Definitely an interesting idea.

That is a lot of money. Hopefully a large chunk of those are simply people that have faith in the market and are waiting for a more stable time. I can't see someone dumping them all on the market at once. It would make their hoard useless.

I have great faith in the bitcoin economy. I strongly believe we will get there over the course of the coming years. It will take time of course. Hopefully it stabilizes and slowly climbs higher, as we know parabolic rises are only good for those trying to make a quick messy buck.

All fiat currencies that can be printed in infinity eventually go to Zero, there is a long list of currencies in that graveyard.

I have made quite a number of sales recently with bitcoins. I also am diversified although and take PP and all major Credit cards. I recently just got involved with bitcoin and started accepting it as an additional form of payment. The response from the community has been great. I plan on accepting it for the indefinite future now.

I run into this too when I try to explain modern fiat dollars to people. They don't understand that there is a incredibly limited amount of paper dollars printed in physical form. The rest is simply digital 0's entered into a computer. At least bitcoins are limited in their creation. Central banks simply need to add a few zero's and create unlimited amounts of money if they feel like it.

Wow that is great news, not a bad article. Bitcoin be mentioned more and more, not a bad thing in my books. My company is proof that more merchants are accepting bitcoin. We just recently started accepting bitcoins and have had great success with it so far. I am also actively trying to convince other businesses in my community to accept the use of them.

Coinabul has a nice selection.

Haha, funny person who clearly doesn't understand the meaning of money. People accept bitcoins for services and goods. Therefore it is a form of currency. If NO ONE was willing to accept bitcoins, then I might agree with him. These are the same type of guys that try to say gold and silver arn't money. When you ask them to explain themselves, their eyes glaze over as they try to remember the most recent sound bite from msnbc that they can repeat like a parrot.

I'd love to add one to my silver collection.

All Things Luxury is a registered business. We have been since 2010. Just recently started accepting bitcoins as an additional form of payment. We are loving it so far, and have received some strong support from the community already.

Wow this is a hot topic. Definitely good points being made on both sides.

A new system would spring up, an OTC private exchange. A lot of people have a lot of money invested in keeping this going. They would have to do a lot more than just shut down the exchanges I think. Would definitely cause some problems for some time although. I like the example of how stamps and coins are priced by the collectors themselves.

Will be interesting to see how this all unfolds.
