Heat and Suns had a great night and have made their series 2-0 now. Heat beat Sixers by 119-103 again and this is quite alarming for Sixers now. Of course they would still stay focused as Heat haven't got 3-0 ahead yet. But I hope that Embiid returns by the next game and they can start fighting much better against Heat. Sixers are going to have two home games consecutively now and they can make it 2-2 if Embiid is able to play in those. And for the Suns - Mavericks game, the result didn't surprise me. Suns have just an awesome team play but it isn't the same for Mavericks. Doncic is trying to carry the team by himself and he scored 35 points in this one.
Just wanted to add something. Luka keeps talking to the ref and asking for some calls each time he attempts the shots. Not blaming him if he feels something, but he should not dwell with it and try to focus on the game, if he continues to disappoint himself it will not be good for the rest of the Mavs, playing against solid squad, both sides are very competitive, the very beauty of Suns as they continue to be established that types of game where everyone is involved and not just focus on their stars. |

Exactly, that balance is very much lacking for the Mavs. They beat the Jazz even without Luka but Suns are a different team, everyone is willing to score and they are moving the ball very well. Booker and CP3 maybe the best players but they have a huge support from the other starters, plus Suns control the paint.
Dallas 25 rebounds vs 34 rebounds of Suns, that alone is a big statement that Dallas is not better than the Suns.
Jazz has this firepower but not as a team instead as individual talents, Unlike with the Suns, point god Paul always orchestrating the play and Booker the killer is always on the run to take his kill. It's a very different team that Mavs is facing right now. They need to adjust. Coach Kidd should rotate the ball and not to let Luka handle it most of the time. That was great 4th quarter run, it only showed that Mavericks don't have a good defense and they are just a one-man team.

Zion Williamson came out today and said he was cleared to play and could have suited up in the Pelicans last game. He said his plan was to wait until game 7 to return so he could help them get to the next round and surprise everyone. Seems like a pretty juvenile plan that didn’t work out for him. Not to mention his teammates have to be pissed off that he could have helped them in game 6, but wanted to come back in dramatic fashion to be the hero that got them to the next round. Hopefully he can stay healthy this off-season so we can see him play again. He was exciting to watch, but I don’t think his career will be a long one.
And hopefully he could trim that weight to avoid more complications in his body specially the lower part. If he was there, there's a good chance they might end up in Game 7 but I doubt the Suns will just give it up, it will also be the time Booker will be at full health without minute restrictions. Not much of an entertaining games today as both didn't end in a close game. 76ers blownout and so is the Mavericks. Could not feel the 2nd round in this teams unlike the other pair. Warriors vs Grizzlies. I am always looking forward to their games in a close match banging at each other to get a score.  The real intensity of a playoff game. Homecourt advantage gives both winning teams a great confidence by beating their rival teams. I think a lot of things escalated into one to another earlier in game 2. Draymond was ejected again; Payton suffered a fractured elbow due to the flagrant foul caused by Dillon and Curry missing some important shots that could have sealed the game.
One thing I noticed is that, Ja Morant is just an absolute beast when it comes to isolation plays and clutch moments. It has been the norm that when the time is clicking, he can finish insanely strong on the basket with those nasty lay-ups and tear drops. One thing that he must practice is his shooting and he can be a beast. Though this may be the case, I do think that Warriors would win the whole playoffs. Looking forward for game 3!
I was thinking that Curry will shine once more. He did some great shots, but like what you have said, He missed crucial shots that might seal the game. Well I think the product of the sixers loss is mainly attributed to embid going down. That completely changes the game both on defense and offense. Bam doesn't completely go off if embid is in there. And conversely embid would draw a ton of fouls against the heat. More points and more possible bench time for some heat starters. Regardless I agree with your assesment of Miami, they look real good as a team.
It looks like coach Spo understands the weaknesses of the 76ers, given that the Heat was able to successfully dominate the paint during the first game of the series. By the way, there is still no specific date for Embiid's return, although Doc Rivers said that Embiid is already feeling better. So I expect he might be able to play in either game 3 or 4, and he most likely will be allowed to play only in a protective mask. There's no surprise about that because without Embiid, the Sixers will surely fall without their big man who's the alpha of their team. Who will play at the center effectively and at the same time brings a competitive offense without him. Embiid is already ruled out for the first 2 games of the series and yes there is still no timetable for his return but the Sixers are hoping that he could play again on the game 3. If he can comeback in game 3 and they will play at home, Sixers will have a better chance of winning that game. Currently, the chance of beating the Heat is slim coach Spo knows that Bam will be a big difference without Embiid plus that monstrous shooting game of Herro and the hassle from PJ Tucker. But this time, yes it was reasonable but they needed to survive the 2nd game again without Embiid.
They needed to survive this coming game 2 if they don't want Heat to have a comfortable series lead. Though it's not impossible for the Heat to take another win at home but Sixers needs to do everything to hype there confidence moving back home. We have all the matchups in hand right now. Heat - 76ers would be a really tough one and I think that it can end after seven games are played. And I think 76ers would win the series. Bucks are a very strong opponent for Celtics and I don't think that Celtics can get past them. This series can end by a 4-1 victory for Bucks I think. And Suns can get past Mavericks by the same result also. Grizzlies - Warriors might be a little more competitive I think and Warriors would be the winner by 4-2.
The game has started for the Celtics vs Bucks, and it's interesting that the Bucks is on the driving seat. But the Celtics is coming back strong and might tie the score at the end of the second quarter. But for sure this is going to be a very close fight. I have a bet on the Celtics, but Giannis proving himself in this game as it seems the Celtics can't fight a way to stop him and could put a triple double in this first game.
