gambler. His productivity and time will still be affected, if he gets no medical attention. When recommending this to your friend, don't just watch them end that way. Think of ways of providing a therapy, that can better their behavior. How long would he sit on the gaming screen. Would he remain on that for how long before he's exhausted or tired of playing PS. Added to the fact he doesn't expect any money, despite giving out about 20Usd every month. What matters is saving up other people's money by mentoring them to become good managers. The advantage of such a redirection of focus can change the person to think better. Video games help our brain to think faster and better. The only disadvantage I can found about this is that, the player can still engage in gambling with other PS4 players. Such gambling is still addictive. Doing such thing, recommending your friend, being there should be crucial. To see and learn more on life. Because they'll need constant change of interesting activities until they stop gambling. For such a person, staying away from gamblers of all sort, will help the player change his thoughts. And get more productive with his time.
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 12, 2023, 10:15:21 PM
However, the facts say otherwise that most people who get involved in gambling, after getting a win, they always want to get a win that is bigger than what they previously got. This is what makes a person feel at home in gambling because they continue to chase wins and profits.

And here is a piece of the story about an incident that happened to a friend of mine in the world of gambling, where for the first time he made a fairly large deposit which, if converted into USD, was around 300 dollars and after that he played slot gambling for hours. and ended in a loss and the balance he had on the gambling site ran out without any remainder. However, because his curiosity continued to envelop him, he made another deposit, but the amount was smaller than before, namely 50 US Dollars, and in the second game, he almost managed to fully recover the losses he experienced previously because he got a win because he won a relatively large amount, namely 280 US Dollars, but because curiosity continued to surround him and he thought that luck was on his side, he finally decided to continue the game so that he could return the capital he previously spent in full and get more profits. And at the end of the story it seems that good luck was not on his side as he had to lose everything including the victory he got.

The psychological factor says that the gambler will target the next big win after the small win made by the gambler. If the gambler had won 100 dollars from the gambling, the next target to the gambler will be the 500 dollars. So if that success,he will target the 1k dollars from the gambling. At the end the gambler consider the gambling as the earning tool in the regular basis. Not the 300 dollar as the first win to the gambler, even if he had won the 50 dollars from the gambling. This is the enough one for the gambler to target the high again and again till he get satisfied with the win from the gambling. The gambler mostly satisfy if the winning money above 5-6k dollars.

In gambling satisfaction is not guaranteed. If we are to follow your advice it's very true. At some point, he won 280 usd. Is it not a trick to keep him? because if he didn't win such amount, his fun will be pruned. With that win he spent more time gambling, until he lost all. After wagering about 350 usd, he got 280usd in return, he's not profiting. Hence, he needs to profit, and it looks as if it'll be possible, with such win. And if he didn't win such an amount he may not have gambled more. The house rewarded him more time, by giving him a win. Even the house gamble with the wins. Although, almost impossible that the gambler will leave after winning that amount. It's like a friction that pushes the player to continue staking more of the money. But, if he had left, the casino will be on a short of 280 usd and the player short of 70usd there about. Which is a fair play. Considering the fun from the game, the gambler shouldn't be sad for not winning. It's also important to watch out for the house, as gamblers. Because they need money to settle bills. Therefore, a player have to be prepared before gambling money. Or he'll be pinned to play all his funds chasing losses. When a person is not winning, they'll need to re strategize. The purpose of it is that, losing continuously makes the game bored. As a game that doesn't require much knowledge to play, they should be a moment when the player wins. If the player keeps losing then the casino, is a hard to win casino. Despite the notion on casinos getting back the whole money, like in the above example. Still, players are meant to be entertained with those time intervaled wins. So that they'll feel lucky and happy, and come back to play more. To some players, any money wagered into gambling will be exhausted, depending on their personal reasons. While others find way of making extra profits, that can be used to gamble next time. Thereby using their profits to fund gambling, and saving up their other business income. It could be detrimental to the person's financial growth, spending money meant for their enterprise on gambling. Big winners, should always channel the money into good use. They can be used to gamble, while saving up our other sources.

I have been thinking and trying to analyze what is really causing the high cost of food in Nigeria, I came to realize that monopoly is the major factors, Nigeria government are the enablers. How can one person be the sole major distributor, government should welcome competition in the business sector, every business person should be allowed to produce.

Monopolies can manipulate the price of foods and if government let a single food distributor control the market this will likely to happens. If there isn't any competition in the market then a single controller will raise the price and govt can't do anything about it. To prevent this kind of issue govt needs to motivate other player to come to this sector and create a friendly environment to join the competition. This type of action will force the market to balance between cost and customer needs.

I agree with your statement. The market doesn't seem centralized. Although I'm not in the agricultural sector, but from my observations, money can set up a very large farm able to supply huge amount of food to the society. They're still cheap foods. Increase in demand increase in price. Decrease in demand decrease in price. Decrease in price increase in demand. The market is controlled by the buyers and sellers using price as a tool. The expensive foods, are most served food in the country. Almost every household or restaurant must serve or eat such food. Rice is common in Africa and the price keeps increasing. Foods like cocoyam is not quite common and not served in most households. That makes it cheaper than rice. The money used in purchasing a bag of rice can purchase a whole lot of cocoyam. I'd say that the perishable foods are cheaper than non perishable foods. Due to the low supply of electricity in some parts of Africa. They cannot preserve perishable goods that's why they go for non perishable goods like rice. Thereby increasing the price of such foods; rice, beans, garri etc. Since, these foods are going back to a diminishing return, due to much farmers and consumers focusing mainly on such food. Its production gets difficult, and Africans hardly get a diminishing return on a utility. They'll never get tired of eating rice. Hence, if they'll want to reduce the price of a commodity like rice. A good number of the citizens should stop eating rice. The price is controlled by the seller and the buyer. Not just the seller. The buyer can decide to give the utility a break. Such can't be found, in some food. If people get encouraged to eat some extincted foods, they'll still get them cheaper. Perishable foods like Potatoes sell for a very cheap amount because the production is higher than the demand. The problem with the people is that they've given all authority to the government, that they forget to figure out their roles in changing the society.

It may seem hard for you but there are people who can handle it all, so why bother? I won't end up with a conclusion and say: " it's a strategy of losing " when the games we are talkin about here mainly depends on the knowledge and skill of the player. What if the player posses both of those qualities? I know in gambling losing is still possible.

It happens because maybe on some games their opponents are much better, but if they can try again on other game, maybe they are now much superior than the other players? And they can now win this time. Same thing goes with the pure luck games. In a way that their results are random. So we may be unlucky on some of them but the results can now change on the other.

Yes, people possess those qualities; playing, very well, more than four games. But, those who focus mainly on one game can outdo them in that particular game. Because the time allocated in playing different games, if used to maintain a single game, they'll be more progress, In such game. Over the multi talented player. That doesn't mean one wins more than the other. They could be rounding up at a specific amount of profits. The more experienced player still got to lose. Despite supervising the game for multiple years. Similarly, the multi-talented player is expected to win too in all different games, a fraction that could amount to enough money. Those who are not experienced could be missing out on the profits playing multiple games brings. We all are expected to lose, regardless of the method we apply. Hence losing is not a method, because we don't plan to lose, when engaging into different games. I only expect the one game focused player to advance quickly in the game than any multi game player. And the disadvantage of playing a single game is that the multi game player gets a diverse fun. They can communicate or participate with slot, and poker players. I enjoy playing different games, and also maintain my loses. It's all based on luck, the kind of card rank a player has, will determine the strategy he'll use in the game. It doesn't mean anybody cannot play, just that they chose to focus on a single game. As one day could be their lucky day as well. Not every player can endure the boredom of playing a single set of games for long time. They'll like to switch and learn new things. At least the few knowledge on the game can place him within a group of poker game players.

Some months ago, I was almost scammed by a clipboard virus. Basically this virus replaces the original sending address with a phishing address. As a result all funds goes to an entirely different address. And it cannot be undone.
I have heard of these clipboard virus used by scammers, I’m not a technical expert but I always make sure I double check the wallet address I’m sending bitcoins to just to be sure I’m not making a silly mistake that will cost me. People who mostly are a victim of this scam are those who copy sending addresses without cross checking. this

Yeah, It's all over everywhere, clipboard virus used to take away people's funds unknowingly. The causes of such a virus is downloading apps recklessly to our device, where we hold crypto. It's crucial we mind the app downloaded to our devices as they could contain malware. There is an increase in security breach on the internet. Checking the address isn't all needs to be done. Maybe someday we won't be able to go through the address properly, before forwarding the funds. I'd suggest that users after noticing an attack like that. Taking away irrelevant apps or files from our device is encouraged. However, attackers have multiple means to con internet users, especially in the cryptocurrency niche. Aside from the techniques exposed by OP, the list goes on and on. But, phishing is one dangerous method, and it could be dangerous, when we are not observant of the URL of the site we visit. This kind of scam isn't simple to notice initially, that's why people still fall for it. Those other methods are relevant, but can be suspicious at a point, depending on the scam player.  Calling people claiming to be their financial institution can stair suspicions, if the receiver understands the trick. The scammers phone number may not be similar to that of the institution and the professionalism may not match that of an employed customer care in the institution. Most institutions, boldly announce that they don't call or ask for sensitive information from their customers. Unless the user doesn't follow diligent research process, the could fall victim for such a scam. Unlike phishing, it's just so difficult to notice.

Good day crypto Famz, I will like to ask gamblers this question, is there any gamblers on here that keeps record of their wins and losses? Do you keep a record of all the pennies you use to gamble and also the result?

Someone whom we both have this discuss yesterday said this is a good practice, I still don't see a reason why because I don't keep record of my losses, I tend to only remember when I win a certain amount, if its good enough you won't easily forget, but apart from this I don't care.

So Famz, is there any benefits when one keeps record on their losses and wins? Is there any thing to gain when you write down all the money you spent in gambling and also how much you have made so far?

Not keeping records, does this make me a bad gambler?

Pretty much, yes. However it depends what you mean by "bad gambler", if you're just doing it for a bit of fun and fully expect to lose a casual amount of money on a regular basis, sometimes with the odd winning streak, then you are probably taking the right approach. The only reason that logging your bets in that situation would help is if you think you might be spending too much or want to figure out how much variance you've got going on over time. Let's face it though, unless you're trying to engage in an actual career like gambling, you should understand that the odds are heavily weighted against you and even sport bookmakers are only interested in your custom if you are losing money over time, they'll eventually limit your account otherwise.
What is it to gain if not having a record of how much we spent in gambling? Other than that, gamblers that practice it will have better control over their gambling expenses. As the record can help them think better while gambling. I've not done that for gambling expenses. But, can remember doing it for other financial platforms. I think the difference is not quite different from not putting down a record of our gambling activities. For economists they can make a thing of those records and make huge profits from savings and calculated gambling moves. I commend gamblers that keep records. It's a good thing, even, just for the record. Reading through the past, facilitates good gambling. When we lose continuously we can see it often and think of a way to fix it. Or look for other casinos or games where the odds are not forced against the player. It can also add to the fun! looking back in time on how much you've spent on gambling and their worth now. Buying power. It's a nice memory. Although, if the journey didn't end well, it could be a sad one. Hence, even with the record, we still need to apply our senses. There is no gain recording losses. The record gets interesting when the win is more than or averaged to the losses. The records can be beneficial or important in legal cases as evidence. The factors that consists a bad gambler doesn't include keeping record or not. It's not a business. Unless, a professional gambler. He can decide to turn gambling into business. Yet most of the Professionals don't have to keep records, they're not used to doing it. And that doesn't stop them from winning.

1757  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 11, 2023, 10:01:59 PM
I understand the social impact in some areas that consider gambling to be a bad act, so that some people try to keep the gambling they do a secret. Technological developments have given some people more freedom to gamble because other people will never know if we don't tell them. So online gambling on available sites may be an alternative nowadays, if one does not want to be known by others when they place bets.
not a bad act but considered an activity that has a bad impact such as stealing, robbing and even killing just for money to keep betting and that is why certain parts of the country still consider gambling to be very bad to do so that most gamblers in that country prefer to gamble in secret . and actually there are many benefits to hiding our gambling activities from the public, but what happens more often is that someone comes to borrow money and does not pay it back. this incident often happens when someone publishes their winnings and then several people come to borrow money and when we always hide this activity we can avoid people like this. It does not mean that we are stingy, but its just that by borrowing money someone can break ties and that is the bad impact of someone who publicizes any activity related to gambling.

Keeping gambling a secret is a self decision. The status of the player in the society changes the perspective of people on his gambling attitude. People know the good gamblers, got controls and behaves well. Proven track record. Those who hide their gambling activity still depend on their behavior. Before society starts investigating. Whether online or offline gambling they'll figure it out. An addict whose complex bad behavior in the society discomfort the people. They'll be forced to take action. What matters is our societal position as a gambler. Gambling doesn't mean living outside the world. Gamblers have fun with their loved ones, provide for their needs, and still keep their family clean from troubles. The bad players always takes the side of the society. And every gambler seen as bad in the society doesn't mean it's true. Responsible gamblers don't have to feel bad about informing people about being a gambler. They'll also see that the gambler is living a good life. Unlike the addicts who can't control the gravity of gambling recklessly. And if they publish their wins, it also depends on a personal relationship, before the winner lends out his money. People who give us pleasure and joy will always have a place in our life. Hence it's difficult to turn them down. Without getting that feeling of being a bad person. Through them or personally. Depending on personal behavior. Even when they're two gamblers in family, the better gambler in behavior and self control gets a different treatment from the reckless gambler. Not informing people about our gambling activity is also a quality of a good gambler. But, it's still similar when we tell people about our gambling habit as a responsible player. I'd say that it all relies on behavior and attitude of the player towards the society. Not every family will be related to a family where a gambler squandered their economy in gambling. Hence, such a gambler, may not have met anybody who is against their gambling lifestyle.

And what happens if you experience a losing streak?

It would have been a great guide if only you have control of your gambling outcome—> so if it turns out that you are not lucky and your game does not come out like you have planned this guide becomes somewhat useless.

If you have a losing streak, you already "invested" your major earnings; this way you don't have to spend all gambling earnings on "gambling.
If you don't invest your gambling earnings elsewhere; you end up betting all wins on the loosing streak

You never can tell if you’ll even have a single win in that session (depending on the game you’re betting on).

If you take slots for example, you can just log into your account fund it and as soon as you start to play you might just start experiencing losses and in such situations the idea of “investment” won’t really work.

Humm, i think you still don't get the context; the context is factoring what you do, or lets say what to do after every gambling wins. E,G Bet 100 to win 1000; what you do with the 1000 before resuming gambling

It's interesting to follow the way our finances work. How a person manage their money should be abstract against another. The idea of going for a gambling break is fine. It'll enhance the player's gambling experience. And prepare them for the next move. Depending on the amount won. A player shouldn't go for a break on every gambling wins. It's also a good idea to continue playing until the duration meant for the gambling vacation is over.  A player that sets out 3 weeks for gambling only stops when that 3 weeks elapsed. Regardless of the amount of money or profits they've made. Generally, I accept the idea, but the syntax, I may not. Not every professional gambler do not understand how the loosing streak work. The money management is crucial, thereby maximizing profits. I'll personally wish for more wins while playing until the duration set aside elapse. That's a real gambling experience. Win or lose. Stopping immediately after a big win to take a rest, is like a winning football team quitting the game because they're winning.  The winner and the loser continue playing until the 90 minutes is over. There we'll find the true winner. People who fall for your point "betting all wins", most times belong to the win and run category. As they'll be back soon to spend the gambling money on betting. Following the game to the end, will give us a sigh of relief and also the outcome will determine how long we'll spend before coming back to gamble. The idea is great for every player to devise a personal positive steps to follow after winning expenses. The point is, the money will be spent. According to our wants. The money will be used alongside gambling. They'll play and at same time engage in other fun activities.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included) on: October 10, 2023, 11:28:49 PM
It's quite obvious that people love to gamble on what they understand how it'll end. The analysis of women football can be poor and risky for any gambler to stake games. Just like the recent slapping competition. I have no other reason for not betting on women sports. Although I watch them play. But it seems like a joke to me, seeing 12: 0 in a football match. That alone has belittled the value I had for women football, if I had any. Women play well in games like basketball, but most gamblers don't wager money on their sports. As it's not certain what can be the outcome. Unlike in men's game, the player can be certain or sure of what could it be, even though they're not sure.  Most spectators don't view women sports, and only hear it on news. I'm not used to watching women play games. That's why it always escape or never crosses my mind to gamble on women sport. But, I see the interest of men growing about women sports. Yet it can't be compared to the gambling activities happening during the men's games. This could be the reason why it seems like no gambler plays or stake games on women games. Some players do put funds on women games, not me. I've not done that. If I follow the games of women and understand few strong teams; technique, moves, and idea. I can gamble on women football. With my spare cash. And also, forget about the funds, it'll just be for trying sake. The predictions from people who may not be aware of the team playing, can be a wrong choice of prediction. I rarely know the team in the game, and how they've been helping to entertain viewers.  I think the lesser attraction or popularity of women's games compared to man, is the main reason why people don't think of joining women games in their bank roll.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 10, 2023, 10:43:48 PM
This example or question is for sport gamblers. The other kind of gamblers like slot players have no reason to wait for the wins. It plays out immediately and everyone would know their fate. Hoping or planning on some specific amount of money always ruins the day for the person, when the money bounce back as a result of one wrong move or prediction. Talk to him about minimizing how he thinks on his about to win gambling money. Stressing our mental health, with whatever reason, especially a constant thought on the losses is detrimental to the brain.  Disappointments creates a bad memory on the brain. And can endure for a long time. The more the player worries on his money the expressions he makes won't look genuine.  The anger can motivate the player to pursue his losses and end up failing to win again. I'll keep wondering why the game cuts by a single game. Imagine the fantasies on his head, during the successful winning of the other teams he chose. On the other flip, what is to come by losing it with just a single game, can be emotionally annoying and stressful. Thereby affecting the mentality of the gambler. Lecture him, OP, about how lucky he is, that soon he'll win big. Don't blame him or discuss about his mistakes. In such situation, the player, should be attended to with kind words. Discouraging words are not encouraged. Executing such a behavior after losing a game doesn't show the spirit of gambling in Op's friend. Also, greed causes the defaulting of a gambling technique. Placing 1$ to win 2k dollars. He assumed the ownership of the wins, not remembering how much he staked on the match. Explain to him how frugal a gambler he is towards staking money. Whenever we notice an unbearable or unfamiliar behaviors from a close friend. So, that he won't take a bad decision, which can hurt more their emotions.
