1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2023, 06:46:34 PM
It is crazy to see that Schalke really left the relegation zone now. I was absolutely sure that they will be going down into the 2. Bundesliga and now they are where they are. Even the schedule is in their favor with Stuttgart playing against Hertha now. It looks like this could be a happy ending for them.
It was hard to believe but they did it, they managed to win a lot of victories in the last weeks. To be honest, I wasn't expecting such a good series. But they are still at risk, they may have left the relegation zone, but they may return there. That's why they need to earn some points from the next matches as well. There is very little difference in points with its rivals Smiley

Schalke performed really well recently. They have been able to beat teams like Bremen and Mainz. And we also have to realize that in the matches they actually had any chance to win, they got all three points. They did not just get a draw and one from those matches.

I know it is hard to believe but this is certainly good for them. I also thought they are not going to be able to survive relegation this season. But right now they are out. Now they just have to be a little consistent and not lose the matches which they should not.
1742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving effects, how long they will last? on: May 06, 2023, 03:08:17 PM
Every 4 years, we expect bull market just because of halving. What do you think when is this chain is going to broken? Ie, halving no longer equals that bull market is coming.

No one can answer exactly what you say, and no one knows what will happen in the future. So what are you looking for to answer your question?
Everything everyone says here is based on their own opinion or speculation, which means let's just wait or wait for what will actually happen when Bitcoin's halving is already there and it's happening until it's over.

Of course, that's just a personal guess as no one has a crystal ball to see into the future. But there is nothing wrong with people believing that history will repeat itself because it has happened 3 times in the past, and there is no obstacle. We can't do anything but wait, but always keep an optimistic spirit, believe in bitcoin and your choice. As investors, we need to have faith and an optimistic mindset rather than pessimism. I still believe that history will be on our side and a new ATH will be created.
1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: Month of May. Bitcoin price guess on: May 06, 2023, 03:00:04 PM
It is very difficult to predict with certainty what the highest Bitcoin price will be in May because bitcoin price movements are very complex and are influenced by many factors such as adoption, market demand, and regulatory issues. However, if you look at the historical trend of Bitcoin prices and patterns of price movements in the market, there is a possibility that the bitcoin price will reach $40k. However, it is important to remember that the cryptocurrency market is extremely volatile and highly susceptible to sharp price fluctuations. Therefore, every investment decision must be based on careful research, sound market analysis, and take wise steps to minimize risk.

If you are a long-term investor, you do not need to analyze and care too much about short-term prices, making predictions is only for short-term and medium-term speculators. I as always, will not predict nor care much about the price of bitcoin, I only care about the beginning of the month will have a salary, and will use a part to buy more bitcoins for the 2025 plan. But I would be happier if bitcoin fell again than if it rose too quickly because my accumulation will be more difficult as the price increases.
1744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: May 06, 2023, 02:51:12 PM
I am not as optimistic as OP, my prediction is that we will enter the bull season in 2025, and bitcoin will reach ATH in the last quarter of 2025, just like previous cycles, and we will also have a bear season at the end of that year. I still believe the 4-year history repeats itself, the bull season will only come one year after the halving, i.e. 2025.
It doesn't matter that you are not as optimistic as the OP, because basically you also have your own confidence in Bitcoin by making forecasts from a four-year cycle. I also still believe in the four-year cycle, but for now I also have the view that this year Bitcoin will continue to experience price recovery until next year. Because before it reaches ATH, of course Bitcoin must have a better price recovery and it also happened in previous cycles in the past.

If you believe in 4-year cycles and if history repeats itself, then there is no guarantee that bitcoin will recover from now on and the price will never fall again. If you check the 2019 and 2020 charts, there was a time when bitcoin rallied over $12k but then dropped to $5k in 2020, before the halving took place. Many argue that what is happening this year is quite similar to 2019, and if so, we still have some major corrections before entering the recovery phase to prepare for the next halving.
1745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 05, 2023, 07:49:08 PM
Today, in the German league, Bayer Leverkusen - Köln and Mainz 05 - Schalke 04 matches will be played. Bayer Leverkusen are struggling to participate in the European Conference League this season. In order to achieve this, they need to finish the league in the 6th place. They will play semi -final matches in the European Cup, but they do not have a good ranking in the league. Nevertheless, we should say that they have not lost their last 9 matches in the league. I think they are the favorite of this match. Mainz 05 are struggling to participate in the European Conference League like Bayer Leverkusen this season. In recent weeks, they have also made a good statistics. I see them as a favorite against Schalke 04.
Leverkusen's performance in the last weeks was not bad. Köln is not a very strong team either, I think there is no reason why Leverkusen should not get 3 points from this match.
I think they can finish the league in 6th place. There is not much chance of going to the top anyway, the difference in points between them and the other teams is not small. There are not enough weeks left, we have reached the end of the league Smiley

At this point, I actually trust Leverkusen to win this match against Köln. It is true that the opponent is not a very strong one. But at the same time, Leverkusen cannot afford to take things easy right now. The main target of Leverkusen right now is going to be finishing in the top 6 position. It will be hard for them to finish in 5th position.

I believe it will be better not to aim too high. Evening for the sixth position is going to be a very logical thing to do right now. Anyway, I believe they will be able to win this match today.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 05, 2023, 06:22:06 PM
Indeed. Raphinha is one of the key players on the attacking line of Barcelona. But if there is a club that wants to pay him with big transfer fees, Barcelona may consider it. Barcelona can buy again another player who has the position as Raphinha at a cheaper price. Barcelona also still has Dembele as the right winger, so I see no big problem for Barcelona although they sell Raphinha. Sure, it is probably a nice selling, Barcelona can earn big money.
This is a good consideration for Barcelona. Selling Raphinha won't be so bad because Barcelona still has other quality players like Lewandowski, Dembele, and others. If indeed there is a team that wants to buy it at a fantastic price maybe this will be able to help the team a little financially. Facing crucial financial woes can spell trouble for the future of the team. Chelsea is observing the situation that is currently experiencing Barcelona, monitoring Raphinha's situation from a distance, seeing this condition it seems that it will not take long for Barcelona to negotiate with Chelsea or other teams regarding this matter.

I believe Barcelona should keep another player ready for his position if they are actually willing to save him. I am sure that they are going to get a good price for him. But first of all, they have to think if they are actually going to get a player who will be able to replace him properly. I am sure Barcelona does have players in the squad already who will be able to replace him.

But again first of all the coach will have to think about if the team chemistry will stay strong without him. I personally think if Barcelona can get a good amount for him, there should actually sell Raphinha.
1747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I won £50 - should I use it to buy Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2023, 09:57:23 AM

I don't know why if legendary here still doubts and asks how to invest,  because bitcoin it's been 13 years.

Why don't you think more openly? I don't think he needs anyone's financial advice here. As I know, he is over 80 years old, and he knows enough what he is doing with his money. Furthermore, £50 is not a huge amount and will make a difference when investing in bitcoin, and there is nothing wrong with him asking this question. In our life, there are many things worth investing in, not just bitcoin, and sometimes investing is not only for profit, but for many people, it can be fun and entertainment.
1748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: May 05, 2023, 09:49:55 AM
We generally prefer to do jobs that are usually less physically demanding but more rewarding. That's why today's youth choose Bitcoin as their means of earning. People who previously had no idea about Bitcoin are now interested in learning about Bitcoin. As the price of Bitcoin increases, there is a lot of discussion about Bitcoin on various social media and from that discussion, many people show interest in Bitcoin. If you know and understand Bitcoin well, you can earn good income from it. There are many ways to earn Bitcoin. So we should educate everyone around us about Bitcoin.

You are talking about investing and educating people to invest, it is not a wise decision because not everyone can make a profit investing in bitcoin. As can be seen, there are not many winners in the market and the majority of losers. Bitcoin is a financial market, which means there will be winners and losers, and if they lose, it will be your fault because you are the one guiding them to invest. If you want to educate people about bitcoin, teach them bitcoin as a means of payment, currency. As for the investment, let them decide for themselves.
1749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I may sound really stupid right now, but it's what I noticed on: May 05, 2023, 09:26:04 AM
I am present in crypto space years ago and I have witnessed two bear market, and I couldn't take advantage of one because of the condition that I was into at the time, but I heard about every good and bad things about crypto.

But I am curious about something and I will like to ask you old Bitcoin OG on here .

Why is it that bad news always comes in a bear market and when we are in a bull market, all bad news about Bitcoin vanished? Are they doing this on purpose? It's always the bear market, after halving everything will disappear and some bans will be lifted, and so on...

Are we been played? Are these people toying with us, knowing that crypto will work but let's scare the hell out of them and take advantage of the fear? I can't come up with anything that makes more sense than this.
Short answer: yes, absolutely yes.

Don't forget that there are very few bitcoins in this world and everybody wants them, and how do they want them? At the lowest price of course! It just can't be a coincidence that during bear markets there are bad news after bad news, many of those clearly made up. I've been in this world since 2016, every few months the market would go down because "China is banning bitcoin", they probably banned it 400 times if you listen to the news, and yet people every single time would fall for it and sell their bitcoins. If you believe in bitcoin just don't pay attention to all the FUD, sometimes it's true, the majority of times is not.
Probably, that’s how the market works. If we can’t stay and take advantage of every bad news that will make the bitcoin price drops, then how are we supposed to accumulate bitcoin in the first place? Actually, bad news are not only happening during bearish market, it’s also visible when the market is bullish, but people don’t actually care about it as they are more concern on how to sell at profits when every coin in the market is increasing its value and price. And bullish market creates the best selling point, so negative news will never be entertained anyway.

Agree that bad news is also in a bull market, but it is not as much and not as big as in a bear market. Do you see any collapse during the bull season? I'm pretty sure we never saw that happen but when the bull season ended, things got worse, not only the bans but also the collapse of the projects happened in a row during bear season. So I think the crypto market is a manipulative market and not based on supply and demand like other markets.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 04, 2023, 05:19:33 PM
76ers fans might not be happy with what Embiid showed today, they must be thinking they are way better when he was not available having a close fight in game 1 and better, winning it using fast-paced type of plays. In game 3, Embiid should prove why he is the MVP.
Embiid probably hasn't fully recovered from his injury, and I think his knee pain was one of the reasons why he didn't perform as MVP in Game 2. By the way, even if Embiid hadn't played, the 76ers probably still would have lost to the Celtics since Harden also had a poor performance in that game. In any case, the next game will be at the 76ers home arena, and it seems to me that they can take advantage of that.

The 76ers were not able to perform well in this match. Embiid was not able to perform well. And of course, that's because he is not 100% right now. I mean he is fit to play.  But he is certainly not going to be able to carry the whole team when he is not 100% fit.

I don't know if they will be able to take advantage of home conditions while they cannot play well as a team. They will have to perform well and all the players in the team will have to contribute.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 03, 2023, 06:12:35 PM
new rumour... breaking news!
according to the german 'kicker', english international and borussia dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has reached an agreement with real madrid and will sign a contract until 2029. according to the spanish sports daily 'marca', the transfer fee is likely to be between €100/€120 million
https://www.kicker.de/bellingham-soll-vor-einigung-mit-real-madrid-stehen-949699/artikel
But I read the news that Dortmund wanted € 150 million but this is still in the negotiation stage where it is possible to reach the agreement for the price range you mentioned, because Bellingham's contract is still long so of course Real Madrid will have to finance all of that considering Real Madrid's desire to bring in Bellingham is now almost finished.
Liverpool's hunt for this player is no longer of interest to them, they don't want to invest large sums in one player, that's what I read in the article, so maybe the only strongest candidate is Real Madrid, as rumored today.
If Bellingham comes then Real Madrid will have a great midfielder.

Well, it is almost certain that Jude Bellingham is going to Real Madrid. Now it is just a matter of money. I think they will be able to come to a solution. Liverpool was after this player for a long time. But in the end, they had to give up on their dreams of getting him. After all, a lot of bigger and better clubs have been giving him offers.

It is of course certain that if Real Madrid can get him it is going to be a great transfer for Real Madrid. Let's see if the deal gets finalized or not.
1752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was to be physical product? on: May 03, 2023, 04:25:12 AM
To be honest with you all, if bitcoin was a physical product, it would have become heavily centralized, and it doesn't matter whether the network, that is its blockchain is decentralized, bitcoin on its own would have become heavily centralized by now, it is the same as it is with gold, silver and other precious stones, metals, even shares, landed properties, real estate and so on.

And again, let's not forget that central banks I've seen bitcoin as a threat from the onset of bitcoin going mainstream, and have on several occasions called for its ban, if bitcoin was a physical product, I believe by now, government would have seized it, either to take it out of the system completely, or make it their private owned project.

What sets bitcoin apart from other assets is that it is decentralized and privacy-focused. And if bitcoin being a physical product means that those advantages will disappear, then bitcoin will become useless. Even we won't need it, let alone the government that will care and take over it because the government can do something better than physical bitcoin. I never thought about physical bitcoin, that sounded trivial and turned bitcoin into a toy rather than a valuable asset as it is today.
1753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think China is playing a double game? on: May 03, 2023, 04:06:44 AM
China never liked things getting out of their control, they need to be in power, and thats why they ban crypto mining first, if truly they plan to support crypto from now on they might come up with a fair rules for crypto miners in China, I think if China can be more opened to a centralized way of embracing crypto and also CBDC side by side it will be cool and other countries will learn from this.

Not only China and all other governments have that mindset. They will never let anything get out of hand and threaten their power. Like the US government, they are not as radical as China, but they also want to suppress us and control us more. I believe governments are aware of the potential of cryptocurrency, they are just looking to control it rather than destroy it. It's just that their approach is quite extreme and affects us.
I don't believe China will ban crypto forever, there will come a time when they claim to use it, but we will follow their rules, not freedom our way.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: humanity's dream to make a money on: May 03, 2023, 03:55:28 AM
It was humanity's dream to make a money without working ,the bitcoin miner can give u money  without work bitcoin, and all other digital currencies have achieved this dream as well.

I partially agree with your statement. It is true that we humans are increasingly lazy, especially young people who are lazy to work, they do not want to work but still want to get money. But talking about bitcoin mining to generate passive income without doing anything is not entirely true. I am not a miner, but as far as I know, mining is expensive and not easily profitable. You also have to work very hard while exploiting because the maintenance, repair ... will take a lot of time, and the need for appropriate calculations to make a profit is complex. Investing or mining bitcoin is both more costly and laborious, it is not free as you think.
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 02, 2023, 03:38:41 PM
I don't know how much ICC tournaments are going to get impacted, but bilaterals are surely done if this happens. IPL franchises have formed a cabal, and they are now in talks with dozens of players to lure them out of international cricket. In the end, cricket will become similar to football, where club competitions reign supreme. In the long term, I am worried even about the future of ICC competitions as well. If the best players are taken out, then teams outside pig-4 will cease to be competitive. And along with that, popularity of cricket outside South Asia will drop even further.
I am sure that international cricket is going to get affected. At the same time, I actually agree that ICC tournaments are probably not going to be affected. But other than the ICC tournament players are not going to be interested to play for the national team. Why would the players want to play for the national team when they are getting paid a lot more money in the franchise t20 league?
The franchise league being more popular would have worked if cricket was popular in all around the world. But cricket is not that popular. And that's why it is not going to be a good thing for cricket.
@Sithara007 of course this was bound to happen and it’s only a matter of time now and for further proof read the news where they say IPL franchisee are offering England player’s a year round contract for quitting international cricket and I won’t be surprised if those player’s take up that deal. Furthermore with IPL franchisee owner’s investing in other leagues it’s only a matter of time before player’s give up international cricket and I wonder if at some stage ICC will scrap some of it’s fixtures/tournaments in exchange for compensation from these Franchisees.

Of course, it is going to be very beneficial for the players to accept the IPL deal instead of playing for the national team. I do not think the cricket board of that respective country can actually do something about that. After all, it is a personal decision of the player. But that can be done by a player because IPL is very popular and they are offering a due to those players.

I don't think Pakistan can do the same with PCL. The same goes for almost any other franchise. It will also be very hard for the cricket boards to convince the players to play for the national team instead of playing for the franchise. Cricket boards cannot afford to give them that type of money because the revenue is nowhere near.
1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 01, 2023, 05:22:05 PM
Pakistan is leading two-zero right now. This is of course a great opportunity for them to actually win a series.
After all, Pakistan is being able to get win in those matches which are actually tough.
At the same time, all of these matches also show that Pakistan is being able to overcome the batting problems that they had.
If Pakistan can maintain their consistency then they will be able to win the series. But it is doubtful whether they will be able to do so in the end. In the upcoming match, New Zealand will try their best to win the match and save the series. But this might be Pakistan's last chance otherwise they might lose again. If the series is drawn or lost after 2 consecutive wins in the 5 match series then it is a big failure for the team which is not expected by the Pakistan team.

Pakistan has a great chance here. They really should look forward to keeping the momentum strong. I honestly feel like if they don't keep performing well they will actually lose the momentum and consistency. And New Zealand might be able to take advantage of that.

We shouldn't downgrade a team. Even before the second ODI match there were more discussion that New Zealand will do its best. Same as that New Zealand did it's best, and Pakistan outperformed with their performance. Both the matches weren't an easy chase. The targets were really good and in the second match once after the innings of New Zealand it is said Pakistan will win the match. What happened at the last, comfortable win. In the upcoming matches too we can expect similar results.

There is no reason for anyone to say that New Zealand is not going to be able to win. And I absolutely agree that there is no reason to underestimate New Zealand because after all it is New Zealand we are talking about. They can beat any team at any given time. And Pakistan can really lose the match and probably also the series if there start underestimating New Zealand
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: May 01, 2023, 08:47:15 AM
If we talk about investment and profit. I will confidently say that investing in ETH will yield better returns than BTC in the next bull season. That is not to say that BTC has no potential or is weaker than ETH, simply because bitcoin is getting bigger and more stable, its returns cannot compare to ETH.

BTC is safer than ETH, ETH still has certain risks because it is more centralized, but in terms of return will definitely be better than BTC. We are at the bitcoin forum, and most people here love bitcoin more than altcoins, so we will hear very little about ETH's profit potential. But to be fair, ETH will outperform BTC.

I have big doubts about it, that ETH will bring more profit. So, let's remember the lowest price values of ETH and BTC last year. Bitcoin was trading at $15,500 and ETH was trading at $1,100, in the next bull cycle ETH has a chance to rise to $8,000-10,000 and bitcoin to $100,000-150,000. The difference isn't really that big, but bitcoin has more confidence than ETH.

You may be skeptical because things have not happened, so it is difficult to say anything in advance. But if you compare them with the bull season of 2021. As far as I remember, ETH's low in 2018 was $90, and its ATH was close to $5k. While bitcoin ATL in 2018 is $4k and ATH in 2021 is $69k. That's a huge difference, but not as small as your comparison. If bitcoin can hit $150k, then I don't think ETH will only hit $10k in the next bull season.
1758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 30, 2023, 05:32:57 PM
These three heroes in yesterday's match played very well. Fakhar Zaman, in particular, deliver his outstanding performance on the field.
It's true top three batters of the Pakistani team have been performing so well in their recent matches, and it's a treat to watch them play. The consistency of their batting that we've not seen before. However, their middle order remains an area of concern, and team needs to address. I'm optimistic about Pakistan's chances of winning the series. Let's be honest, when the wicket is flat and offers nothing for the bowlers, it's going to be a tough ask for them to make any impact. So, the expectations from the bowlers are quite low, and it's up to the batsmen to carry the team forward.

The second ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand was absolutely unbelievable. Pakistan was actually lucky to have a good opener who can actually score like that.
Fakhar Zaman alone scored 180. That was huge. That contributed a lot to the win for Pakistan.

The Pakistani team played well in the first two matches of the T20 series. And they won. After winning the first two matches, the Pakistan team could not win the series. One month was abandoned and they lost the remaining two matches. But Pakistan is still very strong in the ODI format. But I would say that the performance of their bowlers is good. Pakistan won both matches only because of the good performance of three batsmen. Babar Azam, opener Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan have performed brilliantly in all three matches. If these three players don't perform well in any match I am sure the Pakistan team will face a bad batting disaster and lose. Pakistan should now think about how to strengthen their bowling line-up.
In last year Pakistan has won only one home series and that is ODI series against Australia last year. Since then all series played in country are either draw or lost by Pakistan. Pakistan was even not able to win T20 series against second tier new zealand team. This is a great opportunity to break there losing streak and win series. 3 more ODIs still to be played and Pakistan need to win just one to grab the series. Seeing the performance of Pakistan its difficult to predict outcome of this series.

Pakistan is leading two-zero right now. This is of course a great opportunity for them to actually win a series.
After all, Pakistan is being able to get win in those matches which are actually tough.
At the same time, all of these matches also show that Pakistan is being able to overcome the batting problems that they had.

1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take good care of yourselves on: April 30, 2023, 04:28:06 AM
The fact that you are a bitcoin investor doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy your life and live good. It is normal to deprive your self from certain things to get what you want, every goal has a price tag and that is the sacrifice you do to achieve your goal.
Yes, it is risky
to starve and invest in bitcoin due to the longer period it takes for the investment to be profitable but it's worth it because life it's self is a big risk. But the aspect of not living good or eating good food because you want to invest in bitcoin is what i dont support. Whatever it is, make sure you eat good and stay healthy for proper investment.

If someone makes life difficult to buy btc and hold for long time and not take proper food and others life need than i am also with you that its not good and totally against it. We earn money to live a peaceful and health life. If we spoil our health for money then we have not achieved our goal and same woth BTC also because we buy BTC to make money.

I know we shouldn't be too frugal, torturing ourselves to invest in bitcoin. But sometimes, we need to make a little trade-off to be successful. Assuming bitcoin is very cheap, and you know its potential, if you don't sacrifice, don't try to accumulate a lot of bitcoin from now, your life will be miserable later on. But if you sacrifice, accept poverty for 2 to 3 years to accumulate the most bitcoins. And when bitcoin reaches a high price, you will have the life of your dreams, and then you will have more time to take care of yourself.
