It's safe to buy now... with the halving coming, the price will shoot up in no time. Agreed, even if we don't see higher price at the time of halving, we need to have patience as it might boost up after 2 to 3 months of halving, need to wait for a right time to sell. even i agree with this,but i dont think bitcoin price need 2 or 3 month for affected by bitcoin halving,i think 1 week or at least 1 month after havling,bitcoin price have good effect from bitcoin halving. I think if something is happening then it will definitely be before the block halving as most people are pumped up because of the hype around the halving. After the block halving every bit of the speculation and the hype will be gone. There will be no direct impact on the price anymore. I see it differently mate, I am sorry if I am being so optimistic because I just wanna protect my current investment now. I think after the halving, the price will continue to rise in an substantial amount. But really guys invest and staking only 1 btc for this halving is just totally waste of your profit and time because its to small amount for waiting 2 months and get profit a little, and i can suggest that its better to invest in different program by that you can earn big profit rather than waiting for miracle does halving have, halving is far enough to wait and you have time to multiply your 1 btc while its not occuring. |

Ethereum is popular now but it is not direct competitor of bitcoin. Their purpose is slightly different. I've seen many 'bitcoin killer' alts in the past and none of them survived enough.
Someone could say that Litecoin is technologically better than Bitcoin - so why it is not more popular or priced higher?

I think altcoins also help bitcoins. I mean, altcoins also affect the price of bitcoin and every altcoin price always compared by bitcoin price. I agree that altcoins help bitcoins to grow and become more popular. But altcoins do NOT affect the price of bitcoin, the bitcoin affects the price of altcoins. The center of all altcoins is bitcoin, they have no control in the price of bitcoin. If the exchange of bitcoin to USD moves a lot, then alt coins will move as well. bitcoin was created first and before any of the altcoins that we know to date. So it means the existence of bitcoins is more important and all the alt coins depends on the progress of bitcoins alone. Yes i agree with that bitcoin is the first coin created and thats why it is very trend and famous among other alt coin but really altCoin for today is very important to traders because they making money with it trading alt coins like forex is profitable and there are some coin like eth competing because the value is rising to. Its very good for bitcoin to have healthy competation by that it can add color to bitcoins and can add uniqueness. |

There are 2 possibilities, either you want to send bitcoin or any altcoin to any address or you don't.
If you do then nothing can reverse the transaction, how ever if still not confirmed you may double spend it which I think you lose everything
Only the coins never reach the destination, I'm not sure how double spending works and if detected by block chain what happens to the coins
But when confirmation happens nothing can bring you back your money, sorry if you lost cash to scammers.
